Rockets signed F Alexander Johnson, formerly of the NBADL's Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Johnson has had cups of coffee with both the Jazz and Heat in his career. He projects as a shot blocking specialist reserve.

The Rockets are bringing in D-League forward Alexander Johnson for a tryout this week and are expected to sign him for the rest of the season.

Continuing a popular trend, Johnson's deal would likely include a non-guaranteed team option for next season, so he could play on the summer-league team and compete in training camp.

The Miami Heat waived forward Alexander Johnson on Monday.

Johnson was signed by the Heat in August 2007, appearing in 43 games during their league-worst 15-67 season. He could continue to float around the league as a role player, but doesn't appear likely to ever be fantasy worthy.

Alexander Johnson returned to action on Wednesday from a head injury.

He had four points in five minutes.

Alexander Johnson expects to play in Miami's next game after missing six days with a concussion.

"I still feel weird but I feel a lot better than I did," Johnson said. Johnson won't have value in a few games with Miami's unrecognizable team.

Alexander Johnson will not play in Miami's game on Sunday, as he recovers from a vicious head injury that hospitalized him last Friday.

Johnson remains out indefinitely, and the possibility exists that he won't be cleared to play again this season. Things can't get much worse for the Heat this year.

Heat forward Alexander Johnson is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Pistons after suffering a scary-looking concussion on Friday.

Johnson was cleared to fly with the team to Miami on Saturday, but it's unclear when he'll be able to return to action. Pat Riley neatly summed up the Heat's frustrating season, saying, "This godforsaken season has got to be over with."

Miami forward Alexander Johnson was hospitalized after a collision late in the Heat's loss to the Wizards on Friday, but has been released from the hospital and cleared to go home.

Johnson fell to the floor and was taken to the locker room before going to a hospital after the game for a CT-scan. "He got hit in the temple and he's just not responding at all," Miami coach Pat Riley said. "We're not sure what it is. He's breathing, he's just not responding to who he is, where he's at." This was disturbing news for Johnson and his family, but it sounds like he'll be OK. This news means more minutes for Joel Anthony and Stephane Lasme.

Alexander Johnson returned to action on Wednesday from a bruised knee.

He had two points in six minutes as the Heat fell to the Knicks. If he can get fully healthy, Johnson could be worth owning over the last couple weeks. Keep your eye on him.

Alexander Johnson missed Miami's game on Friday because of his lingering knee bruise. He is considered day-to-day.

The Heat front-court is a jumble of minute-shares, rookies, injured players, D-Leaguers...everything but a solid fantasy option. We'll certainly let you know when Johnson is ready to return, but don't expect much of him.

Heat forward Alexander Johnson is doubtful for Tuesday's game because of a right knee bruise.

Johnson didn't practice on Monday, and Earl Barron looks poised to have another nice game if Johnson can't go.

Alexander Johnson started for the Heat on Sunday but left after suffering a bruised right knee.

Earl Barron scored a career-high 21 points, and should be picked up in most leagues. Dropping Johnson for Barron makes sense.

Alexander Johnson returned from a one-game suspension on Saturday, finishing with nine points, six rebounds and two blocks in 23 minutes.

Johnson came off the Heat bench despite the absence of Udonis Haslem, so he's unlikely to be of any interest outside of deep leagues.

Alexander Johnson served his one-game suspension on Friday and will probably start against the Hawks on Saturday.

Earl Barron is hurting and Udonis Haslem is out with after tweaking his ankle, so Johnson could actually be a solid play on Saturday.
