Dante Cunningham started on Wednesday in place of Anthony Davis (ankle), posting nine points, five rebounds, one 3-pointer and one steal in a tough loss at Memphis.
Cunningham played 18 minutes but as usual he had low usage and did little to satisfy owners, even in deep leagues. The Pelicans are optimistic that AD will be ready to go for Friday's game, too, so there's no incentive to grab Cunningham tonight. Jan 11 - 12:46 AM

Dante Cunningham will move into the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies, with Anthony Davis (ankle) unavailable.

As a starter this season, Cunningham has posted measly averages of 5.9 points and 4.4 rebounds on 39.8% shooting, so he's not a viable target in most leagues despite the increased opportunity.

Dante Cunningham (back injury) is questionable to return vs. Miami on Saturday.

There's no word on the severity of the injury, but his availability for the rest of this game shouldn't impact fantasy owners with Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins both healthy.

Dante Cunningham started the second half on Tuesday in place of Anthony Davis (right wrist), finishing with two points, one rebound and zero assists, steals or blocks.

Cunningham played 17 minutes tonight and Davis wasn't out very long, so there's no clear fantasy impact here. Even as a starter this season, Cunningham has been devoid of fantasy appeal with averages of 5.9 points on 39.8% shooting, 0.7 threes, 4.3 boards, 0.7 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.3 blocks.

Dante Cunningham scored eight points with four rebounds in 21 minutes against the Bucks on Wednesday.

With Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins in the lineup, Cunningham just doesn't do enough on the stat sheet to roster in fantasy for almost all leagues.

Dante Cunningham (knee) is expected to play Wednesday vs. Milwaukee.

Anthony Davis (adductor) is also expected back in action tonight, so Cunningham probably won't be earning meaningful minutes tonight. Leave him on the wire.

Dante Cunningham (right knee) is questionable to play Wednesday vs. the Bucks.

Anthony Davis (adductor) is also questionable, and if both these guys can't give it a go, Darius Miller would again be looking at minutes in the high-30s, although he's still not a very attractive fantasy target. Check back for another update on Cunningham following Wednesday morning's shootaround.

Dante Cunningham (right knee) has now been ruled out for Monday's game vs. Houston.

Cunningham was listed in the starting lineup for Anthony Davis, but then he was a late addition to the injury report with about five minutes left before tip-off. The Pelicans have been very shady with their injury reports this season, so fantasy owners should be mindful of that in the future. Luckily, Cunningham is too bad to be considered in most fantasy leagues.

Dante Cunningham is now questionable to play on Monday vs. Houston with a right knee injury.

Cunningham was listed in the starting lineup in place of Anthony Davis, but now he might not play at all. He was placed on the injury report right before tip-off, so he may have tweaked his knee in warmups. He was going to be a poor option in fantasy leagues anways. Darius Miller will start in his place.

Dante Cunningham will start in place of Anthony Davis (left adductor) on Monday vs. Houston.

Cunningham has brought very little to the table all season, but coach Alvin Gentry keeps turning to him. He's averaging 5.9 points and 4.4 rebounds as a starter this season and can't be trusted in fantasy lineups.
Mon, Dec 11, 2017 07:25:00 PM

Dante Cunningham scored eight points with three rebounds, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes against the Kings on Friday.

He's not going to be playing as much now that Anthony Davis is back. Davis also had a minutes cap today, so expect Cunningham to be under 20 minutes somewhat often.

Dante Cunningham scored eight points with 12 rebounds and a blocked shot across 14 minutes in Saturday's win at Portland.

Cunningham was making the start for Anthony Davis (pelvis), and he handled himself with aplomb. The rebound total was very Brow-esque, and he was an efficient 3-of-4 from the floor. He certainly will not be able to replace the production of Davis at the scoring end, but he should put up a healthy amount of rebounds for fantasy owners as long as Davis is sidelined. His low usage rate and low block rate cap his upside severely.

Dante Cunningham will start for Anthony Davis (pelvis) on Saturday against the Blazers.

Coach Alvin Gentry loves him some Cunningham and he'll use him against Noah Vonleh. Cunningham usually has a tiny usage rate and rarely adds non-scoring stats, so he's really tough to count on in fantasy. Darius Miller is the better add. Expect DeMarcus Cousins to be very, very busy along with Jrue Holiday.

Dante Cunningham is listed as the starter in the game notes against the Blazers on Saturday.

It's the game notes, so don't put too much stock in this. With how hot Darius Miller has been, he still has a decent chance to get in there, especially against a team without much size besides their centers.
Sat, Dec 2, 2017 07:16:00 PM

Dante Cunningham started the second half on Wednesday in place of Anthony Davis (ejection), finishing with five points and four rebounds in 17 minutes of action.

Cunningham was returning from a knee injury that caused him to exit Saturday's game early, and the second-half start was purely situational. He has an uncanny knack for doing almost nothing to help fantasy owners on a per-minute basis.
