Celtics president Danny Ainge said the Celtics would like to re-sign Jonas Jerebko.
Speaking on a local radio station, Ainge said he likes the "Swedish Larry Bird", but re-signing him will depend on the cost and the team's draft moves. Jerebko averaged 7.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 0.9 three-pointers in 29 games with the Celtics and would help provide the team with some veteran depth, but he's unlikely to be a major part of any team's rotation next year and isn't on the standard-league fantasy radar. Jonas Jerebko is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, but he is hopeful to return to the Celtics.

"I loved it here," Jerebko said. "I’d love to come back. I’d definitely like to keep this going." Jerebko averaged 7.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game off the bench this season for Boston, and though he does help spread the floor with his perimeter shooting, it would be tough to imagine him having a significant role next season once the Celtics reload through the draft and free agency. He should garner some interest around the league, but in terms of fantasy, he isn't on the standard-league radar for the 2015-16 season at the moment.
Apr 29 - 11:32 AM

Jonas Jerebko scored four points with seven rebounds, one steal and one block in 25 minutes against the Cavs on Thursday.

He played just four minutes in Game 2 and he actually played well today. Jerebko was able to battle under the boards and led his team with three offensive boards. He only made 2-of-7 from the field, so he's not a lock to see this much playing time in Game 4.
Apr 23 - 9:49 PM

Jonas Jerebko, who was limited to just four minutes of action during Game 2 due to a calf issue, said on Thursday that his calf is feeling better.

Jerebko could see closer to the 18 minutes he got during Game 1 tonight, but it's very unlikely that he shows up in the box score in any meaningful way. His fantasy value is essentially non-existent.
Apr 23 - 6:02 PM

According to head coach Brad Stevens, Jonas Jerebko was limited by a calf issue in Game 2 which is why he saw just four minutes of action.

The good news is that the injury isn't serious, and he is expected to see his minutes increased in Game 3 on Thursday. We will leave him off the injury report for now, but we will have another update if necessary after their shootaround on Thursday. Expect his minutes to creep up in the high teens if his calf progresses well.
Apr 22 - 2:11 PM

Jonas Jerebko nearly fell out of Boston's rotation on Tuesday, finishing a loss in Cleveland with zero points in just four minutes off the bench.

Jerebko's rebound rate of 12.6 percent was fourth-best on the Celtics this season, ahead of Kelly Olynyk and Brandon Bass. He also had the best defensive rating (99.8) of any regular rotation player, so his absence was surprising, but the Celtics still gave the Cavs all they could handle with a modified frontcourt. We'll keep an eye on Jerebko's role as the series shifts to Boston.
Apr 21 - 10:05 PM

Jonas Jerebeko scored 17 points with five rebounds, one assist, two steals and one 3-pointer on 7-of-10 from the field in 21 minutes against the Bucks on Friday.

It was his best offensive game since February and his timing is impeccable with Jared Sullinger returning. Jerebko could wind up losing playing time to Sully and he only played 18.7 minutes in March, so it's hard to be excited about his value going forward.
Apr 4 - 12:00 AM

Jonas Jerebko double-doubled off the bench on Friday, scoring 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting (including three treys) with 10 rebounds, three assists and one block in 24 minutes.

Jerebko fits the Celtics' spread attack very well and he's worth a very hard look right now. He has only averaged 16.5 minutes over his last three games, posting 12.0 points with 2.3 treys, 5.3 boards, 1.7 assists and 0.6 combined steals and blocks in that span. With the way he has looked lately, the playing time should go up.
Feb 28 - 1:31 AM

Jonas Jerebko played some center during Boston's win over New York on Wednesday.

Celtics head coach Brad Stevens admitted he was "throwing darts" when he put together the lineup combination that had the 27-year-old at center, but liked what he saw. "He’s got ability to stretch the floor and he does fit well with what we’re trying to do," Stevens said. He added, "He's a big that can shoot, play the 3 or the 4, space the floor. So I like his skill set and I think he’s excited about being here." It's worth monitoring Jerebko's playing time on the rebuilding Celtics, but he's better off left on waivers for now.

Feb 26 - 9:37 AM

Jonas Jerebko came off the bench to hit 7-of-10 shots and four 3-pointers for 20 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal in just 21 minutes on Wednesday.

This was easily a season high for Jerebko and his best game of the year, as the Tyler Zeller was in foul trouble and the Celtics went small. Keep an eye on him, but it's highly doubtful we'll see him do this again any time soon. Especially since they were playing against the Knicks, aka the worst team in the league.
Feb 25 - 11:29 PM

Updating a previous report, Jonas Jerebko (illness) will be available to play against the Lakers on Sunday.

Head coach Brad Stevens hinter earlier that Jerebko might not play even if he dresses, so owners should be aware of that before plugging him into lineups. There is plenty of opportunity in the Boston frontcourt now that Jared Sullinger (foot) is done for the season, so owners in deep leagues will want to monitor Jerebko closely.
Feb 22 - 8:43 PM

Jonas Jerebko (illness) is questionable to play against the Lakers on Sunday.

Head coach Brad Stevens said that Jerebko may not play even if he does dress, so owners will want to avoid this situation if possible. Jerebko could potentially carve out a decent role in Boston with Jared Sullinger (foot) out for the season, but it looks like his debut with the Celtics could be pushed back.
Feb 22 - 8:03 PM

Speaking to the media following Sunday's shootaround, Celtics' head coach Brad Stevens acknowledged that with both Kelly Olynyk (ankle) and Jared Sullinger (foot) unavailable, Jonas Jerebko could be forced into the rotation.

"[Jerebko] has got the ability to stretch the floor. He does fit well with what we're trying to do, so [giving him minutes] makes a lot of sense," Stevens said, replying to a question on whether injuries push Jerebko's possible contributions to the forefront. "But again, I don't know exactly how that will play itself out in terms of minutes [Sunday night against the Lakers]." We'll let you know how the rotations play out following the game, but Jerebko may be able to muster some short-term value in deeper leagues with the Celtics banged up.
Feb 22 - 7:52 PM

Jonas Jerebko and Luigi Datome will be available for Sunday's game vs. the Lakers.

While they'll be available to play, both Datome and Jerebko are stepping into a very crowded rotation in Boston, and they're unlikely to see major minutes during their first game with their new team. Jerebko does have a shot of getting some minutes with Jared Sullinger (foot) being ruled out for the remainder of the season, but he's very unlikely to gain any sort of relevancy in standard leagues as a bench player in Boston.
Feb 22 - 2:14 PM

Jonas Jerebko and Luigi Datome will have a chance to prove whether or not they will fit into Boston's system.

"We wanted to see how those two players fit with us," Ainge said. "They’re players we’ve liked before that we watched play and develop, and we want to see how they fit in our system. We want to see how they fit with our coaches and mesh with our players. Datome is a great shooter and Jerebko is a bigger perimeter player who can do a lot of the things Kelly [Olynyk] does." While Jerebko could potentially carve out a decent role with Kelly Olynyk (ankle) and Jared Sullinger (foot) sidelined, owners in most leagues can simply use a wait-and-see approach here, as both players have a lot of work to do in order to pop up on the fantasy radar.
