"I'll probably end up doing Summer League with Phoenix and just use that as another opportunity to show what I can do and go do what the coaching staff asks. I'll do whatever I need to do to stick around," he said. Suns G Jerel McNeal played two minutes on Sunday before NBA officials ruled him ineligible because he wasn't listed on Phoenix's active roster.

"It crushed me when it happened," McNeal said. "I thought [the official] was joking ... It was pretty disappointing but at least we get one more chance to go out and hopefully I'll be on the roster for [Tuesday's] game." This is a tough break for the 27-year-old rookie, who should get a shot at solid minutes during the Suns' season finale vs. the Clippers.

McNeal inked a 10-day contract and he'll take over the slot formerly occupied by A.J. Price. He's been playing for the Bakersfield Jam in the D-League this season, where he's averaging 18.5 points, 1.1 threes, 4.0 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.1 steals in 32 minutes per game. He won't be a fantasy asset even if Brandon Knight (ankle) is forced to miss more games.
