Dante Cunningham scored 13 points with one rebound, one assist and no turnovers in 30 minutes against the Suns on Saturday.
He might be playing more center with Alexis Ajinca (shoulder) getting hurt tonight. Cunningham has logged significant minutes at the three, four and five this season as one of the most versatile players in the NBA. If Ajinca is out, Cunningham is probably worth owning in standard leagues. Apr 9 - 9:27 PM

Dante Cunningham went cold during Wednesday's loss in Boston, scoring two points on 0-of-6 FGs and 2-of-2 FTs, with three boards, three assists and one block.

Cunningham committed five personal fouls but he still played 31 minutes, and his playing time is bullet-proof with so few options available to coach Alvin Gentry. Fantasy owners will be hard-pressed to find a player doing less with so much playing time.
Apr 6 - 10:48 PM

Dante Cunningham had 19 points, three 3-pointers and not much else in another start for the Pelicans on Tuesday.

He's getting solid minutes at power forward and is one of few options, but still hasn't been able to turn it on. You can do better in fantasy.
Apr 5 - 9:39 PM

Dante Cunningham scored five points with seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 37 minutes against the Nuggets on Thursday.

He played 14 minutes at center tonight as the Pelicans continue to plug him in wherever they need help. Cunningham is almost a lock to lead the team in minutes going forward, but he's only a borderline add due to low per-minute output.
Apr 1 - 12:37 AM

Dante Cunningham scored nine points with two rebounds, one assist, two steals and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes against the Pacers on Thursday.

He's not an offensive player and the Pelicans are using him out of necessity. Cunningham is going to get some heavy run, but his upside is somewhat low. There are other higher upside players out there for owners in most leagues.
Mar 24 - 9:34 PM

Dante Cunningham played 40 minutes vs. the Clippers on Sunday, scoring a season-high 19 points with six rebounds, two steals and one 3-pointer.

The 28-year-old forward made 6-of-10 FGs and 6-of-7 FTs in an expanded role, helping the short-handed Pelicans stun the visiting Clippers. Minutes should be plentiful with Anthony Davis shut down for the season, and Ryan Anderson battling groin injuries, but Cunningham rarely contributes more than a handful of points, boards and occasional defensive stats. Owners in 12-team leagues can leave him on the wire.
Mar 20 - 9:34 PM

Dante Cunningham scored 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting Friday, to go with six rebounds, two 3-pointers, one assist, two steals, four blocks and two turnovers through 46 minutes of action.

While this was certainly a solid performance, Cunningham had done a whole lot of nothing up to this point, so we're going to need to see a repeat effort before recommending him as an add in most leagues.
Mar 12 - 12:04 AM

Dante Cunningham (knee) played 32 minutes against the Spurs on Thursday with five points, one rebound and two assists.

His hyperextended knee looked like it was fine in this game. Cunningham doesn't do anything special on the stat sheet with very little offense running through him. He's not worth owning in almost any league.
Mar 3 - 10:54 PM

Dante Cunningham (knee) will start on Thursday against the Spurs.

He had a hyperextension of his knee on Wednesday and he did play through it for a bit. Cunningham should see some decent playing time, but he's not involved enough in the offense to be owned in most leagues.
Mar 3 - 7:41 PM

Alvin Gentry said that Dante Cunningham (knee) will "try to play" Thursday vs. the Spurs.

Cunningham is going to try and gut this one out, but if he’s not able to give it a go, New Orleans will enter Thursday’s game with just nine healthy bodies. Even if Cunningham plays, he can’t be considered a viable target in most leagues with averages of just 4.7 points and 3.0 rebounds on the season.
Mar 3 - 6:42 PM

Dante Cunningham (left knee sprain) is questionable to play Thursday vs. the Spurs.

Cunningham exited Wednesday's game during the third quarter after sustaining the knee injury, and given that the Pelicans are on the second-game of a back-to-back set with a tough matchup against the Spurs, Cunningham is probably a bit closer to doubtful for tonight's game. If he's out, there will be more minutes available for guys like Ryan Anderson, Alonzo Gee and Luke Babbitt, with Anderson offering the most upside.
Mar 3 - 2:54 PM

Dante Cunningham didn't return to Wednesday's game after leaving in the third quarter with a left knee injury, finishing with 16 points, a career-high four 3-pointers, three rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes.

Cunningham was having one of his best games all season, shooting lights out, and New Orleans can only hope that this is a minor injury that doesn't cost him any games. Owners should consider him questionable to return for a brutal matchup vs. the Spurs on Thursday -- if he can't play, more minutes will be available for Alonzo Gee and Luke Babbitt.
Mar 2 - 11:34 PM

Dante Cunningham is questionable to return on Wednesday due to a left knee injury.

He tweaked his leg and was playing through it for a few minutes. Cunningham didn't have a bad limp to the locker room, but obviously knee injuries can be tricky. The Pelicans cannot avoid the injury bug at all. If he's out at all, the team will likely have to sign someone.
Mar 2 - 10:02 PM

Dante Cunningham played 33 minutes against the Wolves on Saturday with eight points, two rebounds, two assists and two turnovers.

Even against a bigger Wolves lineup up front, Cunningham picked up plenty of minutes at center tonight. The other two centers, Kendrick Perkins and Alexis Ajinca, looked really slow, so Cunningham should get minutes while Anthony Davis (toe) is out. That said, Cunningham's per-minute value is not good and he's only a deep-league target.
Feb 27 - 9:50 PM

Dante Cunningham played 42 minutes against the Thunder on Thursday with 10 points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.

Coach Alvin Gentry put him on Kevin Durant quite a bit in this game. Considering they're birds, the Pelicans basically have no wings right now, so Cunningham should be in the mid-30s for minutes. His usage rate is always going to be small, so he's going to have to rebound very well and add defense. He's only worth a look in 16-team leagues or deeper.
