Aaron Brooks played 25 minutes off the bench against the Knicks on Thursday with 18 points, two rebounds, five assists, one steal and five 3-pointers.
Derrick Rose (illness) is not traveling with the Bulls for Friday, so chances are Brooks has another game ready to go on Friday. Although, it's not going to be as great of a matchup against the Grizzlies, but he's still worth a look for short-term value. Dec 18 - 11:27 PM

Aaron Brooks scored 17 points on 8-of-10 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds and four assists in just 17 minutes on Friday.

Brooks hasn't played well enough to be on rosters in most 12-14 team formats, and tonight's minutes are right in line with the 17-18 mpg he has played for the last two weeks. If he can string some bigger outings together we'll let you know.
Dec 12 - 10:41 PM

Aaron Brooks scored 16 points in 22 minutes in Tuesday's road loss, taking advantage of extra playing time following Derrick Rose's departure with hamstring tightness.

Brooks has scored double-digit points in four straight games and he's worth deploying if you need scoring and 3-point shooting, with a trickle of steals and assists. Rose is questionable to return for Friday's game, so anyone targeting Brooks should keep an eye on Chicago's ever-changing injury report.
Nov 26 - 12:08 AM

Aaron Brooks scored 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 23 minutes on Monday.

With the Bulls' point guard position in constant flux, there's not a lot to hang onto here for owners. If you want to move on, it makes sense, but if you want to see if he's the last point guard standing you better know it's a risky stash.
Nov 25 - 1:41 AM

Aaron Brooks played only 24 minutes against the Blazers during a 105-87 loss, scoring 12 points with two rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes.

The Bulls did not have Kirk Hinrich (chest) or Derrick Rose (hamstring) tonight, but this game was a blowout. Brooks should get more run on Monday with Hinrich and Rose very questionable to play. His owners shouldn't panic, but he's obviously not a must-own player because he is more of a stop-gap fantasy option.
Nov 22 - 2:20 AM

Aaron Brooks played down the stretch against the Kings during a 103-88 loss on Thursday, scoring 12 points with two rebounds, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Kirk Hinrich (chest) suffered an injury tonight and the extent is not yet known. If Hinrich is out, Brooks would pick up all the minutes he can handle. Considering it's just a chest injury, fantasy owners shouldn't be too aggressive on adding Brooks.
Nov 21 - 1:30 AM

Aaron Brooks scored just seven points on 3-of-8 shooting with one assist in 20 minutes off the bench on Monday.

Brooks is going to be measured by how he performs on the nights when Derrick Rose is invariably out, and by this measurement he'll be harder to trust next time out. Rose is day-to-day with his current hamstring injury.
Nov 18 - 1:54 AM

Aaron Brooks played just 18 minutes off the bench against the Pacers on Saturday with six points, two rebounds, one assist and three turnovers.

Ouch. All signs indicated Brooks was set for a big game tonight because he scored 26 points in the last game without Derrick Rose (hamstring). Rose isn't expected to be out for too long, so there's very little reason to be too attached to Brooks right now.
Nov 15 - 11:58 PM

Aaron Brooks scored a game-high 26 points against the Celtics on Saturday with eight assists and four 3-pointers on 9-of-15 from the field in 28 minutes.

Coach Tom Thibodeau doesn't know how to turn in his lineups in a fantasy-friendly way, but he sure does know how to get the most out of his backup point guards. Last year it was D.J. Augustin and this year Brooks looks like a bargain for the Bulls. He probably won't have much value while Derrick Rose (ankles) is active, though.
Nov 8 - 11:49 PM

Aaron Brooks appears to be playing on Saturday.

He had an injury on Friday, but he wasn't on the injury report and there has been no news on him since last night. If you want to use him in a deep league, it's probably safe.
Nov 8 - 7:24 PM

Aaron Brooks tweaked his right ankle during Friday's 118-115 win over the 76ers on Friday.

He played well with 10 points, one rebound, four assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 17 minutes. Brooks is hopeful to play on Saturday against the Celtics. If he's out along with Derrick Rose, expect Kirk Hinrich to get more run. Hinrich scored 13 points with three rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.
Nov 7 - 11:40 PM

Aaron Brooks looked great in 30 minutes off the bench in Derrick Rose's absence on Tuesday, knocking down 5-of-11 shots for 13 points with eight assists and a career-high three blocks.

That's not a typo -- 6'0" Brooks swatted three shots and earned Tom Thibodeau's praise for his defensive efforts after the game. He was also the engine of Chicago's offense while in the game, but it's hard to project sustained fantasy value with Derrick Rose (ankle) day-to-day.
Nov 4 - 11:13 PM

Aaron Brooks scored 16 points off the bench against the Wolves on Saturday with two rebounds, five assists and three 3-pointers.

Derrick Rose (ankle) isn't expected to be out for too long, so Brooks can be left on the wire in most leagues. Although, fantasy owners will want to remember this line the next time Rose misses a game.
Nov 1 - 11:19 PM

Aaron Brooks hit 5-of-11 shots and three 3-pointers off the Bulls bench on Tuesday, finishing with 18 points, two rebounds, three assists and three steals in 25 minutes of an overtime loss to the Pistons.

Brooks made some big strides tonight and may have surpassed Kirk Hinrich as the Bulls' backup point guard. He's probably not worth drafting in most leagues at this point, but if you want to handcuff him to Derrick Rose, it makes sense. He scored 15 of his points in the fourth quarter.
Oct 8 - 12:42 AM

Aaron Brooks spoke with fellow Seattle natives Jamal Crawford and Nate Robinson about playing in Chicago.

This season will be Brooks' first with the Bulls. After spending the beginning of his career with Houston, Brooks is set to join his fifth team since the 2010 season. Strong March and April performances helped rejuvenate Brooks' NBA career, however, because of the Bulls' depth, it appears Brooks will have to battle with the likes of rookies Doug McDermott, Nikola Mirotic, and second-year man Tony Snell for what's left of the available minutes in Chicago.
