Henry Walker made his ninth start of the season on Sunday, posting six points, five rebounds, one assist and one block in 34 minutes during Miami's win vs. the Pistons.
Walker gives the Heat some much-needed frontcourt depth without benefiting fantasy owners -- his 34.3 percent shooting is reason enough to avoid him in standard leagues. Owners looking for a cheap daily-league option should monitor Miami's injury report, however, as Walker may be forced into a 35-minute role on Tuesday. Mar 29 - 9:10 PM

Henry Walker scored 12 points with nine rebounds, five assists, four steals and four 3-pointers in 40 minutes against the Hawks on Friday.

Udonis Haslem played 38 minutes on Wednesday and now Walker gets 40 minutes tonight. This is your 2014-15 Miami Heat right now. Walker has buried at least three 3-pointers in four of his last five, averaging 8.4 points, 4.8 boards, 1.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.8 treys in that span. He's worth a look in standard leagues, especially with Dwyane Wade dealing with a knee issue.
Mar 27 - 11:49 PM

Henry Walker started for Dwyane Wade (knee) and hit 4-of-8 3-pointers for 12 points, four boards and two assists in Wednesday's win.

James Ennis had six points and six rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench, and Tyler Johnson added 12 points, four rebounds, two steals and a block in 20 minutes. Wade is day-to-day with his injury, and we expect this trio to continue to chip in as long as he's out. Unfortunately, none of them can be trusted in fantasy, even when Wade is out.
Mar 26 - 12:47 AM

Henry Walker will start against the Celtics on Wednesday with Michael Beasley coming off the bench.

The Heat desperately need some scoring punch off the bench, so expect to see a lot of Beasley. He's also likely going to be a backup center fort Miami tonight. Walker is still a low-end option with Beasley offering the higher upside.
Mar 25 - 7:15 PM

Heat F Henry Walker missed all six of his shot attempts vs. the Thunder, finishing scoreless with four rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench.

More than three-quarters of Walker's shots come from beyond the arc, which makes him especially prone to boom-or-bust games offensively. He's foul-prone and has scored 10+ points just once in the month of March, so there's no reason to own him despite his steady minutes in Erik Spoelstra's second unit.
Mar 22 - 6:02 PM

Henry Walker scored eight points on 3-of-12 shooting (2-of-9 from deep) with two rebounds, two assists and four steals over 22 minutes in Friday's loss to the Raptors.

Walker has been a top 50-70 value this past week, averaging 7.5 points with 1.5 treys, 3.8 boards, 2.5 steals and 0.8 blocks while hitting a lower-volume 35.7 percent of his shots. The defensive numbers are outliers over his career marks, but the system has done him well in Miami as he has a combined 1.6 steals and blocks over his last 11 contests. We don't know if he can keep it up but he is setting himself up as a guy to watch.
Mar 13 - 11:33 PM

Henry Walker has reportedly signed a contract with the Heat that will keep him with the team for the remainder of the season.

Walker is averaging 8.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.9 three-pointers with Miami this season, so while he can be viewed as a 3-point specialist in deep leagues, he doesn't belong on a roster in standard leagues.

Henry Walker's second 10-day contract expires on Thursday, so the Miami Heat will now need to decide whether they will release him or sign him for the remainder of the season.

Walker has been an effective bench player for Miami this season, averaging 8.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.9 three-pointer per game through 27.4 minutes of action. He is currently traveling with the Heat to Toronto for Friday's game, which is a positive sign for his chances to remain with the team. However, at best, Walker can be viewed as a 3-point specialist in deep leagues. If he is not retained, Michael Beasley would likely pick up most of his minutes.
Mar 12 - 4:32 PM

Henry Walker was ejected on Monday against the Celtics, finishing with two points and four boards in 25 minutes.

He also suffered a minor ankle injury and did return. Walker is unlikely to get suspended for this infraction, so he could see even more minutes with the Heat possibly missing Hassan Whiteside, Chris Andersen and Udonis Haslem. If you need treys, give him a look in deep leagues.
Mar 9 - 11:31 PM

Henry Walker scored eight points with four rebounds and two 3-pointers against the Wizards on Friday during a 99-97 loss.

Luol Deng (thigh) and Dwyane Wade (hip) were out tonight and the Heat are now one of the thinnest teams in the NBA. In fact, Chris Andersen and Udonis Haslem were the only players on their team last year to get playing time tonight. The Heat might be tanking their talents to South Beach, so give Walker a look in deeper leagues if you need treys.
Mar 7 - 12:37 AM

Henry Walker will replace Luol Deng (thigh) in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Wizards.

Walker is capable of the occasional scoring outburst, and he'll have plenty of opportunity tonight with both Deng and Dwyane Wade (hip) on the shelf, so he's worth a look as a plug-and-play option in daily leagues. James Ennis and Michael Beasley will see extended minutes off the bench.
Mar 6 - 6:56 PM

The Heat have signed Henry Walker to a second 10-day deal.

Henry "Bill" Walker will remain with the Heat for at least the next 10 days and it would be a surprise if he doesn't stick of the rest of the season. Walker has averaged 9.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 2.2 treys over his last five games and is worth a look for fantasy owners in need of help in the three-pointer category.
Mar 3 - 12:56 PM

The Heat are expected to sign Henry Walker ot a second 10-day contract, sources told Real GM.

No surprise here. Bill.I.Am has made an impression during his short stint in Miami, and he'll continue to get a ton of opportunity with Chris Bosh out for the season and the Heat paper-thin behind Hassan Whiteside in the frontcourt.
Mar 2 - 1:11 PM

Henry Walker made his first start of the season on Saturday with 10 points, two rebounds, one assist and two turnovers.

He attempted 11 treys from behind the arc and coach Erik Spoelstra clearly wants to have him out there for spacing. Walker is actually on the radar in standard leagues and owners in deep leagues should give him a look, but he's still on a 10-day after all.
Feb 28 - 10:14 PM

Henry Walker will start at power forward against the Hawks with Udonis Haslem coming off the bench.

With Chris Andersen out, Haslem needs to play backup center for the Heat tonight. Walker has been on a roll lately and he's quickly already climbing into the conversation for 14-team leagues.
