Darrell Arthur (knee) won't play Wednesday vs. New Orleans.
Arthur is still recovering from knee surgery, and he recently experienced some swelling after going through a full practice on Monday, so he could miss a few more games. Once cleared, he'll likely be brought along slowly, so there's no reason to own him anywhere. Oct 26 - 12:46 PM

Darrell Arthur (knee surgery) is questionable to play in Denver's regular-season opener against New Orleans on Wednesday.

He still hasn't gone through a full practice, so chances are he'll spend Wednesday's game on the sidelines. Arthur is a non-factor in all leagues while the Nuggets are healthy.
Oct 25 - 3:27 PM

Darrell Arthur (knee surgery) was a limited participant during Sunday's practice.

Michael Malone is hopeful that Arthur will be able to ramp of his activities during Monday and Tuesday's practice, but he remains questionable for Denver's regular-season opener against the Pelicans on Wednesday. Arthur won't be on the court enough while the team is at full strength to justify a roster spot in fantasy hoops.
Oct 23 - 3:12 PM

Darrell Arthur (knee surgery) will not play on Friday vs. Dallas.

There was some hope that Arthur could go after he took some contact in Thursday's practice, but the Nuggets aren't going to take any chances. The Nuggets going with a big lineup of Nikola Jokic and Jusuf Nurkic hurts Arthur's outlook, especially since he's behind Kenneth Faried on the depth chart. Arthur can be considered questionable for the opener.
Oct 21 - 1:06 PM

Darrell Arthur (knee surgery) took some contact during Thursday's practice, and there's a chance he can suit up for Friday's preseason finale against the Mavericks.

Friday will mark Day-10 of Arthur's initial 10-14 day timetable, so if he wakes up feeling fine after going through Thursday's practice, he could certainly be on the floor Friday night. That being said, he's not going to have any value in fantasy hoops this season while the team is healthy.
Oct 20 - 7:09 PM

Darrell Arthur (knee surgery) said that he's hopeful he can get back on the court in 10-14 days.

Arthur is recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery, but he's hopeful that he can get a few practices in before the regular season begins. He's not worth drafting anywhere.
Oct 11 - 4:09 PM

Darrell Arthur (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's preseason game.

Arthur had his knee scoped in September and he was hoping to be ready "midway" through training camp, but we've yet to see him on the court. It would likely take a Kenneth Faried trade for Arthur to become a worthwhile target in standard leagues.
Oct 9 - 8:04 PM

Darrell Arthur (knee) will not play in Monday's preseason opener.

Apart from Arthur, every other player will be available. The Nuggets are hopeful that Arthur will be 100 percent in a couple weeks after he had his knee scoped in early September, but they aren't going to rush him back. If Kenneth Faried has a disappointing preseason, Arthur could be an interesting flier in deeper leagues.
Oct 1 - 1:38 PM

Darrell Arthur (knee) was a limited participant in practice on Friday.

The Nuggets are hopeful he'll be close to 100 percent in a couple weeks. Arthur had a knee scope earlier this month, which is somewhat concerning given his injury history. With all the depth on the Nuggets, expect Arthur to be eased back in over the next month.
Sep 30 - 2:18 PM

Nuggets head coach Mike Malone is happy that Darrell Arthur re-signed with the Nuggets.

Arthur could have likely got a few more dollars elsewhere, but re-signed with the Warriors due to his comfort with the team. He’s a guy that loves Denver," Malone said. "He wants to be here. Free agency came around, he told his agents ‘Listen, get it done with Denver. I don’t even want to talk to anybody else.’ He left millions of dollars on the table because he believes in what we’re doing. That makes you feel really good because Darrell Arthur is about all the right things." Arthur is stuck in a crowded Nuggets frontcourt and is only worth a look in deeper fantasy leagues at the moment.

Darrell Arthur (knee) said that he's hoping to be available for full practice about "midway" through training camp.

The Nuggets are loaded with frontcourt depth, but Arthur will likely have a role this season as one of Mike Malone's favorite players. Kenneth Faried may only see around 26 minutes per game and isn't a lock to start, so Arthur should at least see minutes in the teens -- his role hinges on how much time Nikola Jokic spends at the four next to Jusuf Nurkic. Arthur is only worth a look in deeper leagues for now, but that will change if he outplays Faried.
Sep 26 - 12:47 PM

Darrell Arthur (knee) is expected to be brought along slowly in training camp.

He had a knee scope a few weeks ago, so the Nuggets will keep restrictions on him for drills. Arthur has been injury-prone in his career with a slew of leg injuries, including knee injuries in December and April last season. Obviously, there's no need to rush him along with all of Denver's depth up front. Coach Mike Malone likes Arthur more than many expected, but he won't have much fantasy value.

Darrell Arthur passed on more lucrative deals in order to re-sign with the Nuggets.

"He told his agent early in the process that ‘I don’t want to talk to anyone the first couple of days, I want to get something done with Denver,'" Nuggets GM Tim Connelly said. After re-signing in Denver on a 3/$23M deal, Arthur projects to slot in as a versatile reserve in a deep Nuggets frontcourt.
Aug 20 - 4:29 PM

The Nuggets have agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent Darrell Arthur on a three-year deal for $23 million.

Coach Mike Malone fell in love with Arthur at times last year, so this isn't a surprise. It's a small positive that this deal is only three years given the vast injury history. Arthur is 28 years old and just played a career-high 21.7 minutes per game. He'll be a backup on a deep Nuggets team.
Jul 1 - 6:30 PM

The Wizards are interested in Darrell Arthur.

It makes sense with the Wizards likely going to need a backup behind Markieff Morris. Arthur had a very productive season with 70 games played and Nuggets coach Mike Malone trusted him a lot.
