Gerald Henderson made 2-of-8 from the field for six points with two assists, one steal and two turnovers in 22 minutes against the Cavs on Friday.
He had plenty of opportunity to put up numbers while the Hornets were hurt, but now he might lose his starting job. Owners in standard leagues had almost no reason to own him, but now owners in points leagues can consider cutting him now. Jan 23 - 10:49 PM

Gerald Henderson scored a team-high 17 points during an easy 105-80 win on Monday over the Wolves with three rebounds, three assists and three 3-pointers.

He hasn't made a 3-pointer since Dec. 29 and his three today were a season high. That ineptitude from beyond the arc is a big reason why Henderson will have a tough time cracking top-100 value in standard leagues. His value is likely headed downward with the Hornets getting their guys back.
Jan 19 - 5:13 PM

Gerald Henderson scored 20 points with four rebounds, four assists and no turnovers in 33 minutes on 6-of-19 from the field against the Pacers on Saturday.

He played through his illness and it was likely to affect him today. While he has had some productive scoring games like this one, Henderson still hasn’t been in the top 150 for standard leagues. Leave him on the wire.
Jan 17 - 10:01 PM

Gerald Henderson (illness) will start on Saturday vs. the Pacers.

He wasn't able to practice on Friday, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the Hornets limit his minutes in this one. Henderson was barely worth owning when Lance Stephenson was injured, so his outlook doesn't look great moving forward. Owners in standard leagues can do better.
Jan 17 - 11:31 AM

Gerald Henderson (flu) did not practice on Friday.

We'll consider Henderson questionable for Saturday's game against Indiana, and if he's forced to sit, Lance Stephenson would likely slide back into the starting lineup. Stay tuned.
Jan 16 - 12:52 PM

Gerald Henderson hit just 4-of-12 shots for 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in 30 minutes on Wednesday.

Henderson has been rolling along until tonight, and it probably wasn't a coincidence that Lance Stephenson was finally back in action tonight. Henderson was a nice plug-and-play while Stephenson was out, but now that Lance is back, it's hard to imagine Henderson being worth owning for much longer.
Jan 14 - 10:32 PM

Gerald Henderson's hot streak came to an abrupt halt on Saturday during an easy 110-82 win against the Knicks on Saturday with nine points, three rebounds, three assists and four turnovers.

It was all Kemba all the time for the Hornets today. Henderson busted out for 31 points on Thursday, which was an obvious fluke. While scoring 14.7 points per game in his last 10 is nice, it's still only made him a late-round guy because he does little else. If you own him and a hot free agent emerges, don't be too attached.
Jan 10 - 4:16 PM

Gerald Henderson scored a season-high 31 points against the Raptors on Thursday with five rebounds, three assists and two turnovers on 13-of-20 from the field in 38 minutes.

The Hornets needed all the minutes they could get out of Hendo and he delivered with an impressive 30.5 usage rate in that massive chunk of time. Henderson still hasn't been a great fantasy asset since Lance Stephenson (hip) went down, averaging 13.8 points, 4.1 boards, 3.8 assists and 0.6 steals, which put him as a ninth-round guy in fantasy leagues since Dec. 18. If he's still on the wire, he probably belongs there.
Jan 8 - 10:42 PM

Gerald Henderson had 16 points, seven rebounds, six assists and a block on 7-of-17 shooting in Wednesday's win.

Henderson is quietly averaging 13.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists over his last five games, but he'll take a hit once Lance Stephenson returns, is shooting 41 percent over that stretch, and doesn't hit 3-pointers. He's a marginal add at this point, but is playing pretty well for the Hornets.
Jan 7 - 10:31 PM

Gerald Henderson had 16 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal on 7-of-14 shooting Wednesday.

Henderson cooled off recently when he totaled just nine points last Friday and Saturday, but scored 19 points on Monday before tonight's quality game. His stat lines tend to be a bit shallow with a lack of threes and steals, but with Big Al Jefferson out indefinitely, Henderson could continue to score at a nice clip for a while.
Wed, Dec 31, 2014 10:16:00 PM

Gerald Henderson played 39 minutes in an overtime loss to the Bucks on Monday with 19 points, four rebounds, five assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer.

The Hornets are running out of bodies and Henderson is going to need to play as much as he can with Marvin Williams likely to get the vast majority of his playing time at power forward now. Henderson is more of a points league guy and has never really had great standard league value, so he's not a great pickup.
Mon, Dec 29, 2014 10:50:00 PM

Gerald Henderson hit just 1-of-7 shots for two points, three rebounds and five assists over 23 minutes in Friday's loss.

Henderson has serious fantasy deficiencies in standard leagues and he can't afford to have duds like this at all, so needless to say he belongs on the wire with Lance Stephenson (groin) targeting a return next week.
Sat, Dec 27, 2014 03:18:00 AM

Gerald Henderson scored 20 points in a win over the Bucks on Tuesday, adding four assists, two boards, one steal and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.

He was fantastic all night and was able to shoot 6-of-10 from the field while connecting on his only 3-point attempt. While this was a great performance, Henderson is very inconsistent and Lance Stephenson (hip) could be back after Christmas, so owners in standard leagues would be wise to leave him on the waiver wire.
Tue, Dec 23, 2014 11:09:00 PM

Gerald Henderson scored four points with six rebounds, two assists and one turnover in 19 minutes against the Nuggets.

It's pretty obvious his 17-point game on Saturday was a fluke. Henderson isn't really capable of posting big-time fantasy lines because he doesn't do much on defense and in treys, so leave him on the wire in standard formats.
Mon, Dec 22, 2014 10:28:00 PM

Gerald Henderson scored 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting in another start on Saturday, adding two boards, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.

He was great again tonight, and while he won't normally shoot this good, these numbers are what you should generally expect from him. Lance Stephenson (hip) will be sidelined at least until Dec. 26, so owners in need of short-term value should give Henderson a look.
