Gerald Henderson scored five points with one rebound in 19 minutes against the Bulls on Friday.
He's losing some playing time to guys like Hollis Thompson and Nik Stauskas. Henderson hasn't been a per-minute value in quite some time, so he's really going to need a few things to happen to have value in standard leagues or for DFS. He's trending down for even deep leagues. Nov 25 - 11:05 PM

Gerald Henderson (illness) will play Friday vs. the Bulls.

Henderson missed Wednesday's game vs. Memphis, but will return to play Chicago. Hollis Thompson gets bumped back to the bench. Nik Stauskas will also see his minutes reduced, after playing a season-high 43 on Wednesday.

Gerald Henderson (illness) is questionable for Friday's game vs. the Bulls.

Henderson did not play Wednesday vs. the Grizz. Hollis Thompson started in his place. However, it was Nik Stauskas who was the biggest beneficiary of Henderson's absence. Stauskas played a team-high 43 minutes on Wednesday. He's worth serious DFS consideration on Friday if Henderson doesn't play.
Nov 25 - 12:05 PM

Gerald Henderson (illness) will not play against the Grizzlies on Wednesday and Hollis Thompson will start.

He played through an illness and saw 32 minutes on Monday, so there is a big chunk of playing time available. Thompson can play both wing spots, so he should get minutes next Nik Stauskas at times. The hotter Sauce Castillo looks like the better short-term option. Henderson doesn't have much fantasy value.
Nov 23 - 5:23 PM

Gerald Henderson (illness) is doubtful to play Wednesday vs. the Grizzlies.

With Henderson likely to spend Wednesday night on the sidelines, Nik Stauskas or Hollis Thompson will move into the starting five and Jahlil Okafor could be more active on the offensive end. That being said, all these guys will be risky DFS targets with a tough matchup against the Grizzlies.

Gerald Henderson battled through an illness on Monday vs. the Heat and scored a season-high 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting.

76ers coach Brett Brown said that Henderson didn't even warm up for the game and he ended up playing a season-high 32 minutes. He added three rebounds, two assists and three triples while connecting on all four of his shots from the line. Hendo was averaging 10.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.6 3-pointers prior to Monday, so we'll need to see him do this again.
Nov 21 - 10:46 PM

Gerald Henderson (flu/cold) is starting on Monday vs. the Heat.

The 76ers may limit his minutes on Monday, but this update dampens the fantasy appeal of Hollis Thompson just a bit. Henderson is a deep-league asset and is a risky fantasy option at less than 100 percent.
Nov 21 - 6:31 PM

Gerald Henderson (flu/cold) is questionable to play vs. the Heat on Monday.

The Sixers do have some good injury news with both Jerryd Bayless (wrist) and Ersan Ilyasova (foot) probable to play tonight, and both Joel Embiid and Jahlil Okafor active. If Henderson can't suit up we might get a heavy dose of Nik Stauskas as a fill-in starter, with Hollis Thompson also a candidate for extra minutes.
Nov 21 - 5:39 PM

Gerald Henderson scored 12 points with four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 29 minutes during a 109-105 win over the Pacers on Friday.

Henderson has really done a nice job in his role as the shooting guard. Although, he's not really doing much on the stat sheet, averaging 10.6 points, 3.0 boards, 1.1 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 treys. The 76ers usual starting five of Hendo, Sergio Rodriguez, Robert Covington, Dario Saric and Joel Embiid actually have a positive 6.7 net rating, so they are a lot better than their 1-7 record suggests. Hendo is more of a 16-team guy.
Nov 11 - 10:42 PM

Gerald Henderson sank 8-of-14 field goals to finish Wednesday's road loss with 17 points, five rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes of action.

The veteran is averaging 9.3 points in 24.5 minutes per game this year, with a typical lack of supporting stats -- he's chipping in just 2.5 boards, 1.0 assists and 0.8 steals. He's only worth a glance in deep leagues.
Nov 9 - 10:06 PM

Gerald Henderson started and hit 7-of-13 shots for 18 points, four rebounds and a steal in Tuesday's loss.

Henderson's previous high was just nine points, but he got it going tonight. He's not going to do much besides score and he's not exactly consistent at doing that, so he's not a must-own player, despite the nice night.
Nov 1 - 10:00 PM

Gerald Henderson did not score against the Hawks on Saturday, adding one rebound, one assist and one steal in 18 minutes.

It was a rough showing for Henderson, who scored nine points in the opener. Almost any fantasy owner should be able to find a more promising fantasy asset. He should stick in the starting lineup, though.
Oct 29 - 3:28 PM

Gerald Henderson scored nine points with two rebounds and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes against the Thunder on Wednesday.

He got off to a great start and even extended his shooting range with three attempts from deep. There won't be many scoring chances for Henderson to make a consistent impact in standard leagues.
Oct 27 - 12:34 AM

Gerald Henderson (hip) is expected to play 18-20 minutes on Friday.

Henderson has been brought along slowly from his hip injury and he is targeting 18-20 minutes against the Heat on Friday. Henderson will see plenty of minutes for the 76ers to begin the season, but his fantasy value is limited to deeper leagues at this point.
Oct 20 - 12:38 PM

Gerald Henderson is expected to play between 18-20 minutes on Saturday vs. Detroit.

The Sixers have brought Hendo along slowly in order to preserve him for the regular season, so this is just the next step in their plan.
