Hasheem Thabeet was one of several high-profile names to work out for the Bucks at their free agent mini-camp this week.

Thabeet was joined by Trey Burke, MarShon Brooks, Toney Douglas, Archie Goodwin, R.J. Hunter, John Jenkins, Perry Jones, James Young and Cliff Alexander. The Bucks already have four centers on their roster, but Greg Monroe and John Henson are reportedly on the block. Thabeet has been making a living in the G-League and will likely settle for a training camp deal for another shot in the NBA. For what it's worth, he wouldn't have any fantasy value on the Bucks.

Hasheem Thabeet is still hoping to hook on with an NBA team.

Thabeet hasn't been with a team in training camp, but is still hoping he can salvage his NBA career. "The goal is to make it back to the NBA, so I’ll do whatever it is going to take for me to get accepted by a team," Thabeet said. "Whatever it takes for me to get back, I’ll do it." While there's always a chance that Thabeet hooks on somewhere, he's more likely to wind up in the D-League or overseas and can be ignored in standard fantasy leagues.

Teams have shown interest in Hasheem Thabeet, according to Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times.

Woelfel reports that several teams are interested in Thabeet and quoted one team executive of saying, "He's a huge guy. He looked good. We liked what we saw of him.'' While it wouldn't be a shock to see Thabeet earn a camp invite, he can be ignored in standard fantasy leagues.

Hasheem Thabeet was ejected from Sunday's Summer League game after picking up two technical fouls.

He vociferously argued against a call to earn his trip to the locker room of the D-League Select team, for whom he was starting at center. The former No. 2 overall pick last played in the NBA in 2013-14, when he averaged 8.3 minutes for the Thunder, and it doesn't seem likely that he'll earn a guaranteed contract this season.

Hasheem Thabeet has passed on offers to play in Europe, and has committed to join the Grand Rapids of the D-League.

The former No. 2 overall pick of the 2009 draft will now attempt to impress in the D-League in order to sign an NBA contract. However, he's never been able to produce meaningful stats on an NBA team, so even if he does get a contract, there's no reason to pay him any mind in a fantasy league.

Pistons waive former No. 2 overall pick Hasheem Thabeet.

Thabeet was waived along with Brian Cook, Lorenzo Brown and Josh Bostic. It's unclear if another team will take a chance on Thabeet, which would close the book on one of biggest draft busts of the last 10 years.

The Pistons will sign Hasheem Thabeet to a non-guarantted deal.

The 76ers waived him, which is all you really need to know about his chances to make the Pistons. Thabeet has been a bust since being selected before guys like James Harden and Stephen Curry in the 2009 NBA Draft.

The Thunder traded Hasheem Thabeet and cash to the 76ers on Tuesday for a second-round pick, thus acquiring a $1.3 million trade exception.

The Sixers are expected to immediately waive Thabeet, whose fleeting acquisition bumps Philly a bit closer to the NBA's salary-cap 'floor'. With Kendrick Perkins, Steven Adams and rookie Mitch McGary filling out their center position, Thabeet was expendable for OKC, so they took the chance to earn a small salary-cap asset. The draft pick involved is so heavily protected that it's not expected to ever come to OKC. It's anyone's guess where Thabeet might land once he clears waivers.

Hakeem Thabeet is hoping to return to the Oklahoma City Thunder next season.

Thabeet has a $1.25 million team option for next season and should have his option picked up as long as the Thunder don't find themselves in salary cap trouble. The Number 2 overall pick of the 2009 saw his minutes dip to 8.3 per game this season, but would still like to return to the team who gave him a chance. "That’s the goal," Thabeet said of coming back. "I don’t know anything else. I haven’t heard anything else. I’m going to be here over the summer working out. That’s really all I can say about that situation." We'll update this situation as soon as more information is available, but 27-year-old doesn't hold much fantasy value heading into the 2014-15 season.

Hasheem Thabeet (personal reasons) has returned to the Thunder.

It is unclear why Thabeet was away from the team, but his return shouldn't have fantasy owners all excited. Thabeet has scored 25 total points during the entire 2013-14 season and hasn't fared much better in the rebounding category with just 35 boards. Despite his status as a former Top 5 draft pick, Thabeet is better off left unowned in every fantasy league.

Hasheem Thabeet (personal) will not play against the Nuggets on Monday.

He is also considered doubtful for Tuesday's game. Thabeet has seen some minutes here and there while Kendrick Perkins (groin) has been out, but it's only been 9.3 per game over his last nine. OKC won't miss him much.
Mon, Mar 24, 2014 05:26:00 PM

Hasheem Thabeet scored a season-high seven points against the Sixers on Tuesday with three boards and two blocks in 18 minutes.

Of all the things the Sixers did tonight, allowing Thabeet to score seven points might be the worst. He scored just 12 points in 78 minutes before tonight and his seven-point night should hold up as his best game of the season. We hope you don't need fantasy analysis here.

Hasheem Thabeet picked up his second straight DNP-CD on Sunday.

He also missed OKC's first game due to a one-game suspension. Steven Adams has taken over backup center duties behind Kendrick Perkins, relegating Thabeet to bench-warmer status.
Mon, Nov 4, 2013 12:19:00 PM

The NBA suspended Hasheem Thabeet for one game without pay for headbutting Greg Stiemsma on Oct. 17.

The Thunder won't be needed him for their opener on the 30th against the Jazz. Steven Adams has clearly outplayed him and Thabeet isn't worth drafting in any format.
