Sam Young returned to action on Friday and didn't score in 11 minutes.

The Pacers had to waive him with a severely sprained ankle on January 6, but they were able to bring him back. Young has no fantasy value, especially with Lance Stephenson playing well.

Sam Young said his ankle feels fine, but he'll sit out Wednesday because the coaches want him to go through a full practice.

The Pacers re-signed the former second-round pick on Monday after waiving him earlier in January. Young has averaged 6.3 points and 2.4 rebounds in his career and doesn't present much fantasy value at all.

The former second-round pick was waived by Indiana after he severely sprained his ankle in early January, an injury he's "still working" to overcome. He's averaged 6.3 points and 2.4 rebounds in his career and he's not a fantasy consideration.

Young was waived before his contract was guaranteed after sustaining an ankle injury, but he's on the mend and the Pacers will probably look to bring him back onto the roster.

Young's evaluation of his severely sprained ankle is expected to keep him out for multiple weeks, so the Pacers opted to waive him and they'll be on the prowl for another wing to fill their thing rotation at that spot.

The Pacers are expected to release Sam Young (ankle).

He's out indefinitely and the Pacers were expected to evaluate him this weekend, so perhaps that didn't go well for Young. He played 16 minutes per game in 28 games, so those minutes could be dispersed among Paul George, Lance Stephenson and Gerald Green. The Pacers could also take a look at recently-release Dominic McGuire.

Young failed to score double-digit points in December, and he's shooting horribly from both the field (38.8 percent) and the free throw line (40.0 percent) this season.

He missed Friday's game against Phoenix and doesn't have much value to begin with. Lance Stephenson is coming off a nice game on Friday and figures to be a factor again in Atlanta, but he's not worth a look in standard leagues just yet.

Sam Young will not play against the Suns on Sunday due to flu-like symptoms.

Young doesn't really rate in most formats, so his absence shouldn't either. Frank Vogel said he'll go with a three-man rotation on the wing Friday, meaning more minutes for Paul George, Lance Stephenson and Gerald Green, who returns from an ankle injury.

Sam Young scored 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including two threes) with five rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 25 minutes off the bench on Friday against the Kings.

Young's numbers aren't worth pursuing in anything but the deepest formats, but it's worth noting that his offensive game looks a lot better than in prior years. If he can do this with any consistency, and not against the defensive sieves known as the Kings, then we'll let you know.

Sam Young played 35 minutes off the bench on Monday, scoring nine points on 4-of-10 shooting (1-of-6 3PTs) with eight rebounds and one assist.

Young is playing with a lot of confidence right now and has posted three straight deep league specials, but it's anybody's guess if he can keep that up.

Young had a lot go right for him tonight and so did the Pacers, but we still need to see him do this again before we pay him any attention.
