Randy Foye is anticipating being a leader on a young Nets team.
"One of the things I’m looking to bring is leadership," he said. "Just try to grab guys after workouts and say, ‘hey let’s shoot some more,’ or do ball-handling drills, or play today. Or if we’re doing sprints or whatever we’re doing and we’re dead tired, let’s do one more or two more. More than anything, I’m trying to be a leader and lead by example." Foye could spend time at either point guard or shooting guard in Brooklyn, but he'll provide far more value off the court to his teammates than he will on it for his newest squad. He is not on the fantasy radar. Aug 20 - 3:02 PM

Randy Foye said that he doesn't care if he starts for the Nets.

The veteran shooting guard said he's arriving "with no ego" and that GM Sean Marks told him to be a leader on the young Brooklyn team. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Bojan Bogdanovic are the favorites to start on the wings, so Foye's role could be pretty limited. The Nets aren't expected to be a playoff team by any means, so expect younger guys like Caris LeVert and Isaiah Whitehead to see larger roles as the season progresses as well. Foye isn't worth drafting in standard leagues.
Aug 6 - 11:49 AM

Randy Foye has agreed to a deal with the Brooklyn Nets, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

Foye's deal is reportedly for one year and will provide the Nets with a veteran presence as they rebuild. While Foye could see decent minutes for the Nets, he's not a target in standard fantasy leagues.
Jul 14 - 12:59 PM

Veteran guard Randy Foye is out of New York's current price range, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post.

The Knicks are looking for a backup point guard, but the franchise has reportedly been told that more cap space would be required in order to land Foye's services. Other names mentioned in this report include Aaron Brooks, Ramon Sessions, Raymond Felton, Kirk Hinrich, Jordan Farmar, Mario Chalmers and Seth Curry. If Foye is too expensive, Knicks fans shouldn't be expecting Curry, either.

The Knicks are reportedly interested in free agent guard Randy Foye.

The Knicks will need to clear up some more cap space in order to land Foye, but he would certainly be an upgrade over restricted free agent Langston Galloway. Foye would also give the Knicks some insurance behind the oft-injured Derrick Rose, but he wouldn't have much fantasy value right out of the gate. The Wolves are also said to be interested in Foye.
Jul 3 - 10:56 AM

The Wolves are reportedly interested in free agent guard Randy Foye.

It seems like the Wolves have been linked with everybody, so they're probably just doing their due diligence. Foye would simply be a backup behind Zach LaVine in Minnesota and would have very little fantasy value.
Jul 2 - 12:38 PM

Randy Foye said he "definitely" wants to be back with the Thunder next season.

He saw his minutes take a hit this season with multiple DNP-CDs since being traded to OKC. Foye also had his worst season beyond the arc and from the field overall. He likely won't have much fantasy value next year.
Jun 1 - 3:38 PM

Thunder beat writer Anthony Slater expects Randy Foye to serve as the backup point guard vs. San Antonio moving forward.

Cameron Payne has really struggled vs. San Antonio, so Foye should move into the backup role behind Russell Westbrook. In Sunday's Game 4 win, Foye finished with five points and a triple in nine and a half minutes.

May 9 - 11:19 AM

Randy Foye made a start against the Blazers on Wednesday, making 3-of-11 from the field for 11 points with three rebounds, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes.

Russell Westbrook rested for the first time in his career to open up run for Foye at the point. Westbrook could rest again at some point, so maybe Foye can redeem himself after a sub-par start. He did come off the bench in the second half.
Apr 7 - 12:53 AM

Randy Foye is starting at point guard against the Blazers on Wednesday.

There should still be a lot of Cameron Payne with Foye getting some wing minutes. Foye is still a decent punt play in DFS and the same goes for Payne, too.
Apr 6 - 9:49 PM

Randy Foye started the second half on Friday against the Wolves, finishing with six points, one rebound, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.

Andre Roberson (ankle) did not return from his ankle tweak. Foye figures to be involved in the offense more than Roberson, but he's not worth adding in most leagues right now.
Mar 12 - 12:30 AM

Randy Foye made his Thunder debut on Sunday, coming off the bench for two points and one assist in 14 minutes.

Foye shot 1-of-5 from the field with only one 3-point attempt, and will need some time to get comfortable alongside his new teammates. With Russell Westbrook and Dion Waiters starting, Cameron Payne in the rotation and Andre Roberson on the verge of a return, there's no reason to touch Foye in typical leagues.
Feb 21 - 6:35 PM

Billy Donovan said that Randy Foye has become "much more comfortable" with the Thunder's system, and he could play Sunday vs. the Cavs.

Foye picked up a DNP-CD during his first game with the Thunder, but it sounds like Donovan may let him get some limited run tonight. Still, Foye isn't going to have a large enough role with the Thunder while the main guys are healthy to warrant any attention in standard fantasy leagues.
Feb 21 - 2:23 PM

Randy Foye picked up a DNP-CD on Friday vs. the Pacers.

He was supposed to make his Thunder debut tonight, but coach Billy Donovan probably wants to see him get some practice time with his new teammates first. Foye has a ton of competition for minutes on the wing, so he likely won't be much more than just a 3-point specialist.
Feb 19 - 11:48 PM

Randy Foye will make his Thunder debut vs. the Pacers on Friday, as expected.

Foye was acquired at the deadline in exchange for D.J. Augustin and Steve Novak, and he's unlikely to earn a fantasy-worthy role while Russell Westbrook and Dion Waiters are healthy. Leave him on the wire unless you need a cheap source of 3-pointers in a deep league.
