Ronnie Price got another start on Wednesday, finishing with eight points, three assists, two steals and two 3-pointers on 3-of-7 shooting.
Jeremy Lin came off the bench again and a position battle appears to be underway. But once Lin is completely over his ankle injury and the regular season starts, we still expect Lin to get the majority of minutes at PG - assuming Steve Nash is in street clothes. Oct 23 - 12:36 AM

Ronnie Price had seven points, one 3-pointer, four rebounds, 10 assists and one steal in another start at PG on Tuesday, earning praise from coach Byron Scott before the game.

There's actually a chance that Price could start ahead of Jeremy Lin on opening night, but we'll believe it when we see it. With Steve Nash is already suffering a recurrence of nerve-related pain, however, Price is creeping onto the fantasy radar as the Lakers' presumptive backup PG.

Despite an earlier report that Jeremy Lin would start at point guard for the Lakers on Tuesday, Mark Medina is reporting that Ronnie Price will get the call.

Lin is still expected to play and will come off the bench after missing three straight game with a sprained ankle. Either way, Lin should be a nice, cheap source of dimes and point guard minutes this season.

Ronnie Price is a lock to make the Lakers, according to Eric Pincus of the L.A. Times

He's playing on a non-guaranteed deal, but has been terrific in camp with Steve Nash (back) and Jeremy Lin (ankle) out. This is bad news for rookie Jordan Clarkson's fantasy value in extremely deep leagues and Price has very little value, as well.
Oct 20 - 9:14 AM

With Steve Nash (nerve damage) and Jeremy Lin (ankle) unavailable for Sunday's exhibition, Lakers' PG Ronnie Price delivered 10 assists in 38 minutes.

Price finished with six points, two rebounds, 10 dimes, four steals, one block and three turnovers against an inexperienced Jazz backcourt. The absence of rookie G Jordan Clarkson (calf) is yet another reason for Price's increased activity, and despite tonight's solid line he's not an option in average fantasy leagues.
Oct 20 - 12:19 AM

Ronnie Price played a team-high 33 minutes off the Lakers' bench during Sunday's game, finishing with nine points, two boards, three assists and one steal.

In a bizarre preseason twist, Price's shoe fell off during the game and he threw it at Andre Iguodala to disrupt his dribble. The move earned him a technical foul but shouldn't incur further punishment. If Steve Nash's health fails him, as it very well might, Price could find himself as L.A.'s default backup PG.

Ronnie Price's one-year deal with the Los Angels Lakers is not guaranteed.

Price's deal with the Lakers comes on the veteran minimum and is not guaranteed, according to Sam Amick of USA Today. Price will provide the Lakers with camp depth behind Jeremy Lin and Steve Nash, but the 31-year-old may have a hard time beating out rookie Jordan Clarkson for a roster spot. Even if he is able to make the Lakers' final roster, Price isn't someone who fantasy owners should be targeting.

The Lakers have agreed to a one-year deal with Ronnie Price.

It's for the veteran minimum and he'll be with them for training camp. The Lakers had some issues at point guard last season, but they're hoping Steve Nash will be healthier, Jeremy Lin will produce and they're also hoping rookie Jordan Clarkson can build off his strong summer league. Price won't be in the rotation to start the year.

Magic waive G Ronnie Price.

The Magic had one of the more shocking moves so far in free agency, signing Ben Gordon to a three-year deal. Price joins Doron Lamb as players who have been waived by the Magic in the past week. He might catch on with another team as a third-string point guard.
Jul 2 - 4:56 PM

Ronnie Price started for Jameer Nelson (illness) on Wednesday and hit 4-of-6 shots for eight points, five assists, two steals and six turnovers.

He had a tough matchup against Patrick Beverley tonight, but somehow won the battle. E'Twaun Moore came off the bench and had nine points and two assists in 26 minutes, but both Magic guards won't be worth owning once Nelson is healthy again.
Mar 5 - 9:51 PM

Ronnie Price will start against the Rockets on Wednesday in place of Jameer Nelson (illness).

He'll have to deal with Patrick Beverley tonight, so that should be a real treat for him. Price didn't make any of his seven shots from the field in his start on Sunday and he's shooting just 28.3 percent from the field on the season. Coach Jacque Vaughn probably won't allow him to play 24 minutes again, so there's a good chance E'Twaun Moore can see more than his 32 minutes from Sunday. The Magic are expected to start Price, Arron Afflalo, Moe Harkless, Tobias Harris and Nikola Vucevic tonight.
Mar 5 - 5:37 PM

Ronnie Price had zero points on 0-of-7 shooting, two assists and two steals in 24 minutes during his first start of the season on Sunday, filling in for Jameer Nelson (sore calf).

Even if Nelson misses more games, tonight's dud underscores the fact that Price is not a compelling waiver wire pickup. He would also face a two-game week and competition from E'Twaun Moore (11 points in 32 minutes) and Victor Oladipo (nine points, four assists) for primary ball-handling duties.
Mar 2 - 9:11 PM

Ronnie Price played eight minutes against the Bucks on Friday with two points, one board and one assist.

He only had one shot in this game and it was a breakaway two-handed reverse dunk, so at least he gets some style points. Price's foot injury has been an issue for a while and he's unlikely to get significant minutes unless Jameer Nelson (knee) is out for a while.
Jan 31 - 10:53 PM

Ronnie Price (sprained foot) will miss his fifth consecutive game vs. the Lakers on Friday.

Orlando's backup PG doesn't sound close to a return, given how early the team ruled him out, but his continued absence shouldn't affect any fantasy lineups.
