Date:

Jeff Ayres has signed with CSKA Moscow.

Ayres spent the summer training with the Spurs, but the 29-year-old forward will be able to find a much larger role overseas than he would in the NBA.

Sep 22 - 9:49 AM

Jeff Ayres has been training with the Spurs.

He was on the Spurs championship team in 2014 and only played 17 games with the Clippers last season. Ayres will likely wind up on the camp roster.
Sep 14 - 7:19 PM

Jeff Ayres took part in the Lakers free agent camp on Wednesday.

Ayres last played with the Clippers and could now earn himself a camp invite with the Lakers. While he could play his way into a contract for the 2016-17 season, Ayres would only be a bench player for Los Angeles and isn't on the fantasy radar.

Aug 18 - 9:39 AM

The Clippers will reportedly sign Jeff Ayres to a contract that will keep him with the team for the remainder of the season.

He'll add some depth to the Clippers' frontcourt, but he has no fantasy value in any setting.
Mar 15 - 3:01 PM

The Clippers have signed Jeff Ayres to a second 10-day contract.

Ayres has made just three brief appearances for the Clippers since signing his first 10-day pact, and he is well off the radar in all settings.
Feb 2 - 6:19 PM

Jeff Ayres will be signed to a second 10-day contract on Sunday.

The D-League All-Star has made two brief appearances for the Clippers, so he isn't on the fantasy radar. If he plays well this week the Clippers could potentially sign him for the remainder of the season.
Jan 31 - 1:53 PM

Jeff Ayres made his Clippers debut on Sunday, scoring two points with one rebound and one assist in five minutes of garbage time.

Ayres could crack Doc Rivers' rotation, especially with Blake Griffin not guaranteed to return on Tuesday, but he's a non-factor in fantasy leagues.
Jan 24 - 9:01 PM

The Clippers have signed center Jeff Ayres to a 10-day contract.

The Clippers traded away Josh Smith to the Rockets on Friday, so they needed to add some depth behind Blake Griffin (quad) and DeAndre Jordan. Ayres was playing in the D-League where he was the first overall selection in their draft, but he is looking at a very limited role off the bench in Los Angeles at best. Leave him on the wire.
Jan 22 - 12:35 PM

Jeff Ayres was the first overall selection in the 2015 D-League draft.

Ayres had agreed to a deal overseas, but he is back in the states and trying to use the D-League in order to return to the NBA. He'll play for the Idaho Stampede.

Jeff Ayres signed a one-year deal to play in China.

Ayres averaged just 7.5 minutes per game in 51 appearances for the Spurs last season, so his absence won't have any fantasy implications. We will be tracking his progress overseas, but it's safe to ignore him in all fantasy leagues.

Jeff Ayres (personal) will be available to play vs. the Mavericks on Tuesday.

Ayres missed Sunday's game vs. the Hawks for personal reasons, but he is back with the team and ready to go. That being said, he is not a consistent part of the rotation and isn't a lock to see any action tonight, meaning he belongs on the wire in all but the deepest of leagues.
Tue, Mar 24, 2015 07:16:00 PM

Jeff Ayres (personal) was not with the team for Sunday's game vs. the Hawks, and he will not play vs. the Mavericks on Tuesday.

Ayers isn't a part of the rotation anyways, so his absence has no fantasy implications. If Ayers is on your roster, your team probably isn't very good.
Sun, Mar 22, 2015 06:49:00 PM

Jeff Ayres scored a season-high 16 points with four rebounds and one block vs. Detroit on Tuesday, logging 17 minutes off the Spurs' bench.

Backup big man Aron Baynes (neck) wasn't available and Ayres took full advantage of the increased playing time, hitting 5-of-8 FGs and 6-of-7 FTs in the Spurs' tough loss. Baynes is day-to-day and there's no reason to consider Ayres in standard leagues even if Baynes misses more games.
Tue, Jan 6, 2015 11:24:00 PM

Jeff Ayres did not leave the Spurs' bench during Tuesday's 101-100 victory vs. the visiting Mavericks.

Tiago Splitter (calf) wasn't ready to play, which left extra minutes available in the Spurs' frontcourt. Gregg Popovich's deep rotations might allow some room for Ayres, who averaged 13.0 minutes last season, but he's a negligible fantasy player.
