Jared Dudley has reportedly picked up his player option to remain with the Bucks next season for $4.25 million.
This was a pretty easy decision for Dudley as it was unlikely he could have secured such a deal on the open market. He averaged just 7.2 points, 1.0 steal and 1.0 three-pointer per game last season, and he'll be in a reserve role with the Bucks next year. It'll take more than a few injuries for him to emerge as a viable asset in standard leagues. Jun 30 - 6:00 PM

Jared Dudley wants to return to the Bucks next season.

Dudley has a player option for $4.25 million that he has to decide on by the end of June, and it's hard to imagine him drawing a comparable salary if he declines and hits free agency. It's more likely that Dudley exercises his option and hits free agency during the 2016 offseason.

Jared Dudley proclaimed during an appearance on an ESPN radio show on Tuesday that "most guys don't want to play with Kobe [Bryant]."

"He wants to show everyone so much," Dudley said. "We love you Kobe. But come on, it’s like, it’s now time to start giving up. Most guys don’t want to play with Kobe. Kobe gets in this thing where he doesn’t pass and then he over-passes and he’s trying to get triple-doubles every night. You have [the ability to pass]. It’s just not something he wants to do. And that’s why I think it’ll be a while before the Lakers can get good."

Jared Dudley apologized for saying Carmelo Anthony is the most overrated player in the NBA.

After saying Anthony has failed to take his team past the second round in the playoffs, Dudley quickly backtracked from his comments. "I shouldn’t have said that that was my fault for saying that because it’s not the truth," Dudley said on Wednesday. "I apologize for saying that about Carmelo." While Dudley has apologized, the first Knicks-Bucks matchup of the 2015-16 season will be an interesting one.

Jared Dudley said Carmelo Anthony is the most overrated player in the NBA.

"He’s gotta get out of the first, second rounds," Dudley said. "He’s gotta get his teams to the playoffs. LeBron with that roster, LeBron would’ve gotten them to the playoffs." This one will be going on the bulletin board when Melo takes on Dudley next season.

Jared Dudley said that there was an 80-90 percent chance he comes back with the Bucks next season, even if he decides to opt out of his contract.

Dudley has a player option worth $4.25 million for the 2015-16 season, but it sounds like he'll be back in Milwaukee regardless of whether he opts out of his contract. Dudley said that he enjoys helping the younger guys on the roster, and he'd like to come back and continue building what they started this season. However, for fantasy purposes, Dudley will be a non-option in most leagues after averaging a meager 7.2 points, 1.0 steal and 1.0 three-pointer per game through the 2014-15 season.
May 1 - 2:03 PM

Jared Dudley played 29 minutes off the bench during a 92-90 Game 4 victory over the Bulls on Saturday, scoring 13 points with two rebounds, five assists, two steals, one block and three 3-pointers.

Jared hit Jerryd Bayless for a backdoor layup on an inbounds pass to get the Bucks a buzzer-beater to win it. It was a slightly dangerous pass, but Dudley deserves a lot of credit for executing it perfectly. The Bucks second unit was great with 47 points, which was more than the starters' 45. The Bucks also capitalized on the Bulls' 28 turnovers with 39 points off those mistakes. As for Dudley's extra playing time, he earned his minutes from Ersan Ilyasova, who scored just nine points on 3-of-11 from the field in 17 minutes. Both could wind up being around 24 minutes in Game 5 on Monday.
Apr 25 - 9:28 PM

Jared Dudley is dealing with some foot soreness and will play against the Bulls in Game 3 on Thursday.

He's dealt with knee and back issues since the All-Star break and this foot issue has bothered him since Game 1. Dudley played 14.5 minutes per game in the first two games of the playoffs, making a combined 2-of-8 from the field. He'll likely be around that amount of playing time again.
Apr 22 - 4:52 PM

Jared Dudley will play against the Bulls on Monday.

He was listed as probable, but coach Jason Kidd said he can play. Kidd also said rebounding was very important today, so maybe the Bucks won't go with a lineup of Michael Carter-Williams, Jerryd Bayless and O.J. Mayo. Dudley has very little fantasy value.

Apr 20 - 7:12 PM

Jared Dudley (back) will play on Saturday vs. the Bulls.

The Bucks rested him for the final two games of the season, so he should be fresh for the playoffs. Dudley is a seasoned veteran, and his experience will be a huge boost for the young Bucks. Expect Dudley to see minutes in the mid 20s tonight.
Apr 18 - 11:46 AM

Jared Dudley (back), and Jerryd Bayless (neck) practiced on Thursday.

Dudley missed the final two games of the regular-season with a sore back, while Bayless missed the regular-season finale with a sore neck. Neither of these injuries sounds serious, so these guys should be ready for Game 1 against the Bulls on Saturday. That being said, both players will likely have their minutes trimmed down a bit for the postseason, and they're unlikely to do much on the stat sheet with the guys ahead of them in the rotation fully healthy.
Apr 16 - 5:27 PM

Jared Dudley sat out for a second straight game due to a sore back in Wednesday's finale against the Celtics.

However, he's expected to be ready to go for the Bucks in the playoffs, which start Saturday against the Bulls.
Apr 16 - 12:40 AM

Jared Dudley will rest against the Celtics on Wednesday.

There could be more rested players on the way for the Bucks. Plus, the Bucks will likely limit some of their guys.
Apr 15 - 6:22 PM

Jared Dudley went scoreless in 28 minutes off Milwaukee's bench on Sunday, and Jason Kidd said after the game that Dudley will likely rest on Monday and Wednesday.

He's been struggling with back and knee issues lately, which helps to explain his 0-of-4 shooting on Sunday, and it makes sense for the Bucks to rest him with the No. 6 seed locked up. His absence should open up more minutes for Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and even O.J. Mayo.
Apr 12 - 5:49 PM

Jared Dudley will start for the Bucks against the Cavs on Wednesday.

Interesting. Coach Jason Kidd just said he's looking for a change. Maybe he doesn't want to start Giannis Antetokounmpo against LeBron James or maybe it's something else. Regardless, Dudley is not a reliable option in fantasy leagues tonight.
