Aaron Brooks scored 13 points on 6-of-10 from the field with 10 assists against the Hornets in 33 minutes on Monday.
Derrick Rose (knee) is getting closer to a return and could get a full practice in as soon as this week. This will likely be Brooks' last week at turning in noteworthy fantasy value in standard leagues, so his owners should be keeping their options open and might want to drop him for a hot free agent in the coming days. Aaron Brooks scored 19 points with three rebounds, five assists, one block and three 3-pointers in 37 minutes against the Pistons on Saturday.

He made 6-of-12 from the field for one of his most efficient games since the break. In his previous 16 outings, Brooks averaged just 13.2 points, 2.2 boards, 3.9 assists, 0.4 steals and 1.2 treys on 36.7 percent from the field. He should have at least until the end of the month to put up stats with Derrick Rose (knee) on the mend.
Mar 21 - 10:32 PM

Aaron Brooks scored 11 points on 5-of-14 shooting Sunday, adding three assists, one rebound and three turnovers.

A regression to the mean should have been expected for Brooks after he shot a combined 21-of-37 from the field (56.8 percent) over his last two outings, especially considering he had to matchup with Russell Westbrook. Still, Brooks is deserving of ownership in all standard leagues as the starting point guard for Chicago with averages of 15.3 points, 4.3 assists, and 1.5 three-pointers per game with the first unit.
Mar 15 - 5:34 PM

Aaron Brooks scored a game-high 24 points against the Hornets on Friday with two rebounds, four assists and one 3-pointer.

The Hornets have been giving up some big lines to point guards these days, but at least Brooks didn't disappoint. After a miserable four-point game on Mar. 6, Brooks averaged 23.0 points per game with 2.0 treys in his last four. He should be owned in all standard leagues.
Mar 13 - 9:57 PM

Aaron Brooks hit 12-of-20 shots and three 3-pointers for a season-high 31 points, four rebounds and five assists in Wednesday's win over the Sixers.

Brooks is finally hot for the Bulls, averaging 15.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and a 3-pointer per game over his last five. His scoring has been much better over his last three games (between 15-31 points), and he's finally living up to the hype. Start him with confidence.
Mar 11 - 11:33 PM

Aaron Brooks scored 15 points on 6-of-14 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds, four assists and one steal in Monday's loss.

This is probably a good approximation of what Brooks will return to owners while Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler are out.
Mar 10 - 12:07 AM

Aaron Brooks finally got his shot to fall during Sunday's loss to the Spurs, putting up 22 points on 7-of-12 shooting (7-of-8 from the stripe), with one 3-pointer, two rebounds, three assists and three turnovers over 26 minutes of action.

This was the first time that Brooks hit at least 50 percent of his shot attempts since February 10, which tells you the kind of month he's been having. Despite Brooks' recent struggles, he's locked in as the starting point guard for the Bulls, and with Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler out, he is going to have plenty of opportunities on offense. He's worth owning in standard leagues.
Mar 8 - 5:25 PM

Aaron Brooks continued to struggle in Friday's loss, hitting just 2-of-11 shots for four points, one rebound, two assists and one block in 24 minutes of action.

Brooks isn't known for his defense, so if he's not hitting his shots there's a decent chance his minutes will go elsewhere. He has hit just 28.2 percent of his shots on 10.9 attempts per game for an astounding 13 games. Not only is he in a position to do damage as the starter, but the upcoming bounce-back shooting the ball will likely make him the owner of some very good stat lines. Hold on and give him strong consideration in your lineup.
Mar 6 - 11:32 PM

Aaron Brooks made just 2-of-8 from the field against the Thunder on Thursday for six points with three rebounds and seven assists in 24 minutes.

He attempted a whopping 23 shots in Tuesday and has at least 15 shots from the field in each of his last three games. Brooks lost a decent chunk of playing time because of the E'twaun Moore Show, but it's unclear if that show will get another episode after its pilot tonight. Brooks is still worth owning in standard leagues and gets a better matchup against the Pacers on Friday.
Mar 5 - 11:31 PM

Aaron Brooks finally got going vs. the Wizards on Tuesday, scoring 22 points with a pair of 3-pointers, two rebounds, eight assists and one steal.

Tony Snell joined the starting lineup tonight in Chicago's 20th different starting five of the season, their most since the 2007-08 season, but the resilient Bulls still pulled out a victory without Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler or Taj Gibson. Brooks was inefficient tonight, shooting 8-of-23 from the field, but he's a worthwhile gamble if you're in need of PG production.
Mar 3 - 11:19 PM

Aaron Brookes scored 14 points on 5-of-17 shooting during Sunday's loss to the Clippers, adding two 3-pointers, one rebound, three assists and two turnovers through 31 minutes of action.

Brooks hasn't done much since entering the starting lineup, averaging just 10.0 points, 3.7 assists and 1.7 three-pointers per game. The minutes are there, but the production hasn't come around yet. He's still worth holding onto in standard leagues given the Bulls' dire need for offense, especially with Jimmy Butler (elbow) going down on Sunday.
Mar 1 - 6:01 PM

Aaron Brooks hit just 2-of-15 shots (2-of-8 from deep) for six points, four rebounds, four assists and one steal over 31 minutes on Friday against the Wolves.

If any impatient owner drops him after a less-than-spectacular start be ready to pick him up. Yes, the Bulls could bring in another point guard but it's doubtful they'll crack the rotation or impact Brooks' minutes. The diminutive guard has a late-round floor with some mid-round upside probably for the rest of the season.
Feb 28 - 2:26 AM

Aaron Brooks played 28 minutes against the Hornets on Wednesday during a start, scoring 12 points with four rebounds, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer.

He made 4-of-12 from the field, was 3-of-8 from the line, and didn't turn the ball over. If Brooks is indeed going to play 28 minutes per game, he should absolutely be worth owning in standard leagues based on his per-minute production, averaging 10.6 points, 2.7 dimes, 0.6 steals and 1.5 treys in just 19.9 minutes per game this season. If you need a point guard, he is a very attractive option.
Feb 26 - 12:29 AM

Aaron Brooks will start at PG against the Hornets on Wednesday.

Derrick Rose (knee) is out indefinitely, leaving Brooks with a clear path to sustained fantasy value down the stretch. Kirk Hinrich has been banged up and ineffective for months, and Tom Thibodeau isn't shy about giving his starters heavy minutes. Brooks still has explosive offensive potential and he should be owned in all leagues while we see how the Bulls' rotation shakes out in Rose's absence.
Feb 25 - 6:18 PM

Aaron Brooks scored just four points on Monday, hitting 2-of-9 shots from the field with one rebound and two assists in 19 minutes.

Brooks had a nice month of January but it has been downhill ever since and he can be left on waivers in most standard formats.
