Jonas Jerebko started the second half of Wednesday's game, replacing Amir Johnson, but finished scoreless with two rebounds and no defensive stats in 16 minutes.
The Pacers were going small with Paul George at PF, which may be the reason Brad Stevens once again altered his starting lineup. Jerebko has reached the 20-minute mark just once all season and he belongs on the waiver wire in the vast majority of leagues. Nov 11 - 11:01 PM

Jonas Jerebko replaced Amir Johnson in the starting lineup for the second half of Wednesday's game vs. Indiana.

Brad Stevens praised Jerebko's defensive versatility on Tuesday and one day later he gave him a mid-game promotion. Johnson was ineffective in the first half and Jerebko matches up better vs. Paul George, who is playing PF, so this could just be a temporary move. There's too much uncertainty in Boston's frontcourt to make any pickups here.
Nov 11 - 9:06 PM

Celtics head coach Brad Stevens said the team value's Jonas Jerebko's ability to defend multiple positions.

While Jerebko hasn't been lighting up the stat sheet, he's found other ways to make a difference on the court for the Celtics. "That’s why [players like Jerebko] are so valuable," said Stevens. "If you've got guys that can guard multiple positions, especially that can swing from the perimeter to the bigs, and vice versa, it’s huge." Kudos aside, the Swedish Larry Bird is averaging just 4.6 points and 3.6 boards per game and can be left on waivers in standard fantasy leagues.

Jonas Jerebko (illness) returned to practice on Monday.

It was just a one-day absence for the forward, who did not come to practice on Sunday. He's fine.
Oct 12 - 11:38 AM

Jonas Jerebko (illness) did not practice on Sunday.

He'll be fine when the regular-season comes around, but he's a candidate to pick up a plethora of DNP-CDs this season with Boston's improved depth. He's not worth a draft pick in most leagues.
Oct 11 - 3:07 PM

Jonas Jerebko said that he is excited about re-signing in Boston.

"It was my goal to come back after last year to this organization and coach and teammates," Jerebko said. "I’m happy the feeling was mutual and everything worked out." Jerebko agreed to a two-year, $10 million deal this summer, but playing time is going to be hard to come by in a very crowded backcourt. He will be fighting for rotational minutes during training camp, but he likely won't see enough run next season to matter in standard leagues.
Aug 2 - 9:22 AM

Jonas Jerebko said the Celtics were his first choice in free agency.

"There were teams that were knocking on the door, but I just liked being in Boston and what we had going on," he said. Jerebko is hoping for an expanded role this time around with the Celtics, but he's going to have to assert himself in a crowded frontline rotation in order to get that.

Celtics sign forward Jonas Jerebko to two-year, $10 million deal on Thursday.

Jerebko is a good fit for the Celtics' pace-and-space game but he faces a lot of competition for minutes. He's only worth keeping an eye on in deeper formats at this time.
Jul 9 - 9:48 PM

Jonas Jerebko will sign a two-year, $10 million deal with the Celtics.

Apparently his awful four postseason games against the Cavs didn't matter. Jerebko did come on down the stretch during the regular season and even put up a 16-point game in the finale, but this big of a contract is a slight surprise.
Jul 1 - 3:42 PM

Celtics president Danny Ainge said the Celtics would like to re-sign Jonas Jerebko.

Speaking on a local radio station, Ainge said he likes the "Swedish Larry Bird", but re-signing him will depend on the cost and the team's draft moves. Jerebko averaged 7.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 0.9 three-pointers in 29 games with the Celtics and would help provide the team with some veteran depth, but he's unlikely to be a major part of any team's rotation next year and isn't on the standard-league fantasy radar.
Apr 30 - 10:46 AM

Jonas Jerebko is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, but he is hopeful to return to the Celtics.

"I loved it here," Jerebko said. "I’d love to come back. I’d definitely like to keep this going." Jerebko averaged 7.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game off the bench this season for Boston, and though he does help spread the floor with his perimeter shooting, it would be tough to imagine him having a significant role next season once the Celtics reload through the draft and free agency. He should garner some interest around the league, but in terms of fantasy, he isn't on the standard-league radar for the 2015-16 season at the moment.
Apr 29 - 11:32 AM

Jonas Jerebko scored four points with seven rebounds, one steal and one block in 25 minutes against the Cavs on Thursday.

He played just four minutes in Game 2 and he actually played well today. Jerebko was able to battle under the boards and led his team with three offensive boards. He only made 2-of-7 from the field, so he's not a lock to see this much playing time in Game 4.
Apr 23 - 9:49 PM

Jonas Jerebko, who was limited to just four minutes of action during Game 2 due to a calf issue, said on Thursday that his calf is feeling better.

Jerebko could see closer to the 18 minutes he got during Game 1 tonight, but it's very unlikely that he shows up in the box score in any meaningful way. His fantasy value is essentially non-existent.
Apr 23 - 6:02 PM

According to head coach Brad Stevens, Jonas Jerebko was limited by a calf issue in Game 2 which is why he saw just four minutes of action.

The good news is that the injury isn't serious, and he is expected to see his minutes increased in Game 3 on Thursday. We will leave him off the injury report for now, but we will have another update if necessary after their shootaround on Thursday. Expect his minutes to creep up in the high teens if his calf progresses well.
Apr 22 - 2:11 PM

Jonas Jerebko nearly fell out of Boston's rotation on Tuesday, finishing a loss in Cleveland with zero points in just four minutes off the bench.

Jerebko's rebound rate of 12.6 percent was fourth-best on the Celtics this season, ahead of Kelly Olynyk and Brandon Bass. He also had the best defensive rating (99.8) of any regular rotation player, so his absence was surprising, but the Celtics still gave the Cavs all they could handle with a modified frontcourt. We'll keep an eye on Jerebko's role as the series shifts to Boston.
