Tyler Hansbrough has been claimed by the Pacers' D-League affiliate, the Mad Ants.
Hansbrough will attempt to make an NBA comeback via the D-League route, but even if he snags a 10-day deal somewhere, his fantasy value will be non-existent. Wed, Mar 1, 2017 01:17:00 PM

Tyler Hansbrough has reportedly signed with a D-League team.

Hansbrough will try and prove his worth in the D-League, but even if he's able to land an NBA contract, he won't have any fantasy value.

Tyler Hansbrough (back spasms) will not play in Game 7 vs. the Heat on Sunday.

He isn't in the rotation anyways, so this won't have any fantasy implications.

Tyler Hansbrough played 18 minutes against the Magic on Friday with six points and four rebounds.

He'll be the No. 2 center until the Hornets can get Cody Zeller (shoulder) back. Hansbrough took a key charge in this game and was actually pretty solid. Leave him on the wire, obviously.

Tyler Hansbrough played just three minutes in the Hornets' win over the Mavericks on Thursday.

His only stat of the night was a personal league, so you probably didn't do too well if you used him in your fantasy lineup. Hansbrough is buried on the depth chart in Charlotte right now, so he is well off the fantasy radar.

Hornets head coach Steve Clifford said he wasn't sure what type of role Tyler Hansbrough will have this season.

"That’s one of the things that I think we have to determine," Clifford said. "He’s going to help every day just by who he is. He’s a natural worker, he plays with great energy and great toughness. I think at the place where he’s at in his career we need to help him streamline his focus into what he has to do to get back to being be an every night rotation player." Hansbrough has been working on his mid-range jump shot in an effort to earn minutes, but his role will be very limited with Frank Kaminsky, Cody Zeller and Marvin Williams all vying for minutes.

Hornets sign F Tyler Hansbrough.

The Hornets have a very odd power forward rotation with Hansbrough, Marvin Williams, Frank Kaminsky and Cody Zeller. Hansbrough is just going to provide some depth and likely won't be too involved on the offensive side. He can be ignored in almost all leagues.

The Hornets have reportedly agreed to terms with free agent big man Tyler Hansbrough.

Hansbrough, who played for North Carolina in college, seems ready to join a somewhat crowded frontcourt that already includes Al Jefferson, Cody Zeller, Spencer Hawes and rookie Frank Kaminsky. Hansbrough averaged 11.0 points and 5.2 points during the 2010-11 season but his stats have trended down ever since, and he'd be unlikely to earn more than 15-20 minutes per game coming off Steve Clifford's bench.

Tyler Hansbrough was a non-factor during Tuesday's lopsided defeat, going scoreless with one personal foul and no other stats to his credit in 12 minutes of action.

Amir Johnson had 10 points and five rebounds in 19 minutes off the bench, and the Raptors' obvious need for a shake-up could move Johnson back into the starting lineup on Friday. Hansbrough isn't a viable fantasy option regardless of where he starts Game 3.

Tyler Hansbrough started on Saturday against the Wizards and played just 13 minutes, scoring four points with one block.

He didn't grab any rebounds and didn't play in the final 26 minutes of this game. It's safe to assume Hansbrough won't be starting on on Tuesday for Game 2.

Tyler Hansbrough will continue to start over Amir Johnson against the Wizards on Saturday.

Johnson recently returned from an ankle injury and has come off the bench for the last two games, but it is a little surprising to see head coach Dwane Casey go with Psycho T again. Johnson should still see minutes in the mid-20s, but owners in daily leagues should probably avoid both players for now. Hansbrough started the last six games of the regular season, so the Raptors are probably just looking for some continuity.

Tyler Hansbrough started Tuesday's game in place of Amir Johnson but finished scoreless with six rebounds and two blocks in 23 minutes of action.

The Raptors have the Atlantic Division wrapped up but tonight's loss dropped them a full game behind the idle Bulls for the No. 3 seed. Hansbrough is likely to slide back to a reserve role on Wednesday and tonight's dud should be enough incentive to avoid him in all fantasy formats.
Tue, Apr 14, 2015 10:32:00 PM

Tyler Hansbrough scored just two points against the Heat on Saturday with 10 rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes.

He had a bloody nose tonight and he had a little trouble with Hassan Whiteside. Amir Johnson would have played in a playoff game and he's been going through shootaround, so he has a very good chance to play on Tuesday. Even if Amir is out, it's hard to keep Hansbrough on your roster with two whole days off in daily season-long leagues.
Sat, Apr 11, 2015 10:49:00 PM

Tyler Hansbrough scored 16 points with seven rebounds, one assist, two steals and no turnovers in 36 minutes against the Magic on Friday.

Amir Johnson (ankle) went through shootaround today and is expected to play on Saturday. Hansbrough averaged 15.0 points and 10.0 boards in his previous two games, but he will likely take a backseat on Saturday. If you've enjoyed his last three, you can probably make a proactive cut here.
Fri, Apr 10, 2015 10:11:00 PM

Tyler Hansbrough played a team-high 37 minutes against the Hornets on Wednesday with 12 points, 12 boards, and two blocks.

Jonas Valanciunas was in foul trouble, so Hansbrough was the main big man tonight. He's playing some of the best ball in his Raptor days with an 18-point, eight-board game coming on Saturday. Amir Johnson will likely miss more time, so give Psycho T a look as long as you're not expecting a line this good.
