Wilson Chandler (groin) returned to the starting lineup on Wednesday, making 8-of-14 shots to score 18 points with one 3-pointer, five boards, three assists and one steal.
Chandler had missed the past four games, but he sure didn't appear rusty while playing a game-high 41 minutes tonight. He was slumping offensively prior to the injury, and it looks like the extended rest could lead to renewed efficiency over Denver's final 11 games. Make sure he's not floating on your waiver wire. Date:

Wilson Chandler (groin) will play against the Cavs on Wednesday.

He needed almost two weeks to recover from a groin contusion. Chandler has dealt with a lot of groin injuries in his career, so the Nuggets could ease him back into his role. It'll be interesting to see where he fits in with coach Mike Malone liking the Mason Plumlee starting lineup. Chandler is worth owning, but his upside is capped. Kenneth Faried may also lose minutes.
Mar 22 - 7:25 PM

Wilson Chandler (groin) was able to participate in shootaround on Wednesday and is expected to play Wednesday night vs. the Cavs.

Chandler had missed four straight games. If Chandler does play, he will eat into the minutes of Juan Hernangomez, Kenneth Faried, Mason Plumlee and Will Barton. Darrell Arthur (knee) is also expected to return on Wednesday.

Wilson Chandler (groin) is questionable to play Wednesday vs. Cleveland.

Chandler has missed the past four games, but he said on Monday that he was shooting to return on Wednesday night. Owners can expect to get another update following Wednesday morning's shootaround, but if Chandler is able to return to action, there will be less opportunity for guys like Juan Hernangomez, Kenneth Faried and Mason Plumlee. Jamal Murray's usage could also suffer a slight hit with Chandler active.

Wilson Chandler (groin) and Danilo Gallinari (knee) will not play on Monday vs. the Rockets.

This is his fourth game in a row on the shelf, but both Chandler and Gallo are hoping to return on Wednesday vs. the Cavaliers. If he is able to play vs. the Cavs, that means his owners would still get him for three games. To be clear, he's still a very risky start in weekly formats. Will Barton, Juancho Hernangomez and Jamal Murray will continue to get a bump in value until Chandler and Gallo are able to return.

Wilson Chandler (groin) is questionable for Monday against the Rockets.

Due to some contact to his groin last Saturday, Chandler has missed his last three games. On Thursday, coach Mike Malone said he didn't know how much time Chandler would miss, so this is a good sign. Still, there is a chance he could miss time considering how many groin injuries he's had in his career. If he's back, this will likely take minutes from Kenneth Faried and perhaps the Nuggets won't go with as much Mason Plumlee at the four.
Mar 19 - 2:09 PM

Wilson Chandler (groin) will not be available for Saturday's game vs. Houston.

The Nuggets haven't really missed Chandler too much these days thanks to their success with the Mason Plumlee and Nikola Jokic lineups. Besides Plumlee, Juancho Hernangomez should benefit, and he did score nine points with five boards, one steal and one trey in 26 minutes on Thursday. Kenneth Faried should also get minutes. Plumlee is probably the only one worth owning in standard leagues.
Mar 17 - 3:21 PM

Coach Mike Malone said Wilson Chandler (groin) doesn't have a definitive timetable.

There's a chance Chandler can make it back over the weekend, but he still isn't practicing yet. Chandler's fantasy owners will have to weigh if they want to keep him stashed, especially with the fantasy playoffs starting in several leagues. While he's out, Kenneth Faried, Mason Plumlee and Juan Hernangomez should pick up the minutes at the four.
Mar 16 - 7:58 PM

Wilson Chandler (right groin contusion) and Danilo Gallinari (left knee bone bruise) will not play against the Clippers on Thursday.

This Saturday groin injury will keep him out for at least a week with the Nuggets not playing again until Mar. 18. Chandler was able to return from this injury during that game, but it's become worse over time. He should be considered questionable for Saturday. While he's out, expect more run for Mason Plumlee, Will Barton, Juancho Hernangomez and more shots for the wings.
Mar 15 - 3:23 PM

Wilson Chandler (groin) will not practice on Wednesday.

Coach Mike Malone said he wasn't sure if Chandler could play, but he's likely going to be questionable. We should have an update on Chandler tomorrow, but the Nuggets may opt to be careful given his history with groin injuries in his career. If he's out again, Juan Hernangomez, Mason Plumlee and maybe even Kenneth Faried (back) can step up.
Mar 15 - 3:02 PM

Wilson Chandler (right groin strain) will not play on Monday vs. the Lakers.

He took a shot to the groin during Saturday's game and went down in noticeable pain, and while he did initially play through the injury, it later flared up on him. This is a game the Nuggets should be able to win without Chandler, so hopefully they're just erring on the side of caution. Chandler has been on fire, so most fantasy owners should sit tight and wait for an update. Juan Hernangomez will likely start and should get a nice bump, and Chandler's absence might help Will Barton get it going offensively.
Mar 13 - 8:40 PM

Wilson Chandler (right groin strain) and Jameer Nelson (right hip flexor strain) are being listed as questionable for Monday's matchup with the Lakers.

Chandler briefly exited Saturday's game after taking a shot to his groin, and while he played through it, it appears the injury flared up on him on his flight from Sacramento to Los Angeles. Owners can expect to get another update following Monday morning's shootaround, but if both him and Nelson are forced to the sidelines, that would open up minutes for guys like Will Barton, Juan Hernangomez, Emmanuel Mudiay and Jamal Murray. Stay tuned.

Wilson Chandler made 3-of-13 from the field for six points with four rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes against the Kings on Saturday.

He did take a shot to the groin and was able to return. Chandler had his three-game streak with over 20 points snapped in this game, but he's had plenty of duds before -- he had a 1-of-8 from the field prior to that streak. Chandler is a must-start player while healthy.
Mar 12 - 3:50 AM

Wilson Chandler scored 23 points on 8-of-16 shooting vs. the Celtics on Friday.

He led all players in scoring and grabbed eight rebounds with one assist, one steal, one block and three triples in 34 minutes. Chandler is getting consistent minutes these days and is on an absolute tear with averages of 29.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.7 steals and 3.0 triples over his last three games. He obviously won't be this hot going forward, but he could be a must-start player the rest of the way if the Nuggets can hold onto the No. 8 seed or stay within striking distance of it.
Mar 11 - 1:06 AM

Wilson Chandler scored 21 points with four rebounds, three assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes against the Wizards on Wednesday.

He has his desired consistent role and has stepped it up since the break. Yes, the 36-point Monday helps, but Chandler came in averaging 18.7 points, 6.6 boards, 2.3 assists, 0.3 blocks, 0.6 steals and 2.3 treys in his previous seven games since the break. He should increase those averages until Danilo Gallinari (illness) is back.
