Dante Cunningham played just 15 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday with four points and one steal.
His minutes were cut severely tonight and he looked really bad on defense. Cunningham had back-to-back impressive games before tonight, but Tyreke Evans coming back and pushing Ryan Anderson to more power forward hurt DC. He's only worth owning in very deep leagues. Dec 20 - 9:14 PM

Dante Cunningham hit a clutch jumper against the Rockets during a win on Thursday, finishing with 15 points, five rebounds, one block and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.

He played down the stretch next to Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson tonight. This is his third game with 30 minutes or more, so he should have some low-end fantasy value. Although, he does not do much else besides score, so he's not worth grabbing in standard leagues.
Dec 19 - 12:35 AM

Dante Cunningham thrived in 30 minutes off New Orleans' bench on Sunday, finishing with 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting, five rebounds, two steals and one block.

Cunningham has immediately earned the trust of coach Monty Williams, which isn't surprising since his competition at SF is Luke Babbitt (six points, five rebounds) and John Salmons (two points). His current bench role is too limited and unsteady for use in typical fantasy leagues, especially with Anthony Davis (chest) day-to-day and Eric Gordon (shoulder) expected back within a month, but he's worth keeping an eye on.
Dec 14 - 9:35 PM

Dante Cunningham logged a season-high 31 minutes vs. the Knicks on Tuesday, finishing with seven points, five rebounds and one assist off the Pelicans' bench.

It hasn't taken long for Cunningham to carve out a big role under coach Monty Williams, who is desperately looking for capable small forwards. Cunningham has yet to make any waves in fantasy leagues, and for now he's simply a guy to put on the 'watch list' in deeper formats.
Dec 9 - 11:05 PM

Dante Cunningham made his season debut on Thursday with two points, three rebounds and one steal in 12 minutes.

He made just 1-of-6 from the field and the Pelicans are in desperation mode in trying to find a wing next to Tyreke Evans. The team was nice enough to give Cunningham a second chance, but he's going to have to play well to stay on the team.
Dec 5 - 1:05 AM

Pelicans sign F Dante Cunningham.

Cunningham had struggled to find interested teams after being cleared of domestic assault charges, but has finally found a home in New Orleans. He'll join the Pelicans as a bench player and won't provide much fantasy value as evidenced by his career averages of 6.2 points and 3.9 rebounds.
Dec 4 - 1:37 PM

The Pelicans are reportedly seriously considering signing free agent Dante Cunningham.

Cunningham worked out for the Pelicans this weekend, and this is perhaps the reason they waived Darius Miller on Sunday. Cunningham boast career-averages of 6.2 points and 3.9 rebounds, so there's not much to like here from a fantasy perspective as he wouldn't be much more than a role player in New Orleans.
Nov 30 - 7:11 PM

Dante Cunningham said he is having trouble finding an NBA who is willing to take a risk on him after domestic violence charges against him were dropping.

Investigators found that Cunningham's accuser fabricated the charges, but teams are still wary of the negative publicity that could come with signing Cunningham after the Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson scandals. "At this point it's about justice and it's about clearing my name," the 27-year-old said. "Clearly this adds a terrible stigma to my name. Now when anyone looks up Dante Cunningham, oh, wasn't he the one that was in trouble?" While Cunningham could help a team in need of a forward, his prior legal situation will likely keep him out of the NBA for the foreseeable future.
Oct 23 - 10:09 AM

Dante Cunningham's agent, Joel Bell, said his client is planning a civil suit against his accuser for making a false claim against him.

The felony domestic assault charges have already been dropped and he had to spend time in jail because of it. Cunningham may have also missed out on a contract due to the off-the-court issues, so he could be filing a major suit.
Aug 19 - 10:49 PM

All charges against Dante Cunningham regarding felony domestic assault and terroristic threats have been dismissed.

Cunningham can now put this troublesome chapter of his career behind him, and focus on trying to sign a contract for the upcoming season. Cunningham, currently an unrestricted free agent, averaged 6.3 points, and 4.1 rebounds through 20.2 minutes of action for the Timberwolves last season. We'll reserve predicting his fantasy value for the upcoming NBA season when we know where he will be signing, but he’d have to land on a bad team to be relevant.
Aug 18 - 6:11 PM

Dante Cunningham appeared in court on Wednesday stemming from his April arrest for felony domestic assault.

His hearing was delayed six weeks until June 19th. Cunningham was also arrested a week later for suspicion of terroristic threats. If convicted of the assault charge, Cunningham may be forced to do jail time. Even if he avoids incarceration, he will be subject to a suspension, so that probably won't help his case as an unrestricted free agent this summer.
May 7 - 3:49 PM

Dante Cunningham had the first 20-10 game of his career on Friday vs. the Rockets with 20 points, 13 boards, one assist, one steal and three blocks in 42 minutes.

It's hard to believe he was in jail last weekend and has two serious charges filed against him. Kevin Love (elbow) did not play tonight and he should be back on Saturday, so Cunningham is more of a speculative add. If you want to add him, hopefully you're not cutting a guy you'll miss.
Apr 12 - 12:42 AM

Dante Cunningham will start against the Rockets on Friday in place of Kevin Love (elbow).

He was in jail last weekend and he'll start tonight. Cunningham should see big minutes in an up-tempo game, so he might actually put up a decent line with respect to scoring and rebounds.
Apr 11 - 8:06 PM

Dante Cunningham, who is out on $150,000 bail, will be available to play in Tuesday's game vs. the Spurs.

Cunningham faces multiple charges, including felony domestic assault and probable cause of making terroristic threats, but for now he'll suit up as the short-handed Wolves try to finish the season strong. He should be considered day-to-day given the uncertainty of his legal situation.
Apr 8 - 6:56 PM

Dante Cunningham posted bail Monday afternoon and has been released from jail.

Bail was set at $150,000 for his second arrest in the past week. He was charged with domestic assault on Friday and also had a terroristic threat over the weekend. Cunningham was able to play on Saturday while Kevin Love (back) was out, but he might not play after this incident.
