Coach Mike Malone said Wilson Chandler and Will Barton are "more than ready" to pick up minutes at small forward.
Chandler played mostly four last year, so that may change with Paul Millsap in the mix. Malone did say it would be by committee to replace Danilo Gallinari's playing time, so it won't just be on Chandler. Malone added other guys will step up, so it's still possible Juancho Hernangomez gets in the mix to help out. Another interesting takeaway is Barton playing more three, which could open up minutes for Malik Beasley. Basically, the Nuggets are really deep 2-5. Jul 8 - 12:56 PM

Wilson Chandler was a healthy scratch on Wednesday in the season finale vs. the Thunder.

The Nuggets had nothing to play for, so Chandler missed his 11th game of the season. The 29-year-old wing is owed $12 million in 2017-18 and has a player option for 2018-19 worth $12.8 million, and with Danilo Gallinari expected to opt out and hit free agency this summer, Chandler could be looking at another 30-minute role next season. He finished the 2016-17 campaign with averages of 15.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.5 triples on 46.1 percent shooting.
Apr 13 - 9:51 AM

Wilson Chandler will not play vs. OKC on Wednesday.

Mike Malone already said that Chandler would "probably" be rested, so this is the least surprising news of the night. Juan Hernangomez is slated for heavy minutes as a starter.
Apr 12 - 7:28 PM

Wilson Chandler will "probably" rest against the Thunder on Wednesday according to coach Michael Malone.

Fantasy owners should "probably" remove him from all lineups, as the Nuggets have nothing left to play for. With Danilo Gallinari also resting, Juancho Hernangomez looks like a sneaky punt play in DFS.
Apr 12 - 6:44 PM

Wilson Chandler logged a game-high 42 minutes during Sunday's home loss vs. the Thunder, scoring 17 points and grabbing 10 rebounds with two assists and one block.

Kenneth Faried (back) was out tonight, which helped inflate Chandler's playing time. He made the most of his offensive chances, going 6-of-11 from the field with a 5-of-10 mark from downtown, and he committed just one turnover. The biggest threat to his value over the final two games is that Denver can't make the playoffs, which could inspire coach Mike Malone to unleash his young guys.
Apr 9 - 7:54 PM

Wilson Chandler will return to the starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Thunder.

This was the expected move with Kenneth Faried (back) out, and Will Barton (foot) getting back to the court to operate as the sixth man in the second unit. Joining Chandler in the starting five tonight will be Jamal Murray, Gary Harris, Danilo Gallinari and Nikola Jokic.

Wilson Chandler scored seven points with seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes against the Pelicans on Friday.

He was questionable for this one after missing shootaround due to migraines. Chandler did suffer a leg injury in the second half, but he was able to play through it. He's off on Saturday before a big game against the Thunder on Sunday. For now consider him probable and he's probably going to be on the injury report, too.
Apr 8 - 1:09 AM

Wilson Chandler (illness) will come off the bench on Friday night against the Pelicans.

It's a huge game that the Nuggets have to have, so Chandler will play through his migraine from shootaround. If he is limited at all, basically the entire rotation would have to pick up the slack. His fantasy owners should have him in their lineups for season-long leagues.
Apr 7 - 7:24 PM

Wilson Chandler (illness) is listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. New Orleans.

This is only an injury report designation, so we'll take it with a grain of salt. Unfortunately, we will likely have to wait until later this evening to get a reliable update from coach Mike Malone or the team. If Chandler is ruled out, Kenneth Faried, Gary Harris, Danilo Gallinari and Juan Hernangomez could see an uptick in minutes.
Apr 7 - 1:45 PM

Wilson Chandler led Denver's second unit on Sunday with 19 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one 3-pointer.

Will Barton (left foot soreness) was out for the second straight game, which opened things up nicely for Chandler. He shot 8-of-13 from the field and made both of his free throws, without committing a turnover in 31 minutes, resulting in a terrific all-around game in any fantasy format.
Apr 2 - 9:56 PM

Wilson Chandler came off the bench on Friday vs. the Hornets and only scored five points in 20 minutes.

Will Barton (foot) was out, so the Nuggets moved Chandler to the bench to bolster the second unit. He finished just 2-of-8 from the field with one rebound, one assist and one triple, but with Kenneth Faried (18 points, 13 rebounds) playing out of his mind, coach Michael Malone stuck with the Manimal tonight. Chandler will look to bounce back on Sunday vs. the Heat, but his fantasy owners may be tempted to look elsewhere if he comes off the bench again.
Mar 31 - 10:24 PM

Wilson Chandler is coming off the bench on Friday against the Hornets.

This move is all about Will Barton (foot) not playing today, so adding Chandler to the second unit as a go-to scorer makes a lot of sense. This move does also tip the hand that Chandler should play some more small forward a bit, so that may not be good news for guys like Jamal Murray on the wing. Start Chandler like you normally would.
Mar 31 - 6:22 PM

Wilson Chandler finished with just four points, two rebounds and two assists in Sunday's 115-90 loss against the Pelicans.

It was an uninspiring performance from Chandler, who entered averaging 18.4 points per game in the month of March. Occasionally he has a night where he completely disappears, but he has bounced back strong in the past. He'll get a chance to make amends in Portland on Tuesday. He is averaging 15.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in three meetings against the Blazers this season.
Mar 26 - 11:01 PM

Wilson Chandler scored 24 points with four rebounds, two assists, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Pacers on Friday.

After the game, Chandler said he felt pretty good and sounded healthy. He said his groin contusion wasn't too serious and he was just getting treatment. He also said he had an acupuncture guy and spent "countless hours" with him. Chandler doesn't look like he'll be leaving many holes in the scoring department going forward, so keep him going.
Mar 25 - 12:32 AM

Wilson Chandler (groin) returned to the starting lineup on Wednesday, making 8-of-14 shots to score 18 points with one 3-pointer, five boards, three assists and one steal.

Chandler had missed the past four games, but he sure didn't appear rusty while playing a game-high 41 minutes tonight. He was slumping offensively prior to the injury, and it looks like the extended rest could lead to renewed efficiency over Denver's final 11 games. Make sure he's not floating on your waiver wire.
