Arthur has been dealing with back soreness since taking a hard fall in early March. He's averaging just 13.4 minutes per game in 16 games after the All-Star break.

Darrell Arthur will not play against the Kings on Sunday due to back soreness.

Arthur played just eight minutes on Friday, which was a little down from his average of 15 over his previous five. Ed Davis should get most of Arthur's playing time and could flirt with a double-double in 20 minutes.

Darrell Arthur shot 2-of-6 from the field for six points with four boards and one turnover in 19 minutes against the Wizards on Monday.

He put up 18 points in 29 minutes on Saturday, but he dropped off considerably tonight. Arthur is more of an offensive big man and he can create his own shot better than Ed Davis, but Davis has a bit of a higher upside with his solid shooting and shot-blocking prowess.

Darrell Arthur will start alongside Zach Randolph on Monday, with Ed Davis coming off the bench.

We still expect both Arthur and Davis to play enough minutes for fantasy value in standard leagues, and the starting gig makes Arthur an even more palatable spot-starter vs. a decimated Wizards team on Monday.

Darrell Arthur had 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting, seven rebounds, two assists and one steal in a rare start on Saturday, the result of Zach Randolph's late arrival for shootaround.

Memphis slapped Z-Bo with a minor penalty for his tardiness, but he'll send Arthur back to the bench on Monday when the Grizzlies face the Wizards in Washington. Arthur's role should still increase while Marc Gasol (abdomen) is sidelined, and he's at least worth monitoring in 12-team leagues.

Darrell Arthur didn't score in his return to the lineup on Friday.

He missed nine games with a neck injury and the Grizzlies haven't really missed him much going 7-2 in that span. Arthur plays just 17.0 minutes per game this year and doesn't have much value while Zach Randolph (14 points and nine boards in 28 minutes) and Marc Gasol (16 points, six boards, four assists, four steals and one block in 38 minutes) are healthy.

Darrell Arthur (neck) did not play on Wednesday because he suffered a setback in Tuesday's practice.

Arthur was expected to return on Wednesday, but following Tuesday's practice, Arthur had back spasms Wednesday morning and there is currently no timetable for his return and the Grizzlies will evaluate him on a day-to-day basis.

Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins says Darrell Arthur (neck, back) will not play Wednesday night.

Arthur had his first full practice on Tuesday since he was injured March 3. Still, it'll likely take another practice or two before he's ready to return to game action. Once he returns, Arthur's fantasy value will be pretty limited given his role as a bench player battling Ed Davis for minutes and opportunity.

The Grizzlies have gone 5-2 in Arthur's absence, leaning heavily on Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph, while giving Ed Davis more minutes off the bench. Arthur said he doesn't expect to play this week, so we're calling him doubtful to face the Thunder on Wednesday.

Arthur is "progressing," but he wants to return at full strength. "Hopefully, I can get back after this trip," he said. While Arthur is out, Ed Davis will be tasked to do a little more, but Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph will carry the heavy load.
