Mustafa Shakur has signed with Pau-Orthez of the French League.

Shakur got some burn with the injury-ravaged Wizards last season, but he's a borderline NBA player. He'll have a lot to prove, even in France.

The Wizards have signed Mustafa Shakur to a second 10-day contract.

Shakur is a non-entity in the Wizards rotation, and thus in fantasy leagues.

Mustafa Shakur will miss Monday's game with a sprained right ankle.

He has no fantasy value when healthy, despite being one of just a few guards on the Wizards roster.

Mustafa Shakur will not play in Saturday's game due to the flu.

It's possible that his absence is also related to the right leg injury that kept him out of Friday's game, and his absence may help the Wizards nudge Kirk Hinrich back on the court. Either way, look for John Wall to get as many minutes as his aching knee will allow.

Wizards guard Mustafa Shakur injured his right leg on Friday and will sit out vs. the Grizzlies.

Shakur was scoreless in six minutes and wasn't a factor despite the absence of injured Kirk Hinrich. His absence shouldn't make a difference to fantasy owners.

As expected, the Wizards have signed PG Mustafa Shakur out of the D-League.

Shakur might be called up because Kirk Hinrich's arm injury is serious -- the timing seems more than coincidental. He may fill a few minutes off the bench but isn't worth fantasy owners' attention outside of very deep formats.

The Wizards are expected to call up PG Mustafa Shakur from the D-League on Saturday.

Shakur said that he might be available to play vs. Boston on Saturday, but either way he's not a fantasy asset. In his D-League career he has averaged 8.4 points, 6.4 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.1 steals.

The Hornets waived guard Mustafa Shakur and big man Darryl Watkins on Monday.

Shakur's services were no longer needed when the Hornets traded for guard Curtis Jerrells.

The Hornets have officially signed G Mustafa Shakur.

We first reported this one a couple of weeks ago, but the Hornets have finally made it official. Shakur, who averaged 19.2 points and 6.9 assists for the Tulsa 66ers of the D-League, is currently the only back up point guard on the roster. Keep that in mind given Chris Paul's injury history and Darren Collison's explosion last season.

The Hornets have signed guard Mustafa Shakur to a partially-guaranteed contract, and he'll fight for a roster spot at training camp.

Shakur isn't likely to stick, and Times-Picayune reporter John Reid notes "the Hornets are still seeking to sign another backup PG."
Mon, Aug 23, 2010 05:56:00 PM

Thunder assigned G Mustafa Shakur to the Tulsa 66ers of the D-League.

Shakur has yet to appear in a game for the Thunder this season, and the 25-year-old remains irrelevant in even the deepest of fantasy leagues.
Wed, Mar 31, 2010 05:00:00 PM

Mustafa Shakur is expected to sign with the Thunder for the rest of the season but will remain with the D-League's Tulsa 66ers.

Basically, Shakur is an NBA prospect but Oklahoma City can't really use him right now. Instead of outright releasing him, they'll pay him a higher salary to develop his game.

Thunder released G Mustafa Shakur.

Shakur didn't get on the court during his 10-day contract. He's headed back to the Tulsa 66ers of the D-League.
