The Spurs will reportedly workout Victor Claver within the next few days.
Claver owns career averages of 3.2 point and 2.2 rebounds per game on 39.8 percent shooting from the field. Even if he does manage to secure a minimum-level deal with the Spurs, he'll remain a negligible option in fantasy hoops. Jun 12 - 12:42 PM

The Nuggets are planning to waive newly acquired Victor Claver according to Marc. J Spears of Yahoo Sports.

He was brought over in a trade with Portland, but it appears that the Nuggets never intended on keeping him. We will let you know when the deal becomes official, but it's safe to leave Claver on the wire in all but the deepest of leagues.
Feb 21 - 9:04 AM

Victor Claver was traded from Portland to Denver as part of Thursday's five-player swap.

Claver was joined by Will Barton, Thomas Robinson and a first-round pick, while the Trail Blazers got Arron Afflalo and Alonzo Gee. It's a solid move for both teams, giving Denver young talent and a valuable pick while shoring up the Blazers' shaky second unit. Deep-league owners should keep an eye on Claver but he's unlikely to hold any value this season.
Feb 19 - 11:31 AM

Victor Claver played 12 minutes against the Celtics on Thursday with five points, two rebounds, one block and one 3-pointer.

He is likely going to be in the rotation now with the Blazers essentially losing 70 minutes per game because LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) and Nicolas Batum (wrist) are hurt. Claver's minutes will be sparse and unpredictable, so he's only worth a look in extremely deep leagues.
Jan 23 - 2:22 AM

Victor Claver started the second half of Monday's game for injured LaMarcus Aldridge, but finished with just three points and three rebounds in seven minutes.

Owners outside of ridiculously deep formats can wait-and-see if he can earn a role, assuming Aldridge misses significant time with his thumb injury.
Jan 20 - 3:09 AM

Victor Claver started the second half for LaMarcus Aldridge (hand) on Monday against the Kings.

Claver had not played in the first half, highlighting the dearth of options the Blazers have to back up the big man slots. We'll let you know if Claver does anything to justify your attention, but as of now both Robin Lopez and Chris Kaman should be owned across the board, Meyers Leonard is worth a hard look in 12-team formats, and then Thomas Robinson, Dorell Wright and currently injured Joel Freeland are worth a look in 14-16 team formats. Kings TV announcer Grant Napear said he was told there is concern the Aldridge injury is serious.

Victor Claver's representatives are reportedly "scouring the NBA" for trade opportunities.

Claver has resisted a buyout and seems to prefer staying in the NBA, but he's simply not part of coach Terry Stott's rotation in Portland. It's unclear if there's any interest in him around the league and he's a dubious fantasy option no matter where he finishes the season.

Victor Claver said he doesn't plan on seeking a buyout from the Blazers.

"I have one more year on my contract and I want to play one more year," Claver said. He played a total of seven minutes in the playoffs -- all garbage time -- and rarely finds himself in the rotation while the Blazers are healthy. He added he plans on playing with the Spanish national team this summer and not in Las Vegas Summer League. If he wants playing time at the NBA level, the Blazers probably aren't the best place for him.

Terry Stotts said that he'll likely place Victor Claver and Allen Crabbe on the inactive list for Sunday's game vs. the Rockets.

Even if these guys were in uniform, it's highly unlikely either would step on the court. These are simply emergency depth guys and they're not the type of players that have an impact on games.

Victor Claver came off the bench for 13 points, five rebounds and a 3-pointer on 5-of-7 shooting in 22 minutes on Wednesday.

Claver was playing heavy minutes tonight for several reasons, including the absence of LaMarcus Aldridge and Thomas Jones, along with the fact the Blazers won 124-80 over a terrible Nets' team. We hadn't blurbed Claver since 2013 and there's a reason for it.

Blazers forward Victor Claver said that he'll consider returning to Europe if he's not earning playing time once his current NBA contract expires.

"I want to feel like I'm part of a team and that I can help the team win. For the moment, this season, I’m not doing it," Claver said. "If I’m still not playing [couple years from now], I will have to think of other options because I’m not going to be on the bench. I’m not a coach. I want to play. That’s what everybody wants to do." He has yet to attempt a field goal this season, as he's buried on Terry Stotts' bench.

Victor Claver will play on Tuesday after missing Sunday's game with a right quad contusion.

Obviously, he should be fine for the start of the real season, but he's going to struggle to see enough minutes to offer fantasy value. Ignore him on draft day, unless he goes nuts in Summer League and preseason.

Victor Claver will not play on Sunday due to a right quad contusion.

He suffered it on Saturday night and did not return to the game. Claver said that he's feeling better, but he's not quite ready. The Blazers added a little more depth during free agency and the draft, so Claver will have an even tougher time getting consistent minutes during the regular season.
