Omri Casspi, who scored 14 points on Sunday, managed only five points, five rebounds and one assist during a tense one-point win vs. the Sixers on Tuesday.
He made one 3-pointer and stole the ball once, but shot 2-of-6 from the field and played the fewest minutes (25) of any starter. Casspi's up-and-down play is the most obvious argument against owning him in standard fantasy leagues, despite his recent ascension to the starting lineup. Mar 25 - 12:51 AM

Omri Casspi fared well in 32 minutes as a starter on Sunday, racking up 14 points, two 3-pointers, two rebounds, five assists and three steals in a win vs. Washington.

Casspi fits well in George Karl's offense and his playing time has spiked over the past four games, during which he's averaging 11.3 points, 1.3 triples, 3.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals. He's been too unreliable for use in 12-team leagues but that could change quickly if his minutes stay north of 30 per game.
Mar 22 - 8:46 PM

Omri Casspi started on Monday against the Hawks with Rudy Gay (knee) out, scoring 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting (including two threes) with five rebounds and two steals in 36 minutes.

Casspi is one of the Kings' better players but whether it's his knee or coach's decisions he just isn't consistent with the minutes or the production. Derrick Williams (zero points, 15 minutes) should not step foot near a fantasy league, but Casspi will be worth a look if Gay gets shut down at some point, which to be clear hasn't been reported. With the Kings tanking it's something to think about, however.
Mar 17 - 1:15 AM

Omri Casspi played just 15 minutes in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Wizards, scoring two points with one rebound and one assist.

He only had two shots from the field and turned the ball over three times. Casspi had a good run of starts earlier this season, but this makes it two in a row on the bad side. If you're looking to grab someone from the Rudy Gay (knee) injury fallout, Derrick Williams is probably the guy.
Mar 14 - 9:22 PM

Omri Casspi is likely to start against the Wizards on Saturday in place of Rudy Gay (knee).

It'll be his fifth start at small forward. In his previous four, Casspi averaged 11.3 points, 4.8 boards, 1.3 dimes, 0.3 steals and 0.5 treys in 27.8 minutes per game. Although, Casspi did have a bad game in his last start for Gay, scoring three points with five boards. He's still worth a look tonight for owners looking to add a guy to stream.
Mar 14 - 5:45 PM

Omri Casspi managed just six points, four rebounds and one steal in 24 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Casspi had a 17-rebound game on Saturday but hasn't been able to do squat since. This action can be watched from the wire.
Feb 28 - 4:20 AM

Omri Casspi grabbed a career-high 17 boards in Saturday's blowout loss to the Clippers, adding 11 points, one assist and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes.

After scoring seven points with 12 rebounds, six assists and one steal in 31 minutes on Friday, Casspi kept his momentum going tonight and it certainly looks like head coach George Karl is going to give him a sizable role in the rotation. With the Kings still searching for answers, Casspi is worth a speculative add in most leagues to see if he can keep it up.
Feb 22 - 12:56 AM

Omri Casspi scored seven points on 2-of-9 shooting (including a three) with 12 rebounds, six assists and one steal in 31 minutes off the bench on Friday against the Celtics.

Casspi has had a nice season when he's been on the floor and though it's early to say this with any certainty, but George Karl doesn't seem like the type that's going to overlook that like the Kings have for much of the year. It's hard to call him a strong add right now, but one more solid outing and there will be some speculative appeal.
Feb 21 - 4:19 AM

Omri Casspi started for the Kings, who went small against the Bucks on Wednesday, but hit just 3-of-8 shots for six points and three rebounds in 15 minutes.

Nothing to see here, folks.
Feb 11 - 11:52 PM

Omri Casspi will start for the Kings on Wednesday, sending Jason Thompson to the bench.

Sacramento is going small-ball vs. the Bucks with Casspi playing PF alongside DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay, Ben McLemore and Ramon Sessions. Casspi has averaged 13.0 points, 0.7 threes, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists with efficient shooting in three previous starts this season. He's worth a look for temporary value despite a tough matchup with Milwaukee's defense.
Feb 11 - 6:42 PM

Omri Casspi filled in at SF for Rudy Gay (foot) on Sunday but finished with only three points, five rebounds and two assists in 20 minutes of action.

Casspi made a 3-pointer but he turned the ball over twice and played nine fewer minutes than backup forward Derrick Williams (four points, six boards). Gay is day-to-day and could return as soon as Monday's road game in Chicago, so there's no incentive to target Casspi with the All-Star break looming.
Feb 9 - 12:10 AM

Omri Casspi will draw the start in place of Rudy Gay (sore left foot) on Sunday against the Suns.

In two previous starts this season, Casspi averaged 18.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 38.5 minutes, so he would be worth a look in deeper leagues if Gay misses any additional time. For now, give Casspi a look as a cheap plug-and-play option in daily leagues.
Feb 8 - 7:23 PM

Omri Casspi (eye) played eight minutes on Monday and finished with five points, two rebounds and one steal.

We're less worried about Casspi's eye than we are his knee and he has no real fantasy value right now.
Jan 20 - 2:43 AM

Omri Casspi (eye) is being listed as probable for Monday's game against the Blazers.

Casspi left Saturday's game with an eye injury, but it can't be too serious since he's already ready to roll just two days later.
Jan 19 - 12:16 PM

Omri Casspi (right eye) left Saturday's game against the Clippers and is questionable to return.

His role in Sacramento is very limited at the moment, so his absence wouldn't have any fantasy implications. We will pass along further information as soon as we know more.
