Anthony Tolliver will rest on Friday vs. the Warriors.
The Kings are calling it "planned rest," so expect Tolliver to be back in action on Sunday. With Tolliver out, Skal Labissiere should get a nice bump in minutes tonight. Mar 24 - 8:45 PM

Date:

Anthony Tolliver scored 10 points with two rebounds and two 3-pointers against the Thunder on Saturday.

The Kings used him at the three at times in this game. Tolliver is likely going to be resting in several games to finish out the season, especially with both Skal Labissiere and Georgios Papagiannis playing better lately. Leave Tolliver on the wire.
Mar 18 - 5:30 PM

Anthony Tolliver will sit out Wednesday's game to rest.

The Kings rested multiple players on Monday and this is likely to become a trend down the stretch. Tolliver wasn't a reliable option for more than a handful of 3-pointers anyway, so most owners won't be affected by this news. Skal Labissiere should gain the most with Tolliver out tonight.
Mar 15 - 8:29 PM

Anthony Tolliver posted 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including 5-of-7 from behind the arc, in Monday's game against the Magic.

Tolliver was seeing extended minutes with the Kings operating with a short bench due to injury or several players getting a night off to rest. He made the most of the chance, performing well from the field. Kosta Koufos is expected to return to action next time out, and with Willie Cauley-Stein and Skal Labissiere also in the mix in the middle, Tolliver isn't the most attractive fantasy option when all are active.
Mar 14 - 1:36 AM

Anthony Tolliver scored 11 points with four rebounds, one assist and three 3-pointers against the Hornets on Saturday.

It's starting to feel like he's just keeping the seat warm for Skal Labissiere. Tolliver did also hurt his head in the first half, but he was fine and stayed in the game. Assuming you're not dying for treys from a power forward, he's not a fantasy option for the rebuilding Kings.
Feb 25 - 8:18 PM

Anthony Tolliver played 31 minutes in a start against the Nuggets on Thursday with three points, eight rebounds and three assists.

Based on how Skal Labissiere looked, Tolliver's minutes should start to trend down. Unless you really need treys from the power forward spot, leave Tolliver on the wire.
Feb 24 - 1:37 AM

Anthony Tolliver returned to the bench on Friday vs. the Hawks, but played well with 15 points in 26 minutes.

All seven of his shot attempts were from beyond the arc and he finished with five 3-pointers, adding three boards and one assist. He's the definition of a 3-point specialist because he brings almost nothing else to the table, so there's not much fantasy value here.
Feb 11 - 1:44 AM

Anthony Tolliver started Wednesday's game in place of DeMarcus Cousins (suspension), finishing a win vs. Boston with 11 points on 5-of-12 shooting, four rebounds, three steals and two turnovers.

Tolliver went 1-of-7 from deep in 37 minutes of action tonight, and coach Dave Joerger continues to show a lot of faith in the veteran. His ability to hit perimeter shots is crucial to his fantasy appeal, as well as his playing time, but tonight's line was the result of Cousins' absence -- there are better 3-point specialists floating on most waiver wires.
Feb 9 - 1:58 AM

Anthony Tolliver is back in the Kings' starting lineup vs. Boston on Wednesday.

Willie Cauley-Stein will come off the bench despite DeMarcus Cousins' absence due to a suspension. Tolliver is nothing more than a temporary punt play, despite his starting gig tonight.
Feb 8 - 10:26 PM

Anthony Tolliver scored seven points with five rebounds, one block and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes against the Suns on Friday.

The Kings got super weird with some lineups here with Tolliver getting some decent burn at the three. Still, he really didn't see a major bump in minutes here, so he likely won't benefit much from what he's done lately. He hasn't been a top-200 player in standard leagues over his last 10.
Feb 4 - 3:59 AM

Anthony Tolliver scored 14 points with seven rebounds, three assists, one block, two steals and four 3-pointers in 30 minutes against the Hornets on Saturday.

Coach Dave Joerger wisely used Tolliver out there next to DeMarcus Cousins to give Boogie some room to operate. Tolliver hasn't exactly done much in his last five games since Rudy Gay (Achilles) went down, averaging 8.0 points, 3.2 boards, 1.0 assists and 1.8 treys in 25.0 minutes. He's really just a specialist in deeper leagues.
Jan 28 - 10:13 PM

Anthony Tolliver hit 2-of-7 shots for six points with one rebound and two 3-pointers in Saturday's loss to the Bulls.

Tolliver continues to struggle and has now scored fewer than 10 points in four of his last five games, averaging 27.8 minutes, 6.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game during that stretch. With Rudy Gay (Achilles) out, more was expected out of Tolliver, but he has not lived up to the hype and is far from a must-own player at this point.
Jan 22 - 12:10 AM

Anthony Tolliver came off the bench against the Pacers on Wednesday with five points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 22 minutes.

The first time Rudy Gay (Achilles) missed extended time, Tolliver was let loose a bit with 28.7 minutes per game in that 11-game span. He averaged 9.7 points, 4.8 boards, 0.9 assists, 0.5 blocks and 1.9 treys on 50.0 percent from the field. While that percentage may not be sustainable, Tolliver did post ninth-round value in that span, so he's worth a look if you need treys from a power forward.
Jan 19 - 1:20 AM

Anthony Tolliver scored 10 points with four rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes against the Thunder on Sunday.

Tolliver started in his fourth consecutive game tonight and has played over 30 minutes in each of his starts. During that stretch, he is averaging 33.3 minutes, 12.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.8 steals and 2.3 treys per game. Coach Dave Joerger likes to mix it up with his starting five, so at any moment Tolliver could head back to his bench role. However, until that happens, he is worth considering in deeper leagues for fantasy owners in need of 3-pointers and steals.
Jan 16 - 12:27 AM

Anthony Tolliver scored 17 points with three triples, four rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes against the Pistons on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old sharpshooter took seven attempts from deep and finished 4-of-11 from the field and 6-of-6 from the line. At first glance this looks like a fluke, but Tolliver actually had 16 points and three more triples in his previous outing. He's played 36 and 32 minutes in those two games, so feel free to give him a glance if you strictly need a couple 3-pointers. Just keep in mind that he's still Anthony Tolliver.
