Rajon Rondo asked the Kings to get a shooter, which led to signing Marco Belinelli.
A previous blurb cited some reports from a questionable outlet on matters regarding the Kings. After digging around with some sources, it's probably best for folks to take a lot of what they read with a grain of salt until reliable reporters weigh in. Jul 3 - 7:40 PM

The Kings and Marco Belinellli have agreed to a three-year, $19 million deal.

Well, Vivek Ranadive's money is still good. The Kings have whiffed on every noteworthy free agent until now, so Belinelli may actually have a chance to start -- that's unlikely and Ben McLemore is still the heavy favorite. Plus, the Kings desperately need 3-point shooting, so he is likely going to have a chance to score in double figures. He'll be a sneaky late-round specialist for 3-pointers.

Unrestricted free agent Marco Belinelli would reportedly like to return with the Spurs next season.

Belinelli has received interest from the Warriors and Hornets, but it looks like he'd still like to return to the team that he won a championship with in 2014. However, San Antonio may not have the room financially if they're able to land LaMarcus Aldridge via free agency, so that will be a determining factor in Belinelli's options. Marco won't be anything more than a backup wherever he lands, so he's not going to have any value in standard leagues next season.

The Warriors and Hornets are both said to be interested in unrestricted free agent Marco Belinelli.

Belinelli was actually drafted by the Warriors back in 2007, and he could be a nice fit as Klay Thompson's primary backup. However, the Hornets are expected to be aggressive in trying to lure Belinelli to Charlotte, and reportedly plan to offer a full mid-level exception for the Spurs' sharp shooter. Belinelli would be a backup at either location, so he can't be viewed as much more than a 3-point specialist in very deep leagues, regardless of where he winds up.

Marco Belinelli confirmed that he will play for Italy during this summer's EuroBasket tournament.

"The fact that the four Italian NBAers will play doesn’t mean that we will win for sure," said Belinelli, who will join Danilo Gallinari, Andre Bargnani and Luigi Datome on the squad. His participation in the tournament won't affect his plans in free agency, and he's already suggested that he may return to San Antonio.

Marco Belinelli said a return to the San Antonio Spurs is still possible.

After saying that there is a chance he'll re-sign with the Spurs when he becomes a free agent on July 1, Belinelli elaborated on his decision-making process. "As I’ve always said, San Antonio is a very strong team," he said. "An incredible organization. The best I’ve played for in the NBA. The free agency opens on July 1, we’ll see what happens. I think I will know my future the 1st or the 2nd week of July." We'll keep an eye on Bello's offseason movements, but a return to the Spurs seems the most likely scenario.

Jun 4 - 10:34 AM

Marco Belinelli scored 23 points against the Clippers on Thursday with two rebounds, one assist, one steal and seven 3-pointers.

He was on fire and played down the stretch as the Spurs tried to pull a comeback. Belinelli played 22 minutes tonight, which is up from 16 minutes in Game 5 and six minutes in Game 4. Assuming he doesn't shoot the ball this well again, Bello will likely play in the teens on Saturday.
May 1 - 12:30 AM

Marco Belinelli played only six minutes off the Spurs' bench in Sunday's Game 4 loss, scoring three points with two boards and one assist.

Gregg Popovich tightened his second-unit rotation with only three players logging more than six minutes -- Patty Mills (20), Manu Ginobili (22) and Boris Diaw (31). Belinelli scored proficiently in the series' first three games and he's a likely candidate to get more burn in L.A. on Tuesday.
Apr 26 - 7:49 PM

Marco Belinelli (groin) played on Friday against the Rockets, scoring five points on 2-of-4 shooting (including a three) with one rebound, one assist and two steals in 14 minutes.

Bello is going to be a hard guy to trust until he gives us a solid outing, but like a few of his teammates it's possible he gets some surprising run at some point.
Apr 11 - 1:39 AM

Marco Belinelli (groin) will not play against the Rockets on Wednesday.

He is dealing with a groin injury and it's unknown how much time he'll miss, but he's had this problem quite a bit this season. Expect to see more Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard.
Apr 8 - 7:26 PM

Marco Belinelli admitted that he's not sure what he'll do in free agency this summer.

In an interview translated from Italian, Belinelli said that he's 29, not too young and values his annual salary at this point in his career. He also added that he'd like to play for a team that competes as a high level, but most of that is just free-agent rhetoric. The most interesting thing here is that he didn't even mention the Spurs by name.

Apr 6 - 9:34 AM

Marco Belinelli took advantage of Manu Ginobili's absence on Sunday, coming off the bench for 13 points, two 3-pointers, five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 24 minutes.

His solid game was even more critical with both Patty Mills and Cory Joseph going scoreless in a combined 21 minutes off the Spurs' bench. Ginobili is day-to-day with a sprained ankle, which makes Belinelli a shaky option despite the Spurs' four-game schedule this week.
Mar 22 - 5:39 PM

Marco Belinelli hit 2-of-9 shots for 11 points and two 3-pointers in Wednesday's win.

He should see more opportunities with Manu Ginobili's ankle injury and has scored in double figures in three straight games. Unfortunately, his high in those is just 13 points.
Mar 19 - 12:22 AM

Marco Belinelli hit a game-winning jumper with 2.1 seconds left on Monday to beat the Pacers, finishing with 12 points, one rebound, four assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes.

The 18-foot shot gave coach Gregg Popovich his 1,000th NBA win as a head coach. Among the nine coaches with 1,000 wins, only Phil Jackson has a better winning percentage. As for Belinelli, he stepped up with Manu Ginobili resting, so he's not a great pickup in most leagues.
Feb 9 - 11:31 PM

Marco Belinelli returned after missing several games with a groin injury and had 11 points and three 3-pointers in 17 minutes on Wednesday.

As long as Manu Ginobili is healthy, Bello will be tough to start in most fantasy leagues.
