Gerald Henderson scored 27 points on 11-of-16 shooting with three boards, five assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 39 minutes on Monday.
He entered tonight ranked 15th in total points since the All-Star break and he didn't slow down tonight. Hendo is very unlikely to be in such a featured role next year, so he's not going to be someone worth a high pick in next season's drafts. Apr 15 - 9:59 PM

Date:

Gerald Henderson had 24 points, four rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block in Wednesday's win over the Sixers.

Henderson's improvement is for real. He took on an excellent wing defender in Damien Wilkins tonight and used superior athleticism to eat him up. Henderson is also chipping in on the defensive end now, as evidenced by his 1.6 steals per night over the last six games. He's going to be a value pick in 2013-14 fantasy drafts.
Apr 3 - 9:42 PM

Gerald Henderson, who averaged 34.5 points in his previous two games, finished Saturday's defeat with 19 points on 8-of-18 shooting, three boards, seven assists, two steals and zero turnovers.

At 17-56 the Bobcats easily have the worst record in the NBA. The only good news is that they'll have a very good chance of landing the No. 1 draft pick for 2013, and they have a talented group of young players who have shown varying degrees of improvement this year, foremost among them Kemba Walker, Henderson, Bismack Biyombo and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.
Mar 30 - 11:43 PM

Gerald Henderson kept the ball rolling against the Knicks on Friday with 35 points, seven boards, three assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 46 minutes.

He shot 9-of-16 from the field and 15-of-17 from the line to make this a monster line. Hendo is crushing right now, averaging 22.6 points on 50.6 percent from the field in his previous 10 games. He's a big fish in a little pond for the Charlotte's offense.
Mar 29 - 11:27 PM

Gerald Henderson, who will be a restricted free agent after the season, would "absolutely" prefer to re-sign with the Bobcats.

What else is Henderson going to say at this stage? Charlotte will have the opportunity to match any offer he receives as a free agent, and the swingman is lining himself up for a big pay day with averages of 18.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 steals on 46.2 percent shooting since the All-Star break. The Pistons were rumored to have interest in signing Henderson as a free agent previously.
Mar 28 - 8:39 AM

Gerald Henderson stayed hot on Wednesday with 34 points, seven rebounds, two assists, a steal and a 3-pointer on 13-of-23 shooting in a win over the Magic.

Henderson is absolutely killing it for his owners in March and might help many of them win a championship. He's scored in double digits in 13 straight games, and has scored 18 or more in seven of those.
Mar 27 - 10:33 PM

Gerald Henderson did it again on Wednesday, going for 21 points, seven rebounds, five assists, a steal and two blocks on 8-of-14 shooting as the Bobcats beat the Raptors to win their second straight game.

This was their first back-to-back win since Nov. 21 and the Raptors were also the victim that time. Henderson has been killing it for Charlotte and should be owned and starting in all fantasy leagues.
Mar 20 - 10:10 PM

Gerald Henderson scored 27 points on 8-of-16 shooting (1-of-2 3PTs, 10-of-11 FTs) with three rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one block in the Bobcats' 119-114 win over the Wizards on Monday.

Henderson is absolutely on fire and has taken over as the team's No. 1 scorer. That title previously went to Kemba Walker (18 points, seven assists), and it's possible that the absence of Ramon Sessions has tilted the scales here.
Mar 18 - 11:45 PM

Gerald Henderson followed up his 35-point effort on Tuesday with 22 points, seven rebounds, two assists and three steals in Friday's loss to the Raptors.

Henderson hit 8-of-17 shots (5-of-6 FTs) and drained a three in his new role as a consistent top scoring option for the Bobcats. Ramon Sessions should be out a little while longer, so owners can roll Henderson into lineups with relative confidence for now. Kemba Walker hit just 5-of-17 shots but finished with 20 points, four rebounds, four assists, three steals and two threes in the loss.
Mar 15 - 10:10 PM

Gerald Henderson hit 11-of-19 shots, a 3-pointer and 12-of-12 free throws on his way to a career-high 35 points on Tuesday, helping the Bobcats snap a 10-game losing streak with an incredibly easy win over the Celtics.

Henderson added three assists, and while he's not a classic eight-cat performer, he is starting, getting plenty of run, and has scored in single digits just twice since Feb. 1. He should be owned in all leagues, and we hope he was in your lineup for this gem.
Mar 12 - 10:42 PM

Gerald Henderson made his first five shots and finished shooting 7-of-13 from the field for 21 points with five boards, five assists and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes against the Thunder on Friday.

The minutes are certainly going to be there for him and he averaged 31.3 minutes per game in his last 10 even before the Ramon Sessions knee injury. Henderson is shooting a career-high 35 percent from 3-point land and the Bobcats will need some more perimeter offense, so perhaps Mike Dunlap will give Hendo the green light. He's worth owning in all standard leagues.
Mar 8 - 9:39 PM

Gerald Henderson hit 12-of-19 shots to tie a season high with 24 points on Tuesday, adding two rebounds, three assists and three steals in 35 minutes.

Henderson came in averaging 15.8 points and 5.4 boards over his previous five games, and looked great tonight. He's locked into the starting role for the Cats, and is worth starting in fantasy leagues until he cools off. This was the second time he's scored a season-high 24 in his last five games.
Feb 27 - 1:19 AM

The Bobcats are "struggling" to find a first-round pick for Gerald Henderson, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

It's not a surprise as Henderson is a free agent after the season and teams are treating first-round picks with much higher value than at a previous time. Henderson would fit on a few different guard-needy teams, but the Bobcats won't just give him away.
Feb 21 - 11:29 AM

Gerald Henderson, who had a season-high 24 points on Tuesday, cooled off Wednesday against the Pistons with 13 points, seven rebounds, five assists and a 3-pointer on 4-of-14 shooting.

He's a trade candidate, but should continue to see plenty of minutes and scoring opportunities if he stays in Charlotte. And he looks like nearly a must-own player as long as he's starting for the Bobcats.
Feb 20 - 9:54 PM

The Bobcats discussed a deal that would trade Gerald Henderson for Timofey Mozgov and J.J. Hickson, but talks gained no traction.

Henderson hasn't really been a hot name in the rumor mill before today and there were reports this morning that he could be dealt for a draft pick. Ben Gordon seems much more likely to be dealt, which would make Henderson a guy whose arrow could be pointing up in fantasy leagues. He should be owned in all standard leagues. This news also is interesting for J.J. Hickson and his value will undoubtedly take a dive should he be traded to a team with even a shred of depth.
