Brett Brown indicated that he's leaning towards starting Jerryd Bayless at point guard for the 76ers this upcoming season.
Bayless should be able to nab the starting gig over Sergio Rodriguez, although most of the traditional point guard duties will fall upon Ben Simmons. Through 52 games last season, Bayless contributed late-round value in standard 9-cat leagues behind averages of 10.4 points, 3.1 assists, 1.9 triples and 1.4 turnovers per game, so he's on the radar as a potential late-round flier. The 76ers have agreed to a three-year, $27 million deal with Jerryd Bayless.

All three years of the deal are guaranteed. The 76ers finally have their starting point guard for the 2016-17 season, and Bayless could have some nice low-end fantasy value in Philly after averaging 10.4 points, 3.1 assists, 2.7 boards, 0.9 steals and 1.9 3-pointers in Milwaukee last season. He's not their point guard of the future, but the veteran should be able to hold down the fort for at least one season.
Jul 1 - 2:05 PM

Jerryd Bayless (knee) is out for Wednesday night against the Pacers.

It'll be Rashad Vaughn getting another start, but Tyler Ennis should get some extra run tonight. Bayless is an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Apr 13 - 6:33 PM

Jerryd Bayless (knee) could return on Wednesday vs. the Pacers.

Bayless will not play on Monday vs. the Magic, but coach Jason Kidd said he's feeling much better. Bayless will be a free agent this summer, so maybe he wants to get out there one last time to prove he's healthy again.
Apr 11 - 6:45 PM

Jerryd Bayless (knee) is listed as out for Monday against the Magic.

He is likely out for the season with only one more game after tonight. Tyler Ennis is getting big minutes and should have another chance for heavy run tonight.
Apr 11 - 2:06 PM

Jerryd Bayless (knee) is not with the Bucks on their three-game road trip.

The Bucks close the season with one last home game on April 13, but it's looking more and more likely that Bayless will miss the rest of the 2015-16 season. While he may play on April 13, Bayless can be dropped in all fantasy leagues at this point. Rashad Vaugh, Greivis Vasquez, and Tyler Ennis will all continue to benefit with extra minutes while Bayless is out.

Jerryd Bayless (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Cavs.

Rashad Vaughn will remain in the starting five sans Bayless, and there will be more minutes for Greivis Vasquez and Tyler Ennis. Ennis has been playing the best out of the group sans Bayless, so he could be someone to consider as a punt play in DFS. For now, we'll be considering Bayless questionable for Friday's game in Boston.

Jerryd Bayless (knee) is questionable to play against the Cavs on Tuesday.

He's missed the last two games since suffering his hyperextended knee on Wednesday. If Bayless can't go, Rashad Vaughn would likely get another start while Tyler Ennis plays more. Bayless can be dropped almost everywhere.
Apr 4 - 3:49 PM

Updating a previous report, Jerryd Bayless (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bulls.

He for some reason was listed as doubtful earlier, but never had a real shot of giving it a go. Jason Kidd said he didn't know Bayless' status beyond Sunday's game, so it sounds like he could certainly miss some additional time. Rashad Vaugn, Tyler Ennis and Greivis Vasquez will pick up some extended minutes sans Bayless. At this point in the fantasy season, Bayless can be sent to the waiver wire in most leagues.
Apr 3 - 5:56 PM

Jerryd Bayless (knee) is being listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against Chicago.

Bayless was being listed as "out" earlier, but now it seems there's a slim chance he's able to give it a go. The Bucks injury report is not often all that reliable, so we wouldn't count on him returning to action tonight. Rashad Vaugn, Tyler Ennis and Greivis Vasquez will all benefit in his absence.
Apr 3 - 2:44 PM

Jerryd Bayless (knee) will not play vs. the Bulls on Sunday.

He could be shut down for the season and wasn't playing well before the injury, so his owners should move on if they haven't already. With Bayless out, Rashad Vaughn, Tyler Ennis and Greivis Vasquez should all see some minutes in the rotation, but none of them are worth deploying in standard leagues.
Apr 3 - 9:25 AM

Jerryd Bayless (knee) is out against the Magic on Friday and Rashad Vaughn will get his first career start.

Bayless suffered a hyperextension and did not return. He will likely be out for multiple games and could be shut down. He can be dropped while Vaughn is still a risky player to use in most cases.
Apr 1 - 6:25 PM

Jerryd Bayless (mild right knee hyperextension) is doubtful for Friday's game vs. the Magic.

Bayless will be a free agent this summer and the Bucks aren't going anywhere this season, so they will be cautious. Tyler Ennis will likely draw the start on Friday, while Greivis Vasquez should see a boost in minutes as well. Bayless belongs on the wire.
Apr 1 - 10:31 AM

Jerryd Bayless (mild right knee hyperextension) will not return to Wednesday's game against the Suns.

He's had knee issues before and it sounds like the Bucks will be cautious. With Bayless out, there should be a few minutes headed to Greivis Vasquez and Tyler Ennis. Both aren't great option. Bayless' fantasy owners can probably cut him since he wasn't playing well anyway.
Mar 30 - 9:14 PM

Jerryd Bayless played 38 minutes on Sunday but scored only nine points with three rebounds, two assists, three steals and three 3-pointers.

Bayless is playing big minutes but his fantasy production has been muted because he's the fifth option offensively as a starter. He's worth owning as a source of 3-pointers and steals, with some supporting stats and the occasional nice scoring game, but keep your expectations in check.
