Omri Casspi is hoping that the Kings make significant progress this season.
"We’re going to have to make some strides. It’s time," Casspi said. "We’ve added some good guys, some good quality players and quality individuals to our locker room, which is important, I think." Casspi has spent the summer working on his ballhandling and shooting, and also wants to improve his free throw shooting after hitting just 64.8 percent from the line last season. Rudy Gay could be on the way out of Sacramento, so that could open up more minutes for Casspi on the wings. Aug 14 - 10:40 AM

Omri Casspi (hamstring) will not play Wednesday vs. the Rockets, as expected.

James Anderson and Ben McLemore will be the primary beneficiaries sans Casspi, with McLemore offering a bit more upside. Casspi is done for the year and belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Apr 12 - 3:21 PM

Omri Casspi (hamstring) will not play on Monday against the Suns.

He is likely out for the season and the Kings still haven't shared his MRI results. James Anderson is getting most of Casspi minutes and is playing decent. Ben McLemore should play a lot tonight, too.
Apr 11 - 4:28 PM

Omri Casspi (hamstring) will not play against the Thunder on Saturday.

He's been a fan favorite, but Casspi won't play another game at Sleep Train Arena. There will be more minutes going to James Anderson, Seth Curry and Ben McLemore.
Apr 9 - 7:05 PM

Omri Casspi (hamstring) is doubtful to play Saturday vs. the Thunder.

He's likely done for the year, and belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues. Seth Curry will continue to benefit most in his absence.
Apr 8 - 10:49 PM

Omri Casspi (hamstring) and Marco Belinelli (foot) have been ruled out for Thursday's game against Minnesota.

With just four games remaining on the schedule for Sacramento, it's unlikely that either of these guys will return to the court this season, and both Casspi and Belinelli belong on the waiver wire everywhere. Seth Curry and Darren Collison should see plenty of minutes tonight with Rajon Rondo (rest) also to sit out Thursday's game.
Apr 7 - 3:38 PM

Omri Casspi (hamstring) will not play on Thursday against the Wolves.

He's likely out for the season. James Anderson has picked up most of the run while Casspi not playing has also helped Seth Curry and Ben McLemore. Curry has the most value.
Apr 6 - 8:36 PM

Omri Casspi (hamstring) and Marco Belinelli (foot) have been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. Portland.

It'll be Casspi's second straight game on the sidelines and Belinelli's sixth straight game being out of commission. Both guys could very well likely miss Sacramento's remaining five games of the year, so they belong on the waiver wire just about everywhere. Seth Curry and Ben McLemore will be the primary beneficiaries here, with Curry offering the most upside.
Apr 5 - 5:53 PM

Omri Casspi (hamstring) is out for Tuesday against the Blazers.

He is likely out for the season. The Kings could wind up resting Rudy Gay, which would mean Ben McLemore and James Anderson would have to play a lot at the three. It is a home game, so Gay has a good chance to play. Casspi should be dropped in almost all leagues.
Apr 4 - 4:42 PM

Omri Casspi (hamstring) is out for Saturday against the Nuggets.

His hamstring strain looked really bad on Friday and he will likely be out for the season. Casspi is scheduled to have an MRI today to confirm the damage. Assuming he doesn't rest, Rudy Gay should play minutes in the upper 30s tonight in a good matchup. While there is an off chance he rests, the Kings almost have to play him. We'll also see a lot of James Anderson and Ben McLemore at the three.
Apr 2 - 3:10 PM

Omri Casspi said that he will undergo an MRI on his right hamstring on Saturday, and acknowledged that he may miss the final six games of the season for Sacramento.

Hamstring injuries tend to take time to heal, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Casspi shut things down for the tanking Kings. Seth Curry will be the primary beneficiary here, and Casspi can be cut just about everywhere with this report.
Apr 2 - 12:52 AM

Omri Casspi (right hamstring) will not return to Friday's game against the Heat

The Kings are getting blown out badly, so it's not surprising to see Casspi out for the rest of the game. For now, we'll be considering him questionable for Saturday's game in Denver, and if he's out, Seth Curry will benefit.
Apr 1 - 10:49 PM

Omri Casspi scored 15 points off the bench against the Wizards on Wednesday with eight rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer.

It's possible he gets a start on Friday against the Heat and Saturday against the Nuggets. The Kings could go with a small-ball lineup against Luol Deng at power forward while the road game in Denver means starters will be sitting. Casspi should have decent value for those looking to use a Friday-Saturday stream or in DFS, too.
Mar 31 - 1:02 AM

Omri Casspi started in place of Rudy Gay (rest) on Monday vs. the Blazers and scored 18 points with six boards, five assists and two 3-pointers in 30 minutes.

The Kings won't make the postseason, so Casspi could have an expanded role down the stretch if they keep resting guys like Gay, DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo. Casspi has mid-round upside and is shooting over 40 percent from beyond the arc this season, so he's worth a look in standard leagues.
Mar 29 - 12:36 AM

Omri Casspi is in the starting lineup against the Blazers on Monday.

He should be very busy with Rudy Gay (rest) out tonight. The Kings will likely go small at times with some James Anderson and Ben McLemore at the three, as well. Casspi has a great chance to produce tonight.
