Jerryd Bayless (wrist) was available to play on Wednesday but he didn't leave Philly's bench.
The veteran guard hadn't played since Jan. 18 and it's not shocking that he was a DNP tonight, especially with J.J. Redick (leg) back in action. "That's [coach Brett Brown's] decision," Bayless said after the game about his DNP-CD. "I don't know. It's unfortunate, but it's his decision." Bayless obviously belongs on the waiver wire. Date:

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will be available to play Wednesday vs. Brooklyn.

It looks like Bayless will be returning from a six-game absence tonight, but that doesn't mean much with J.J. Redick (leg) also getting back out there. On the season, Bayless owns meager averages of 8.3 points, 1.4 assists, 1.5 triples and not much else on 41.9% shooting.

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) is targeting Monday for a return.

His wrist injury has been the biggest problem in his 76ers career and the team will be careful with him. Timothe Lawawu-Cabarrot and T.J. McConnell will benefit the most.
Jan 26 - 8:30 PM

Jerryd Bayless (sore left wrist) will not suit up for Wednesday's game against the Bulls.

This will mark Bayless' third straight game on the sidelines, and with J.J. Redick (leg) and T.J. McConnell (personal) also unavailable, guys like Timothe Luwawu and Justin Anderson could be forced into heavy minutes tonight, with Luwawu being the preferable fantasy target. For now, we'll be considering Bayless questionable for Friday's game in San Antonio, but there's no reason to roster him while he's injured.
Jan 24 - 11:44 AM

Jerryd Bayless (sore left wrist) has been ruled out for Monday's game in Memphis.

This will be Bayless' second straight game on the sidelines, and with both him and J.J. Redick (leg) unavailable, Timothe Luwawu should be looking at another start with T.J. McConnell flirting with minutes in the 30s, and both those guys are on the radar as deep league streamers. After Monday's game the 76ers will take on the Bulls on Wednesday, and for now, we'll consider Bayless questionable for that one.
Jan 22 - 2:22 PM

Jerryd Bayless (sore left wrist) has been ruled out of Saturday's game vs. Milwaukee.

Bayless missed six games back in November due to pain in this same wrist. Hopefully, the injury won't linger as long this time around. The Sixers are also missing J.J. Redick (left leg), so Philly's backcourt will have very little depth on Saturday. It sounds like Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot has been tabbed to slide into the starting lineup to replace Bayless. However, T.J. McConnell is arguably the more attractive streamer and DFS target on Saturday, as he'll log plenty of minutes off the bench.
Jan 20 - 11:25 AM

Jerryd Bayless scored four points with two rebounds, two assists and one turnover in 25 minutes against the Celtics on Thursday.

Coach Brett Brown said Bayless would get the first shot to take J.J. Redick's spot in the first unit, and so far it's worked out with the first unit faring well today. However, he's not going to get enough shots or minutes to have consistent value in most leagues. Plus, he won't be doing much outside of shooting jumpers.
Jan 18 - 9:49 PM

Brett Brown hinted that Jerryd Bayless will be in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Celtics, with J.J. Redick (leg) unavailable.

Brown said that Bayless will be "first up" to fill Redick's spot, and said he'll also try to find more minutes for guys like Timothe Luwawu and Justin Anderson. As a starter this season, Bayless owns averages of 11.0 points, 2.1 triples and 1.5 assists per contest on 44.9% shooting, so he could be someone to think about as a deep league streamer on Thursday.

Jerryd Bayless returned to the bench on Monday with J.J. Redick (hamstring) active, finishing with eight points, one 3-pointer, two rebounds, two assists and one block in 24 minutes.

As a reserve this season, Bayless owns meager averages of 8.1 points, 1.6 assists, 1.4 triples and not much else on 37.5% shooting, so he can't be considered a viable target in most settings.

Jerryd Bayless scored six points with one rebound and one 3-pointer in 24 minutes against the Raptors on Saturday.

Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot was the guy who stepped up the most with J.J. Redick (back) out today, but last time it was Bayless with his 11 points. Either way, this really isn't a great situation to pursue in fantasy until Redick gets back.
Sat, Dec 23, 2017 08:39:00 PM

Ben Simmons, Jerryd Bayless, Robert Covington, Dario Saric and Joel Embiid will start against the Raptors on Saturday.

The 76ers announce their starting five later than usual and they didn't post it with one of their fancy GIFs like they normally do. Bayless should be looking at minutes in the 30s and could be used as a streamer tonight.
Sat, Dec 23, 2017 04:56:00 PM

Jerryd Bayless hit 5-of-13 shots and 1-of-7 3-pointers for 11 points, one rebound, one assist and four steals in 34 minutes of Thursday's loss.

He started for J.J. Redick (hamstring) and the four steals helped make up for the poor shooting and relatively low scoring. He was worth a flier in DFS tonight, but isn't a player worth targeting in standard leagues unless Redick's injury ends up keeping him out for an extended time period. And even then you can probably do better than Bayless.
Thu, Dec 21, 2017 10:05:00 PM

Jerryd Bayless will start Thursday's game in place of J.J. Redick (hamstring tightness).

In eight starts this season, Bayless has averaged 11.6 points on 47.8 percent shooting, 2.4 triples, 3.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.6 steals. He's worth a look for streaming and DFS value, while T.J. McConnell should also pick up extra minutes off the Sixers' bench.
Thu, Dec 21, 2017 05:32:00 PM

Jerryd Bayless came off the bench for 15 points, four 3-pointers, three rebounds and one steal in 26 minutes on Tuesday.

J.J. Redick exited early tonight with tightness in his right hamstring, allowing Bayless to earn more playing time at shooting guard. He's running hot over the past three games with 13.0 points and 3.7 triples, but does so little elsewhere that a bad shooting night would tank his value. He's nothing more than a fringe specialist in deep leagues.
Tue, Dec 19, 2017 11:33:00 PM

Jerryd Bayless scored two points with three rebounds, three assists and two steals in 19 minutes against the Cavs on Saturday.

With Robert Covington (back) getting hurt today, it's possible the 76ers would consider starting Bayless and shifting J.J. Redick to the three like they did on Thursday. If T.J. McConnell comes back, that'll probably negate Bayless' appeal as a pickup, so there's really no need to pounce on Bayless until we get more information on those two.
