Jared Dudley urged teammate Michael Beasley to listen to the coaching staff, saying, "I don't know why he would be tuning out the coaches."
The full quote is as follows: "I don't know why he would be tuning out the coaches because sometimes when he may be tired of people getting on him all the time, they're trying to stay on him to become a better basketball player," Dudley said. "I would say there's got to be a better balance," he added. Beasley is in the first year of a three-year, $18 million deal with the Suns. Apr 10 - 8:47 AM

Jared Dudley was the latest member of Suns players to express his displeasure of how the team is being handled with less than a month remaining in the regular season.

After Goran Dragic said he wasn't happy about not playing despite being healthy, Dudley is the latest veteran to back him in support. "I understand it because they want us to turn around as fast as possible," he said. "At the same time, I think the team with the worst record hasn't even won the No. 1 pick for a few years." P.J. Tucker said "it's a business" when asked for his thoughts on the issue. Clearly, we're not the only ones who think there are more questions than answers in the desert right now and it will be interesting to see how the Suns approach the offseason after committing $50 million to Dragic and Michael Beasley last year.
Mar 29 - 8:16 AM

Jared Dudley (illness) returned to action on Sunday, coming off the bench for six points and one rebound in 16 minutes.

Dudley isn't a fantasy asset as long as he's playing behind Wes Johnson (21 points, five 3-pointers) and P.J. Tucker (14 points, eight rebounds). The Suns have gone 1-5 in their past six games, tying them for the third-worst record in the NBA, so it seems doubtful that Dudley will see his role increase in the coming weeks.
Mar 25 - 12:41 AM

Jared Dudley (illness) returned to practice on Saturday and was a full participant.

He missed Friday's game with the flu and the Suns could have used Dudley after getting thumped 117-86 at home against the Timberwolves. The Suns rotation is a total mess and Goran Dragic is the only must-own player with Luis Scola next in line.
Mar 23 - 3:12 PM

Jared Dudley (flu) is doubtful to play on Friday.

Dudley tried to play through the flu against the Wizards on Wednesday, but he lasted just 8.5 minutes before coming out of the game. He's too inconsistent to be on the roster in the majority of formats, and his absence should open up some minutes for guys like Wes Johnson and Michael Beasley.
Mar 22 - 2:27 PM

Jared Dudley, who was iffy with the flu all day Wednesday, played just eight minutes and failed to score in an ugly loss to the Wizards.

Coach Lindsey Hunter got mad at "all the young guys" on his team tonight so it's tough to tell if Dudley's benching was due to his illness or his age. Either way, he's been too inconsistent lately to be fully relied upon in fantasy leagues.
Mar 21 - 3:03 AM

Jared Dudley (illness) will play against the Wizards on Wednesday.

He received an IV and since he's been sick all day, the Suns are probably going to take it easy on him. P.J. Tucker and perhaps Marcus Morris could get some more playing time.
Mar 20 - 10:00 PM

Lindsey Hunter is not sure of Jared Dudley's (illness) status for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.

He has been battling the flu all day and with the Suns mixing and matching their way on the wing, Dudley is probably going to sit this one out. He is coming on and is back in the radar in some deeper leagues, so some owners may miss not having him. P.J. Tucker will start.
Mar 20 - 8:55 PM

Jared Dudley shot 5-of-8 from the field for 13 points with six boards, one assist, two steals and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes against the Lakers.

It's his second good game in a row coming off a 16-point game on Saturday. Dudley does have some upside with the way he can take some triples and he could get some more minutes with Marcus Morris moving out of the rotation. He's only worth a look in deeper leagues.
Mar 19 - 1:49 AM

Jared Dudley played just 19 minutes and hit 2-of-5 shots and a 3-pointer for five points, zero rebounds and one assist on Wednesday.

This game was over early as the Suns were blown out, and Dudley wasn't the only player to disappear. Marcus Morris (5 points, 0 rebounds), Markieff Morris (4 points, 5 rebounds) and Luis Scola (4 points, 4 rebounds) were all just as bad tonight, as the Rockets won 111-81. Dudley, the Morris boys and Scola all still have a chance at some value the rest of the way, and Dudley had 12 points and three 3-pointers on Monday, and 22 points and a full stat line on Saturday.
Mar 14 - 12:49 AM

Jared Dudley scored 12 points and hit three treys in 21 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Nuggets.

Dudley hit 4-of-9 shots but managed just two rebounds, two assists and a steal in a less than inspiring effort, but it works if you recently made an add. It's probably going to be a bumpy ride for everybody in Phoenix, but Dudley profiles as a guy that should be on the right side of the playing time equation. We'll see if that pans out.
Mar 12 - 1:04 AM

Jared Dudley had 22 points, three 3-pointers, seven assists and two steals to lead the Suns in a surprise win vs. the Rockets on Saturday.

Dudley has been extremely quiet over the past five games, averaging 6.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists, so it's doubtful that he was in many fantasy lineups. It's also doubtful that he'll replicate this line in the near future, as he's only scored 20+ points twice in the past 10 weeks. The Suns have three games this week, so deploy him at your own peril.
Mar 10 - 12:27 AM

Jared Dudley played just 19 minutes and had nine points, four assists, two steals and a 3-pointer in Wednesday's ugly loss to the Raptors.

Dudley has been far too inconsistent to be used on a regular basis in fantasy, but he wasn't the only Sun to stink up the joint tonight. The team saw 11 of the 12 guys who played commit at least one turnover for a season-high 39 of them, which is also a U.S. Airways record, while bench player Marcus Morris was the only Sun to hit double figures in scoring with 12 points. The Suns had somehow won three straight games coming into this one, but will have to go back to the drawing board.
Mar 7 - 1:10 AM

Jared Dudley hit 1-of-6 shots for two points and not much else in 25 minutes on Tuesday.

Dudley is slumping again, scoring 2, 9 and 7 points in each of his last three games, hitting 7-of-19 shots over that stretch, despite starting. He'll get hot again as long as he keeps the starting job, but his inconsistency over the course of the season has been highly frustrating, and the Suns are a dysfunctional mess, with different guys stepping up every night. Start him at your own risk, and consider dropping him if you've got your eye on a hot free agent.
Feb 27 - 12:33 AM

Jared Dudley scored seven points on 3-of-6 shooting with two rebounds, seven assists and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes on Friday.

Dudley did well to salvage his night with the assists and he has been back on the radar lately. With the Suns being all over the board, his future is uncertain but he's worth a look for the hope he can get on track.
