Jerryd Bayless scored two points with three rebounds, three assists and two steals in 19 minutes against the Cavs on Saturday.
With Robert Covington (back) getting hurt today, it's possible the 76ers would consider starting Bayless and shifting J.J. Redick to the three like they did on Thursday. If T.J. McConnell comes back, that'll probably negate Bayless' appeal as a pickup, so there's really no need to pounce on Bayless until we get more information on those two. Dec 9 - 10:47 PM

Date:

Jerryd Bayless hit 5-of-9 shots and two 3-pointers for 12 points, four rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes of a start against the Lakers.

Bayless got the call with Dario Saric out and started at shooting guard. Starting or not, Bayless is not a fantasy option right now.
Dec 7 - 10:53 PM

Jerryd Bayless will shift into the Sixers' starting lineup on Thursday.

Dario Saric (eye) is out tonight and Philly is going with Bayless alongside J.J. Redick, Robert Covington, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. They will have T.J. McConnell (shoulder) available tonight, however, so Bayless doesn't have much upside even as a streaming option.
Dec 7 - 6:31 PM

Jerryd Bayless scored 10 points with four rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes against the Celtics on Thursday.

It's the most minutes he's played since returning from injury back on Nov. 20, and obviously this is because T.J. McConnell (shoulder) didn't play. Ben Simmons logged 40 minutes and even Nik Stauskas was called on to offset the loss. Bayless isn't really worth adding unless it's for a very small short-term boost.
Nov 30 - 10:43 PM

Jerryd Bayless returned from a three-game absence with a wrist injury and came off the bench for five points and two rebounds in 16 minutes.

T.J. McConnell has been playing well as the backup point guard in Philly and it's possible Bayless has lost his job. He's not worth owning at this point, but just keep an eye on the situation to see who's getting the backup point guard minutes. McConnell played 34 minutes and hit 3-of-6 shots for eight points, three rebounds, five assists and a steal tonight.
Nov 20 - 9:49 PM

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) is available for Monday's game vs. the Jazz.

This was the expectation after coach Brett Brown said he was good to go after practicing on Sunday. Bayless could have restrictions and T.J. McConnell has looked solid as the backup PG, so most fantasy owners can use a wait-and-see approach here.
Nov 20 - 11:41 AM

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) is still listed as questionable for Monday's game vs. Utah.

Coach Brett Brown is expecting him to play and it's a good sign that Bayless was able to participate in Sunday's practice. If Bayless is able to play, that would eat into the minutes of guys like J.J. Redick, T.J. McConnell and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot. He's more of a deep-league fantasy asset and could be limited on Monday.
Nov 19 - 1:59 PM

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) has been ruled out of Saturday's game vs. the Warriors and is listed as questionable for Monday's game vs. Utah.

The questionable tag for Monday is a good sign, as it confirms that Bayless is moving in the right direction. He will eat into the minutes of J.J. Redick, T.J. McConnell and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot upon his return.
Nov 18 - 11:41 AM

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will not play against the Lakers on Wednesday.

The team announced he had swelling in his wrist a week ago, so he's likely going to be sitting out based on his problems with his wrist in the past. With him out, it's been Robert Covington, J.J. Redick, T.J. McConnell and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot getting some extra chances.
Nov 15 - 2:15 PM

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will not play on Monday vs. the Clippers.

He's also considered doubtful for Wednesday's game vs. the Lakers and doesn't have a timetable to return. T.J. McConnell will continue to see a bump in minutes in Bayless' absence and is averaging 6.4 points, 6.4 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.0 steals over his last five games.
Nov 13 - 2:03 PM

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will not play Saturday vs. the Warriors.

This will be the third straight game Bayless has missed. T.J. McConnell has seen a slight uptick in minutes with Bayless sidelined. Dario Saric, playing alongside Ben Simmons, has been the biggest beneficary. Saric has posted two straight double-doubles and is averaging 19.0 points and 10.0 rebounds over the Sixers last two games.
Nov 11 - 1:03 PM

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) is likely out against the Warriors on Saturday.

He is out indefinitely due to swelling in his left wrist. This is the second season in a row Bayless has dealt with wrist issues, so he could be out for several games. T.J. McConnell has filled in nicely and Dario Saric also benefits next to PG Ben Simmons.
Nov 10 - 4:20 PM

Jerryd Bayless is out indefinitely because the swelling in his left wrist has not gone down after bruising it during Friday's win over Indiana.

Bayless missed Tuesday's game and will also be sidelined for Thursday's game in Sacramento, but he'll be re-evaluated ahead of Saturday's matchup with the Warriors. "Right now, we are sort of just playing it by ear," head coach Brett Brown said of Bayless' injured wrist. "Right now, to stamp off on how soon he’ll be available, we don’t know that yet." Dario Saric should remain a starter for however long Bayless is out, and there will be more minutes for Timothe Luwawu and T.J. McConnell.

Jerryd Bayless is expected to miss the next few games as he rehabs his bruised left wrist.

This is the same wrist that forced Bayless to spend a majority of the 2016-17 season on the sidelines, although it's worth noting that he's simply dealing with a bruise and not torn ligaments. Still, the 76ers will play it very safe with Bayless, so he might not play again this week. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Justin Anderson and Nik Stauskas will pick up the slack in his absence, and T.J. McConnell will see an uptick in minutes.

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will not play on Tuesday vs. the Jazz.

He's experiencing some discomfort in his left wrist, so this is concerning -- it's the same wrist that he had surgery on and ended his 2016-17 season. X-rays were negative, but he's still waiting for the results of the MRI and CT Scans. T.J. McConnell looks like a solid speculative pickup for PG-needy owners.
