Morris Almond expressed uncertainty about his future with the Wizards.

Almond was signed in mid-April to provide depth down the stretch, but he's not worried about what he can't control. "I played hard when I was out there, and things will sort themselves out this summer, but like I said, I was just glad to be part of it at the end," he said. Almond is also expected to play for Washington's summer league team, where he'll get a chance to make his case for a roster spot next season.

Wizards will sign G/F Morris Almond.

Almond was a 2007 first-round pick of the Jazz that flamed out after just two seasons in the league. He'll provide depth on the wing with Roger Mason (finger) done for the season.

Morris Almond is expected to sign with Real Madrid this week.

Almond was a first-round pick in 2007 but has spent most of the intervening years toiling in the D-League. The pure scoring-guard could resurface on an NBA roster somewhere down the line.

Guard Morris Almond was waived by the Magic on Wednesday.

He'll be lucky to catch on with another club and could end up in Europe.

The Magic have added guard Morris Almond and forward Linton Johnson III to their training camp roster.

This doesn't mean they're on the team, but it does give them a shot at being signed if they perform well. It was thought that Almond was going to land with the Knicks, but it wasn't meant to be.

Morris Almond, who remains unsigned after being taken in the first round of the 2007 draft by the Jazz, scored 17 points for the Knicks in Tuesday's summer league game.

Almond hit 7-of-12 shots, was 3-of-6 from 3-point range and reminded many folks of a guy named Allan Houston. Almond isn't a guy you'll want to draft until the final round, if at all, in fantasy leagues. But he might become a hot waiver-wire pick up in Mike D'Antoni's offense this season. He's still not officially on the Knicks' roster, but appears to be headed in that direction.

The Knicks intend to sign shooting guard Morris Almond, as long as he performs well for their Summer League team.

This news further signals the likely departure of Nate Robinson to free agency, although nothing is set in stone. Almond still isn't likely to be worth a fantasy pick this fall, regardless of where he ends up.

The Knicks have added shooting guard Morris Almond to their Summer League roster.

Almond never really caught on with the Jazz, spending most of his time developing in the D-League. He's known as a terrific shooter with questionable defensive skills, and he could fit in nicely if he makes the Knicks next season.

The Jazz sent guard Morris Almond to the D-League on Saturday.

Almond, Utah's first-round pick in 2007, averaged 3.7 points in 10.2 minutes this season.

Morris Almond, who rarely plays for the Jazz, could start in place of injured small forward C.J. Miles on Saturday against the Pistons.

"I don't have a problem starting a guy that hasn't played," Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said, adding, "He's playing a lot harder here in practice, and that's one of the things he had to work on." Even if Almond starts it would make sense for guys like Kyle Korver, Andrei Kirilenko and Ronnie Brewer to see a slight boost if Miles is out.

Morris Almond started at shooting guard for the Jazz on Saturday, finishing with five points, five rebounds, two assists and three turnovers in 19 minutes.

Almond only started because Ronnie Brewer was attending a funeral. He won't have value once the Jazz are at full strength.

The Jazz have decided not to pick up G Morris Almond's option on his contract.

Almond hasn't really emerged as much of an NBA threat at this point and probably won't ever offer fantasy value.

The Jazz have to decide on Friday whether to match Oklahoma City's offer to C.J. Miles. If they do not match, Morris Almond will likely make the opening day roster.

Almond scored 51 points in a D-League game last season, and according to Jazz assistant Tyrone Corbin, "He has realized that there are other things to the game than scoring." Utah's trade of Jason Hart for Brevin Knight actually hurt Almond's chances of skipping the D-League, since it saved money and increased the odds of retaining Miles. No matter what happens, Almond is unlikely to be a fantasy resource this season.

The Jazz sent guard Morris Almond to the D-League on Monday.

No fantasy impacts here.
