Darrell Arthur (quad) is questionable for Monday's game vs. Brooklyn.
Denver's big men are healthy and the Nuggets are occasionally going small with Will Barton and Danilo Gallinari, so between that and Arthur's consistent health issues, his fantasy appeal is currently nonexistent. Feb 8 - 12:39 PM

Date:

Darrell Arthur (quad) will not play on Sunday vs. the Knicks.

Arthur just can't catch a break and hasn't been able to stay healthy this season. Kenneth Faried is healthy, so Arthur wouldn't have played much anyways. Expect Danilo Gallinari to play a lot of four against the Knicks as well.
Feb 7 - 11:40 AM

Darrell Arthur (quad) will not play against the Bulls on Friday.

He is hurt quite often and could miss more games. That means we should see some more Danilo Gallinari at the four, which means more run for Will Barton and Gary Harris. Arthur can be ignored in most leagues while he's hurt.
Feb 5 - 7:23 PM

Darrell Arthur (left quad) is doubtful to play Friday vs. the Bulls.

With averages of just 7.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, Arthur isn't worth owning in most leagues.
Feb 4 - 6:21 PM

Darrell Arthur (left quad soreness) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. the Jazz.

Staying healthy is a constant battle for Arthur, and he's been losing minutes to Kenneth Faried, Jusuf Nurkic and Nikola Jokic as of late. There's little incentive to own Arthur in most leagues.
Feb 3 - 12:53 PM

Darrell Arthur (quad) scored 13 points with four rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes against the Wizards on Thursday.

It's great to see him play despite being on the injury report, but Arthur isn't coach Mike Malone's favorite big anymore now that his younger guys are learning. Arthur is only worth a look in deep leagues.
Jan 28 - 11:06 PM

Darrell Arthur (sore left quad) will play Thursday vs. the Wizards.

He'll play, but he's not going to be a major part of the rotation tonight with Nikola Jokic, Jusuf Nurkic and Kenneth Faried all healthy and playing. Leave him on the wire.
Jan 28 - 6:15 PM

Darrell Arthur (sore left quad) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Wizards.

The Nuggets are dealing with a multitude of frontcourt injuries and Arthur could be in for big minutes if he's able to play and Nikola Jokic (knee) sits. Keep an eye on the situation as Kenneth Faried could see all the minutes he can handle if both players sit, while Jusuf Nurkic could also see an uptick in minutes.

Darrell Arthur has a sore left quad and did not play in the second half.

He has a ton of leg issues, so there's a good chance he's out on Thursday against the Wizards. That would mean a lot of Danilo Gallinari at the four and more of Kenneth Faried. Leave Arthur on the wire in most leagues.
Jan 27 - 10:37 PM

Darrell Arthur returned to the bench for Monday's game vs. the Hawks, scoring two points with two boards and one assist in 19 minutes.

Kenneth Faried (groin) returned to the lineup tonight, so Arthur is only going to see minutes in the teens moving forward. He is a drop candidate in most leagues.
Jan 26 - 12:41 AM

Darrell Arthur started in place of Kenneth Faried (groin) on Saturday vs. the Pistons, scoring four points with five boards, three assists and four steals in 32 minutes.

He shot 2-of-4 from the field and the minutes were nice, but it's unclear if Faried will miss any more action. Arthur was probable for this game due to a groin issue, but it's a good sign that he was able to handle such a heavy workload. For now, he is only on the radar in deeper leagues.
Jan 24 - 12:28 AM

Darrell Arthur (groin) will start on Saturday vs. the Pistons.

Arthur was originally listed as probable, but the Nuggets need him with Kenneth Faried (groin) on the sidelines. Arthur doesn't have any long-term appeal, so he's not a great add in most formats.
Jan 23 - 8:52 PM

Darrell Arthur (groin) is probable to play against the Pistons on Saturday.

Arthur has a lot of leg injuries, so his probable tag isn't quite as strong as most players. There's still a good chance he plays and he could also start in place of Kenneth Faried (adductor, questionable). Arthur is too injury prone to add in standard leagues unless Faried is out.
Jan 23 - 2:32 PM

Darrell Arthur shifted to the Nuggets' bench on Sunday where he posted seven points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 23 minutes.

Arthur has been effective in Denver's past five games, averaging 12.8 points on 58.3 percent shooting, 7.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 steals. That's been good enough for late-round value but he's unlikely to sustain it while his minutes are stuck in the 22-26 range.
Jan 17 - 11:12 PM

Darrell Arthur scored a team-high 18 points against the Heat on Friday with eight rebounds, one assist, two steals and one turnover in 30 minutes.

Coach Mike Malone loves Arthur more than he should and he better be careful given his injury history. Still, he should be getting a nice bump in minutes while Jusuf Nurkic (ankle, knee) is out, so he might have some value. Most owners should wait to see if he can do it again, though.
