Free agent PF Louis Amundson is not expected to re-sign with the Pelicans.
A poor man's Reggie Evans, Amundson averaged 2.4 points and 3.2 rebounds in 18 appearances with New Orleans this season. He's now played for eight different organizations since breaking into the league in 2006. Amundson will likely have to settle for another non-guaranteed contract in 2013-14. May 10 - 2:21 PM

Hornets sign F Louis Amundson for the rest of the season.

Amundson turned down a second 10-day contract with the Bulls to get some real minutes in New Orleans. The team will not renew the 10-day contract of Henry Sims.

Lou Amundson will sign with the Hornets for the rest of the season once his 10-day contract with the Bulls expires on Monday.

Amundson could have re-signed with the Bulls, but he hasn't cracked the rotation and might have a better chance at minutes in New Orleans now that Jason Smith (shoulder) is done for the season. He's not a fantasy option.
Mar 11 - 6:11 PM

Lou Amundson officially signed a 10-day contract with the Bulls and will be available against the Nets on Saturday night.

Amundson will provide decent depth with Taj Gibson (sprained MCL) sidelined. He averaged just 1.6 points and 2.4 rebounds while shooting 36.8 percent in eight minutes per game this season with the Timberwolves.

Mar 2 - 10:50 AM

The Bulls will sign Lou Amundson to a 10-day contract on Saturday.

With Taj Gibson sidelined due to a sprained MCL, the move makes sense. Amundson averaged a lousy 1.6 points and 2.4 rebounds on 36.8 percent shooting in eight minutes per game this season with Minnesota.
Mar 1 - 8:10 AM

The Bulls are in discussion with Louis Amundson about a contract and a decision is expected to be made on Friday.

The move makes a lot of sense since the Bulls lost Taj Gibson for two weeks with an MCL sprain. Amundson wouldn't likely get more than one 10-day contract, so he's not even close to being on the radar in almost any league.
Feb 28 - 11:57 PM

Free agent PF Louis Amundson says the Knicks, Bulls, Celtics and Heat are in the mix to sign him.

Amundson would provide any of those teams with decent depth up front, but his limited role and even more limited game makes him a non-factor in all fantasy formats regardless of where he signs.
Feb 28 - 2:14 PM

The Lakers, Knicks and Sixers have internally discussed adding free agent PF Louis Amundson.

Amundson has an extremely limited offensive game, but brings a big body and tons of energy to the table. The injury-ravaged Lakers have a roster spot open and could very well to Amundson if Earl Clark's foot MRI comes back bad.
Feb 12 - 5:40 PM

Timberwolves waived F Louis Amundson.

Amundson has been a non-factor all season and the team couldn't find an interested taker in a trade. He should get at least a couple of looks on the open market assuming he clears waivers.
Feb 8 - 12:12 PM

The Sixers and Knicks are reportedly interested in trading for Lou Amundson.

Amundson hasn't appeared in a game since January 25 and has yet to eclipse 23 minutes in any game this season. ESPN 1500 writes that the best the Timberwolves could get for him is a "heavily protected future second-round pick," and that sounds about right for the seldom-used backup big man.

Amundson will be ready for opening night, and he's projected to play minutes at both PF and C off the bench.

Lou Amundson missed Friday's game with back spasms.

He's not expected to have value coming off the Wolves bench when healthy.

Wolves sign PF Lou Amundson to a one-year deal worth the veteran's minimum.

Amundson will likely find backup minutes at both PF and C in Minnesota, especially since the Wolves aren't expected to keep Dante Cunningham on their regular season roster. The six-year NBA veteran has career averages of 4.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game.

The Wolves and Lou Amundson have agreed to terms on a guaranteed one-year contract worth the veteran's minimum.

Amundson brings veteran stability to Minnesota's frontcourt rotation, and he could help accelerate the development of PF Derrick Williams and C Greg Stiemsma. The Wolves have a nice balance of young guys and veterans, and are clearly hungry to end their playoff drought in 2012-13.

Unrestricted FA Louis Amundson is reportedly "closing in on a deal."

Amundson has drawn interest from a handful of NBA teams and has elicited some interest overseas as well. He's not on the fantasy radar at this time.
