Solomon Jones was quiet in his first start of the season, failing to score with two boards and one block in 14 minutes.

This outing certainly is not going to turn any heads, but he did go against the toughest interior defense in the NBA. The road gets a little easier on Monday as the Knicks take on the Bobcats -- the weakest interior defense. He's worth a look in very deep leagues as a spot-start.

Solomon Jones will start at center for the Knicks on Sunday against the Pacers.

Before you run out and grab Jones, remember that the Knicks have started Kurt Thomas for 17 games and he averaged 10.8 minutes in those starts. While Jones does have some value, the upside of Chris Copeland with his 3-point shooting makes him a much stronger fantasy asset.

Knicks signed PF/C Solomon Jones.

The Knicks are without Tyson Chandler, Amare Stoudemire, Kenyon Martin, Marcus Camby and Rasheed Wallace right now. They just need a healthy body that's taller than 6-foot-8 right now, as their current starter at center is Chris Copeland. Jones has now played for five different teams in his seven NBA seasons.

The Knicks will sign Solomon Jones for the remainder of the season, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

It's not clear if James Singleton's reported deal is now in jeopardy or this is an indication that the team could be preparing someone else to waive, but Jones will be insurance for New York and not much more.

The Suns will sign Solomon Jones to a non-guaranteed contract.

He'll get an invite to training camp on a "make-good" deal. Phoenix is thin at center behind Marcin Gortat with Channing Frye and a brittle Jermaine O'Neal, so it's conceivable that Jones could stick with the club. He played with both the Clippers and Hornets last season on 10-day contracts.

Solmon Jones could be a "possible big man" addition for the Pacers.

Indiana is in the market for a backup center, and Jones has played with the Pacers previously. There is nothing to suggest that anything is close to imminent, but if the team is unable to land a backup to Roy Hibbert via trade, adding Jones could be seen as a backup option.

Updating a previous item, Solomon Jones will not be re-signed after his second 10-day contract expires.

It's a strange move considering how banged up the Hornets' front line is. Perhaps it's a sign that Gustavo Ayon's foot injury isn't serious or that one of the other three injured bigs are nearing a return.

Monty Williams said that there is a "good chance" Solomon Jones is re-signed for the remainder of the season.

Jones' second 10-day contract expires on Wednesday, but he's been a serviceable reserve for a New Orleans team that is dealing with a litany of injuries in the frontcourt.

Solomon Jones scored 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting with five rebounds, one steal, and one block in 24 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Jones has made minor noise in two straight games, and might have some deep league appeal down the road if the Hornets frontcourt stays banged up. Just watch him for now in 16-20 team formats.

The Hornets frontcourt is depleted right now, which led to the extra run for Jones. He's not a fantasy option.

The Hornets will sign free agent F/C Solomon Jones to a 10-day contract on Wednesday, a source tells the New Orleans Times Picayune.

The Hornets' entire team has been decimated by injury, leaving them with just nine available players on Monday night. Jones will be a backup behind Chris Kaman, Emeka Okafor (knee, day-to-day) and Gustavo Ayon.

Clippers waived F/C Solomon Jones.

Jones was not needed now that Kenyon Martin is in the fold, and the team let him go before having to guarantee the rest of his contract this season. He should garner some interest around the league from teams who need depth in the big man department.

Clippers signed F/C Solomon Jones.

Jones was already practicing with the team on Tuesday and head coach Vinny Del Negro said he'd like to get him into the rotation as early as Wednesday's game. The Clips are still waiting on Reggie Evans to get healthy, so Jones may get some run as a backup big early on, but he won't hold any long-term fantasy value. Jones has never averaged more than 4.0 points per game in a season.
