Darren Collison scored 25 points with three rebounds, one assist, two steals and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes against the Nets on Friday.
There was a minor fall and he banged his knee, but he didn't seem bothered by it after that. Besides that, he was great and played 12 minutes at shooting guard. Collison's playing time has dwindled lately and it's caused his output to drop, too. Nobody else is doing much on the wing, so maybe DC gets hot again. Just keep an eye on him for now because Rudy Gay's injury seems minor. Feb 5 - 11:52 PM

Darren Collison scored 20 points off the bench during Saturday's loss to the Grizzlies, adding two boards, two assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes.

Rajon Rondo fouled out after 32 minutes, so Collison led the Kings on a furious rally down the stretch and he finished 7-of-14 from the field. Collison was held to single-digit points in his previous two games, but he took advantage of some extra shots with Marco Belinelli (illness) on the shelf. We'd like to see him do it again, but Collison is nothing more than a low-end asset in standard leagues while Rondo is healthy.
Jan 30 - 11:34 PM

Darren Collison played 26 minutes with eight points, one rebound, three assists, one steal and no turnovers against the Pelicans on Thursday.

The Kings going with bigger lineups has really hurt Collison. DeMarcus Cousins takes a ton of shots and Rajon Rondo is logging huge minutes, so the opportunity has dried up a lot for the other DC on the Kings. He might be a little better, but the lower upside suggests his owners shouldn't be married to him.
Jan 29 - 12:14 AM

Darren Collison was excellent off the bench on Saturday vs. the Clippers, scoring 17 points with five assists, four boards, one steal and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

He really needed this performance after scoring just three points on Thursday vs. the Jazz. However, he is only getting 26.6 minutes per game over his last five, averaging 9.8 points, 3.6 assists, 2.6 boards, 0.8 steals and 1.2 3-pointers. As long as Rajon Rondo is active, Collison is more of a low-end asset.
Jan 17 - 1:35 AM

Darren Collison scored 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting vs. the Warriors on Saturday, adding six assists, two boards, one steal and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes.

He had the ball in his hands a little more this game because Rajon Rondo got into some foul trouble. Collison was awful on Thursday vs. the Lakers with just three points in 18 minutes, so he really needed this performance. Collison is worth owning in standard leagues.
Jan 10 - 1:43 AM

Darren Collison scored three points with two rebounds, two assists, three turnovers and one 3-pointer in 18 minutes against the Lakers on Thursday.

He only played 5.4 minutes next to Rajon Rondo tonight, which is very unusual. In the Kings' previous 14 games, Collison was playing 14.5 minutes per game next to Rondo. His owners shouldn't press the panic button here and consider him as a hold.
Jan 8 - 2:03 AM

Darren Collison double-doubled in Tuesday's loss to the Mavericks, scoring 14 points on 6-of-14 shooting with 12 assists, four boards and two steals.

Collison drew the start in place of Rajon Rondo (back spasms), but it still isn't clear if he will miss any additional time. In three previous starts this season, Collison averaged 12.0 points, 6.7 assists, 3.3 boards, 1.3 steals and 0.7 3-pointers, so tonight's line wasn't a surprise. He needs to be owned in all leagues.
Jan 6 - 12:47 AM

Darren Collison will start on Tuesday vs. the Mavericks.

Rajon Rondo is sitting this one out due to back spasms, so Collison could see close to 40 minutes Tuesday. In three previous starts this season, Collison has averages of 12.0 points, 6.7 assists, 3.3 boards, 1.3 steals and 0.7 3-pointers. Get him in your lineup.
Jan 5 - 8:38 PM

Darren Collison scored 21 points during a 142-119 win over the Suns on Saturday, adding two rebounds, six assists and two 3-pointers in 29 minutes.

He had way too many easy buckets in transition. Collison has been able to string some games together in his last five, averaging 16.2 points, 3.8 boards, 5.6 dimes, 1.4 steals and 1.2 treys in 30.8 minutes. He's not going to break out, but Collison has enough value to be owned in standard leagues.
Jan 2 - 8:16 PM

Darren Collison blew up for a season-high 24 points in 35 minutes on Wednesday, knocking down 11-of-17 FGs with two 3-pointers, four rebounds, five assists, one steal and only one turnover.

He torched the Pacers from all over the court, going 2-of-5 from downtown, 3-of-3 from mid-range, and 6-of-9 within two feet of the hoop. He's been running hot for the past month and deserves to be owned as a late-round source of scoring, 3-pointers, assists and percentages.

Darren Collison moved back to the bench and was effective on Friday, scoring 15 points with one assist and two 3-pointers.

He made 6-of-10 from the field, but had kind of an empty stat line. Collison does get about 13.9 minutes per game next to Rajon Rondo on the year, so he should be able to hang around 25-28 minutes. He's a flirting with top-100 value on the year, but doesn't have a big upside.

Darren Collison looked fantastic in a start at point guard on Tuesday vs. the Rockets, double-doubling with 14 points, a season-high 13 assists, seven boards, one steal and one 3-pointer in 41 minutes.

Rajon Rondo served his one-game suspension tonight, so it should be noted that Collison will return to the bench for Friday's contest against the Wolves. Regardless, Collison's talent was on full display in Tuesday's win and he was averaging 13.6 points and 4.0 assists and 1.2 3-pointers in his previous five games, so he's worth owning in standard leagues. On a less positive note, Collison also turned the ball over eight times.

Darren Collison will start on Tuesday vs. the Rockets as expected.

Rajon Rondo is serving his one-game suspension, so Collison is going to play some heavy minutes and will be a popular play in DFS. Collison is averaging 13.6 points and 4.0 assists in his last five games, so he's worth owning in standard leagues if you need a low-end guard.
Tue, Dec 15, 2015 10:01:00 PM

Darren Collison is expected to start Tuesday vs. the Rockets, with Rajon Rondo serving his one-game suspension.

It's not official, but it would be truly shocking to see head coach George Karl go in another direction with Rondo unavailable. Collison could see close to 40 minutes tonight, making him a very intriguing DFS play. Ben McLemore and Marco Belinelli should also get some extended run tonight with Rondo on the sidelines.
Tue, Dec 15, 2015 06:43:00 PM

Darren Collison scored 16 points against the Knicks on Thursday with one rebound, three assists and two turnovers in 25 minutes.

The Kings continue to keep the rotation tight as a drum and Collison picked up 17 minutes next to Rajon Rondo tonight. Collison isn't lighting it up really anywhere, so he's more of a 14-team guy in most leagues. Although, Rondo playing so many minutes makes him a bigger injury risk.
