Thabo Sefolosha played a season-high 39 minutes in the starting lineup against the Thunder on Monday with no points, eight boards, six assists, four steals and one turnover.
He was on Kevin Durant duty for much of this game after having to guard Kawhi Leonard on Saturday. "We won this game because of Thabo," Al Horford said. Sefolosha may stick in the starting lineup or get moved to the bench. It shouldn't really matter because his minutes will be similar regardless of role. He is worth owning in standard leagues now that he's had his restriction lifted. Dec 1 - 12:48 AM

Thabo Sefolosha will again start on Monday vs. the Thunder.

For the second straight game, Kent Bazemore come off the bench. Sefolosha (24:42) actually saw more time than Bazemore (19:49) in Saturday's blowout loss vs. San Antonio, and the Hawks clearly like what a healthy Sefolosha can provide defensively with the starting five.
Nov 30 - 11:34 AM

Thabo Sefolosha scored eight points against the Spurs during a start on Saturday with four rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes.

Presumably, the Hawks put Thabo in the first unit to defend an offensive superstar at small forward. Sefolosha's value won't be too high considering he's not going to get many points, but he could have some sneaky late-round value. Most owners should shoot for a higher upside.
Nov 28 - 10:53 PM

Thabo Sefolosha will start on Saturday vs. the Spurs.

Sefolosha was rested on Friday vs. the Grizzlies, but he should see minutes in the 20s tonight and will probably be tasked with guarding Kawhi Leonard. Kent Bazemore will shift to the bench against the Spurs after he returned from his ankle injury on Friday, but it's possible that the Hawks are just being cautious with him since it's the second night of a back-to-back set. Sefolosha is more of a defensive specialist, so he is better suited for deeper leagues.
Nov 28 - 7:10 PM

Thabo Sefolosha (rest) will not play against the Grizzlies on Friday.

It's just rest on the front end of a back-to-back set. Sefolosha did have some tightness in his ankle following a back-to-back set last week, so the Hawks will play it safe. Kent Bazemore (ankle) is back and starting while Lamar Patterson should get some run, too.
Nov 27 - 6:38 PM

Making another start at SF on Wednesday, Thabo Sefolosha contributed 10 points, two 3-pointers, six rebounds and one block in 32 minutes vs. the Wolves.

His defense kept Andrew Wiggins in check, as he scored only 15 points on 5-of-17 shooting, and it will be interesting to see how Mike Budenholzer uses Thabo once Kent Bazemore (ankle) returns to action. Tonight's solid game comes on the heels of a terrific game vs. the Celtics, and Sefolosha is worth deploying while logging 30+ minutes as a starter.
Nov 25 - 11:41 PM

Thabo Sefolosha drew another start in the absence of Kent Bazemore (ankle) on Tuesday, hitting 7-of-8 shots for a season-high 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks in an easy win over the Celtics.

He's not really an offensive threat on most nights, but has played well on that end of the court in two straight. He'll continue to start and guard the opposition's best player for as long as Bazemore is out, but is only a real option in fantasy on nights when Baze isn't playing. Bazemore has missed four straight games, but should be back by the end of the week.
Nov 24 - 11:19 PM

Thabo Sefolosha scored 13 points in a start against the Cavs on Saturday with five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes.

The Hawks put him out there on LeBron James and he did a fine job. Sefolosha's added playing time probably won't last for long with Kent Bazemore (ankle) likely back in the next couple games. If he's out there on the wire, he should probably stay there.
Nov 21 - 10:07 PM

Thabo Sefolosha will start against the Cavs on Saturday.

This one has to be due to LeBron James, so the Hawks will get Sefolosha on him as much as they can. He's still not too involved in the offense, but should get enough minutes to be a viable fantasy option.
Nov 21 - 6:09 PM

Thabo Sefolosha will play against the Cavaliers on Saturday.

He had some tightness in his ankle on Wednesday following the back-to-back set, but he'll be out there. Sefolosha and the Hawks don't have another back-to-back until Tuesday and Wednesday. He should get close to 28-30 minutes on Saturday.
Nov 20 - 3:27 PM

Thabo Sefolosha said his ankle was very tight following Wednesday's game, finishing with three points, three boards, two assists, two steals and one turnover in 21 minutes.

It was the second night of a back-to-back, so the Hawks may be resting him in those instances going forward. It was his worst game on the stat sheet since the opener. Sefolosha was taking an uncharacteristically high amount of shots in his previous three games, but he was back down to being the fifth option in the offense. He's only worth a look in 18-team leagues while Kent Bazemore (ankle) is out.
Nov 18 - 11:03 PM

Thabo Sefolosha and Kyle Korver are both available for Wednesday against the Kings.

It's the second game of a back-to-back set, but the Hawks seem a lot more comfortable using their veteran wings.
Nov 18 - 6:24 PM

Thabo Sefolosha scored eight points with seven rebounds, one assist, one block and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes on Tuesday.

The Tiago Splitter experiment didn't go well, so Sefolsha may be the next man up in the starting lineup. Regardless, he's always had a low usage rate, so his ceiling won't be quite as high. If you're looking for some defensive stats and treys, give Thabo a look in 14-team leagues.
Nov 17 - 11:31 PM

Head coach Mike Budenholzer said he will see how Thabo Sefolosha does during Tuesday's game against the Nets before deciding on his availability for Wednesday's matchup with the Kings.

Sefolosha has not yet played in back-to-back sets, but with Kent Bazemore (ankle) on the sidelines, the Hawks may need to rely on Thabo more than usual. He's more of a steals specialist in deep leagues than a DFS target.
Nov 17 - 6:45 PM

Thabo Sefolosha had five points, six rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 23 minutes off the Hawks' bench on Sunday.

Thabo also canned one 3-pointer and this is representative of his quiet, across-the-board appeal. He could see his minutes spike if Kent Bazemore's ankle injury costs him any games, so keep an eye on the Hawks' injury report.
