Patty Mills scored nine points on 4-of-8 shooting Sunday, to go with one 3-pointer, two rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one turnover in 17 minutes off the bench.
Mills is worth owning as a 3-point specialist in deep leagues, but he doesn’t bring enough to the other areas of the box score to be considered a worthwhile standard-league asset. Tony Parker put up eight points, nine dimes and three boards in 20 minutes, and he can remain on the waiver wire just about everywhere. Feb 26 - 6:05 PM

Patty Mills dropped in 13 points, six assists, two boards and two steals in 18 minutes vs. Orlando on Wednesday.

The Spurs were rolling over the Magic early, so Tony Parker played only 23 minutes and no starter logged more than Dewayne Dedmon (29). Kyle Anderson, Jonathon Simmons and Davis Bertans all saw extra minutes tonight, but this game doesn't mean much for player evaluation purposes.
Feb 15 - 9:41 PM

Patty Mills scored 10 points with four rebounds, one assist and two 3-pointers in 16 minutes against the Nuggets on Saturday.

The Spurs guards just toyed with the Nuggets backcourt in this game in one of the most efficient nights you can find. Mills can get hot for weeks at a time, but he hasn't been worth owning in the past month.
Feb 5 - 1:48 AM

Patty Mills scored 20 points with four 3-pointers, three boards, two assists and one turnover in Monday's 112-86 win over the Nets.

Mills finished 7-of-13 from the field and did all of his damage in just 20 minutes off the bench. Rookie PG Dejounte Murray cooled off tonight and Mills scored 13 points with five assists and two triples in 31 minutes on Saturday vs. Cleveland, so he will be a streaming option on Tuesday vs. the Raptors if Tony Parker (foot) misses his fourth straight game.
Jan 23 - 10:12 PM

Patty Mills scored 13 points with three rebounds, five assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes against the Cavs on Saturday

With Tony Parker (ankle) set to miss time, Mills will get a better chance for minutes. Although, Dejounte Murray has been fantastic, so Mills may actually not benefit at all.
Jan 22 - 12:04 AM

Patty Mills scored three points with one rebound, two assists and one 3-pointer against the Nuggets on Thursday.

Dejounte Murray isn't going to go off every night, so expect Mills to be better when Tony Parker (foot) doesn't play. Keep an eye on Parker's status for Saturday, but he is traveling to play in Cleveland.
Jan 19 - 11:49 PM

Patty Mills (left calf tightness) returned from a one-game absence on Tuesday vs. the Wolves and scored 11 points in 19 minutes.

His injury is minor and it sounds like he was rested against the Suns on Saturday. He saw a couple minutes less than normal tonight, but was still productive with four assists, one rebound and three triples on 4-of-10 shooting. Tony Parker is playing better these days, so he's the PG you want to own in San Antonio unlike earlier in the season. We'll let you know when that changes.
Jan 17 - 11:21 PM

Patty Mills (left calf tightness) said that he will play vs. the Wolves on Tuesday.

He said he's been experiencing tightness in his calf for a while, so that might explain his recent dip in production. Assuming he's good to go for Tuesday, Mills should see his normal workload of minutes in the 20s. Give him a look if you need to stream a couple 3-pointers.
Jan 16 - 2:02 PM

Patty Mills (left calf tightness) will not play against the Suns on Saturday.

Mills doesn't have any noteworthy calf issues in his career, so this is something new. The Spurs can rest him today to give him four full days off before their game on Tuesday against the Wolves. With Dejounte Murray also out, the Spurs will have to be creative with their backup point guard. It would likely be Manu Ginobili while Tony Parker could get a few extra minutes in a great matchup tonight.
Jan 14 - 3:06 PM

With Tony Parker resting, Patty Mills went off for 23 points on 7-of-9 shooting in Friday's 110-90 win over the Blazers.

Mills spent his first two seasons in Portland, so he got some revenge tonight along with LaMarcus Aldridge, as the two combined for 41 points. The 23 points matched a season-high for Mills, and he also added five assists, three rebounds, two steals and five triples in 28 minutes. He's the best PG to own in San Antonio even when Parker plays.

Patty Mills scored 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting with four assists, three steals and four triples in just 16 minutes against the Nets on Saturday.

The Spurs toasted the Nets by 29 points, so that explains the low minutes. Mills has scored 15+ points in three straight games with a combined 10 triples and seven steals in that span, so he's still the PG to own in San Antonio despite a decent game for Tony Parker tonight.
Sun, Dec 11, 2016 12:21:00 AM

Patty Mills scored 16 points with two rebounds, one assist, two steals and four 3-pointers in 24 minutes against the Bulls on Thursday.

He's having a fantastic season and moved back into the top five for true shooting percentage tonight. Mills' playing time only gets a few extra minutes in the nights Tony Parker is out, so he doesn't get a big bump to his floor. He also didn't go the line tonight, so he doesn't qualify for the league lead in free throw percentage with his 94.1. He has top-100 value in standard leagues and is a low-end hold.

Patty Mills came off the bench and hit 6-of-13 shots and two 3-pointers for 15 points, four rebounds, five assists and two steals in Tuesday's win over the Wolves.

Tony Parker is going to miss time with a knee injury and while Mills is coming off the bench, he's the guy you want to own in Parker's absence. He was awful in his last game, missing all eight of his shots for one point on Monday, but was much better in this one. And while Nicolas Laprovittola is starting for Parker, Mills is the guy Gregg Popovich wants to run the offense. Pick him up if you need a point guard.

Patty Mills scored 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting with eight assists, four rebounds and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes on Friday vs. the Wizards.

Tony Parker (knee) was out again and Nicolas Laprovittola drew his second straight start, but Mills played 28 minutes for the second straight game and he's clearly the pickup here. Mills is playing for a new contract and is playing the best ball of his career, averaging 14.4 points, 3.8 assists and 2.6 treys over his last five games. He's worth owning in standard leagues right now.
Sat, Dec 3, 2016 01:44:00 AM

Patty Mills said he's not worried about the fact that he's up for a new contract after the 2016-17 season.

Mills will become an unrestricted free agent after the season, but isn't letting that affect his play. "The feeling isn’t any different than any other year," he said. "My mindset is purely focused on this season and where we want to be. Nothing has changed." Mills won't be a fantasy star playing behind Tony Parker, but Parker will see more than his share of DNPs, which makes Mills worth owning in standard leagues.
