Patty Mills made the start Saturday at Golden State, but he ended up with just seven points across 18 minutes.
Mills hit just 3-of-10 from the field, including 1-of-5 from behind the 3-point line, and he seems to look a lot more comfortable coming off of the bench. The good news is he did not turn the ball over, but he also didn't contribute much in the way of the other offensive categories, either. Even with Dejounte Murray and Tony Parker out, Mills posted a rather underwhelming line. Feb 10 - 11:08 PM

Patty Mills is starting vs. Golden State on Saturday night.

Coach Gregg Popovich joked that he should be allowed to start six guys with Derrick White also as an option -- White will come off the bench. Mills should be looking at huge minutes tonight with Dejounte Murray and Tony Parker out, but he's more of a lukewarm pickup.
Feb 10 - 7:15 PM

Patty Mills finished Wednesday's game with 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting, making 5-of-7 triples with three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in just 17 minutes.

Dejounte Murray (sprained left ankle) exited tonight's game early after a scary fall. He took his free throws and seems to have avoided serious damage, but we'll keep an eye out for updates in the next 48 hours -- the Spurs aren't going to take any chances with one of their young building blocks. Mills and Tony Parker are the clear beneficiaries if Murray does miss time, so keep an eye on the injury report prior to Saturday's game vs. Golden State.
Feb 8 - 1:43 AM

Patty Mills ended up with 11 points, two assists and a rebound over 23 minutes off the bench in Saturday's loss against the Jazz.

Mills has seen his playing time steadily settle into the 20-24 minutes neighborhood, but his production has been rather erratic. He remains a low-upside fantasy play in most deeper formats.
Feb 4 - 12:27 AM

Patty Mills scored four points with two rebounds, two assists and one turnover in 24 minutes against the Rockets on Thursday.

He did start the second half, but Mills won't see his role change too much regardless of who he plays next to. He's a low-upside deep player in fantasy.
Feb 2 - 12:17 AM

Patty Mills scored 13 points vs. the Raptors on Friday, but hit just 4-of-14 shots.

Tony Parker couldn't get anything going offensively, so we saw a lot of Mills and Dejounte Murray tonight. Mills played 28 minutes in the loss, adding four rebounds, one assist and one triple. Kawhi Leonard (quad) is out indefinitely, Rudy Gay (heel) is a couple weeks away and Manu Ginobili (bruised thigh) is day-to-day, so Mills will continue to benefit in their absence. He's still just a low-end option if you need triples and a handful of dimes.
Jan 19 - 9:45 PM

Patty Mills scored 25 points with two rebounds, two assists, three steals and a career-high seven 3-pointers in 26 minutes against the Nets on Wednesday.

He was 7-of-10 from the field, including his 7-of-8 from beyond the arc. Mills' numbers have trended down since November, so now he'll likely see Mills hit double-digit scoring more often while Kawhi Leonard (quad) is out. His upside still isn't high enough to warrant a pickup in most fantasy leagues.
Jan 17 - 11:28 PM

Patty Mills made 2-of-6 FGs and 2-of-2 FTs in 28 minutes on Sunday, finishing with seven points, two assists, one rebound and three turnovers.

Tony Parker was rested tonight, while Danny Green (groin) was out again due to injury, and Mills' role continues to shift based on who is available for San Antonio. "It's been tough for Patty," Gregg Popovich admitted recently. "He's been all over the place. He's trying to help us any way he can. It has hurt his numbers a little bit." Mills isn't even holding top-150 value in 9-cat leagues this season, and belongs on the wire in the bulk of fantasy leagues.

Jan 8 - 12:35 AM

Patty Mills scored a season-high 26 points on Wednesday, making 7-of-17 FGs and 8-of-8 FTs with four 3-pointers in 29 minutes of action.

Mills added one rebound, one assist, one steal and just one turnover, taking full advantage of the Spurs' gutted roster tonight. They were resting three starters in addition to Manu Ginobili, so this is just a one-off outburst from Mills. Pat yourself on the back if you plugged him into any lineups as a streaming value.
Jan 3 - 10:15 PM

Patty Mills came off the bench Thursday and hit 4-of-10 shots and three 3-pointers for 11 points and two rebounds in 26 minutes.

Mills went to the locker room briefly but returned to the game, with no mention of an injury. Tony Parker (11 points, 6 assists) is still on a minutes limit so Mills should have some good nights in the near future, but he's far from being a must-own player. But he has flirted with being a Top 100 guy, so he might make sense if you have a short-term need at point guard.

Patty Mills, who scored 11 points in the third quarter, went to the locker room at the start of the fourth quarter on Thursday, but then returned to the bench for the Spurs shortly thereafter.

Maybe he just had to go to the bathroom, but he has since returned to the game.
Fri, Dec 22, 2017 12:25:00 AM

Patty Mills scored 20 points with two rebounds, two assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 24 minutes against the Suns on Saturday.

He didn't get the rest treatment and he even shared the court with Dejounte Murray for a few minutes today. Mills' role isn't really going to change no matter who is out, but he's still flirting with top-100 value overall.
Sun, Dec 10, 2017 03:57:00 AM

Patty Mills didn't play in the second half on Sunday, as the Spurs rested most of their key players.

San Antonio basically challenged the NBA's front office to fine them tonight -- in a road game vs. OKC, they held out Rudy Gay (heel, rest), Tony Parker (rest) and LaMarcus Aldridge (rest). They also benched Mills and Pau Gasol for the second half, while limiting guys like Danny Green and Kyle Anderson. There's not much to glean from this game for fantasy purposes.

Patty Mills will come off the bench on Monday vs. Dallas.

Tony Parker is going to make his season debut, but he's coming off a serious injury and will have heavy restrictions for a while. Mills could hold onto some low-end value for his 3-point shooting, but that could change if the Spurs keep Dejounte Murray involved.
Mon, Nov 27, 2017 06:52:00 PM

Patty Mills scored two points with three rebounds, two assists, two steals and one turnover in 24 minutes against the Pelicans on Wednesday.

With Tony Parker (quad) getting closer to a return, Mills could move back into his normal bench role. He's been fairly decent in that role and the Spurs certainly won't be unleashing Parker, but Mills will likely take a smaller hit to his playing time. If you've been riding him at the end of your bench, you may want to get ready to look to someone else.
