Josh McRoberts (foot) didn't play on Wednesday, as expected.
McRoberts hasn't played in a game since Dec. 23. He was available tonight as emergency depth, but he'll now have the entire offseason to get 100 percent healthy. McRoberts also has an interesting to decision to make -- he can accept a $6.0 million player option, or gamble in free agency after a disappointing, injury-plagued season. Apr 12 - 11:17 PM

Date:

Josh McRoberts is available to play against the Wizards on Wednesday.

It would be a surprise to see McRoberts play after missing every game in the 2017 portion of the season.
Apr 12 - 6:30 PM

Josh McRoberts (foot) is not being listed on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.

He might be available to play on Wednesday, but that doesn't mean he'll actually get out there. McRoberts hasn't played since December and belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Apr 11 - 4:32 PM

Josh McRoberts (foot) will not play on Monday vs. Cleveland.

McRoberts won't be returning in any meaningful capacity this season. Leave him on the wire.
Apr 10 - 6:07 PM

Josh McRoberts (foot) is questionable for Monday's game vs. the Cavaliers.

He's only played in 22 games this season, so we'd be a little surprised if he was in the rotation with Miami's season on the line. If he's available, he will just provide some emergency depth.
Apr 9 - 11:31 AM

Josh McRoberts (foot) went through his first full-contact practice on Tuesday, but he is currently not with the team on their three-game road trip and will not play Wednesday vs. Charlotte.

Head coach Erik Spoelstra left the door open for McRoberts to potentially return at some point this season, but considering he's only managed to suit up for a total of 22 games this year and hasn't played since December, he'll likely be brought along very slowly if he is able to get back out there. Leave him on the wire.
Apr 5 - 12:42 PM

Erik Spoelstra said that Josh McRoberts is making progress with the stress reaction in his left foot.

While McRoberts remains out indefinitely, the Heat have not officially ruled him out for the season, so perhaps he'll return to the court at some point. That being said, it's extremely unlikely that McRoberts will be an impact player in fantasy hoops this season, so he's safe to leave on the waiver wire in all settings.
Mar 15 - 12:56 PM

Josh McRoberts (stress reaction in left foot) is out indefinitely, according to coach Erik Spoelstra.

McRoberts' streak of bad injury luck continues. This injury is to the same foot he broke back in the 2016 postseason. McRoberts had started 14 straight games for Miami, but was largely ineffective, averaging just 6.4 points and 3.3 rebounds. Over his last seven games, he saw his playing time reduced and was averaging under 17 minutes per contest. He can now be waived in all fantasy leagues. Luke Babbit will likely replace him in the starting lineup.

Josh McRoberts scores four points on 2-of-2 shooting with two rebounds on Thursday night against the Lakers.

McRoberts was a non-factor in this game and did not play a role in the Heat’s 19-point comeback victory. Despite getting the start, he only played 15 minutes and has not logged more than 18 minutes in six consecutive games. Even with all the injuries on the Heat, McRoberts has not done much to warrant consideration in fantasy leagues.

Josh McRoberts started again on Monday and had seven points, eight rebounds, five assists and a 3-pointer in just 18 minutes in a 112-101 win over the Wizards.

McBob is averaging 6.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 0.8 3-pointers over his last five games, but is shooting just 33 percent over that stretch. He'll take a hit once Justise Winslow is back from his wrist injury, and James Johnson was back in action tonight, which means the arrow is pointing down on McBob. But as long as he's starting for the Heat, worth keeping an eye on in fantasy leagues.

Josh McRoberts made 3-of-12 from the field for six points with four rebounds, four assists and one turnover in 19 minutes against the Cavs on Friday.

He was firing away in the first quarter and kept the Heat in it early. McRoberts should have at least a couple more starts on his plate, so he may be a DFS punt of a deep stream for another week or so. The Heat only had eight players tonight.

Josh McRoberts had a typically quiet line on Wednesday with two points, four assists, two rebounds, one steal and five turnovers in 30 minutes.

James Johnson (shoulder), Justise Winslow (wrist) and Luke Babbitt (hip) were all out of commission tonight, all but guaranteeing McRoberts 30+ minutes as the starting PF. One glance at his season averages will convince you to leave him on the wire.
Wed, Dec 7, 2016 10:51:00 PM

Josh McRoberts scored seven points with season-highs in rebounds (nine) and assists (five) with one triple in 29 minutes on Tuesday vs. the Knicks.

He's now played 24 or more minutes in three straight games with the Heat down to just nine healthy bodies. He was just 2-of-6 from the field Tuesday and is basically just a facilitator in Miami's offense, but he could have some nice short-term value in deeper leagues until the Heat get some bodies back.
Tue, Dec 6, 2016 10:31:00 PM

Josh McRoberts scored a season-high 13 points with two rebounds, four assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday.

From inbounds specialist to main power forward. McRoberts could stick in the starting lineup until guys like Justise Winslow (wrist) can return. He could disappear very soon, but McBobs has some short-term value.
Sun, Dec 4, 2016 01:11:00 AM

Josh McRoberts started at PF for the Heat on Wednesday, finishing with one point, three rebounds, three assists, one block and one turnover in 16 minutes.

McRoberts missed all four of his shots and he was the only Heat player to post a negative plus-minus rating during tonight's road win. Miami is also likely to get some healthy players back in the near future, including Justise Winslow, so there's no reason to grab McBob in standard leagues.
