Chris Douglas-Roberts (Achilles) will not play Thursday vs. the Clippers.
Douglas-Roberts has not stepped on the court since Nov. 5, and remains without an official return date. The Clippers are stacked on the wings, so even upon his eventual return, CDR will have zero fantasy value. Leave him on the wire. Nov 20 - 7:02 PM

Date:

Chris Doulgas-Roberts (Achilles) is questionable for Monday against the Bulls.

His Achilles strain isn't minor and we're not expecting him to play tonight. Douglas-Roberts is out of the rotation and has no fantasy value.
Nov 17 - 3:53 PM

Chris Douglas-Roberts (Achilles) won't play in Saturday's game, and doesn't have a timetable to return.

Coach Doc Rivers hinted that it would probably be one to two weeks, and that it is just a minor strain. CDR didn't have fantasy value even before this news, so owners should look elsewhere. Matt Barnes and Jamal Crawford will pick up a couple extra minutes in CDR's absence.
Nov 15 - 9:00 PM

Chris Douglas-Roberts is dealing with a sore right Achilles and is questionable to play on Saturday against the Suns.

He hasn't played in the last two games because he's not in the rotation. The move of Jamal Crawford in the starting lineup hurts Douglas-Roberts' chance to play.
Nov 14 - 4:41 PM

Chris Douglas-Roberts has decided to wear smaller shorts in an effort to help his defensive game this season.

Don't adjust your television screen if you think you've turned into an old game from the 1990's. It's just Chris Douglass-Roberts. "They can't get any shorter," Douglas-Roberts said of his shorts. "This is the shortest they make these days. They want me to check the best guy and you have to have stamina, you have to be able to move. I'm not saying you can't move with bigger shorts, but I feel more comfortable in these." While his shorts may or may not help his game, fantasy owners can feel free to pass on CDR as he won't see enough minutes to be relevant in standard leagues.
Oct 23 - 9:27 AM

Chris Douglas-Roberts (ankle) will practice on Monday, and play in Tuesday's preseason game vs. the Warriors.

CDR will provide emergency depth for the Clippers this season, and it'll take a few injuries for him to gain any sort of fantasy relevance. He is not someone that should be targeted in standard leagues.
Oct 20 - 5:15 PM

Chris Douglas-Roberts (ankle) is out for Saturday's exhibition game, with Joe Ingles starting in his place.

Doc Rivers said that Douglas-Roberts sprained his ankle on Friday and that he will get a night off. The injury is not serious and the Clippers will have a chance to evaluate Joe Ingles, who was brought on this summer after an excellent FIBA showing for the Aussies. To summarize, this is the 5th different player to start at SF for the Clips and neither of these players are on the radar in standard leagues.
Oct 18 - 9:08 PM

Chris Douglas-Roberts drew a start at small forward on Monday against the Jazz, scoring just four points on 1-of-5 shooting with four rebounds and one steal in 31 minutes.

The Clippers are still working out the kinks and are winless in the preseason, so it's hard to pin this bad stat line entirely on CDR, but regardless we're not expecting much from him this season.
Oct 14 - 1:22 AM

Chris Douglas-Roberts' contract with the Clippers is fully guaranteed for the 2014-15 season.

The Clippers have 13 players with guaranteed deals, including CDR and Ekpe Udoh, so it seems they'll keep both guys on their regular-season roster. Douglas-Roberts filled in admirably after joining the Bobcats last year, averaging 6.9 points, 1.0 threes, 2.4 rebounds and 0.6 steals in 20 minutes per game, but he may not even crack Doc Rivers' rotation in L.A.
Sep 7 - 7:52 PM

Clippers sign G/F Chris Douglas-Roberts.

The Hornets didn't need another wing, so CDR heads west. Douglas-Roberts won't be making the rotation because the Clippers aren't short on wings either, but he's a candidate to make the roster.
Sep 3 - 7:52 PM

The Clippers are close to reaching an agreement with unrestricted free agent Chris Douglas-Roberts.

CDR had been linked to Miami as well, but it appears that the Clippers are going to snatch up the veteran. He will likely see time off the bench backing up J.J. Redick, Jamal Crawford, and Matt Barnes, but it would take an injury to one of the aforementioned players for Douglas-Roberts to gain standard league relevance. Owners can safely ignore CDR on draft day.
Sep 1 - 9:17 AM

Free agent Chris Douglas-Roberts recently worked out for the Heat, who are also interested in Leandro Barbosa and Jordan Crawford.

CDR has been linked to Miami for the past month, so they're obviously in no rush to add him. His best-case scenario in Miami would be backing up Dwyane Wade as part of a platoon with Danny Granger and Reggie Williams, and fantasy owners would do well to ignore the five-year veteran in standard formats.
Aug 20 - 11:29 AM

Chris Douglas-Roberts played 25 minutes and hit 6-of-8 shots and two 3-pointers for 17 points, three rebounds and one assist in Saturday's loss.

He scored a total of seven points in Games 1 & 2, so it's hard to suggest using him in Game 4. Gary Neal played 28 minutes off the bench, but didn't do much outside of scoring nine points.
Apr 26 - 10:00 PM

Chris Douglas-Roberts shot 7-of-9 from the field for 18 points vs. the Wizards on Monday with three boards and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes.

Coach Steve Clifford has kept him in the lineup a little more than usual due to his improved play. Douglas-Roberts played 28.6 minutes per game over his last five, averaging 10.8 points, 3.2 boards, 0.6 steals and 1.0 triples. With Gary Neal back, CDR is likely going to have some inconsistencies.
Mar 31 - 10:46 PM

Chris Douglas-Roberts hit 6-of-14 shots and three 3-pointers for 16 points, five rebounds and two assists in Wednesday's win.

The absence of Gary Neal (ankle, knee) helped him tonight, as CDR saw 27 minutes. He's been getting some nice run of late and is averaging 10.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 3-pointers over his last five games, making him worth a deep-league look. He also hit a long two-pointer in overtime to help seal the win for the Bobcats.
