The Jiangsu Dragons are reportedly looking for an injury replacement for Greg Oden (hand).

Oden is expected to miss three weeks and the Dragons are looking to add Will McDonald, according to David Pick. This news has no bearing on fantasy owners, but the injury won't help Oden's chances of returning to the NBA any time soon.

Greg Oden suffered a hand injury playing basketball in China and is expected to miss three weeks.

Well at least it isn't a leg injury. Oden should be back on the court soon in an attempt to revive his career.

Greg Oden passed his tryout period in China, and he will now officially sign a one-year, $1.2 million deal with the Jiangsu Dragons.

If things go well in China, there's a chance Oden can latch on with an NBA team once the Chinese Basketball season is over. However, he wouldn't be anything more than an emergency depth kind of guy, so even if he finds himself wearing an NBA jersey at some point, it'll be safe to ignore him in all fantasy leagues.

Greg Oden will play for the Jiangsu Dragons of the Chinese Basketball Association next season.

It would have been a nice story for Oden to get another chance in the NBA, but it just did not go well for him in his last effort. He did have some workouts with the Hornets and Mavs this summer, and apparently those two teams weren't even close. Hopefully he can stay healthy in China.

Greg Oden is set to have a one-week workout at the end of August with Jiangsu Kentier of the CBA.

Jiangsu Kentier will make a decision on Oden after his one-week workout, but this news would imply that he didn't receive any legitimate interest from the NBA squads he worked out for earlier this summer. Due to his troublesome knees, Oden can be forever ignored in fantasy leagues.

Greg Oden worked out for the Hornets on Wednesday and will visit the Mavericks this week, according to

He is also on the Grizzlies' radar. Oden wasn't very effective during his last chance with the Heat, but he's doing more training and conditioning. The seven-footer obviously has his work cut out for himself.

The Memphis Grizzlies may have interest in Greg Oden, and they could bring him to a free-agent camp in June.

Since pleading guilty to felony battery charges in December, Oden has been training with Ohio State's coaching staff and he has reportedly lost a lot of weight (down to 280 pounds in March). Oden was teammates with Mike Conley at Ohio State and the two are still close friends, so there could be some mutual interest between the two sides. The former No. 1 pick in the 2007 draft is as injury prone as they come, and he likely wouldn't be able to handle more than a limited role regardless of where he lands. We will track this story closely, but Oden isn't on the fantasy radar.

Greg Oden has been doing "high-level training" with Ohio State's coaching staff for the past six months, and his weight is reportedly down to 280 pounds.

"Quite honestly, I haven't seen Greg look this good since when he played for us back in the day at Ohio State," said coach Thad Matta. Oden pled guilty to felony battery charges in December and his sentencing included mandatory domestic violence counseling, alcoholics anonymous classes and over two years of probation, so it's good to hear that he's on a positive path. He may eventually attempt another NBA comeback but we're not holding our breath.

Greg Oden is attempting to get his life back on track after his August arrest on battery charges.

Oden is headed to trial on October 22 to face domestic battery charges, but a recent report on ESPN highlighted some of the demons that the 26-year-old has been dealing with. The article sheds light on Oden's issues with alcohol abuse as well as his battles with depression and shows that there are issues much bigger than basketball at play. If he lands with an NBA team, Oden would likely face a 10-game suspension, but this saga may be the end of the former No. 1 overall pick's NBA career.

Greg Oden is free to leave the state of Indiana while he awaits trial on battery charges as long as he remains on GPS monitoring, a judge ruled on Wednesday.

The Marion County Superior Court judge Steven Rubick entered a not guilty plea on behalf of Oden and scheduled the 26-year-old's trial for Oct. 22. Oden is charged with battery resulting in serious bodily injury and two misdemeanor battery counts after police were called to his home at 3:30 in the morning on August 7. Oden remains an unrestricted free agent, but this saga will likely put an end to his immediate comeback attempts.

Greg Oden is now facing a felony charge after reportedly punching his ex-girlfriend in the face.

Oden, 26, was charged in Marion Superior Court Monday with one count of battery resulting in serious bodily injury, a Level 5 felony, as well as misdemeanor charges of domestic battery and battery resulting in bodily injury. The felony carries a penalty of one to six years of jail time, and he will have his initial hearing on Tuesday. Oden, an unrestricted free agent, was reportedly going to have a meeting with the Clippers, but this news will likely derail any attempted return to the NBA. This will likely be how the former No. 1 overall pick ends his NBA career.

Greg Oden has been arrested on misdemeanor battery charges early Thursday morning.

According to reports, Oden was taken into custody in Lawrence, Indiana after allegedly punching a woman. While the unrestricted free agent had a visit scheduled with the Clippers, this news will likely push those plans to the back-burner. We'll update this situation as more information becomes available, but things aren't looking good for the former No. 1 overall pick.

The Los Angeles Clippers will host Greg Oden on a free agent visit this week.

The Greg Oden Experiment didn't exactly go as planned in Miami as the former No. 1 overall pick only averaged 2.9 points and 2.3 rebounds in 23 games with the Heat last season. He's still only 26 years old, but Oden isn't anything more than a backup center at this point in his career and should only be drafted in the very deepest of fantasy leagues for the 2014-15 season.

The Heat are still non-committal on bringing back Greg Oden.

"They said they’ll get back to us," Oden's agent Mike Conley Sr. said. "A couple of teams have inquired. He wants to be able to play." It's not going to be easy for Oden to get minutes after not being able to play for more than 15 minutes in any game last season.
