Randy Foye (quad) is listed as out for Saturday's game against Houston.
The Nuggets haven't updated his status yet, but it is safe to assume we won't see him until later in December. The Nuggets could really use him right now with Nate Robinson (back) struggling, but Foye would likely be eased into action when he does return and should be left on the wire in most leagues. Date:

Randy Foye underwent an undisclosed medical procedure, and he will not be with the Nuggets for their three-game road trip.

Foye is currently dealing with a right quad tear, and isn't expected to return until mid-December at the earliest, so he wouldn't be playing even if he was with the team. The Nuggets have a very crowded backcourt and Foye was only averaging 8.4 points and 1.5 three-pointers per game over 18 minutes of action when he was healthy, so owners in standard leagues won’t miss his absence.
Dec 5 - 11:36 AM

Nuggets guard Randy Foye is expected to miss three weeks due to a right quad tear.

That should mean more minutes for Nate Robinson, while Aaron Afflalo will continue to get all the minutes he can handle. Foye wasn't getting consistent enough minutes to be owned in fantasy, but was a nice utility player for Brian Shaw.
Nov 25 - 1:35 PM

Randy Foye went scoreless for the first time this season on Sunday, missing five field goals (four 3-pointers) and both of his free throw attempts in just 11 minutes.

His numbers have been trending in this direction for a while now, as he's topped 20 minutes just once in his past six games and is shooting 40.0 percent on the season. He'll be a deep-league option at best while Ty Lawson, Arron Afflalo and Nate Robinson are all healthy.
Nov 24 - 12:43 AM

Randy Foye (knee) played 10 minutes off the bench on Monday with one point and one assist.

Foye is reportedly playing through pain and it wouldn't be surprising if he needed some time off. This, of course, would help ease the logjam in the backcourt for the Nuggets.
Nov 17 - 9:29 PM

Randy Foye (knee) will play against the Cavs on Monday.

He missed the last two games and the Nuggets will need him with Nate Robinson unlikely to play. Foye was only playing 22 minutes per game and he probably won't get much more than 24 minutes even with Nate out. He's not really worth owning right now.
Nov 17 - 5:23 PM

Randy Foye (knee) will not play in Sunday's game vs. the Knicks.

He missed Friday's game and the writing was on the wall for this one as well. Nate Robinson will be the main beneficiary in his absence, but is only an option in deeper leagues as long as Ty Lawson is active. Foye is listed as questionable for Monday's game and we will update his status as needed. Erick Green is also inactive for the Nuggets on Sunday.
Nov 16 - 11:54 AM

Randy Foye (knee) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. the Pacers.

Nate Robinson will be the main beneficiary in Foye's absence, but it'll be difficult for him to put up a meaningful stat line playing behind Ty Lawson. Foye's injury seems relatively minor, so we'll be listing him as day-to-day until we get an official update on his status.
Nov 14 - 12:49 PM

Randy Foye (knee) did not participate during Thursday's practice, and is being listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Pacers.

While Ty Lawson is healthy, Foye just isn't worth owning in standard leagues. In his past two games, Foye has scored just three, and nine points respectively. He can be viewed as a 3-point specialist for owners in deeper leagues, and we'll be monitoring his status closely as we draw closer to Friday's tip. Stay tuned.
Nov 13 - 2:23 PM

Randy Foye scored 28 points off the bench in Friday's blowout loss with Ty Lawson (ankle) out, hitting 10-of-19 shots (including five threes) with two rebounds, nine assists and one block in 32 minutes.

Lawson is going to try to play Sunday but there are no guarantees, and his health is a general risk probably for the rest of the year. On the other hand the rotation is insanely crowded and despite carrying much of the load last year, Foye started on the bottom of Brian Shaw's list when it came to the rotation. Predictably, Foye isn't thrilled about that and has been one of the only guys hustling for Denver. There is no guarantee that he can steal away significant minutes, but he's worth a look if you're feeling lucky.
Nov 8 - 4:23 AM

Randy Foye came off the bench and played 28 minutes on his way to 19 points, two rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers Wednesday.

He got the call over starter Arron Afflalo, who played just 22 minutes tonight, but we expect Afflalo to be back to his old tricks in the next one. Just keep an eye on Foye in case Brian Shaw is ready to make wholesale changes to his 1-3 team.
Nov 6 - 1:41 AM

Randy Foye played just 15 minutes against the Pistons on Wednesday with seven points, two steals and one 3-pointer.

Thanks to terrific shooting on pull-ups, Foye was great last season, and he also said he's expecting a big role this year. Well, that's not looking likely and fantasy owners in deeper leagues can make a move.
Oct 30 - 2:00 AM

Randy Foye expects to have a "huge role" with the Nuggets this season, whether he's coming off the bench or starting.

Ty Lawson will start at PG and Arron Afflalo has the SG job locked up, so Foye will join Nate Robinson as the lead guards for Denver's second unit. He'll have a few nice scoring games, and is a reliable source of 3-pointers, but doesn't have enough upside to be more than a flier pick.

Oct 26 - 2:41 PM

Randy Foye (wrist) attempted 12 shots in 26 minutes off the bench on Tuesday, but he only made two of them to finish with seven points.

To his credit, Foye made his only 3-point attempt and he added six rebounds and five assists in the lopsided loss. He was a surprise mid-round value as a starter last year, mostly on the strength of his 3-point shooting, but the arrival of Arron Afflalo makes him a dubious option in 12-team leagues.
Oct 22 - 12:46 AM

Randy Foye injured his wrist at practice on Wednesday and will not play on Thursday.

There is no word of an MRI and it's likely just a day-to-day issue. Foye was outstanding last season for the Nuggets, but he'll have his role diminished with Arron Afflalo and Danilo Gallinari around. He's not worth drafting in most leagues.
