C.J. Watson (foot) is not expected to return until after Thanksgiving.
He doesn't have a timetable to return and we might not see him in game action until December. Considering how Watson has dealt with foot issues before, the team will likely manage his minutes for a while -- Rodney Stuckey also aggravating his foot injury doesn't help. There is not enough incentive to stash him in most leagues. Nov 21 - 2:21 PM

C.J. Watson (foot) will not play in Wednesday's game vs. the Hornets.

Watson is getting close to making his regular-season debut, but Wednesday will not be the day. Donald Sloan has been filling in admirably as the team's starting point guard with George Hill (knee) and Watson sidelined, and it's not clear if Watson would immediately challenge Sloan for the starting spot upon his return. Still, Watson would bring some much-needed offense to the Pacers, and is worth monitoring in deeper leagues. Stay tuned.
Nov 18 - 2:56 PM

C.J. Watson (foot) is listed as out for Saturday's game, but is targeting Nov. 17 for his return.

Donald Sloan will continue to play big minutes until reinforcements come, and will be an excellent plug-and-play option. Watson should be on the radar for owners in deep leagues, as the Pacers could use all the help they can get. We will update Watson's status as needed.

C.J. Watson (foot) is not ready to play on Friday night against the Nuggets.

It'll be the NBA's league leader in total touches, Donald Sloan, getting most of the work at point guard while A.J. Price will back him up. Sloan is a solid option in daily leagues today against a weak Nuggets perimeter defense.

C.J. Watson (foot) is out for Wednesday's game against Miami but is targeting November 17 for his return.

He shed his walking boot recently and is finally starting to make progress as he has yet to suit up this season. However, it is unclear what type of role he will have upon his return due to the fact that Donald Sloan has played admirably for the Pacers this season. Owners in deep leagues should keep a close eye on Watson for now.
Nov 12 - 1:45 PM

C.J. Watson (foot) is no longer wearing a walking boot on his injured right foot.

Watson is nearing a return to the court, and the Pacers could certainly use his services. Donald Sloan has been doing an admirable job filling in as the starting point guard for the Pacers, but he would likely head to the bench upon Watson's return.
Nov 11 - 2:55 PM

C.J. Watson (foot) is not expected to return this week.

The Pacers had been hopeful that he'd return by the end of the week, but it sounds like he's going to be out for at least another week. With George Hill (knee) out indefinitely, Donald Sloan will continue to be the man at point guard for the Pacers.
Nov 10 - 10:43 AM

C.J. Watson (foot) is getting closer to a return, and coach Vogel said on Saturday that he hopes to have him back by the end of next week.

Watson was initially targeting Nov. 11 but now it appears he won't be ready until Nov. 14. The Pacers could use all the help they could get with George Hill (knee) out until December. However, Watson will only be an asset in deeper leagues and can safely be ignored in standard leagues.
Nov 8 - 9:55 PM

C.J. Watson is expected to miss at least two weeks with a bruised right foot.

Ouch, with George Hill also expected to miss the first three weeks of the season, this is a pretty devastating blow for the Pacers. Donald Sloan is going to run the point for the Pacers for at least the first two weeks of the season, and he could have some decent short-term value, as the Pacers really have no one else to run the position.
Oct 27 - 2:28 PM

C.J. Watson (foot) is still out on Thursday night against the Hornets.

He's been out since Saturday and it's unclear how bad his foot injury is. Watson has dealt with a lot of foot injuries, but the team has said multiple times it's just soreness. He's only an option in very deep leagues, but will be in the rotation and should be out there on opening night.
Oct 23 - 7:05 PM

C.J. Watson (sore right foot) will not play in Tuesday's exhibition game against Minnesota.

It's worth noting that Pacers head coach Frank Vogel said that Watson would be able to play if it were the regular season. While Watson isn't the best option in standard fantasy leagues, he should see enough minutes at both guard spots to be a worthy late-round flier in deeper leagues.
Oct 21 - 1:55 PM

C.J. Watson (foot) will not play on Saturday night.

He's dealt with his sore foot for a while, but it's not considered serious. Watson should get minutes at both guard spots and is on the radar in deeper leagues.
Oct 18 - 5:37 PM

C.J. Watson (foot) made four 3-pointers in 26 bench minutes to finish Sunday's road loss with 16 points, three rebounds, five assists and one steal.

The Pacers need Watson to be aggressive this season, and he's likely to have a green light offensively whenever he steps on the court. Deep-league owners should keep an eye on him as a dirt-cheap source of points, 3-pointers, assists and steals.
Oct 12 - 10:07 PM

C.J. Watson (foot) will not play in Friday's preseason game vs. the Magic.

He was initially expected to play, but it appears the team ruled him out at the last minute. Watson averaged 6.6 points and 1.7 assists with the Pacers last season, and he's not going to be worth targeting in standard leagues.
Oct 10 - 7:04 PM

C.J. Watson (foot) will be active on Friday against the Magic.

The Pacers played Solomon Hill as their sixth man as the first sub on Tuesday, replacing Rodney Stuckey. It should be interesting to see how Watson fits in and whether or not he gets run at shooting guard.
