Ryan Hollins returned to the bench on Tuesday in favor of Reggie Evans, and finished with six points, nine boards and three assists in 17 minutes.
He actually played really well in limited minutes and even caused some problems for the Thunder in the paint. However, even as a starter Hollins wasn't an option in most fantasy leagues, so the fact that he is coming off the bench means he can be cut across the board. Dec 17 - 1:39 AM

Date:

Ryan Hollins will come off of the bench behind Reggie Evans for Tuesday's game vs. the Thunder.

This move was long overdue, as Hollins failed to make an impact for the Kings in the starting lineup. There is a chance that DeMarcus Cousins (illness) could return on Thursday, so Evans is only worth a look as a daily plug-and-play or for owners looking for short-term value. Hollins on the other hand, should not be owned in almost all leagues.
Dec 16 - 9:07 PM

Ryan Hollins played in Saturday's loss to the Pistons after his father passed away that same morning, finishing with six points, eight boards, one assist and two blocks in 26 minutes.

We wish him the best and it is great to see him muster up the courage to play despite the tragic loss of his father. The Sacramento locker room was clearly distraught but it is always nice to see a team rally around a player in need of support. While he is starting in place of DeMarcus Cousins, Hollins is only a short term option in deeper leagues.
Dec 14 - 9:32 AM

Ryan Hollins returned to the Kings' bench on Tuesday, where he posted two points, six rebounds, one turnover and three personal fouls in 14 minutes of action.

Hollins has played for seven NBA teams during his eight-year professional career, and his journeyman status says plenty about his lack of productivity. Fantasy owners can safely ignore him.
Dec 10 - 1:32 AM

Ryan Hollins started in place of DeMarcus Cousins (flu) again on Sunday but was ejected with two technicals and finished with just one rebound and one block in 17 minutes.

This was a prime example why Hollins is owned in so few leagues. Cousins should be back soon, so owners who took a chance on Hollins can't drop him fast enough and he should be left on the waiver wire in almost all leagues.
Nov 30 - 7:47 PM

Ryan Hollins started for DeMarcus Cousins (flu) on Friday against the Spurs, scoring 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting with six rebounds and one block in 26 minutes.

Hollins took what the defense gave him and ended up with a fortunate night. If he somehow gets another start, maybe you shouldn't summarily dismiss him in daily leagues the way you correctly did tonight. Maybe.
Nov 29 - 2:24 AM

Ryan Hollins will start at center in place of DeMarcus Cousins (illness) on Friday.

He's played a whopping 11 minutes all season and just one minute in the last seven minutes combined. Hollins getting minutes in the 20s would be a huge surprise and he is not a fantasy option tonight. Jason Thompson and Derrick Williams figure to benefit the most.
Nov 28 - 7:15 PM

Kings beat writer Jason Jones expects PF/C Ryan Hollins to play a bigger role than he did in L.A. last season, where he averaged 7.9 minutes per game.

"The Kings want to see how Hollins plays with DeMarcus Cousins, a move that would allow Cousins to play power forward," writes Jones. Cousins is the only sure thing in Sacramento's frontcourt, as Hollins' arrival further confuses a rotation that could include Jason Thompson, Carl Landry, Reggie Evans, Derrick Williams and rookie Eric Moreland.
Sep 28 - 10:28 PM

Ryan Hollins agreed to a one-year deal with the Kings on Wednesday.

It's a fully guaranteed deal, so he should make the 15-man roster. Hollins probably won't crack the rotation, but it's certainly possible given the sub-par performances the Kings have gotten out of their power forwards.
Sep 17 - 8:04 PM

Free agent Ryan Hollins said he's been in talks with the Heat, Kings, Bulls, Lakers and Spurs.

He met with the Heat earlier this month and nothing is imminent at this point. Hollins will likely get a camp deal with some team, but he won't be in the rotation to start the season.
Sep 15 - 9:10 PM

Ryan Hollins met with the Heat on Friday.

The Bulls, Kings and Spurs also have interest in the big man. Hollins isn't going to get in the rotation for any of these teams, so he won't have any fantasy value.
Sep 6 - 11:33 PM

The Clippers are interested in signing another big man to fill out their bench, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Ryan Hollins has been earning spot minutes behind DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin, but Byron Mullens isn't in the rotation and it makes sense for L.A. to bring in another big man as insurance. Anyone who signs will likely be on a 10-day contract, and will be a dubious fantasy option in limited minutes off the bench.
Feb 18 - 9:29 AM

Ryan Hollins is not with the team for Saturday's game against the Jazz.

Hollins is playing 8.7 minutes per game and has no fantasy value.
Sat, Dec 28, 2013 10:13:00 PM

The Clippers have agreed to re-sign C Ryan Hollins on a one-year contract.

Hollins averaged 3.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 11 minutes per game last season, and he's already familar with Doc Rivers from their time together with the Celtics. L.A. may also be interested in bringing back Ronny Turiaf on a minimum-salary deal to support their frontcourt.
Sun, Jul 7, 2013 02:06:00 PM

Ryan Hollins had season highs of 13 points and eight rebounds, and added two blocks off the bench in Wednesday's win.

He saw some extra run with Blake Griffin sidelined, but this was easily his best game of the season. Ignore him for now.
