The Phoenix Suns and Anthony Tolliver have agreed on a 2-year, $6 million contract.
"It’s a great opportunity for me," Tolliver said. "With a great nucleus of young players, and the respect I have for Ryan [McDonough], Jeff Hornacek and the entire organization, it’s a perfect situation." Tolliver has been a journeyman so far in his NBA career as this will be his seventh team in as many seasons in the NBA. He shot a career-high 41.3 percent from beyond the arc last season and will provide quality depth for the Suns. Jul 16 - 9:46 AM

Coach Steve Clifford said has "a lot of faith" in Anthony Tolliver and could play him more on Wednesday if the Heat go small.

The Bobcats will probably need some help in 3-pointers to hang with Miami. One obvious connection here is how Tolliver could be a part of the solution should the Bobcats not have Al Jefferson for his normal allotment of minutes. He played just five minutes in Game 1's loss, so he's probably not going to have a huge impact tonight.
Apr 23 - 5:38 PM

Anthony Tolliver turned in his second consecutive productive game on Friday night, scoring 13 points with two boards, one assist and four 3-pointers in 23 minutes.

He put up a 16-point game on Wednesday night and is looking at another opportunity on Saturday vs. the Cavs due to Josh McRoberts (ankle) already being ruled out. If you're looking for points and triples out of your power forward spot, Tolliver is on the short list of options.
Apr 4 - 9:44 PM

Anthony Tolliver came off the bench for 16 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four 3-pointers in Wednesday's blowout of the Sixers.

With Josh McRoberts (ankle, day-to-day) sidelined, Cody Zeller started at power forward. Tolliver came in firing and didn't stop once garbage time hit early, bringing back memories of when he went on a fantasy tear while in Minnesota. But with McRoberts' injury not considered serious and Zeller the immediate backup, we wouldn't make an add here.
Apr 2 - 10:10 PM

Anthony Tolliver got hot during 25 reserve minutes in Oklahoma City on Sunday, scoring 17 points with four 3-pointers.

He didn't get any rebounds, assists, steals or blocks, and it will take far more than one fluky shooting night for him to cobble together fantasy value. He was joined in double-digits by fellow reserves Cody Zeller (10 points) and Gary Neal (12 points), both of whom are just as dubious in standard fantasy leagues.
Mar 2 - 10:04 PM

Anthony Tolliver scored a season-high 22 points against the Mavericks on Tuesday with one board and five 3-pointers in 25 minutes.

It actually wasn't a garbage-time special with just six of his points coming in the fourth quarter. Tolliver has actually been effective from deep over his last four, making a total of 13 treys on his way to 13.3 points per game. This is a little fluky and Tolliver is only worth a look for trey-needy owners in deep leagues.
Feb 11 - 9:52 PM

Anthony Tolliver scored 14 points with one assist, one steal and three 3-pointers in 21 minutes vs. the Suns on Saturday.

He scored 11 points in the fourth quarter and got the most out of garbage time. Tolliver's fantasy value is unchanged at this point, averaging 5.3 points and 2.0 boards in 22.3 minutes per game over his previous 10 games. Adjust accordingly.
Feb 2 - 1:45 AM

Anthony Tolliver played 26 minutes off the bench but missed all three of his shots and failed to score on Saturday.

He had two rebounds, a steal and a block, and as long as he's not starting for the Cats, he shouldn't be starting for your fantasy team.
Jan 25 - 9:49 PM

After scoring 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting in Friday's game, Anthony Tolliver went scoreless without a single field goal attempt on Saturday.

This sums up the case against Tolliver as a fantasy option. His role is already chaotic and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist's impending return all but ensures that Tolliver won't hold any value off the bench.
Jan 11 - 11:08 PM

Anthony Tolliver got hot on Friday and hit 8-of-9 shots with five treys for 21 points.

Of course, Tolliver only added three rebounds to this line during his 27 minutes, and given his inconsistency and the pending return of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist there isn't any reason to make an add.
Jan 10 - 10:49 PM

Anthony Tolliver was benched on Saturday and played just 16 minutes, finishing with six points, two rebounds, a block and two 3-pointers.

Chris Douglas-Roberts got the start in his place tonight and if you own Tolliver, go ahead and swap him out for CDR. Douglas-Roberts scored 20 on Thursday and had 10 points in 35 minutes tonight, making him a better option going forward.
Jan 5 - 2:49 AM

Anthony Tolliver made another start at small forward on Thursday but hit just 1-of-3 shots (a 3-pointer) for three points, three rebounds and two assists in 31 minutes in a blowout loss to the Blazers.

Chris Douglas-Roberts came off the bench for a season-high 20 points to go with four rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers on 6-of-8 shooting in 24 minutes. Yes, it was garbage time, but Tolliver hasn't exactly locked down the starting job. Keep a close eye on this position battle, as it's possible that CDR could replace Tolliver in the starting five at some point.
Jan 3 - 2:06 AM

Anthony Tolliver scored 11 points on 4-of-11 shooting and hit three more 3-pointers in 37 minutes in another start at small forward on Wednesday.

Tolliver has been quite inconsistent, scoring 11, 3, 12, 6, 12, 2, 3 and 10 points in each of his last eight games. Tonight also marked the first time he hit a two-point basket in his last five games. He's hit 14 3-pointers over his last five games and while he's not a must-own, if you're looking for a deep-league replacement for Al-Farouq Aminu, who played 14 minutes for the Pelicans tonight, Tolliver might be worth a flier.
Jan 2 - 12:09 AM

Anthony Tolliver hit just 1-of-6 shots for three points and seven rebounds in 26 minutes on Monday.

Tolliver made his one bucket count as a 3-pointer but this clearly isn't getting it done for owners. In his last seven games he has just top 150-180 value despite playing 28.4 minutes per game.
Mon, Dec 30, 2013 11:39:00 PM

Anthony Tolliver had 12 points, seven rebounds, a steal and four 3-pointers on 4-of-10 shooting in Saturday's loss.

Tolliver has now scored all his points on 3-pointers in four of his last five games, which is odd for a big man. His offense is shaky, at best, but he's averaging 10 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 3-pointers over his last three games. Chris Douglas-Roberts is coming off the bench and had seven points and five rebounds in 23 minutes. As long as Tolliver is starting and hitting 3-pointers, he's a decent deep-league option as long as Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is out.
