Darren Collison (quad) will not play Tuesday vs. the Pelicans, and Ramon Sessions will start.
Sessions will be asked to step it up on the offensive end tonight with Rudy Gay (Achilles) also sidelined, and he makes for a solid option in daily leagues. Ray McCallum will see some extended minutes off the bench, but Sessions is the guy to own here. Nov 25 - 6:57 PM

Darren Collison (quad contusion) is being listed as questionable for Tuesday's game vs. the Pelicans.

If Collison is unable to go, Ramon Sessions (right knee strain) would slide into the starting lineup, and would make for a solid plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Sessions put up 18 points, three rebounds, and two 3-pointers during his last start, but he also failed to register a single assist making him a more attractive option in points leagues. Ray McCallum would also see some extended run off the bench.

Darren Collison (quad) and Ramon Sessions (knee) are questionable to play against the Pelicans on Tuesday.

He has a contusion to his thigh and he was able to play through it on Saturday. Collision has been a pleasant surprise with 30 assists to go with just five turnovers. if he and Sessions are out, Ray McCallum will be logging some serious minutes.

Darren Collison played terrific ball on both ends of the floor against the Bulls on Thursday during a 103-88 win with 17 points, six rebounds, 12 assists, one steal, one block and one turnover.

The Kings had a season-high 26 assists as a team tonight and had six players in double figures. They still rank 27th in the NBA for assists per game, but at least it's a step up from last in 2013-14. Collison has been a steal for his fantasy owners as a top-50 player despite sub-par shooting and it's become abundantly clear he has no competition for his starter's minutes.
Nov 21 - 2:03 AM

Darren Collison scored 19 points with two rebounds, five assists and two steals in 39 minutes against the Spurs on Saturday.

He scored 20 points on Thursday and has been great so far this year. Nobody really thought Collison was a great pickup by the Kings especially with Isaiah Thomas being signed relatively cheap, but he's worth owning in all standard leagues and should outperform his ADP.
Nov 16 - 2:57 AM

Darren Collison scored 20 points in a 111-110 loss to the Grizzlies on Thursday with two rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

He missed Tuesday due to a shoulder injury and thrived in what's usually a tough matchup for point guards. While Collison has really struggled with his jumper, no player has dished out more assists to DeMarcus Cousins, which is paramount in the SAC offense. He's a low-end No. 2 fantasy point guard.
Nov 14 - 12:20 AM

Darren Collison (shoulder) will play and start on Thursday as the Kings take on the Grizzlies.

Collison's return to the starting lineup will send Ramon Sessions back to the bench, and owners in standard leagues can go ahead and send Sessions back to the waiver wire. Collison has gotten off to a hot start this season, averaging 14.7 points, 6.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. Get him in your lineups.
Nov 13 - 6:47 PM

Darren Collison (shoulder) has been upgraded to probable for Thursday's game vs. the Grizzlies.

Collison was a full participant during Wednesday's practice, and all signs are pointing towards him giving it a go Thursday night. If Collison returns, Ramon Sessions will head to the bench and go back to being irrelevant in standard leagues. Stay tuned for an official update on Collison's status as we draw closer to Thursday's tip-off.
Nov 13 - 3:02 PM

Darren Collison (shoulder) practiced on Wednesday and is expected to play against the Grizzlies on Thursday.

He was a game-time decision on Tuesday and was ruled out after warming up, but he will still have to play through some discomfort. Collison has been terrific and is fitting in nicely with DeMarcus Cousins as more of an off-ball guy. He should be owned in all leagues, but he might not play well on Thursday in a sub-par matchup. If you added Ramon Sessions, you can probably look elsewhere.
Nov 12 - 3:14 PM

Darren Collison (shoulder) is out for Tuesday's game and Ramon Sessions will draw the start.

He was upgraded to a game-time decision earlier on Tuesday but will now sit out as he battles stiffness in his shoulder. He will likely be fine with a little rest and the injury isn't considered serious. Sessions makes for an excellent plug-and-play option while we also may get a good look at Ray McCallum. Consider Collison day-to-day for now and we will update his status as needed.
Nov 11 - 7:49 PM

Darren Collision has been upgraded to a game-time decision and he'll test his stiff shoulder during pre-game warmups before making a decision.

The injury isn't serious but Collison was listed as 'doubtful' earlier in the day, with the Kings giving him just a 25 percent chance of playing. His improved status makes Ramon Sessions a riskier fill-in fantasy option, but we're unlikely to learn Collison's status until just prior to the 8:30 ET tip-off. Stay tuned.
Nov 11 - 7:17 PM

Darren Collison (left shoulder stiffness) is being listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game vs. Dallas.

The Kings are saying there's just a 25 percent chance that Collison suits up on Tuesday, however, the injury is not considered serious. If Collison is forced to sit this one out, Ramon Sessions would draw the start in his place and makes for an excellent plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Ray McCallum would also likely see some extended run off the bench, so stay tuned for an official update on Collison's status as we draw closer to Tuesday's tip.
Nov 11 - 2:24 PM

Darren Collison scored 21 points in the Kings' 110-105 win over the dumpster fire known as the Denver Nuggets on Monday, hitting 5-of-9 shots (11-of-13 FTs) with four rebounds, six assists and one steal in 30 minutes.

Collison made a living off the line in a game that included 63 fouls and a whopping 80 free throw attempts. He has faced a group of guards including Steph Curry, Damian Lillard (ab strain), Chris Paul (ankle) and struggling/injured Ty Lawson, so there is some concern that things will tighten up as the opposition does. Still, he's the clear No. 3 option for an offense with plenty of inconsistent players, and looks like a solid mid-to-late round value.
Nov 4 - 1:02 AM

Following Sunday's win against his former Clippers team, Darren Collison said the Kings made him their top priority in free agency.

Collison hit a big shot to ice the game, and he very noticeably glared in the direction of the Clippers bench afterwards. Following the game, Collison said the Kings made him a priority while the Clippers put his return on the backburner. The new Kings starter credited both Chris Paul and Doc Rivers for helping his game grow. Through three games, he's averaging 14.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 2.7 steals on 36.8% shooting.
Nov 3 - 8:58 AM

Darren Collison had an alright game vs. the Clippers on Sunday, scoring 14 points to go along with five rebounds, four assists, a block, and three turnovers.

He also shot just 4-of-12 from the field, which has been a problem to start the year. Through the first three games of the season Collison is shooting just 36.8 percent, but you have to think those shots will eventually start falling. Aside from his poor shooting percentages, Collison has been able to provide decent low-end point guard stats (6.6 assists per game), and barring any trade, he should only get better as the year goes on.
