Marco Belinelli scored 20 points with three rebounds, three assists, three steals and four 3-pointers in 26 minutes against the Mavs on Wednesday.
He was on fire and was the MVP of this game for the Hawks to lead the second unit. He had more 3-point makes and attempts than the entire starting five combined, so maybe coach Mike Budenholzer has found his new Kyle Korver. Belinelli is going to have to bury treys to have fantasy value, but he's worth a look in 14-team leagues on a team dying for shooting. Oct 19 - 1:06 AM

Marco Belinelli (Achilles) is a go for Wednesday's season opener against the Mavericks.

Belinelli will help backup Kent Bazemore at the two-spot in Atlanta this season, but he won't have any fantasy value while the team is at full strength.
Oct 18 - 7:12 PM

Head coach Mike Budenholzer said that Marco Belinelli (Achilles) will likely be ready for the Hawks' season opener against the Mavs on Wednesday.

Belinelli didn't have any issues getting through Monday's scrimmage, so it sounds like he'll be out there on opening night. He won't have any fantasy value, though.
Oct 16 - 2:39 PM

Marco Belinelli (Achilles) was downgraded to doubtful to face the Mavs on Thursday.

He was listed as probable on Wednesday afternoon, so this isn't good news. With Belinelli now likely out, the Hawks should get an extended look at DeAndre Bembry off the bench. After a strong summer league from Bembry, he's a name to watch in deep leagues.
Oct 12 - 2:13 PM

Marco Belinelli is probable to play against the Mavs on Thursday.

He had some soreness in his Achilles, but he was expected to go through 5-on-5 on Wednesday. Presumably, it went well, so he should be out there as the backup to Kent Bazemore.
Oct 11 - 5:37 PM

Marco Belinelli (sore left Achilles) plans to go through a 5-on-5 scrimmage on Wednesday, and if all goes well, he'll take the court for Thursday's preseason finale vs. Dallas.

"I was good when I was here first days in Atlanta. Then I played a game against Miami [and] I think everything start from there," said Belinelli. "Or maybe [it’s] sore from the national team. I don’t know about that. I feel good right now. We’ll see. The important thing is to be ready for the season." Belinelli added that he'll "for sure" be ready for the regular-season opener, so we wouldn't read too much into this Achilles issue.
Oct 10 - 4:05 PM

Marco Belinelli will not play on Friday against the Pistons.

The backup shooting guard gets the night off here. With him and Kent Bazemore out, we should get a really good look at DeAndre Bembry tonight. We'll let you know how the second-year wing looks.
Oct 6 - 5:53 PM

Marco Belinelli scored a game-high 22 points to lead Italy to a 70-57 win over Finland on Saturday.

Belinelli was hot from long distance, knocking down five of the eight 3-pointers he attempted. He also added four rebounds and two assists. Italy will face the winner of the Serbia vs. Hungry matchup on Wednesday.
Sep 9 - 1:47 PM

The Hornets have traded Marco Belinelli and Miles Plumlee to the Hawks.

The Hornets will also send the 41st pick in exchange for the 31st pick and Dwight Howard. Belinelli is 31 and has just one year left on his deal for $6.6 million. He averaged 10.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.4 triples in 24.0 minutes per game for the Hornets last season, but it's hard to see him having a significant role in Atlanta unless they move on from restricted free agent Tim Hardaway Jr. this summer.
Jun 20 - 9:21 PM

Marco Belinelli (finger) will not suit up for Tuesday's regular-season finale against the Hawks.

There's just no reason for Belinelli to play hurt with Charlotte out of the playoff hunt. Jeremy Lamb will likely pick up most of his minutes tonight, and he might be worth streaming in deep leagues for those seeking some points with a trickle of triples and steals.
Apr 11 - 6:13 PM

Marco Belinelli (finger) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Bucks.

Belinelli might not play again this season with Charlotte officially out of the playoff hunt. Jeremy Lamb should pick up most of Belinelli's minutes, and he's someone to consider as a potential 3-point streamer.
Apr 10 - 6:52 PM

Marco Belinelli (left index finger) is questionable for Monday's game vs. the Bucks.

The Hornets have been eliminated from the postseason, so they may hold Belinelli out again so they can get an extended look at Jeremy Lamb. In addition to Lamb, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist would also get a slight bump if Belinelli can't go.
Apr 10 - 11:29 AM

Marco Belinelli (left index finger) will not play against the Celtics on Saturday.

He suffered the injury on Wednesday and was not able to return. Coach Steve Clifford said Jeremy Lamb and Treveon Graham should get his minutes, and clearly Lamb benefits the most as the top bench scorer now. Plus, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist also gets a bump because Belinelli is used frequently with the first unit.
Apr 8 - 4:24 PM

Marco Belinelli (left index finger) will not return to Wednesday's game against the Heat.

He suffered the injury in the first half and gets ruled out about 45 minutes after the injury. With Belinelli out, Jeremy Lamb should be picking up most of the slack and could be worth a look in deep leagues. Belinelli finished with just one rebound and one assist in eight minutes.
Apr 5 - 8:40 PM

Marco Belinelli suffered a left index finger strain and is questionable to return on Wednesday.

He went to the locker room and remained back there until halftime. If Belinelli can't return, it'll be Jeremy Lamb getting a bump in minutes along with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.
