Free agent PG Bobby Brown is scheduled to meet with the Knicks this week.
Brown worked out for the Knicks in mid-July, but left without a contract. He's since agreed to terms with a Chinese team but he can get out of the contract if he signs with an NBA team by August 15. The Knicks have also been linked to Mo Williams, Janerro Pargo and Beno Udrih over the last week. They're looking to spend a max of $1.4 million on a point guard to compete with Pablo Prigioni for minutes behind starter Raymond Felton. Tue, Aug 6, 2013 04:10:00 PM

ESPN's Marc Stein reports that PG Bobby Brown has agreed to a deal in China that includes an NBA out clause.

That means he can still play in the NBA this season if he signs with a team by Aug. 15, which is a possibility. The Knicks were looking at him recently, but there is still no word of where he might land if he is signed by an NBA team in the next couple weeks.

The Knicks worked out free agent Bobby Brown on Tuesday, and they may sign him as a third-string PG.

Brown is 28 years old and he's coming off an excellent year playing in the Euroleague, where he averaged 18.8 points and 5.3 assists. He played in the NBA from 2008-2010 with the Kings, Wolves, Hornets and Clippers, but he shot poorly and never averaged more than 15 minutes per game.

Hornets traded Bobby Brown to the Clippers for a conditional second-round pick in 2014.

The move puts the Hornets under the luxury tax. Brown appeared in just 22 games this season and will back up Baron Davis, Sebastian Telfair (when healthy) and JamesOn Curry in L.A.

The Hornets have reportedly traded Bobby Brown to the Clippers for a conditional second-round draft pick.

That should put the Hornets under the luxury tax, but Brown shouldn't have any more value in L.A. then he had in New Orleans.

Bobby Brown is currently backing up rookie Darren Collison at point guard for the Hornets.

He had 13 points and seven dimes on Saturday and could be a very sneaky fantasy play with four games this week. Collison's the starter, but Brown has more experience and could end up outplaying the rookie.

Hornets guard Bobby Brown chipped in 13 points, two rebounds and seven assists in 21 minutes off the bench on Saturday.

New Orleans will be looking for production wherever they can get it while Chris Paul is sidelined, so keep a close eye on Brown's minutes.

Bobby Brown came off the bench to score 16 points and hit two 3-pointers on 6-of-12 shooting Friday.

We're still not sure how he's doing it, but Brown is averaging 17 ppg over his last two. He's still not probably worth owning, but will be if he does this a couple more times. Keep an eye on him.

Bobby Brown came off the bench to score 18 points and hit two 3-pointers in 30 minutes of action in Wednesday's win.

We're not sure he can start at shooting guard, but the kid is obviously earning minutes from Byron Scott. Scott is on the verge of making a lineup change, and whether or not Brown starts, it looks like he is going to get minutes. Consider him in a deep league.

Bobby Brown has emerged as the backup point guard to Chris Paul, and had an active night Sunday against the Celtics scoring eight points on 3-of-12 shooting (2-of-7 from downtown) with one rebound, one assist, and one steal in 20 minutes off the bench.

This makes two games in a row that he's jacked up 12 shots, which is a surprising concept coming out of Chris Paul's backup slot, which has traditionally struggled offensively. Needless to say, there's not enough value here to warrant too much attention.

Beat writer Jerry Zgoda thinks that backup point guard Bobby Brown won't be on the roster by opening night.

Brown's playing time dwindled as the week went on at summer league. Zgoda thinks Brown will either be packaged in some kind of trade or simply have the last year on his contract bought out. With Ricky Rubio looking more and more likely to actually suit up in Minnesota this season, there's no place for Brown.

Timberwolves point guard Bobby Brown exercised his team option on Tuesday, meaning he'll be with the Wolves again next season.

He's not going to see much playing time with Sebastian Telfair, Jonny Flynn and possibly Ricky Rubio on board, but will get paid more than $700,000 next season.

Bobby Brown scored 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting (2-of-4 from downtown) with two rebounds, four assists, and two steals against the Thunder on Sunday.

Brown played just 15 minutes and scored all of his points during the fourth quarter, when the Wolves' bench brought them to within seven points after being down 31 points at the start of the quarter. Barring a shakeup in the Wolves' lineup, Brown will not likely have fantasy value this year.

Bobby Brown hit 6-of-8 shots and two 3-pointers for 15 points and three assists in Friday's loss.

The Wolves were crushed by the Blazers tonight and Brown got hot with Sebastian Telfair struggling. Telfair is still the starter, so we doubt Brown has any fantasy value.

Bobby Brown made his debut for the Timberwolves on Tuesday, scoring two points in five minutes.

Brown would need an injury to either Sebastian Telfair or Randy Foye to have any significant value and is not worth owning in most leagues.
