Patty Mills scored 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting with eight assists, four rebounds and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes on Friday vs. the Wizards.
Tony Parker (knee) was out again and Nicolas Laprovittola drew his second straight start, but Mills played 28 minutes for the second straight game and he's clearly the pickup here. Mills is playing for a new contract and is playing the best ball of his career, averaging 14.4 points, 3.8 assists and 2.6 treys over his last five games. He's worth owning in standard leagues right now. Dec 3 - 1:44 AM

Patty Mills said he's not worried about the fact that he's up for a new contract after the 2016-17 season.

Mills will become an unrestricted free agent after the season, but isn't letting that affect his play. "The feeling isn’t any different than any other year," he said. "My mindset is purely focused on this season and where we want to be. Nothing has changed." Mills won't be a fantasy star playing behind Tony Parker, but Parker will see more than his share of DNPs, which makes Mills worth owning in standard leagues.
Dec 1 - 9:08 AM

Patty Mills led the Spurs in scoring on Wednesday with 23 points off the bench, sinking 9-of-12 shots with five 3-pointers, four assists, three rebounds, one steal and two turnovers.

Tony Parker was on the active roster but he picked up a precautionary DNP-CD, which freed up Mills to play big minutes behind fill-in starter Nicolas Laprovittola. Mills was already a top-120 fantasy point guard, and the likelihood of more DNPs for Parker makes him a decent pickup despite his low ceiling.
Dec 1 - 12:23 AM

Patty Mills came up big during a win in Boston on Friday, scoring 19 points with one rebound, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes.

He closed down the stretch and he's been outplaying Tony Parker all season. Mills only gets six more minutes as a starter and he only scores one fewer point per game, so his value doesn't change too much on the nights Parker sits. He's a low-end hold in standard leagues with a somewhat low upside.
Nov 25 - 4:00 PM

Patty Mills scored 17 points with three rebounds, one assist, two steals and two triples in 30 minutes vs. the Mavericks on Monday.

He was 6-of-11 from the field and picked up some extra minutes with Tony Parker resting. Mills has slowed down recently and was held to single-digit points in two out of his last five games, but he's still a nice low-end option for owners specifically targeting triples.
Nov 21 - 11:50 PM

Updating a previous report, Patty Mills will come off the bench on Monday vs. the Mavs.

The Spurs are going to go with rookie Dejounte Murray in the first unit. Mills is still looking at a sizable workload and is the better option in fantasy leagues.
Nov 21 - 8:42 PM

Patty Mills will start in place of the resting Tony Parker on Monday vs. Dallas.

In four previous starts this season, Mills has posted averages of 11.5 points, 5.8 assists and 2.0 triples in 28.3 minutes. Rookie PG Dejounte Murray will back him up on Monday.
Nov 21 - 7:44 PM

Patty Mills scored 10 points with four assists, two rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes vs. the Pistons on Friday.

He outplayed the returning Tony Parker (knee) and saw five more minutes than him as well. The Spurs will play the Rockets on the second night of a back-to-back set on Saturday vs. Houston, so it's possible Mills gets another start if the Spurs rest Parker.
Nov 12 - 12:32 AM

Patty Mills scored eight points on 3-of-8 shooting on Wednesday, adding 10 assists and three rebounds in 34 minutes during a 101-99 loss to the visiting Rockets.

Tony Parker was out again with a sore knee, but he was a game-time decision and could return as soon as Friday's game vs. Detroit. Mills is a viable low-end PG in deeper leagues even when he's coming off the bench, given Parker's low playing time, but his DFS value will rise and fall based on Parker's availability.
Nov 10 - 12:30 AM

Patty Mills scored four points with three rebounds, five assists and two turnovers in 25 minutes against the Clippers on Saturday.

The Spurs were just bad all around on offense. Mills played 30 minutes on Friday, so that should be a better measuring stick for him. He's a short-term asset in 12-team leagues and is still worth a look in DFS as long as his price doesn't go up like it did on most sites today.
Nov 6 - 12:22 AM

Patty Mills scored 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting with three rebounds, three assists and four 3-pointers in 30 minutes in a win over the Jazz on Friday.

Unlike last season, coach Gregg Popovich isn't afraid to start Mills and his workload should be steady with Tony Parker (knee) out for at least a week. He's averaging 12.8 points, 2.7 assists and 2.8 treys this season, so he's worth owning in standard leagues, at least until both Parker and Danny Green (thigh) are back in the mix.
Nov 5 - 12:10 AM

Patty Mills played just 15 minutes on Tuesday, finishing with eight points, one rebound, two assists and a steal on 4-of-8 shooting.

A lack of minutes for Patty didn't help Tony Parker, who had just six points and six dimes in 33 minutes. Mills has been getting solid run and the low minutes were probably in lieu of a full day of rest, so expect him to bounce back soon.
Nov 2 - 12:12 AM

Patty Mills started for resting Tony Parker and hit 6-of-9 shots and four 3-pointers for 18 points and five assists in Saturday's easy win over the Pelicans.

Mills is a must-start any time Parker is out and he's a borderline play when Parker is in the lineup. If you own Parker, handcuffing Mills to him makes sense.
Oct 30 - 12:53 AM

Patty Mills will get the start for Tony Parker (rest) against the Pelicans on Saturday.

Besides Parker, Mills has received all of the non-garbage minutes at point guard for the Spurs. In the starting lineup, he should get minutes close to 30 while the Spurs promote Nicolas Laprovittola and could active Dejounte Murray. Mills makes a lot of sense for DFS today.
Oct 29 - 6:25 PM

Patty Mills played 18 minutes off the bench and hit 4-of-9 shots and three 3-pointers for 11 points, five assists and four steals in the Spurs win over the Warriors on Tuesday.

That's a nice start for Mills who should be on the radar in deeper leagues, especially once Parker starts logging some heavy minutes on his old body.
