The Rockets are planning to re-sign Bobby Brown later this season, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo!
The Rockets waived Brown on Friday. Brown is currently in talks with teams in China, but the plan is reportedly for him to re-sign with Houston later in the year, and to play the remainder of the 2017-18 regular season and the postseason with the Rockets. There is very little fantasy fallout from this news, as Brown was averaging just 2.5 points in 5.8 minutes for the Rockets this season. Jan 6 - 1:35 PM

The Rockets are expected to waive Bobby Brown, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Rockets plan to guarantee Gerald Green's contract for the season. Minimal fantasy impact here, as Brown is averaging just 2.5 points and 5.8 minutes per game this season.

Bobby Brown scored 11 points in 22 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 103-89 loss at Memphis.

Brown hit 3-of-7 from long distance and he chopped in with a steal and just one turnover. Eric Gordon was sidelined with stomach problems, and the team waived Isaiah Canaan on Saturday, so Brown had plenty of opportunity. Still, he only worth a look as a 3-pointer option in the deepest of fantasy leagues at this point.

The Rockets and free agent G Bobby Brown have agreed to a deal, according to David Pick.

Brown returned to the NBA with Houston last season, averaging 4.9 minutes in 25 appearances. The 32-year-old guard will be fighting for a roster spot this offseason, but even if he makes the cut he won't have any fantasy appeal.

Bobby Brown scored 15 points vs. the Clippers on Monday with nine assists and three triples in 32 minutes.

The Rockets were blown out by 29 points, so there was plenty of garbage time tonight. Brown was coming off a 16-point game on Sunday with four 3-pointers and two assists, as he's been getting some extra burn lately with the Rockets resting their players -- Patrick Beverley and Lou Williams were both rested tonight. Unless the Rockets are missing most of their backcourt again on Wednesday vs. the Wolves, fantasy owners can look the other way.

Bobby Brown filled in for Eric Gordon (rest) on Sunday with 16 points, four 3-pointers, two assists and one rebound in 25 minutes.

The journeyman guard only saw such a robust role because Houston was resting Gordon, and Patrick Beverley got into some mild foul trouble. He's only worth a look for streaming value if Houston shuts down the bulk of their backcourt in one of their final two games.

Rockets sign G Bobby Brown.

He takes the spot of Donatas Motiejunas. Brown made the opening day roster based off his solid preseason, averaging 9.6 points per game. He likely won't be active most nights.

The Rockets will reportedly waive G Bobby Brown in order to make room for Donatas Motiejunas.

Brown played a total of 21 minutes through six appearances with the Rockets, so there's no fantasy takeaway here.

Bobby Brown has made the Rockets opening day roster.

Brown played well in the preseason, averaging 9.6 points per game, despite playing just 14 minutes a night. However, Brown has very little fantasy value heading into the regular season, as he will likely see limited playing time.

Bobby Brown has signed a training camp deal with the Houston Rockets.

Brown has had stints with the Wolves, Kings, Pelicans and Clippers, but he has been playing in China for a few years and spent last season in Turkey with Besiktas. The Rockets only have Patrick Beverley and Pablo Prigioni at point guard right now, so Brown has a slight chance to make the final roster.

Bobby Brown has been invited to mini-camps for the Pistons and Wizards, a source told international basketball writer David Pick.

Brown's pattern is predictable at this point: He flirts with an NBA return only to eventually head back overseas where he'll have a larger role and a solid payday. He's going to stay on the stateside radar so long as he continues to perform, but he'll be 32 before the 2016-17 season begins.

Bobby Brown will work out for the Lakers on Monday according to Jared Zwerling of Bleacher Report.

Brown could earn himself a training camp invite if he has a good showing on Monday, but he is not a lock to make the final roster by any means. He spent last season playing in China, but he hasn't been in the NBA since a brief stint with the Clippers in 2010. We will let you know if the Lakers bring him to camp, but he isn't on the fantasy radar.

The Wizards have interest in signing Bobby Brown.

He's likely just a backup plan to picking up a buyout guy or a cheap point guard in the trade market. Brown played well in China, scoring 31.3 points per game in 41 outings this season. He can be left on the wire in just about all leagues.

Bobby Brown is drawing interest from "several NBA teams," according to Real GM's Shams Charania.

Brown, now back from playing in China, could be an under-the-radar addition to a playoff contender's roster, but he's flirted with this path previously and hasn't been in the NBA since the 2009-10 season with the Clippers. Brown is extremely unlikely to come into fantasy value regardless of where he may land.

Bobby Brown has interest in joining the Cavs after his season in China concludes.

Brown raved about LeBron James, coach David Blatt and GM David Griffin. The Cavs are also interested in Will Bynum, but with both players unavailable until the Chinese season ends, it's possible Cleveland looks to go in another direction.
