Kosta Koufos scored eight points with six rebounds and two blocks in 21 minutes against the Nuggets on Thursday.
That's about what to expect from Koufos going forward. His upside just isn't attractive enough to own in standard leagues, but he could be a low-end deep guy for desperate owners. Feb 24 - 1:35 AM

Kosta Koufos started vs. the Warriors on Wednesday but had only one point, two rebounds, one block and four personal fouls in 11 minutes.

Koufos was similarly quiet in his last game vs. the Warriors -- it's not a good matchup for him, and tonight was a perfect storm with both foul trouble and a blowout conspiring against him. Willie Cauley-Stein is gaining traction and there's no reason to own Koufos in typical leagues.
Feb 16 - 1:19 AM

Kosta Koufos (finger) played 18 minutes on Friday vs. the Hawks, scoring two points on 1-of-4 shooting with four boards, one assist and two steals.

His right ring finger was very swollen on Wednesday, so he's fortunate that he was able to play tonight. To be clear, he doesn't have much fantasy value anyways and Willie Cauley-Stein could be coming for his minutes soon.
Feb 11 - 1:24 AM

Kosta Koufos played through a finger injury on Wednesday, finishing with six points, 11 rebounds, three assists and one steal in 27 minutes of action.

Click the link below for a picture of Koufos' right ring finger, which was incredibly swollen after the game. There's no suggestion that he'll miss any time, but it wouldn't be a surprise and we'll add him to the injury report as a precaution.
Feb 9 - 2:01 AM

Kosta Koufos scored three points with three rebounds, one assist and one block in 12 minutes against the Hornets on Saturday.

He may have had his best game on Friday, but was just out of it today. Koufos has one of the lowest fantasy ceilings among starters in the NBA, so he's really just a desperation guy to use for an injured team in deep leagues when he has four games. They do have four games this week.
Jan 28 - 10:09 PM

Kosta Koufos scored nine points with 12 rebounds in 28 minutes against the Pacers on Friday.

It was one of his best games after playing just 16.0 minutes per game in his previous two. While this starting lineup with Koufos was a disaster earlier this year, it has been solid lately. He is only for extremely deep leagues due to an extremely low upside and being matchup dependent. He has very little stash potential.
Jan 28 - 12:07 AM

Kosta Koufos scored 11 points in a start with four rebounds and one steal in 24 minutes against the Pacers on Wednesday.

The Kings went big and it actually was working early with Koufos having a positive net rating in this game. Koufos could be asked to play more next to DeMarcus Cousins, but he'll likely be used situationally at best. He's only worth a look if you're desperate for a big man.
Jan 19 - 1:29 AM

Kosta Koufos will start and Anthony Tolliver will come off the bench on Wednesday against the Pacers.

Coach Dave Joerger is going with his older lineup, but it may be due to Ty Lawson (ankle) not playing. Leave Koufos on the wire.
Jan 18 - 10:34 PM

Kosta Koufos started Wednesday's game but he was benched to begin the third quarter, finishing with six points and four rebounds in 15 minutes.

The veteran's role has change repeatedly this season as coach Dave Joerger searches in vain for a winning combination. Koufos has been mentioned in recent trade rumors, but even if he's dealt he's unlikely to land in a fantasy-relevant situation.
Jan 5 - 2:20 AM

Kosta Koufos started and scored 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting in Tuesday's win over the Nuggets.

His 18 points were a season high, but it's no coincidence that he did it against his former team. Koufos added five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 29 minutes, but fantasy owners can comfortably leave him on the wire -- he averaged 4.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in his previous three games.
Jan 4 - 12:57 AM

Marc Stein of ESPN is reporting that the Rockets want to add a big man and Sacramento's Kosta Koufos is now a "prime target."

Koufos is averaging 5.9 points and 5.8 rebounds in 19.7 minutes per game for the Kings this season. If traded to Houston, Koufos might see a slight uptick in playing time initially, but would then get bounced to the bench once Clint Capela returned from his leg injury. Kosta would then have to split minutes with Montrezl Harrell and Nene.

Kosta Koufos scored six points on 3-of-3 shooting Sunday to go with nine boards, two steals and three turnovers in 23 minutes.

Koufos had a nice 16-point, 13-board double-double on Friday night, but as per usual he was unable to follow up that stat line with anything meaningful. Koufos has been getting some extra burn with Rudy Gay on the sidelines, but his minutes will largely be dictated by the matchup, making him an unattractive guy to own in standard settings.
Sun, Dec 18, 2016 06:58:00 PM

Kosta Koufos scored 16 points with 13 rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 30 minutes in Friday's 96-92 win over the Grizzlies.

Due to the matchup and injuries to Rudy Gay (hip) and Omri Casspi (illness), the Kings weren't able to play small tonight but it worked in their favor. He shot 7-of-11 from the field and the points and boards were both season highs. The blocks also matched his season high. He's scored 10+ points and grabbed 7+ boards in three straight games, so he could have some short-term value until the Kings get some bodies back.
Sat, Dec 17, 2016 12:45:00 AM

Kosta Koufos grabbed 11 rebounds in 19 minutes as a starter on Sunday, but he scored only two points on 1-of-7 shooting.

Kings coach Dave Joerger said the Kings should "play big a little more to deal with Knicks' length," which is likely why he stuck with Koufos as a starter. Sacramento once again was forced to rally back after digging an early deficit, as Joerger has yet to find sustained success with his rotations. Don't be surprised to see another lineup switch vs. the Mavs on Wednesday.
Sun, Dec 4, 2016 10:26:00 PM

Kosta Koufos started and played nine minutes against the Celtics on Friday, grabbing three rebounds and failing to score.

The Kings looked bad with their big lineup as per usual. Coach Dave Joerger wants to try to get his old style in Memphis going here, but he just doesn't have the personnel for it. Koufos has extremely low upside.
