Lester Hudson was re-signed by the Clippers because Doc Rivers likes his defense.
"I liked his toughness," Rivers said. "I like his defense. He has a chance to be a really good defensive player in our program." Hudson was chosen over fan favorite Nate Robinson, but he's not going to have a real role once the playoffs begin. Apr 13 - 10:44 AM

The Clippers will sign Lester Hudson.

He will likely be available for Saturday against the Grizzlies, but the Clippers won't need him. Hudson is not worth owning in any league unless coach Doc Rivers rests multiple guards.

The Clippers have let Lester Hudson's 10-day contract expire, and they are reportedly going to decide between him and Nate Robinson before the end of the season.

Head coach Doc Rivers said they will fill the final roster spot for sure, but one would think that they will likely prefer to bring back Robinson if his knee shows improvement. We will watch this story closely, but owners in deeper fantasy leagues should move on at this point.

Lester Hudson played 15 minutes against the Nuggets on Saturday, scoring four points on 1-of-5 shooting with three boards, one assist and three steals.

Hudson has never been shy on offense, but it's hard to judge him based on 15 minutes of action. There is no guarantee that he gets another 10-day contract and the Clippers are reportedly still keeping tabs on Nate Robinson, so owners in deeper leagues can monitor Hudson from the waiver wire for now.

Clippers G Lester Hudson played one minute without any stats to his credit during his debut on Sunday.

This sums up Hudson's lack of value and he's nowhere near having fantasy relevance.
Mar 29 - 9:09 PM

The Clippers signed G Lester Hudson to a 10-day contract on Sunday, and he will be available to play vs. the Celtics.

This news confirms that Nate Robinson will not be brought back for the remainder of the season, and it also had a lot to do with the fact that Jamal Crawford (calf) still has no timetable for a return. Hudson isn't shy on the offensive end, but owners in deeper leagues should see what kind of role he will have before making an add.

After receiving the award for Most Valuable Player of the Chinese Basketball Association, Lester Hudson is looking to return to the NBA, and has scheduled mini-camp workouts with NBA teams.

Hudson averaged 26 points, 7.8 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game while leading Xinjiang of China to the championship game. Last year, Hudson played for the Los Angeles Lakers summer league team, and was an invite to the Utah Jazz's training camp. Over the next month Hudson will workout for various NBA teams, and the Pacers have been reported as intrigued suitors. But for now, nothing is imminent.

Lester Hudson has received inquiries from the Knicks, Grizzlies, and Clippers about his availability.

Hudson has been playing with Xinjiang of the Chinese Basketball Association and helped lead the team to the second-best record in the league with averages of 26 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 5.0 assists. Xinjian's regular season ended February 16th, but Hudson won't be available to NBA teams until the CBA's playoffs are over. He won't serve as much more than bench depth for whoever he signs with, however, so fantasy owners can feel free to turn their attention elsewhere.

Lester Hudson inked a one-year deal with Xinjiang of the Chinese League.

Hudson played in China last year and hasn't seen any regular season NBA action since splitting time between Cleveland and Memphis in the 2011-12 season. Early in the preseason it appeared he had a shot to make the Jazz roster before he was derailed by an ankle injury.

Jazz waive G Lester Hudson.

He had some flashes this month with a couple hot scoring quarters, but he simply can't play point guard. The addition of Jamaal Tinsley spelled trouble for the former Cavalier and he'll likely have a tough time making a team out of the gate.

Coach Ty Corbin said he is still evaluating his point guard position.

He said he's still trying to figure out if Lester Hudson or Scott Machado can run the point, but it sounds like John Lucas III is out of the running. Hudson probably has the inside track, but his deficiencies as a passer could be his undoing. Tonight's game vs. the Lakers could be telling. This is hands-off territory in standard leagues for now.

Lester Hudson sat out of practice on Friday with an ankle issue.

It's terrible timing for an injury. He made a surge for minutes on Wednesday, clearly outplaying John Lucas III against the Blazers. Hudson had a couple bright spots in his career, headlined by his three consecutive games of 23 points or more in April 2012 with the Cavs. He could wind up getting minutes for the Jazz on opening night, but is far from a safe pick to take in most leagues.

Lester Hudson played 27 minutes against the Blazers on Wednesday and had nine points, four boards, one assist, two steals, one block and three 3-pointers.

He played down the stretch for the team in a close game, which is a bit telling since coach Ty Corbin went with most of his starters. Hudson played solid D and brought the ball up some of the time along with Alec Burks and Gordon Hayward. Burks and Hayward will likely continue to do much of the ball handling during the season while Trey Burke (finger) is out, so even if Hudson wins the job, his upside won't be too high. He's still on the radar, though.

Lester Hudson was one of several players to work out for the Knicks on Wednesday, according to multiple media reports.

Hudson played in China last season and reportedly fared pretty well. The Knicks are in search of some depth at point guard and have been linked to nearly every veteran FA on the market. Even if he signs, we don't expect Hudson to land the backup PG spot, but he would be an interesting camp watch. ESPN New York's Ian Begley reported the Knicks also worked out Bobby Brown, Sean May and DJ White on Wednesday.

Lester Hudson has signed in China.

Hudson's NBA future is in jeopardy after failing to receive much interest on the open market, and he likely made the jump overseas to pursue a larger role.
