Will Conroy is likely to remain with the Timberwolves until Ricky Rubio (knee surgery) is healthy.

Conroy is on a partially guaranteed deal, but he's worth keeping around at minimal cost with Rubio sidelined. The decision to keep him could look especially smart if Luke Ridnour continues to experience issues with his back.

Updating a previous item, Will Conroy has signed a partially guaranteed contract with the Timberwolves.

Conroy will be with his Minnesota teammates on Friday. Conroy has bounced around the league and has not been on an NBA roster since 2009. He's an extreme long shot to make the team as a third-string point guard.

Will Conroy tweeted that he "can't wait" to join Brandon Roy in Minnesota.

Conroy was alluding to the fact that he'll be brought into training camp on a partially guaranteed deal. He's got an uphill climb in order to make the final roster with the team's current depth at PG.

Rockets sign G Will Conroy, formally of the Rio Grand Valley Vipers, to a 10-day contract.

Conroy was with the Rockets in camp and is up while Jermaine Taylor takes his turn with the Vipers. Conroy will just be a practice body unless something happens to Aaron Brooks or Kyle Lowry.

Both players will compete for a roster spot during training camp, though neither is expected to make the team. The most likely non-guaranteed player to earn a spot is Pops Mensah-Bonsu, as the Rockets are primarily in the market for a big man.

The Clippers have invited Will Conroy to play for the summer league team.

Signed earlier this month, he's expected to have every opportunity to win a roster spot next fall. LA will need to add a legitimate PG with Shaun Livingston possibly missing the season and Sam Cassell proving undependable because of injuries, but Conroy has a chance to figure into the mix. If he's impressive this summer, Conroy will probably battle Jason Hart and Daniel Ewing for a back-up role.

The Clippers signed former Washington Huskies standout Will Conroy to a 10-day contract Tuesday.

With Shaun Livingston going down with a severe knee injury, Sam Cassell and Daniel Ewing were the only point guard options the team had. Ewing and Conroy aren't likely to have fantasy value, but Cassell should be owned in all leagues.
