Blazers sign G/F Coby Karl to a non-guaranteed contract.
Karl, like most training camp invites, will be viewed as a long shot to make the final roster. He averaged 8.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists in summer league. The Blazers have also inked Adam Morrison, Demonte Harper and Dallas Lauderdale for training camp. Mon, Oct 1, 2012 09:58:00 AM

Coby Karl has agreed to a one-year contract with CB Granada of the Spanish ACB.

Karl still hopes to make it back to the NBA one day, but the odds may not be in his favor to do so.

The Nuggets could re-sign guard Coby Karl once he clears waivers on Tuesday, even though they are the team that waived him.

The crux is that Karl would probably sign a partially guaranteed deal, as opposed to the fully-guaranteed deal he would have had. He is in position to become the first player in NBA history to play for a team coached by his father (George Karl).

The Nuggets have requested waivers on Coby Karl (the son of coach George Karl) and rookie Brian Butch, whose contracts would have become fully guaranteed on August 15th.

Neither player was likely to crack the rotation, and Denver (already over the luxury tax) is slicing their roster to the bone. They currently have 12 players with guaranteed contracts, one below the league minimum.

Coby Karl, son of Nuggets coach George Karl, is working out for the Nuggets and is expected to be signed by the team for the rest of the season.

He probably won't get much run, but it would mark the first time in NBA history a father coached his son.

The Warriors have decided not to sign guard Coby Karl to another 10-day contract.

In a few days, Karl went from being a starter to being off the team, but such is life for a D-League callup.

Coby Karl started against the Thunder on Saturday and finished with 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting (1-of-6 from downtown) with two rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes.

With Nellie "in love" with Karl (according to beat writer Marcus Thompson) it's possible he delivers some early Valentine's Day presents to his owners. But don't be surprised if all you're left with is a pair of beer goggles and a fantasy loss.

Beat writer Marcus Thompson says that coach Don Nelson "is in love" with recent D-League callup Coby Karl.

The Warriors have a roster decision to make on Saturday as Anthony Tolliver's 10-day contract is up. They could go with Tolliver and Karl, but then would have to release Chris Hunter. We'll see how it shakes out, but we're leaving Karl on waivers for now. His minutes will be wildly inconsistent, even for a Nelson player.

Coby Karl, who flirted with a surprising triple-double on Tuesday, was scoreless in 16 minutes of Wednesday's loss to the Mavericks.

So much for that. He did have six rebounds and one assist, but played just 16 minutes. He's worth keeping an eye on in extremely deep leagues, but we're not expecting much from him going forward.

Coby Karl came out of nowhere in Tuesday's blowout loss to score 12 points on 5-of-13 shooting (including a three) with seven rebounds, seven assists, and a steal in 37 minutes.

We don't fully know what to make out of this line, other than the fact that he's playing for his NBA life and impressed Nellie with his hustle. He even saw time over Stephen Curry tonight, which generated its fair share of buzz. Don't go crazy, but if you're desperate and in a deeper league he's worth a look.

Coby Karl was signed on Sunday and played 24 minutes right away for the Warriors, and scored six points on 2-of-4 shooting with one rebound, six assists, two steals, and a block.

Karl landed in the only place that he could conceivably have fantasy value, and we're not saying you should go out and grab him, but we wouldn't be surprised if he posts a serviceable line in the next few games -- which speaks to the ridiculous state of affairs in Golden State.

Warriors signed G Coby Karl, formally of the Idaho Stampede.

Because of the rules surrounding injury exemptions, the Warriors were forced to dump Cartier Martin, and opted for Karl, who has landed in the only place in the universe where he could possibly have fantasy value. We're still skeptical, but like any warm body would be, he's worth keeping an eye on in Golden State.

The Idaho Stampede of the D-League have acquired G Coby Karl.

George Karl's son was just cut by the Cavs on Jan. 6. He has had a previous stint with the Stampede and is unlikely to ever crack an NBA rotation.
Fri, Jan 15, 2010 02:30:00 PM

The Cavs have waived guard Coby Karl.

With Karl waived, Jawad Williams, Darnell Jackson and Danny Green all saw their contracts guaranteed for the season, though none are likely to make a fantasy impact in 2009-10.
Wed, Jan 6, 2010 06:16:00 PM

Coby Karl looks likely to be waived by the Cavaliers on Wednesday according to team beat writer Brian Windhorst.

Karl had zero value in fantasy so not much shock here.
