The Nuggets are picking up Randy Foye's third-year option for $3.1 million.
The contract became guaranteed today and it's a very cap-friendly deal for the Nuggets. Foye usually plays well in the second half and his ability to space the floor should help Emmanuel Mudiay. Jul 11 - 10:11 PM

Randy Foye (rest) will not play on Wednesday against the Warriors.

With Foye out, there should be more minutes going to Gary Harris at the two. We could see Erick Green log some minutes there as well. Foye had another strong finish after the break, averaging 11.7 points, 3.1 assists, 0.9 steals and 2.6 treys in his final 26 games this season.
Apr 15 - 3:19 PM

Randy Foye logged 47 minutes in Friday's double-overtime loss to the Mavs, scoring 17 points on 6-of-18 shooting (including five threes) with five rebounds, four assists and five steals.

Those are some big numbers for a guy that many folks haven't put a lot of stock in. He has been a top 40-50 value over the last two weeks and he's a must-start player right now.
Apr 11 - 3:37 AM

Randy Foye nailed three 3-pointers in Saturday's loss to the Clippers, finishing with 14 points, five boards, five assists, one steal and one block in 35 minutes.

He had to carry a little more responsibility on offense with Danilo Gallinari, Ty Lawson and Jameer Nelson out of the lineup, and the only complaint that his owners will have is that he shot just 5-of-13 from the field with a couple of turnovers. The Nuggets may randomly rest him down the stretch to give their younger guys a look, but Foye is worth a look for any owner in need of 3-pointers.
Apr 5 - 1:01 AM

Randy Foye hit just 2-of-9 shots and 1-of-8 3-pointers in Wednesday's loss, finishing with five points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal on Wednesday.

He played 28 minutes, but just never got it going tonight. He's been struggling lately, scoring nine or fewer points in three of his last four games. He had 17 points and four 3-pointers in his previous game, but took a stumble tonight. He's worth a look if you need 3-pointers, but he's averaging just 9.0 points on 38 percent shooting over his last four games (with 9 3-pointers), meaning he's a risky play at hopes of a few extra deep balls.
Apr 2 - 1:25 AM

Randy Foye scored 17 points with one assist, one steal and four 3-pointers in 23 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday.

He scored just 14 points combined in his previous two games, but he really turned it around. Foye has been a must-own player in standard leagues thanks to his output in treys and coach Melvin Hunt has been playing him somewhat consistently.
Mar 29 - 12:28 AM

Randy Foye played 34 minutes against the 76ers on Wednesday with five points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer.

If Randy Foye gets 34 minutes in the second half of the season, he's usually more like Randy Moss because he's straight cash, homey. Before missing Sunday due to an illness, he played at least 30 minutes in his previous three games. He's worth owning in standard leagues.
Mar 26 - 2:26 AM

Randy Foye (flu) was a full participant during Tuesday's practice, and he is expected to be available for Wednesday's game vs. the 76ers.

If Foye is able to go on Wednesday, he'll likely cut into the minutes of Jameer Nelson (hip) and Will Barton, while Garry Harris may fall out of the rotation entirely. Foye has played very well since the All-Star break with averages of 11.3 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.4 three-pointers per game, and he's well worth owning in standard leagues for his ability to light up the 3-point category.
Mar 24 - 4:21 PM

Randy Foye will reportedly sit out Sunday's game due to a stomach illness.

This news breaks an hour before tip-off, giving owners a short window to plug in a replacement guard. Will Barton and Gary Harris should gain the most in his absence, with Harris a likely starter. Foye has been terrific in a starting role lately, averaging 18.3 points and 3.7 triples over his past three games, so this is a tough break for fantasy owners relying on him in a playoff matchup. Consider him questionable to return on Wednesday vs. the 76ers.
Mar 22 - 4:55 PM

Randy Foye was aggressive against the Rockets on Thursday with 23 points, two rebounds, six assists, one steal and five 3-pointers on 9-of-19 from the field.

He rested on Sunday and scored 16 points on Monday while others were resting, so there's a chance Foye rests on Friday at Miami. It's tough to project what the Nuggets are going to do, but the coaches and the players voicing their displeasure make it less likely they rest guys. If Foye plays on Friday, he should be starting in most formats.
Mar 19 - 11:54 PM

Randy Foye (rest) returned to action on Monday, scoring 16 points on 6-of-14 shooting with two threes, three boards, three assists and three steals in 33 minutes.

Foye appears healthy and that makes him a candidate to produce in the mostly uptempo offense Melvin Hunt is sporting these days. Owners are going to want to watch out for DNPs now that the Nuggets are openly tanking, but with solid mid-round value over the past two weeks whenever he is on the floor, Foye is a solid pickup in standard formats.
Mar 16 - 10:58 PM

Randy Foye (rest) will not play vs. the Pelicans on Sunday.

The Nuggets are no longer in the playoff hunt in the Western Conference, so it makes sense for the veterans to get some rest. Foye should be ready to roll vs. the Grizzlies tomorrow, and he is still worth holding onto for his ability to help out in scoring, assists and 3-pointers. Will Barton will likely be the favorite to start and is worth a look in deeper leagues, while Gary Harris could get some extra run as well.
Mar 15 - 11:19 AM

Randy Foye scored 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting (including four threes) with three rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one block in Friday's win over the Warriors.

Foye has been productive enough recently to be picked up and owners need to take a very hard look at him, but keep in mind this comes against the Warriors' JV team tonight. Foye and Jameer Nelson (17 points, four rebounds, seven assists, three treys) also benefited from Ty Lawson's absence due to an illness, and unless there's some funny business going on with that the only one worth owning right now is Foye.
Mar 14 - 1:35 AM

Randy Foye scored seven points on 3-of-10 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds and four assists over 27 minutes in Monday's blowout win over the Knicks.

Wilson Chandler left tonight's game with a sore knee and it's unclear if it's serious or not, and Danilo Gallinari was quiet with nine points on 3-of-7 shooting in 18 minutes so we'll be watching to see if this was a knee thing or a Knicks thing. That leaves Foye as a potential minutes mopper and that's a role he has thrived in before, but with little to show owners this season he's a speculative add only.
Mar 10 - 1:10 AM

Randy Foye came out of nowhere and dropped 20 points against the Rockets on Saturday, adding seven assists, two boards, two steals, one block and three 3-pointers in 27 minutes.

He was 7-of-11 from the field and connected on three of his seven attempts form beyond the arc, and Foye has to be feeling relived considering that it was the most points he has scored since Nov. 7 when he scored 28 points vs. the Cavaliers. However, even though Foye has been starting for Denver, he has been wildly inconsistent and was held to just three points vs. the Spurs on Friday. He is only worth a look in deeper leagues for owners in need of 3-pointers.
