He sprained his ankle in Monday's game against the Jazz and didn't miss time with the injury. Anthony only plays 9.9 minutes per game and has no value in almost all fantasy leagues.

Anthony has dealt with the hamstring injury since the end of September, and his availability for opening night is unknown at the moment. Regardless of his health, the big man won't play a significant role for Miami this year.

Anthony is nursing a "slight" hamstring pull, and although the injury doesn't sound serious, the Heat won't risk any major aggravations this early in training camp. With Chris Bosh sliding into a full-time role at center, Anthony isn't on the fantasy radar.

The injury doesn't sounds serious, and we're considering Anthony day-to-day until further notice. He'll need to have a strong camp to make the regular season rotation as a backup center, as Chris Bosh has taken over full-time starting C duties.

Beat writer Ira Winderman "wouldn't be surprised if the Heat were angling" to trade Joel Anthony.

As Winderman notes, the team's "position-less small-ball approach" minimizes the definitive need for Anthony. The defensive-minded center is owed $3.8 million in each of the next two seasons, so it's not going to be like there will be a long list of teams lining up in an attempt to acquire him.

Anthony didn't even get off the bench and may not play in Game 6 either. Miami's center position has been a black hole and Anthony isn't going to solve that problem.

Joel Anthony apparently suffered an ankle injury during Monday's game, but X-rays taken were negative and the injury doesn't appear to be serious.

We're going to put him on the injury report in advance of Wednesday's game against the Raptors, but we have no report to suggest that he won't play. Anthony scored eight points with five boards, one steal, and two blocks, and is only worth watching for blocks if you're trolling that category.
