Anthony Tolliver did not score in his 21 minutes off the bench during a 100-91 win over the Bulls, adding five rebounds, two assists and one turnover.
His minutes are somewhat safer now and he was the first man off the bench. Tolliver obviously isn't a fantasy savior or anything, but he'll be a decent plug-and-play guy in deep leagues. He's not a DFS option, obviously. Feb 21 - 1:14 AM

Date:

Anthony Tolliver got hot in 25 minutes vs. the Hornets, finishing with 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting, three 3-pointers, four rebounds and one assist.

The Hornets' frontcourt was overmatched all night, but the low-point may have been watching Tolliver repeatedly blow by defenders for easy buckets. He's emerged with a steady enough bench role for specialist value in deep leagues, averaging 8.0 points, 1.3 triples, 3.3 rebounds and 0.5 steals in February.
Feb 10 - 9:29 PM

Anthony Tolliver scored 15 points in a 34 minutes of action on Sunday, falling one point shy of his season-high in a disappointing home loss to the Wolves.

He made 4-of-8 field goals and 4-of-4 free throws with three 3-pointers, four rebounds and one assist, and picked up more minutes than usual with both Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond in foul trouble. Tolliver's steady barrage of 3-point attempts is enough for value in deep leagues, but most owners should leave him on the waiver wire.
Feb 8 - 9:15 PM

Anthony Tolliver played 21 minutes against the Pacers on Wednesday with 12 points, two rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer.

He was running some pick-and-roll plays with John Lucas III, which is something nobody imagined a couple months ago. He was out there for spacing, but his minutes are going to be limited as long as Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe are healthy. Give him a look in deep leagues, though.
Feb 4 - 9:45 PM

Anthony Tolliver played a season-high 33 minutes on Wednesday, finishing a win vs. the Magic with nine points, one 3-pointer, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.

The 29-year-old journeyman has carved out a dependable role under Stan Van Gundy, but his playing time is likely to fluctuate based upon matchups. The Pistons scored a season-high 128 points tonight vs. Orlando's hapless defense, which also aided Tolliver's cause, and he's little more than a 3-point specialist in deep leagues.
Jan 21 - 10:21 PM

Anthony Tolliver approached his season-high in playing time on Tuesday, scoring three points with five rebounds and one steal in 23 minutes vs. the Spurs.

He missed all four of his 3-point attempts but coach Stan Van Gundy seemed to prefer Tolliver's court-stretching shooting range, which allowed Andre Drummond to dominate the paint. There's no reason to touch Tolliver outside of the deepest fantasy leagues.
Jan 6 - 11:28 PM

Anthony Tolliver came off the Pistons' bench on Tuesday for five points, one 3-pointer and two rebounds in 11 minutes.

Stan Van Gundy's appreciation for 3-point shooters is well-known, which gives Tolliver intriguing deep-league upside now that he's in Detroit. He still faces stiff competition from Jonas Jerebko and Caron Butler for reserve forward minutes, and belongs on the waiver wire until further notice.

Anthony Tolliver will be active for Tuesday's game against the Magic.

The Pistons recently acquired him in a trade with the Suns, and coach Stan Van Gundy is said to be a fan of his ability to stretch the floor. That being said, Tolliver likely won't be a big part of the rotation right away and owners in deep leagues can use a wait-and-see approach here. We will let you know how he fares after the game.

Anthony Tolliver is expected to be active in Detroit's next game on Tuesday against the Magic.

Tolliver should have been active for Sunday's win, but a clerical error prevented that from happening. "A screwup on our part," Stan Van Gundy said.

Anthony Tolliver will be inactive for Sunday's game vs. the Cavs.

Tolliver isn't on the fantasy radar, and with Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe healthy, he can safely remain on the waiver wire in all leagues.

Anthony Tolliver will not suit up for Friday's game vs. the Pacers.

Tolliver isn't likely to crack the rotation in Detroit any time soon, so he can remain on the waiver wire in nearly all leagues.

The Phoenix Suns have traded forward Anthony Tolliver to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Tony Mitchell.

Tolliver wasn't in the rotation in Phoenix and we don't see him playing a lot for the rebuilding Pistons, so this news shouldn't matter in most leagues. Tony Mitchell, on the other hand, has some potential but will likely be waived by the Suns. Stay tuned.

Anthony Tolliver made both attempts from the field for seven points with six rebounds, two 3-pointers and two turnovers in 19 minutes against the Lakers on Wednesday.

He is going to take a lot of triples and may actually be near 1.0 makes per game. Tolliver is still not a fantasy option in almost any format.

Anthony Tolliver will get the start for the Suns' preseason game on Thursday.

Tolliver played 18 minute in his preseason debut, scoring 10 points and grabbing two boards. He missed some time this preseason with a cut on his finger, but now he is starting in the preseason and further cementing a rotation role in Phoenix. He will likely fill a stretch-four role of the bench and is not worth targeting in fantasy drafts.

Anthony Tolliver (finger) played 18 minutes in his preseason debut against the Nuggets on Friday, scoring 10 points with two rebounds, one steal and three 3-pointers.

He is a poor man's version of Channing Frye and the Suns will find a role for him. Tolliver is still not worth drafting in most formats.
