Darrell Arthur (knee) is traveling for Tuesday's game vs. the Clippers and is expected to play.
He suffered a knee injury on Saturday and has really struggled to stay healthy. Arthur's minutes will likely be capped around 20, so he's not a strong start on a two-game night. Apr 14 - 4:48 PM

Darrell Arthur left Saturday's game in the first quarter, possibly aggravating a knee injury.

His return is questionable, but it's fairly unlikely fantasy owners were counting on him tonight.
Apr 12 - 9:42 PM

Darrell Arthur played on Wednesday after missing Tuesday's practice due to a knee issue, scoring four points with three boards, one assist, one block and one steal in 18 minutes.

He's had a few issues in his career, most notably a torn Achilles back in 2011. Arthur was expected to see some extra playing time since J.J. Hickson (knee) and Wilson Chandler (groin) went down, but he's played just 18.8 minutes per game over his last five for averages of 6.0 points, 4.6 boards and 1.2 blocks. Chances are his lack of durability explains the low playing time and he's only a low-end option in fantasy right now.
Apr 10 - 12:19 AM

Darrell Arthur (knee) didn't practice on Tuesday but he's expected to play in Wednesday's game vs. the visiting Rockets.

This sounds like a precautionary day off for the six-year veteran, who is averaging 7.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.7 blocks in just 20 minutes per game this April. Roto league owners scouring the waiver wire for defensive stats should at least keep Arthur in mind.
Apr 8 - 4:42 PM

Darrell Arthur slipped in Monday's loss, scoring five points on 2-of-5 shooting with two rebounds and one three in 16 minutes.

Arthur had gained enough momentum to be watched in standard leagues but it's back to drawing board now. He'll need to string together a few good outings to climb back up the mountain.
Apr 1 - 2:19 AM

Darrell Arthur played 30 minutes against the Spurs on Wednesday with nine points, four boards, one assist, four steals and three blocks.

The defense was a surprise from DA, but the playing time is not. He's played 25.5 minutes per game in his last four and looks to be a main bench guy next to Aaron Brooks. Arthur hasn't shot the ball too well, but he has the potential to be worth owning in standard leagues.
Mar 27 - 1:34 AM

Darrell Arthur drained three 3-pointers on his way to 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals in just 25 minutes off Denver's bench on Sunday.

Arthur had a clear path to playing time with J.J. Hickson (knee) done for the season, Wilson Chandler (groin) day-to-day, and Jan Vesely leaving Sunday's game with a rib injury. He's scored double-digit points in three straight games and is worth a look given Denver's injury woes, especially since he's unexpectedly averaging 1.6 three-pointers over his past seven games.
Mar 23 - 7:53 PM

Darrell Arthur scored 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, two assists and one block in 28 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Arthur is posting some sneaky late-round value in 9-cat formats over the last eight games with averages of 16.3 minutes, 8.9 points, 1.0 threes, 2.6 boards, 0.9 steals, 0.8 blocks, 0.9 turnovers and 51.9 percent shooting from the field. Obviously that's small sample size theater but the injury to J.J. Hickson (knee) could open up more minutes and that makes him worth a look at least. Anthony Randolph (10 points, six boards, 16 minutes) is a cut or two below Arthur. The Nugs finish out with a 3-4-3 schedule.
Mar 22 - 1:46 AM

Darrell Arthur came out of nowhere with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting (including a three) and four steals in 24 minutes off the bench on Friday.

If he can do it again we'll let you know but one look at his game log will show why we're not biting on this even in the deepest of formats.
Mar 15 - 2:01 AM

Darrell Arthur (hip) returned from a three- game absence on Saturday with 12 points, three boards, two assists and one steal in 15 minutes.

He was starting for the Nuggets before the injury, but that probably won't be needed now that they have a point guard and they have some help on the wing. Arthur can be ignored in most formats.
Mar 2 - 12:40 AM

Updating a previous report, Darrell Arthur (strained hip) will reportedly "give it a go" vs. the Blazers on Saturday.

The Denver Post speculated that Arthur would likely sit out again, but play-by-play announcer Chris Marlowe heard differently before Saturday's shootaround. Wilson Chandler (knee) also remains questionable to face Portland, and owners should check back for updates following shootaround.
Mar 1 - 1:13 PM

Darrell Arthur (hip) is expected to miss his fourth consecutive game vs. the Trail Blazers on Saturday.

Arthur's absence has opened up more minutes for Jan Vesely and Anthony Randolph, neither of whom has done enough to provide temporary value in standard fantasy leagues. There is no timetable for Arthur's return, but he could make it back onto the court for Denver's home games on Monday or Wednesday.

Mar 1 - 11:18 AM

Darrell Arthur suffered a left hip strain on Friday and will not return.

There is an epidemic of hip injuries for big men these days and Arthur is just the latest one. He's played 20.5 minutes per game in his last two due to the Nuggets sliding Wilson Chandler to shooting guard. If you had him in your deep league, this might be your queue to let him go.
Feb 21 - 9:50 PM

Darrell Arthur will start at small forward for the Nuggets on Wednesday.

A smart move by coach Brian Shaw. The Nuggets have next to nothing at shooting guard after Quincy Miller's ugly game on Monday night. Plus, getting extra size in the lineup helps because of how the Nuggets have been abused in the paint. Arthur has been hurt a lot this season, so it's hard to imagine him getting a lot of minutes tonight. To be clear, the Nuggets will start him next to Randy Foye, Wilson Chandler, Kenneth Faried and J.J. Hickson.
Feb 12 - 6:59 PM

Darrell Arthur returned to action on Wednesday with seven points, one board and one 3-pointer in 17 minutes.

He hit a big corner three in the fourth quarter and played down the stretch as the Nuggets tried to come back. Arthur has been hurt too often and doesn't have a big enough role to matter in almost all fantasy leagues.
