Omri Casspi grabbed a career-high 17 boards in Saturday's blowout loss to the Clippers, adding 11 points, one assist and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes.

After scoring seven points with 12 rebounds, six assists and one steal in 31 minutes on Friday, Casspi kept his momentum going tonight and it certainly looks like head coach George Karl is going to give him a sizable role in the rotation. With the Kings still searching for answers, Casspi is worth a speculative add in most leagues to see if he can keep it up.
Feb 22 - 12:56 AM

Omri Casspi scored seven points on 2-of-9 shooting (including a three) with 12 rebounds, six assists and one steal in 31 minutes off the bench on Friday against the Celtics.

Casspi has had a nice season when he's been on the floor and though it's early to say this with any certainty, but George Karl doesn't seem like the type that's going to overlook that like the Kings have for much of the year. It's hard to call him a strong add right now, but one more solid outing and there will be some speculative appeal.
Feb 21 - 4:19 AM

Omri Casspi started for the Kings, who went small against the Bucks on Wednesday, but hit just 3-of-8 shots for six points and three rebounds in 15 minutes.

Nothing to see here, folks.
Feb 11 - 11:52 PM

Omri Casspi will start for the Kings on Wednesday, sending Jason Thompson to the bench.

Sacramento is going small-ball vs. the Bucks with Casspi playing PF alongside DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay, Ben McLemore and Ramon Sessions. Casspi has averaged 13.0 points, 0.7 threes, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists with efficient shooting in three previous starts this season. He's worth a look for temporary value despite a tough matchup with Milwaukee's defense.
Feb 11 - 6:42 PM

Omri Casspi filled in at SF for Rudy Gay (foot) on Sunday but finished with only three points, five rebounds and two assists in 20 minutes of action.

Casspi made a 3-pointer but he turned the ball over twice and played nine fewer minutes than backup forward Derrick Williams (four points, six boards). Gay is day-to-day and could return as soon as Monday's road game in Chicago, so there's no incentive to target Casspi with the All-Star break looming.
Feb 9 - 12:10 AM

Omri Casspi will draw the start in place of Rudy Gay (sore left foot) on Sunday against the Suns.

In two previous starts this season, Casspi averaged 18.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 38.5 minutes, so he would be worth a look in deeper leagues if Gay misses any additional time. For now, give Casspi a look as a cheap plug-and-play option in daily leagues.
Feb 8 - 7:23 PM

Omri Casspi (eye) played eight minutes on Monday and finished with five points, two rebounds and one steal.

We're less worried about Casspi's eye than we are his knee and he has no real fantasy value right now.
Jan 20 - 2:43 AM

Omri Casspi (eye) is being listed as probable for Monday's game against the Blazers.

Casspi left Saturday's game with an eye injury, but it can't be too serious since he's already ready to roll just two days later.
Jan 19 - 12:16 PM

Omri Casspi (right eye) left Saturday's game against the Clippers and is questionable to return.

His role in Sacramento is very limited at the moment, so his absence wouldn't have any fantasy implications. We will pass along further information as soon as we know more.
Jan 17 - 10:55 PM

Omri Casspi (knee) returned to action on Friday, scoring two points on 1-of-5 shooting with two assists in 17 minutes.

Casspi has played well when healthy but his knee is sort of messed up and he hasn't really been a good fantasy play at full strength. He can be left on the waiver wire.
Jan 17 - 2:48 AM

Omri Casspi (knee) is probable to play against the Heat on Friday.

He had a knee aggravation last month and has been out for every game in 2015. Casspi is very likely to start in tonight's matchup with Rudy Gay (knee) out. In his previous two starts, he averaged 18.0 points, 5.5 boards, 1.5 assists and 0.5 treys. Casspi is certainly an option tonight, but coming off an injury provides some risk.
Jan 16 - 4:38 PM

Omri Casspi (knee) was a full participant during Thursday's practice, but his status for Friday's game against Miami is not yet known.

With Rudy Gay's (knee) status also up in the air, Casspi could see some extended minutes on Friday if he's able to go. However, if both Casspi and Gay are ruled out, Derrick Williams would likely start and get all the minutes he can handle, and he could make for a nice play in daily leagues. Stay tuned.
Jan 15 - 3:55 PM

Omri Casspi (knee) will miss Tuesday's game against the Mavericks.

Casspi will sit for the sixth consecutive game Tuesday night while Derrick Williams and Nik Stauskas will continue see a minutes increase in his absence. Neither player offers much more fantasy value than a punt play in daily leagues, while Casspi can safely be cut in all but the deepest of leagues.
Jan 13 - 11:17 AM

Omri Casspi (knee) will not play on Sunday vs. the Cavaliers.

He has been dealing with a bone contusion in his knee for over a month now and the Kings won't likely rush him back until he is at 100 percent. Derrick Williams and Nik Stauskas will continue to see an increase in their minutes off the bench, but not enough to matter in most leagues.
