He's been expected to sign for about a month, so now it's official. Novak only played three games with the Bucks last season following the trade before the deadline. He is not expected to be in the rotation.

The Bucks are expected to sign Steve Novak.

Novak suffered a season-ending knee injury last season, but the Bucks will sign him as soon as he receives medical clearance. Novak will be the 15th man on the roster if the Bucks also sign Jason Terry as reported on Friday. Neither player will have more than a limited role in Milwaukee.

Steve Novak is still hopeful to reach an agreement to return to the Bucks.

Mark Bartelstein, Novak's agent, said that the sharpshooter has options but Milwaukee is his first choice. "There have been a few teams that we’ve talked to; you always got to keep your doors open,’’ Bartelstein said. "But we’re still talking with the Bucks and, hopefully, we’ll make a deal with them. Steve would love to stay in Milwaukee. It’s a very special place for him.’’ Novak would see minutes in the teens at best with the Bucks, so fantasy owners don't need to pay him any attention.

Steve Novak said that his sprained left MCL will not require surgery, and he expects to be able to work out during the summer.

Novak will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but the nine-year veteran is not going to be a difference maker in fantasy hoops regardless of where he winds up.
Mar 1 - 5:59 PM

An MRI revealed a sprained left MCL for Steve Novak and he's expected to miss the remainder of the 2015-16 season.

Novak wasn't a major part of the rotation in Milwaukee, so there's not much to spin here in terms of fantasy hoops. We wish Novak the best in his recovery.
Feb 28 - 4:44 PM

Steve Novak has been diagnosed with a sprained left knee and will be re-evaluated on Sunday.

Novak played 11 minutes vs. the Pistons on Saturday with four points and one 3-pointer, but it sounds like he could miss some time. If he does, expect Rashad Vaughn to see a few extra minutes off the bench. Novak is not a fantasy option and belongs on the wire.
Feb 28 - 12:06 AM

Steve Novak made his debut for the Bucks on Monday vs. the Lakers, missing his only shot and finishing with one foul in one minute.

Yeah, there's no fantasy value here. Novak belongs on the wire in all leagues.
Feb 23 - 12:09 AM

Steve Novak will be available to play on Monday vs. the Lakers.

His role in Milwaukee is unclear, but he will likely only see limited minutes at best. Leave him on the wire.
Feb 22 - 6:52 PM

Bucks sign F Steve Novak.

It's a weird landing spot for Novak, and it won't come with any kind of fantasy value. In a related move, the Bucks have waived Chris Copeland.

The Bucks will sign free agent forward Steve Novak.

In order to clear a roster spot, the Bucks also waived Chris Copeland on Sunday. Novak gives the Bucks some 3-point shooting off the bench, but his role will likely be very limited. Leave him on the wire.
Feb 21 - 5:30 PM

The Bucks are the favorites to sign Steve Novak when he clears waivers on Sunday.

It's a little surprising that the Bucks are the frontrunners because Novak was expected to sign with a contender. Regardless, Novak isn't going to have much fantasy value in Milwaukee, so he should be ignored in all leagues for now.
Feb 20 - 12:22 PM

Nuggets waive F Steve Novak.

He was picked up in a trade on Thursday. The Nuggets may look to pick up a new wing now. Novak could sign with a contending team as an emergency option.
Feb 19 - 5:24 PM

The Nuggets have reportedly agreed to work with Steve Novak on a buyout.

He was a throw in piece to the Randy Foye deal in order to make the numbers work, but he was never going to be a part of Denver's long-term plans. The jersey that Novak is wearing is unlikely to alter his non-existent fantasy value and he can safely remain on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Feb 18 - 4:46 PM

Steve Novak will be traded to the Nuggets from the Thunder.

There's a pretty decent chance he'll be waived or sent elsewhere. Novak hasn't been doing his Aaron Rodgers' belt celebration in a while and can be left on the wire in all leagues.
