Omri Casspi admitted that his confidence has been shaken this season.
"To a certain degree, yeah,'' he said. "To be in a position where you don't know if you're going to get traded or not . . . and then the appendix . . .'' The Cleveland Plan Dealer feels it's "unlikely" the Cavs will extend a $3.3 million qualifying offer to Casspi in the offseason. Apr 12 - 9:16 AM

Omri Casspi (appendectomy) has been cleared to practice and will dress on Tuesday against the Wizards.

Casspi is a non-factor in the Cavs rotation, but it's good to see that he's healthy following surgery.

Updating a previous item, Omri Casspi (appendectomy) returned to practice on Thursday.

Casspi didn't have a role before his operation and is unlikely to have one now, either.

Omri Casspi (appendectomy) has been cleared to begin some activities on the basketball court.

"I haven't done anything for two weeks," Casspi said. He'll return to a nonexistent role with the Cavs when he's ready to put on his jersey again.

The Rockets' decision to pursue Aaron Brooks means Omri Casspi will likely remain with the Cavs, reports ESPN's Marc Stein.

Stein reported Thursday that Casspi and the Cavs had discussed a buyout with the Rockets mentioned as likely suitors once Casspi becomes a free agent. Casspi is averaging 4.0 points and 2.2 rebounds 36.7 percent shooting in 11.5 minutes per game this season.

Omri Casspi and the Cavs are discussing a buyout, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Casspi is not in the Cavs current or future plans, so a buyout may be in everyone's best interest. He's averaging 4.0 points and 2.2 rebounds on 36.7 percent shooting in 11.5 minutes per game. The Rockets are rumored to have interest.
Feb 28 - 1:16 PM

The Cavs announced that Omri Casspi does not have a timetable to return from his appendectomy.

He went to an Orlando hospital for the procedure and he is back in Cleveland. It's good to hear that Casspi is on the road to recovery, but he has no fantasy value.
Feb 25 - 10:24 PM

Omri Casspi had an appendectomy on Saturday and he will not play during the Cavaliers' current three-game road trip.

The good news is that he's in fine condition and we have an explanation for his mysterious abdominal pain. He hasn't been part of the Cavs' plans lately anyway and is apparently not in the team's future plans, so this shouldn't impact fantasy rosters.
Feb 24 - 11:21 AM

Omri Casspi is dealing with an acute abdominal issue and was taken to an Orlando hospital.

He will stay at the hospital for an undisclosed time. We'll pass along any information about the details as soon as they're available. Casspi has been out of the rotation and won't play tonight against the Magic.
Feb 23 - 5:42 PM

Omri Casspi denied a Yahoo! report that he had asked for a trade.

"I don't have any other focus but help my team win," he said. "Whatever the future holds will happen." That's not exactly an outright denial, and given his role in Cleveland, it's hard not to believe he'd welcome a trade to a different team.
Jan 8 - 9:05 AM

Omri Casspi has requested a trade, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

It's not a surprise. Casspi is on the outside looking in to crack the rotation, and he hasn't played since December 21. Still just 24 years old, Casspi could draw interest from a team needing help on the wing. He's averaging 4.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 3-pointers on 39.2 percent shooting.
Jan 7 - 1:11 PM

Omri Casspi will not play on Friday due to an upset stomach.

Casspi's absence gives Byron Scott little choice but to run with surging C.J. Miles, regardless of Miles' defensive and shot selection issues. Barring a surprise, Miles will have plenty of opportunities to score tonight.

Omri Casspi has an upset stomach and won't play against the Pacers on Wednesday.

After starting for an injured Dion Waiters on Dec. 3, Casspi has returned to a reserve role. He's averaging just 5.2 points and 2.6 rebounds in 13.9 minutes per game this year and should be on the waiver wire in most leagues. Expect to see more of Jeremy Pargo and C.J. Miles with Casspi out.

Omri Casspi drew a start for the injured Dion Waiters (ankle) on Monday and had 10 points, four rebounds and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes against the Pistons.

Casspi was out of the rotation earlier this year and came in averaging just 6.0 points. Dion Waiters shouldn't be out too long, so we'd leave Omri on the wire in all but the deepest of leagues.

Omri Casspi will start at SF for the injured Cavs on Monday, shifting Alonzo Gee to SG.

Casspi has settled into a 15-minute bench role lately, but Dion Waiters' ankle injury forced Byron Scott to shuffle his lineup once more. If you need a quick hit of 3-pointers and points, give Casspi a glance.
