The Heat released swingman Bobby Jones on Friday, 10 days after acquiring him off waivers.

Miami probably didn't need Jones any more after they signed Yakhouba Diawara. He will likely bounce around between the D-League and 10-day contracts in the NBA, but don't expect any consistent fantasy production.

The Heat claimed swingman Bobby Jones off waivers on Tuesday.

He won't have any more value with Miami than he would have had in New York, who waived him last week. That said, if Miami's season goes anything like last year's campaign, every player on the roster might get some run before it's over.

The Knicks waived recently signed swing man Bobby Jones on Tuesday.

Jones will likely latch on with another team before opening night. The Knicks traded Renaldo Balkman for Jones and Taurean Green earlier this week, but made the move in order to rid themselves of Balkman's salary. In addition, Balkman was one of Isiah Thomas' draft picks, and the Knicks are trying to rid the team of any memory of Isiah's reign.

Swingman Bobby Jones and point guard Taurean Green may not have their contracts guaranteed by the Nuggets this season.

The Nuggets must make a decision on the pair by mid-August. Green's contract becomes guaranteed for $711,417 if he hasn't been waived by Aug. 1, while Jones is in a similar situation with a deadline of August 15. Green had a disastrous NBA Summer League and Jones' chances of making the team were hurt when the Nuggets signed Dahntay Jones on Thursday.

If the Nuggets don't waive forward Bobby Jones (by Aug. 15) and guard Taurean Green (by Aug. 1) their contracts become guranteed for the upcoming season.

Either player could be traded by then to a team seeking to reduce its payroll. Both Jones and Green are expected to play for the Nuggets in the (Las) Vegas Summer League, but neither is going to offer much in the way of fantasy value any time soon.

Second-year guard/forward Bobby Jones was not re-signed to the Spurs after serving a 10-day contract with them. He's expected to rejoin the Nuggets, the team with which he started the season.

Jones was a second-round pick in the 2006 draft, and he set an NBA record this season by playing with five different teams.

The Heat decided not to re-sign swingman Bobby Jones after his 10-day contract expired on Friday.

Jones led the team in scoring in his final game and could still be re-signed at some point. He wasn't making much fantasy noise anyway.

Bobby Jones led all Miami scorers with 15 points on Friday, shooting 6-of-9 from the field with three rebounds in 28 minutes off the bench.

The Heat suffered another awful defeat, and things aren’t looking any rosier over the next few weeks. Jones is a borderline option, while Ricky Davis (10 points, four rebounds, four assists) will play plenty of minutes by default. You have to scrounge around for it, but the Heat are at least offering a shred of fantasy value.

The Heat signed free agent forward Bobby Jones to a 10-day contract Wednesday.

Jones has bounced around the league, last playing for the Rockets while also getting a pit stop in Memphis after starting the season in Denver. He should play tonight and given the fact the Heat hardly have a roster left, Jones deserves some fantasy attention.

Rockets signed G/F Bobby Jones on Tuesday to a 10-day contract.

He'll have no fantasy value, and the Rockets aren't done yet. They're still in pursuit of Brent Barry, and are also eyeing Jamaal Magloire to help replace Yao Ming, who is out for the season with a foot injury.
