Thabo Sefolosha was a no-show during Wednesday's lopsided road loss, going scoreless with one rebound and zero assists, steals, blocks or 3-pointers in 12 minutes.
The Hawks had won nine of their past 10 games, pushing them past teams like the Wizards, Pacers and Bucks for the No. 4 seed in the East, and Sefolosha's starting job shouldn't be in danger due to one awful game. No matter where he begins games, though, he's little more than a steals specialist. Jan 19 - 12:07 AM

Thabo Sefolosha scored three points with three rebounds, one assist, one block and no turnovers in 24 minutes against the Celtics on Friday.

He's slowed to a crawl in his last three, averaging 4.3 points, 2.7 boards, 1.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.7 turnovers in 23.0 minutes. Sefolosha is also on the trade block and a lot of things could keep his minutes down, so he's a cut candidate for his low upside.
Jan 14 - 12:30 AM

Thabo Sefolosha did not score in 18 minutes against the Mavs on Saturday with one rebound and one steal.

Tim Hardaway Jr. was hot, so coach Mike Budenholzer gave him some minutes over THJ. Sefolosha is still a hold in standard leagues and should be close to 30 minutes most nights. He's a trade candidate, which will certainly hurt his value.
Jan 8 - 12:16 AM

Thabo Sefolosha filled the stat sheet against the Pelicans on Thursday with seven points, six rebounds, five assists, one steal, three blocks and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.

His minutes should be very solid and around 30 going forward. Sefolosha won't be lighting it up in scoring, but he's a top-10 steals guy, adds a little bit of everything and doesn't hurt you in percentages. He should be owned in standard leagues. Although, he's probably going to be traded at some point, though.
Jan 5 - 11:29 PM

Thabo Sefolosha scored just three points in 16 minutes on Sunday, adding two boards, one assist, one steal and one block.

Sefolosha was one of three veterans mentioned as possible trade targets, with the Hawks reportedly "listening" to offers. Thabo is headed for unrestricted free agency, however, so contending teams aren't likely to give up much to potentially rent him for half a season. As far as tonight's dud goes, he and Kent Bazemore were simply out-played by reserve swingmen Tim Hardaway Jr. and Kyle Korver.
Jan 1 - 10:15 PM

Thabo Sefolosha hit 4-of-8 shots and two 3-pointers for 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, four steals and a block in Friday's win over the Nuggets.

With Kyle Korver (illness) and Tim Hardaway Jr. (groin) both out, Sefolosha looked like he'd play a big role tonight and he came through. He's not a dynamic scorer, but has four steals in back-to-back games, and is also a source of rebounds and 3-pointers. He's a low-end fantasy option in most leagues, but looks like a strong pickup if you're lacking in steals.

Thabo Sefolosha hit 6-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for 15 points, six rebounds and a steal in 34 minutes and another start for the Hawks Monday.

Sefolosha had scored a total of just 10 points in his previous two games, but is playing well, averaging 10 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 1.0 blocks and 0.8 3-pointers on 48 percent shooting over his last five games. As long as he's starting for the Hawks, he's worth a close look in most fantasy leagues.

Thabo Sefolosha started again on Tuesday and hit 6-of-11 shots, a 3-pointer and 4-of-4 free throws for 17 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in 30 minutes of a 131-120 loss to the Magic

This was his second highest-scoring game of the season (he had 20 back on Nov. 9) and probably his best all-around effort. The Hawks still aren't winning as much as they'd like, but Sefolosha is playing solid defense and was very good on the other end of the court tonight, as well. He's a low-end fantasy player as long as he's starting for the Hawks.

Thabo Sefolosha scored eight points on 3-of-9 shooting with six rebounds, four assists, two steals, two blocks and one turnover in 29 minutes against the Bucks on Friday.

The blocks were a little fluky, but the steals weren't as he was averaging 2.1 steals per game prior to Friday. He missed all four of his triples this time around, but he's played at least 29 minutes in his last three games since moving into the starting five. He should be able to hold onto low-end value as long he continues to start.

Thabo Sefolosha fared well in another start on Wednesday, scoring 10 points with five rebounds, five assists, one steal and zero turnovers in 29 minutes.

Thabo has taken over for Kyle Korver, and the fact that Atlanta snapped their seven-game win streak tonight means that Sefolosha is likely to keep the job. His assists tonight tied a season high (from opening night), but he's still little more than a steals specialist who won't hurt you anywhere.

Thabo Sefolosha started over Kyle Korver and played 33 minutes on Monday, and quietly filled the stat sheet with six points, three rebounds, two assists, four steals and two blocks in another loss.

The minutes and new role are both positives, as were the steals and blocks. He'll also hit some threes, and while he won't be a dynamic scorer, he's worth a look in most leagues now that he's the starter for the Hawks.
Mon, Dec 5, 2016 10:58:00 PM

Thabo Sefolosha will start against the Thunder on Monday, moving Kyle Korver to the bench.

The Hawks have lost six straight games and nine out of their last 10, so it makes sense for them to shake things up. According to coach Mike Budenholzer, this could be a permanent change moving forward. Sefolosha is averaging 7.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 2.0 steals and 0.5 triples in 24.2 minutes per game this season and could approach minutes in the 30s in his new role, so he's worth a look as a low-end option for owners needing steals.

Thabo Sefolosha will come off the bench against the Raptors on Saturday.

It was somewhat obvious Thabo would come off the bench after the rough time on Friday. Sefolosha is really just a steals specialist in most formats.
Sat, Dec 3, 2016 06:24:00 PM

Thabo Sefolosha started on Friday vs. the Pistons, but only played 17 minutes and was benched at halftime, finishing with five points, two rebounds, one steal and one triple.

He hit 2-of-5 shots from the field and took an early seat with the game quickly getting out of hand. Paul Millsap (hip) will miss at least one more game, so maybe Sefolosha can redeem himself on Saturday vs. the Raptors. For what it's worth, coach Mike Budenholzer hasn't decided who will start on Saturday. Sefolosha is just a steals specialist at this point.
Sat, Dec 3, 2016 12:41:00 AM

Thabo Sefolosha will start for Paul Millsap (hip) against the Pistons on Friday.

It makes a lot of sense with the Pistons not having a big power forward in their starting lineup, and a bigger power forward in the second unit. Mike Muscala should still get a nice bump in playing time and is on the radar to use tonight. Plus, this news also helps Tim Hardaway Jr. with more minutes at the three.
