Patty Mills scored a game-high 16 points off the bench in Tuesday's blowout win over the Grizzlies, shooting 5-of-8 from the field with two assists and four 3-pointers.
The Spurs have been taking care of business early in this series, but Mills has still only played 19 minutes in each contest and the Spurs used all 13 of their active players tonight. That being said, he did score 15 points with three treys in Game 1, so he's at least worth deploying while he's hot. Tony Parker added six points, four assists, one board and one steal in 23 minutes. Patty Mills scored 17 points off the bench on Monday against the Grizzlies with one rebound, four assists and three 3-pointers in 22 minutes.

He didn't play against the Grizzlies on Friday and got it going against them tonight. Mills should have a few more good games in him the rest of the way, but the schedule is against him in the short term with only two more games this week -- both at home hurts the chance for rest, too. He's still a hold.
Mar 29 - 12:31 AM

Patty Mills started at point guard on Saturday vs. the Thunder and scored 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting, adding two boards and two triples.

He didn't have a single assist, but he only turned the ball over once and saw a team-high 31 minutes. This wasn't a great performance by Mills, but he should get another chance to redeem himself because Tony Parker (rest) will not play on Monday vs. the Grizzlies. If you need 3-pointers, give Mills a look.
Mar 26 - 11:01 PM

Patty Mills, Danny Green, Kyle Anderson, Boris Diaw and Boban Marjanovic will start vs. the Thunder on Saturday.

This lineup is too much fun. The Spurs are resting Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, LaMarcus Aldridge and Manu Ginobili, while Kawhi Leonard (quad) is still out. Mills could see around 30 minutes for the shorthanded Spurs, so he's worth a look in DFS or for any owner in need of treys and assists.

Patty Mills (rest) will not suit up for Friday's game against the Grizzlies.

Mills absence should open up some minutes for Andre Miller, but with Tony Parker healthy, that doesn't mean much. Expect Mills to return to action Saturday vs. OKC.
Mar 24 - 7:18 PM

Patty Mills was excellent vs. the Clippers on Tuesday with 15 points and six assists in a 108-87 win.

Tony Parker was terrible with just four points on 1-of-5 shooting, so Mills gave the Spurs a lift tonight. He was an efficient 6-of-9 from the field with five boards and two 3-pointers and he didn't turn the ball over in 23 minutes. Mills was held to single-digit points in his previous three games, but he could be a sneaky source of points, assists and 3-pointers down the stretch if the Spurs rest their veterans often.
Mar 15 - 11:18 PM

Patty Mills came off the bench so that Andre Miller, who is possibly old enough to be Mills' father, could start.

Mills played 18 minutes and hit 3-of-11 shots for seven points, four assists and a 3-pointer. If you started Mills with the knowledge that Tony Parker was sitting this one out, we're sorry. The bottom line is that regardless of who is in or out for the Spurs, you still never know what the coaching staff will do from night to night.
Mar 8 - 11:39 PM

Patty Mills logged 22 minutes against the Pacers on Monday with 17 points, four rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers.

He was thriving while Manu Ginobili was out and now he might get a few extra minutes with Tony Parker (toe) getting hurt. Mills should be owned in standard leagues, especially with the likelihood of resting starters increasing the rest of the way.
Mar 7 - 9:52 PM

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said that Patty Mills has become a better-decision maker.

"He’s become a better leader, a better-decision maker," Popovich said. "He’s not just a scorer, a shooter. He’s getting to play the complete kind of game." Mills has played well since the All-Star break with averages of 10.1 points, 4.4 assists, 1.6 boards, 0.9 steals and 2.0 treys per game, and it's possible that he could have a larger role down the stretch since the Spurs will want to keep Tony Parker fresh for the postseason. If you need help at guard, Mills is worth owning right now.
Mar 5 - 12:26 PM

Patty Mills scored nine points with four rebounds, eight assists, three steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes against the Pelicans on Thursday.

He's been sneaky good. Even though Manu Ginobili should be back next week, Mills' playing time should be able to stay in the low 20s. He's surprisingly put up sixth-round value in the past 30 days, so he's worth owning right now.
Mar 3 - 11:12 PM

Patty Mills scored 11 points vs. the Jazz on Thursday with one board, one assist and three 3-pointers in 17 minutes.

He usually only gets minutes in the teens or lower 20s, but he has been hot from beyond the arc with an average of 2.8 triples per game over his last five. If you're in a deep league and could use some treys, give him a look. On a side note, keep him in mind if Tony Parker misses any games down the stretch for rest purposes.
Feb 26 - 1:34 AM

Gregg Popovich said Patty Mills is beginning to regain his confidence.

"Patty’s starting to look like he did the year before, before his injury," Popovich said. "He’s starting to get his confidence." Mills has really played well in February without Manu Ginobili (groin) in the lineup, averaging 14.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.8 3-pointers on 50.5 percent shooting. He deserves to be given a longer look than most are willing to provide while he's playing this well.
Feb 22 - 1:23 PM

Patty Mills lit up the Suns for 21 points in 23 minutes off the bench on Sunday, making 6-of-13 shots with six 3-pointers, five assists, three rebounds and just one turnover.

San Antonio went small often tonight with Kawhi Leonard (calf) on the shelf, but Mills has carved out a solid 20-24 minute role even when they're playing at full strength. In eight February games, Mills is averaging 13.5 points, 2.4 threes, 3.1 boards, 3.8 assists and 0.9 steals. He's also shooting lights out during that span, and is a sneaky play until he cools off.
Feb 21 - 8:23 PM

Patty Mills made the most of his 26 minutes on Friday, registering 15 points, seven assists, three 3-pointers, one steal, one rebound and three turnovers off the bench.

Despite earning just 23.9 minutes per game over the past month, Mills has mustered up eighth-round value in 9-cat leagues behind averages of 12.4 points, 4.2 assists, 2.4 three-pointers and 1.0 turnover per game. He's someone to consider swooping up in deep leagues while he's this hot.
Feb 20 - 4:12 AM

Patty Mills stepped up for the short-handed Spurs on Wednesday with 17 points, three 3-pointers, six rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block in 31 minutes off the bench.

Ray McCallum started at PG in place of Tony Parker (ankle), but it was Mills who steered the ship while San Antonio erased a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter. Parker should be healthy on the other side of the All-Star break, however, so this doesn't have any implications for Mills' outlook.
