Hamed Haddadi admitted that he's still not in basketball shape.
"I've got to do more running, more stuff," he said. "I need a couple more games to get in better shape." It's understandable considering Haddadi has suddenly played an important role for the Suns, but his run could be coming to an end with Jermaine O'Neal (personal) set to return on Wednesday. Hamed Haddadi scored a career-high 13 points on 4-of-7 shooting (5-of-5 FTs) with eight rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 18 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Nuggets.

Haddadi has shown he can put up serviceable numbers when given the minutes and it's entirely possible he gets minutes with just injury prone Jermaine O'Neal available as a real big man for the Suns. Owners needing a big man in standard formats can consider an add, and if he does it again with O'Neal back on Wednesday then he'll become a recommended pickup.
Mar 12 - 1:02 AM

Hamed Haddadi played a career-high 28 minutes off the Suns' bench on Saturday, scoring six points with 11 rebounds, one steal and three blocks.

Haddadi's energy and rebounding was a huge reason the Suns beat the Rockets tonight, even if he did miss all four of his free throws. He's likely to play substantial minutes as long as Marcin Gortat (foot) and Jermaine O'Neal (personal) are unavailable, but we'd only recommend him as a blocks specialist in deep leagues.
Mar 10 - 12:22 AM

Hamed Haddadi will be active against the Raptors on Wednesday.

The Suns are going to need all the help they can get at center with Jermaine O'Neal (personal) out of the lineup. Luis Scola and Markieff Morris should also pick up some minutes at center, so there's no reason to pick up Haddadi in any league.
Mar 6 - 7:55 PM

Hamed Haddadi is not in basketball shape after never reporting to the Raptors when he was traded as part of the Rudy Gay trade.

Haddadi, now with the Suns, will need some time before he's back into game shape. However, he does appear happy to be in Phoenix now. "There are a lot of Persians in Phoenix, and I got a lot of messages that they support me," he said.
Feb 25 - 9:54 AM

Hamed Haddadi has been traded from the Raptors to the Suns, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard.

The Suns recently waived Luke Zeller, but they may also waive Haddadi after giving him an audition for a few games. We're not biting on him as a fantasy option, even if he fights his way into Lindsey Hunter's rotation.
Feb 21 - 2:16 PM

"Rumbles persist" that Hamed Haddadi and a second-round pick will likely be sent to the Suns for Sebastian Telfair.

It's a trade that helps both teams with their depth issues but does nothing to excite fans or fantasy owners. If it goes down, neither guy is worth owning in fantasy leagues.
Feb 21 - 11:46 AM

Bryan Colangelo said Thursday he's uncertain if new addition Hamed Haddadi will be waived.

Haddadi was acquired along with Rudy Gay as part of three-team trade that sent Jose Calderon to the Pistons and Tayshaun Prince to the Grizzlies. There were reports Haddadi would be bought out in part due to his visa issues, but even if he sticks in Toronto, he'll only have minimal value in very, very deep leagues.
Jan 31 - 6:01 PM

Hamed Haddadi was traded to the Raptors in Wednesday's trade.

He scored a grand total of 15 points in 87 minutes in his season with Memphis. He'll gain some value and compete with Aaron Gray for minutes, but we're talking about very, very deep leagues here.
Jan 30 - 11:58 PM

Hamed Haddadi (hand) has been fully cleared to play and has no restrictions.

Haddadi had hand surgery in the offseason, but he'll be ready for training camp and will once again serve as depth behind Marc Gasol this season.

Grizzlies backup center Hamed Haddadi is recovering from hand surgery and should be ready for training camp.

Haddadi was shooting mid-range jumpers and looking good on Friday, which are good signs he'll be ready to back up Marc Gasol at the start of the season.

Hamed Haddadi is currently sporting a cast on his right hand after undergoing surgery in June.

Haddadi, who will receive a two-year deal with the second season partially guaranteed, is expected to be ready for training camp. The surgery was "to repair ligament and tendon damage from a non-basketball related injury" that he has been playing with since before his tenure in Memphis began. The cast should be removed at some point in August.

Grizzlies sign C Hamed Haddadi.

Terms of the deal haven't been disclosed, but it's expected to be a multi-year deal for around the veteran's minimum. Haddadi has played for Memphis throughout his four-year NBA career, providing good size and depth at the center position, but he's never been a fantasy consideration.

Hamed Haddadi is expected to be re-signed by the Grizzlies in the next "couple of days."

We noted that the Grizzlies were expected to re-sign Haddadi to a multi-year deal, and it should become official before too long. He has no fantasy value as an insurance policy behind Marc Gasol and has career averages of 2.1 points and 2.2 rebounds.

The Grizzlies are expected to sign C Hamed Haddadi to a multiyear deal on Thursday.

He'll back up Marc Gasol, just as he has in the past, but that doesn't mean he'll have any fantasy value. Haddadi averaged just two points and two boards in six minutes per game last season.
