Milwaukee Bucks sign G Jerryd Bayless.
The deal is $3 million for two years, fully guaranteed. "This is a new opportunity and a new situation. I'm excited to be a part of this community," Bayless said during a media session. He averaged 9.1 points over 72 games with the Grizzlies and Celtics last season, but will be hard-pressed to find enough minutes to contribute in standard fantasy leagues. Jul 31 - 11:59 AM

The Bucks are close to signing veteran guard Jerryd Bayless, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.

Bayless spent last season with both the Grizzlies and Celtics, averaging 9.1 points over 72 games. He would likely go to Milwaukee as the primary back up to point guard Brandon Knight, providing some offense off the bench. This move also indicates that free agent Ramon Sessions will not be returning to Milwaukee next season. Bayless' ability to contribute to multiple categories is limited and he should not be on fantasy radars heading into next season.
Jul 16 - 9:11 AM

Jerryd Bayless (knee) will not play against the Wizards on Wednesday.

There is nothing structurally wrong with Bayless' knee, but this injury has cost him the final three games of the season. He'll head into the summer as a free agent and will likely have less value than he did this season. Expect Phil Pressey and Avery Bradley to carry the load in the backcourt.
Apr 16 - 5:42 PM

Jerryd Bayless (knee) is unlikely to play against the Wizards on Wednesday, according to coach Brad Stevens.

He was ruled out for Monday's game very early and his knee injury from Friday has already cost him one game. Bayless was brought on the team more for his contract, but he played fairly well in his 41 games with the Celtics. Avery Bradley and Phil Pressey will get some extra run.
Apr 14 - 5:50 PM

Jerryd Bayless (knee) didn't travel with the Celtics for Monday's game in Philly.

Bayless was recently scheduled to have an MRI but the test results haven't been announced, and for now we're considering him questionable to return on Wednesday. Avery Bradley will continue to dominate minutes at SG in his absence.
Apr 14 - 11:23 AM

Jerryd Bayless will have an MRI on his right knee and won't travel with the team for Saturday's game vs. the Cavs.

If the MRI goes well, he could join the team in time for the game. Of course, things don't sound very encouraging at this point and we would consider Bayless doubtful. If he's out, the Celtics might be looking to get huge minutes out of Avery Bradley and Phil Pressey. Rajon Rondo missed Friday due to a shin injury and is questionable.
Apr 11 - 11:37 PM

Jerryd Bayless suffered a right knee sprain on Friday and will not return.

The team only needed about five minutes to rule him out following the injury, so that doesn't bode well for his outlook on Saturday night. Rajon Rondo (shin) is also out, so the Celtics might have to get a lot out of Phil Pressey and Avery Bradley. Bayless finished with two points, one board and two assist sin 19 minutes.
Apr 11 - 9:36 PM

Jerryd Bayless scored a team-high 25 points against the Pistons during Saturday's 115-111 loss, adding four boards, three assists and five 3-pointers.

The Celtics were missing Avery Bradley (Achilles) on top of Rajon Rondo (rest) tonight, so Bayless was the primary backcourt option. Like most of his career, there have been some peaks and valleys this season, so potential owners shouldn't put too much stock into this line. Chances are Bradley could be back for Boston's next game on Wednesday.
Apr 5 - 10:19 PM

Jerryd Bayless scored 23 points on 8-of-20 shooting with five threes, two boards, two assists, six turnovers and one steal in Friday's loss to the lowly Sixers.

Bayless logged 38 minutes and with Avery Bradley's (ankle/Achilles) season in jeopardy he's worth a hard look by owners right now. We can't guarantee his consistency, but the Celtics could ride him hard to end the year.
Apr 4 - 11:59 PM

Starting at shooting guard, Jerryd Bayless had just two points and one assists in Wednesday's loss to the Wizards.

Bayless and the entire starting unit struggled, so coach Brad Stevens went with a bench mob for much of the game. We still think Bayless will continue to start as long as Avery Bradley (Achilles) is sidelined. He came into this one averaging 11.9 points, 2.9 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 16 starts.
Apr 2 - 11:19 PM

Jerryd Bayless will slide over to shooting guard against the Wizards on Wednesday.

He started at point guard on Monday night while Rajon Rondo (rest) was out, and now he'll start in place of Avery Bradley (Achilles). There's a decent chance Bradley misses more time, so fantasy owners can give Bayless a look for some points and triples.
Apr 2 - 6:22 PM

Jerryd Bayless scored 18 points on 6-of-14 shooting with four threes, two boards, five assists and one steal in fill-in duty for Rajon Rondo (rest) on Monday against the Bulls.

Bayless is worth a look whenever Rondo is out and that's about it in most leagues, though he'll get added consideration if Avery Bradley's balky right ankle keeps him out.
Apr 1 - 12:56 AM

Jerryd Bayless scored 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting (including two threes) with one rebound, three assists and a steal in 26 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Bayless got hot and put up some numbers but hasn't shown any real consistency this season. He'll be worth a look as a spot play when Rajon Rondo rests and that's about it in most formats.
Mar 28 - 9:33 PM

Jerryd Bayless will come off the bench on Wednesday vs. the Heat.

His minutes, shooting percentage and overall stats are down when he comes off the bench, so there should be some lowered expectations against Miami. Avery Bradley played 36 minutes on Monday and Rajon Rondo played 45 minutes on Sunday, which means Bayless is likely looking at minutes at the low 20s tonight.
Mar 19 - 6:00 PM

Jerryd Bayless started for resting Rajon Rondo in Monday's loss to the Mavs, scoring 19 points on 6-of-16 shooting (including three treys) with three rebounds, six assists and one steal in 35 minutes.

Bayless can fill it up like this when starting at the point but chances are he will go back to being a deep league asset at best when Rondo returns from his one-game absence.
