Thabo Sefolosha started against the Raptors on Thursday with 10 points, two rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.
He picked up a spot-start for Kent Bazemore (knee) but Bazemore should be back for the next one. Leave Sefolosha on the wire. On the reality side of things, Thabo's defense was fantastic. Apr 7 - 11:24 PM

Thabo Sefolosha will enter the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Raptors, with Kent Bazemore (knee) unavailable.

Through 10 starts this season, Sefolosha has compiled averages of 9.0 points, 5.0 boards, 1.7 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.9 swats per contest on 53.4 percent shooting. He's on the radar as a potential punt play in DFS.
Apr 7 - 7:13 PM

Thabo Sefolosha (sore right ankle) was invisible in 12 bench minutes on Wednesday, contributing one assist without any field goal or free throw attempts.

Thabo's ankle was a factor in the dud and he was outplayed by starter Kent Bazemore, who chipped in nine points, three boards, three assists and one steal. This was only the Hawks' second loss in their past 11 games but they're just 1.5 games ahead of the No. 4 seed Heat, so they'll need better from Thabo when the face the Cavs on Friday.
Mar 30 - 10:14 PM

Thabo Sefolosha (right ankle stiffness) is probable to play Wednesday against the Raptors.

He'll play, but with averages of just 6.7 points, 4.6 boards and 1.2 steals per game, Sefolosha can only be viewed as a steals specialist in extremely deep leagues.
Mar 29 - 4:34 PM

Thabo Sefolosha (ankle stiffness) scored points with two rebounds against the Bulls on Monday.

He played his normal amount of minutes as the Hawks' defensive stopper. Sefolosha still won't have value in most leagues and he might get some rest days, too.
Mar 28 - 11:19 PM

Thabo Sefolosha (ankle) is available for Monday's game vs. the Bulls.

This doesn't mean he will play, but it's a sign that his ankle issue isn't serious. To be clear, he's only on the radar in deeper leagues anyways. Tim Hardaway Jr. will play less if Sefolosha gives it a go.
Mar 28 - 8:10 PM

Thabo Sefolosha's (ankle stiffness) status still hasn't been determined for Monday's game vs. the Bulls.

He was held out of Saturday's game as a precaution and it's possible that the Hawks will continue to be cautious with the veteran. If Sefolosha sits again, expect to see a few more minutes for Tim Hardaway Jr.
Mar 28 - 6:40 PM

Thabo Sefolosha has right ankle stiffness and is questionable to play against the Bulls on Monday.

He was held out on Saturday as a precaution and now we know why. If Sefolosha can't play, there should be a few more minutes for Tim Hardaway Jr. off the bench.
Mar 28 - 2:19 PM

Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said he held out Thabo Sefolosha on Saturday vs. the Pistons as a precaution.

"I think Thabo [Sefolosha] is going to be OK," Budenholzer said. "He just had a tiny bit of stiffness. It’s our last back-to-back of the season. I think we just wanted to err on the side of caution and do everything we can to keep him in a good place because he’s playing so well. He probably could have played. He and I together agreed that it was best not to play." Sefolosha was averaging 9.4 points, 5.4 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.4 treys in his previous five games and should be ready for Monday's game vs. the Bulls.
Mar 27 - 10:58 AM

Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer hinted that Thabo Sefolosha's role could continue to grow.

"He’s been playing really well. I will say that," Budenholzer said. "I think a little bit of it was gut feel. Those four wings, some nights Tim [Hardaway Jr.] is playing well and Kyle [Korver] doesn’t play as much. I think all four of them you can mix and match. There is a point where you have to have some steadiness and they have to know, but I think Thabo is shooting it well and playing well overall. So, we’re going with him a little bit more but it can change night to night." He's averaging 9.4 points, 5.4 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.4 treys over his last five, so he's on the radar in deeper leagues.
Mar 26 - 10:33 AM

Thabo Sefolosha played well in 25 minutes off the bench on Wednesday, chipping in eight points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer.

The veteran is an x-factor for Atlanta and he's been great over the past four games, averaging 9.3 points on solid shooting, with 1.3 triples, 5.0 boards, 3.0 assists and 2.3 steals. There's definite risk here, but Thabo is worth a glance for cheap across-the-board value.
Mar 23 - 10:14 PM

Thabo Sefolosha scored 14 points vs. the Nuggets on Thursday with three boards, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes.

He was 5-of-7 from the field tonight and has been playing better lately, averaging 10.2 points, 5.8 boards, 0.6 blocks, 0.8 steals and 1.2 triples over his last five games. Kent Bazemore (knee) isn't expected to miss any more time, but if he does, Bazemore would be on the radar in deeper formats.
Mar 18 - 12:01 AM

Thabo Sefolosha chipped in 12 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and a pair of 3-pointers on Sunday, despite playing just 16 minutes off the bench.

This is Thabo's second consecutive solid game, but it's hard to rely on him while Kent Bazemore is healthy. Over the past two weeks, Sefolosha has a usage rate of just 12.1 percent and he's shooting 44.4 percent at the FT line -- he belongs on the wire until further notice.
Mar 13 - 8:55 PM

Thabo Sefolosha double-doubled in Saturday's win over the Grizzlies with 13 points, 11 boards, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes.

This was his first good game in a while and it was also his first double-double of the season. Sefolosha is basically just insurance for Kyle Korver and Kent Bazemore on the wings and usually plays minutes in the lowers 20s. He put up averages of 4.2 points, 4.5 boards, 1.1 assists and 0.7 steals in his previous 10 games, so he's not worth owning in standard leagues.
Mar 12 - 9:52 PM

The Kings have reportedly expressed interest in Thabo Sefolosha.

There's no word on whether Atlanta is at all willing to move Thabo, who has been a good fit with the club, so it'll be interesting to see if anything becomes of this report. Kent Bazemore would benefit most if Thabo were moved elsewhere.
