Jerryd Bayless scored 18 points (7-of-12 FGs) with one rebound, one assist, one steal and four 3-pointers in 30 minutes vs. Boston on Friday.
He's actually a good fit next to Ben Simmons because of his floor spacing, and the 76ers are content with bringing Markelle Fultz along slowly -- the rookie's shoulder also isn't 100 percent. Bayless isn't the most exciting fantasy option, but he's at least worth a look as long as he continues to start. Oct 21 - 1:19 AM

Jerryd Bayless had 13 points, three rebounds, three assists, three 3-pointers and one steal in 28 minutes as a starter on Wednesday.

The Sixers want plenty of shooting around Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, which might be why Bayless got the nod at PG ahead of Markelle Fultz. Their roles could easily flip if Fultz starts knocking down jumpers, and it's hard to get excited about Bayless' fantasy upside on a youthful Sixers squad. That said, he's worth a look in the unlikely even that his minutes settle in the 26-28 range.
Oct 18 - 10:13 PM

Jerryd Bayless will be in the starting lineup for Wednesday's season opener against Washington.

Joining Bayless in the starting five for tonight's game will be Ben Simmons, J.J. Redick, Robert Covington and Joel Embiid. Bayless will likely remain in the starting lineup until Markelle Fultz (shoulder) is fully up to speed, but it's tough to see him earning enough minutes to make a difference in most leagues.

Jerryd Bayless will likely be in the starting lineup for Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Wizards.

The 76ers will initially be bringing Markelle Fultz off the bench as he recovers from his shoulder issues, so it looks like Philly will be going with a starting five featuring Ben Simmons, Bayless, J.J. Redick, Robert Covington and Joel Embiid on opening night with Fultz and Dario Saric working with the second unit. Bayless probably won't be receiving many minutes as a starter, though, so he's not a great target in most settings.

Jerryd Bayless scored 15 points with three rebounds, three assists and three 3-pointers in 19 minutes against the Celtics on Friday.

It's no secret that the 76ers want shooters around Ben Simmons, so Bayless makes the most sense as a fill-in starter in the games Markelle Fultz (shoulder) sits out. Fultz should be fine and not playing today was precautionary, so Bayless isn't worth drafting in most leagues.
Oct 6 - 9:24 PM

Jerryd Bayless (wrist surgery) played 17 minutes on Wednesday, scoring four points with two rebounds and one assist.

Bayless checked in for Markelle Fultz, allowing him to play alongside Ben Simmons early in the game. The veteran gives Philly a steadying on-court presence, but his real-world value eclipses his dim fantasy appeal.
Oct 4 - 10:01 PM

The 76ers expect Jerryd Bayless (wrist surgery) to be ready for training camp, according to beat writer Tom Moore.

Bayless will resume scrimmaging this summer and should be ready for opening night, which is good news for Philly since they owe him a guaranteed $17.6 million through 2019. T.J. McConnell played well last season, however, and Ben Simmons will be assuming PG duties, so it's hard to expect anything from Bayless in fantasy leagues.
May 31 - 9:33 PM

Jerryd Bayless (left wrist) has been cleared to begin increasing his oncourt work.

Bayless missed all but three games this season after undergoing surgery on his left wrist in December, but it sounds like he isn't in danger of missing any time in 2017-18. Bayless is owed $17.6 million over the next two seasons, but he will have to earn every single minute next season with Ben Simmons expected to run the offense and T.J. McConnell proving that he's a capable role player in the NBA. Bayless is expected to be cleared for contact in May.
Apr 13 - 9:13 AM

Jerryd Bayless (left wrist) had surgery on Thursday and is expected to miss the rest of the season.

His wrist will be immobilized for 12 weeks due to a torn tendon. Bayless was likely going to be the starter for the 76ers, but his season will finish with just one start all year. With him out of the lineup, Sergio Rodriguez should see around 30 minutes per game as the starter and has solidified his value for owners who are OK with sub-par field goal percentage. T.J. McConnell will also stay in the rotation. Ben Simmons is making progress and is going to play point guard, so he could be in the mix down the line.

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will not play against the Raptors on Wednesday.

This will be the ninth straight game Bayless has missed due to the wrist injury. The status of Sergio Rodriguez (gastroenteritis) was in doubt, but it now appears he is expected to play Wednesday vs. Toronto, and will likely get the start. S-Rod has put up solid fantasy numbers as the starter, but his illness makes him a little trustworthy than usual. T.J. McConnell may see an uptick in minutes.

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will not play against the Pistons on Sunday.

This will be the eighth straight game Bayless has missed. Sergio Rodriguez will start once again. S-Rod has played well in place of Bayless this season. Rodriguez is averaging 9.1 points, 6.9 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 28.0 minutes in the 22 games he has started this season.

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will not play against the Pelicans on Thursday.

He didn't even travel with the team. The 76ers were listing Bayless as questionable last week for his wrist soreness, but they're ruling him out early for every game so far this week. Sergio Rodriguez will continue to start and get the lion's share of the PG minutes, so he's a hold in standard leagues until Bayless gets back on the court. T.J. McConnell will get the backup minutes.

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) and Jahlil Okafor (stomach bug) are not expected to travel with the team to New Orleans for Thursday's game against the Pelicans.

Both of these guys will spend Tuesday's game on the sidelines, and if Bayless can't give it a go Thursday, that'll be his sixth straight game on the sidelines and Okafor's third. Bayless is in danger of requiring season-ending surgery to correct his wrist injury, and he doesn't offer enough upside to hold onto in most scenarios. Sergio Rodriguez has been playing well as a starter, so he's worth a look as an assists specialist in standard leagues. Joel Embiid (rest) will be back in action on Thursday, so Okafor's absence won't mean much.

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will not play on Tuesday vs. the Grizzlies.

This will be the fifth straight game Bayless has missed due to the wrist issue. Sergio Rodriguez will once again start for the Sixers, with T.J. McConnel backing him up. Rodriguez has played well as a starter. Over his five games, he is averaging 12.6 points, 7.2 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 3-pointers and 1.8 assists. With only nine available players Tuesday night, Rodriguez and the rest of the healthy Sixers will see plenty of playing time, making S-Rod an intriguing DFS and streaming option.

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will not play on Monday vs. the Wizards.

Bayless hopes to avoid season-ending surgery, as he wants to see how his wrist responds to his recent platelet-rich plasma injection. With Bayless out, Sergio Rodriguez will draw another start and will be a nice source of assists, while T.J. McConnell will handle the backup duties. For now, Bayless is day-to-day and is only a hold in very deep leagues.
