Gerald Henderson scored 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds, five assists and three steals on Tuesday.

Henderson had slid a little bit last week and moved off of must-own status, but he has come roaring back this past week with early round value in his last four games. During that time he has averaged 15.5 points, 1.5 treys, 4.0 boards, 2.8 assists, 2.0 steals, 0.5 blocks and shot the ball very well. We can't guarantee this will continue and Kemba Walker's eventual return will hurt, but for now he should be owned in standard formats.
Mar 4 - 4:08 AM

Gerald Henderson scored 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting (including two threes) with four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block on Friday.

Henderson has been a borderline value in 12-team standard leagues for the last week or so and one has to wonder how his numbers will hold up with Mo Williams around. If you want to ride him while he's moderately productive go for it, but there's not enough upside to call him a must-own player.
Feb 28 - 12:46 AM

Gerald Henderson played through a sore left wrist on Sunday vs. the Mavericks, finishing with only four points, three boards, two assists and one steal in 26 minutes.

This is not the same wrist that Henderson had surgery on in May and it doesn't appear that he is danger of missing any action. He doesn't contribute much beyond the occasional scoring outburst and owners in standard leagues can almost certainly do better, especially now that Mo Williams has joined the Hornets' backcourt rotation.
Feb 22 - 11:37 PM

Gerald Henderson is dealing with a sore wrist but he is planning to play against the Mavericks on Sunday.

The Hornets would be forced to give more minutes to mercurial guard Lance Stephenson if Henderson ever has to miss any action, but it looks like they dodged a bullet here. Barring a late setback, Henderson should be ready to roll against the Mavericks.
Feb 22 - 6:22 PM

Gerald Henderson made 2-of-10 from the field for six points with six rebounds and seven assists in 33 minutes against the Thunder on Saturday.

He did have a lot of good looks, but they just weren't falling. Henderson has made just 28.6 percent from the field in his last four and has seen his fantasy appeal fall off even in points leagues and DFS -- Michael Kidd-Gilchrist returning doesn't help. Owners in standard leagues should almost never think about adding Henderson.
Feb 21 - 9:43 PM

Gerald Henderson kept rolling on Tuesday, posting 17 points, two 3-pointers, four rebounds, five assists, one steal and only one turnover in an ugly loss to Detroit.

He's averaging 15.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 7.3 assists over the Hornets' past three games, having taken on a much bigger role in Kemba Walker's absence. Owners shouldn't trust Henderson to maintain this pace down the stretch, but the red-hot SG shouldn't be on standard-league waiver wires.
Feb 10 - 9:31 PM

Gerald Henderson had another well-rounded line in Sunday's win vs. Indiana with 13 points, seven boards, eight assists and two turnovers in 39 minutes.

He posted 17/5/9 on Saturday and has maintained low-end value over the past month, as his 14.6 points, 0.7 threes, 2.9 boards, 2.9 assists and 0.8 steals are enough to offset lousy 38.9 percent shooting. He did shoot just 2-of-9 from the field vs. Indy tonight, but made up for it with a stellar 9-of-9 mark at the charity stripe.
Feb 8 - 9:47 PM

Gerald Henderson ran the offense on Saturday against the 76ers with a season-high nine assists, adding 17 points, five rebounds, one steal and two 3-pointers.

He was hit in the mouth and was bleeding, but he did return. Henderson's shots are on the rise in his last five games with 14.4 attempts from the field per game, averaging 17.4 points, 3.2 boards, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.8 triples on 43.1 percent from the field. He doesn't offer much upside, but give him a look if you want some scoring.
Feb 7 - 10:27 PM

Gerald Henderson took over against the Wizards on Thursday, making 10-of-15 from the field for 27 points with four rebounds, one assist, two steals and two blocks in 36 minutes.

He did not have a great January, averaging 14.1 points, 3.7 boards, 3.0 assists and 0.4 steals on 39.6 percent from the field. Henderson has seen his minutes climb with three games of 33 minutes of more in his last four games because Gary Neal has shifted to more of a backup point guard. However, his numbers just don't translate in standard leagues. Give him a look in points leagues, though.
Feb 5 - 9:30 PM

Gerald Henderson made 2-of-8 from the field for six points with two assists, one steal and two turnovers in 22 minutes against the Cavs on Friday.

He had plenty of opportunity to put up numbers while the Hornets were hurt, but now he might lose his starting job. Owners in standard leagues had almost no reason to own him, but now owners in points leagues can consider cutting him now.
Jan 23 - 10:49 PM

Gerald Henderson scored a team-high 17 points during an easy 105-80 win on Monday over the Wolves with three rebounds, three assists and three 3-pointers.

He hasn't made a 3-pointer since Dec. 29 and his three today were a season high. That ineptitude from beyond the arc is a big reason why Henderson will have a tough time cracking top-100 value in standard leagues. His value is likely headed downward with the Hornets getting their guys back.
Jan 19 - 5:13 PM

Gerald Henderson scored 20 points with four rebounds, four assists and no turnovers in 33 minutes on 6-of-19 from the field against the Pacers on Saturday.

He played through his illness and it was likely to affect him today. While he has had some productive scoring games like this one, Henderson still hasn’t been in the top 150 for standard leagues. Leave him on the wire.
Jan 17 - 10:01 PM

Gerald Henderson (illness) will start on Saturday vs. the Pacers.

He wasn't able to practice on Friday, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the Hornets limit his minutes in this one. Henderson was barely worth owning when Lance Stephenson was injured, so his outlook doesn't look great moving forward. Owners in standard leagues can do better.
Jan 17 - 11:31 AM

Gerald Henderson (flu) did not practice on Friday.

We'll consider Henderson questionable for Saturday's game against Indiana, and if he's forced to sit, Lance Stephenson would likely slide back into the starting lineup. Stay tuned.
