The Bulls are not expected to re-sign Aaron Brooks.
While the Bulls could use some help at point guard, they are expected to move on from the 31-year-old as they attempt to get younger through the draft. Brooks will likely land on an NBA roster as a backup point guard, but he won't be worth drafting in standard fantasy leagues at this point in his career. Jun 21 - 9:30 AM

Aaron Brooks scored 14 points against the Pistons on Saturday with one rebound, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 16 minutes.

Before the game, Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy said Aaron Brooks represents the type of small guard the Pistons have trouble defending. While SVG was right, it's still tough to add Brooks here even with Derrick Rose (elbow) banged up.
Apr 2 - 10:42 PM

Aaron Brooks had seven points and four assists in 20 minutes on Tuesday, while E'Twaun Moore added five points, four assists and a 3-pointer on 2-of-6 shooting in 24 minutes.

Derrick Rose suffered a hyperextended right elbow tonight so one of the Bulls' back up point guards are likely going to have to step up. Flip a coin on Moore and Brooks, but the bottom line is that both may be worth owning if Rose is going to miss time. We're still awaiting results on the severity of Rose's injury, so stay tuned.
Mar 29 - 10:17 PM

Aaron Brooks was ejected from Saturday's game vs. the Magic for two technical fouls.

He was also ejected the last time the Bulls played Orlando. Regardless, Brooks hasn't played well all season and isn't worth owning while Derrick Rose is healthy. He finished with six points and three assists in 18 minutes.
Mar 26 - 9:09 PM

Aaron Brooks (knee) played 21 minutes off the bench on Friday, scoring 11 points on 4-of-12 shooting with three assists, one rebound, one 3-pointer and one turnover.

Brooks hasn't been worth owning all year long, and he has failed to capitalize on the various opportunities when Derrick Rose (groin) has hit the sidelines. Leave him on the wire.
Mar 12 - 3:36 AM

Aaron Brooks (knee) will be available to play Thursday vs. the Spurs.

He'll play around 20 minutes off the bench, which isn't enough time for him to produce in most leagues. Leave him on the wire.
Mar 9 - 1:15 PM

Aaron Brooks was spotted getting some shots up during Tuesday's practice, and he said that he's not concerned about the right knee injury that he is dealing with.

Brooks only lasted four minutes during Monday's loss to the Bucks before tapping out, but it sounds like there's a chance he'll be able to play Thursday vs. San Antonio. However, with Derrick Rose healthy, Brooks will not get enough minutes to matter in most leagues. Leave him on the wire.
Mar 8 - 2:59 PM

Aaron Brooks (knee) will not return to Monday's game vs. the Bucks.

He is dealing with patellar tendonitis in his right knee and should be considered day-to-day moving forward. Brooks isn't a consistent part of the rotation, so this doesn't have any fantasy implications. Leave him on the wire.
Mar 7 - 9:30 PM

Aaron Brooks was a DNP-CD on Saturday.

No revenge game for you, Mr. Brooks. He's been terrible as one of the worst players since the start of February. Brooks has been leapfrogged by E'Twaun Moore for the backup point guard job.
Mar 6 - 12:00 AM

Aaron Brooks was ejected for two technical fouls on Wednesday.

He picked up the second tech with seven minutes left in the game. With Derrick Rose back, Brooks has very little fantasy value. He's not playing well anyway.
Mar 2 - 9:02 PM

Aaron Brooks scored 16 points off the bench on Tuesday vs. the Heat, adding two boards, one assist and three 3-pointers.

He was just 5-of-15 from the field, and the only reason that he saw 22 minutes is because Derrick Rose (hamstring) was on a minutes limit. Unless he does this again, Leave Brooks on the wire.
Mar 1 - 10:45 PM

Aaron Brooks could be involved in a trade for Shabazz Napier.

He has to agree to any deal. Brooks has an expiring contract and the Magic are looking to open things up for their summer pursuits. Brooks would lose some value in Orlando.
Feb 18 - 2:12 PM

Aaron Brooks made 2-of-12 from the field for four points with one rebound, four assists, one block and no turnovers in 20 minutes against the Hornets on Monday.

The Bulls bench was a nightmare and Brooks missed more shots than any other Bull. If Derrick Rose (soreness) can't play on Wednesday, Brook should get another chance. He can be left on the wire in almost all leagues.
Feb 8 - 9:25 PM

Aaron Brooks is expected to have a larger role with Derrick Rose (soreness) out on Monday against the Hornets.

While Kirk Hinrich gets the start, it should be Brooks getting more shots and maybe even more minutes. He's in play as a streamer and a DFS option.
Feb 8 - 6:53 PM

Aaron Brook played 33 minutes against the Heat on Monday with 13 points, two rebounds, six assists, three steals and two 3-pointers.

The Bulls are running out of point guards because Derrick Rose (hamstring) got hurt yet again. Shooting guard E'Twaun Moore (hamstring) and point guard Kirk Hinrich (quad) are also hurt, so the Bulls may have to get creative. If you need some help in the short term, give Brooks a look.
