Garrett Temple, Ben McLemore, Rudy Gay, Kosta Koufos and DeMarcus Cousins are starting vs. the Clippers on Tuesday.
Ty Lawson is already on thin ice with the Kings, but he's still expected to be the starter for the first eight games of the season with Darren Collison suspended. Temple should see minutes at PG and SG, but he's not a fantasy option. As a reminder, Arron Afflalo (glute) and Matt Barnes (ribs) were ruled out prior to tip-off. Oct 18 - 10:11 PM

Garrett Temple will play some point guard this season according to coach Dave Joerger.

This isn't a huge surprise because the Kings don't have great depth at PG and Darren Collison is facing a suspension. The Kings did bring in Ty Lawson, so Temple will likely just be utilized as a combo guard off the bench. He's more of a defender, so his fantasy upside is limited. Ignore him on draft day.
Sep 27 - 11:43 PM

Garrett Temple believes he has an opportunity for a career year in Sacramento.

"I think the opportunity [for a career-year] is there," he said. "Coach [Dave] Joerger believes in my abilities and that I can produce, so I’ll be on the court a good amount this year. I’m working on the aspects of my game that need to improve this summer. I’ll be playing some point guard this year, and obviously playing the two and the three as well." Temple added that he's working on his decision-making abilities, and he could be an under-the-radar name to watch with Sacramento's backcourt anything but settled. The Kings didn't pay him $24M to ride the bench.
Sep 3 - 4:30 PM

Garrett Temple has reportedly agreed to a three-year deal with the Kings.

Temple's contract with Sacramento will reportedly be worth $24 million with a player option on Year-3. He'll serve as a backup with the Kings, but his fantasy value will be more or less non-existent. With Temple and Arron Afflalo signing in Sacramento, it seems less likely that the Kings will act on their reported interest in Monta Ellis.
Jul 3 - 4:10 PM

Five teams have shown an interest in free agent guard Garrett Temple.

According to CSN Washington, the Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, Sacramento Kings, New Orleans Pelicans and Atlanta Hawks have talked to Temple so far. The Wizards would also like to re-sign him, but his price might be too high. Temple averaged 7.3 points, 2.7 boards, 1.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.1 3-pointers in Washington last season.
Jul 3 - 9:15 AM

Garrett Temple scored two points with three rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 21 minutes against the Pistons on Friday.

He was good on Wednesday, but he could not get it going in his loss. Temple isn't the strongest add out there with so many teams shutting down players.
Apr 8 - 11:48 PM

Garrett Temple scored 10 points with six rebounds, six assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in 29 minutes against the Nets on Wednesday.

He picked up some backup point guard minutes along with some minutes on the wing, too. With John Wall (knee) possibly missing more time, that should get Temple enough run to be worth a look as a possible stream or DFS punt. Plus, Bradley Beal might be limited once the Wizards are eliminated. To be clear, don't expect him to be this good against the Pistons on Friday.
Apr 6 - 11:28 PM

Garrett Temple scored 10 points with three rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and three turnovers in 40 minutes against the 76ers on Thursday.

Bradley Beal (hip, rest) and Alan Anderson (ankle) were not out there. Beal should be back out there for the next game, so leave Temple on the wire in most leagues.
Mar 17 - 11:04 PM

Garrett Temple will start Thursday vs. the 76ers with Bradley Beal (hip) on the sidelines.

John Wall, Otto Porter, Markieff Morris and Marcin Gortat will join Temple in the starting five for tonight's game. Temple does have a nice matchup, but he's far too inconsistent to depend upon in most settings. The Wizards described Beal's absence as precautionary, so Temple will likely return to the bench Saturday vs. New York.

Garrett Temple helped the Wizards earn a 117-94 home win on Wednesday, chipping in 15 points, six rebounds, four assists and one steal in 30 minutes off the bench.

Temple drained all five of his 3-pointers in the first half to help the Wizards build a double-digit lead, which they held onto despite a late charge from the Bulls. The veteran gives Washington a solid defensive presence, and some insurance behind Bradley Beal (hip), but he's too erratic to use in 12-team leagues.
Mar 16 - 11:11 PM

Garrett Temple started in place of Bradley Beal (sprained pelvis) on Tuesday vs. the Blazers, scoring eight points with four boards, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes.

He averaged 9.4 points, 2.8 boards, 2.2 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.4 3-pointers in 39 previous starts this season, so he obviously doesn't have much upside. Beal could return as soon as Friday or Saturday's game, so Temple is only worth a look in deeper leagues for now.
Mar 9 - 1:32 AM

Garrett Temple is starting vs. the Blazers on Tuesday as expected.

Bradley Beal (sprained pelvis) is out, but he could return later this week. Temple doesn't have a lot of upside and has season averages of 7.5 points, 2.6 boards, 1.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.1 3-pointers, so he's not worth owning in most leagues.
Mar 8 - 10:14 PM

Garrett Temple scored 11 points with four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes against the Pacers on Saturday.

If Bradley Beal (hip) needs to miss games, Temple will be headed for a minutes increase. His upside isn't great, so he's only a speculative add right now. If Beal does get ruled out, then maybe you can give him a look in competitive 14-team leagues.
Mar 5 - 10:39 PM

Garrett Temple will come off the bench against the Pacers on Saturday.

He's played poorly lately and the Wizards need a win, so Bradley Beal gets the start. Temple has very little fantasy value.
Mar 5 - 6:21 PM

Garrett Temple made 6-of-12 shots with four 3-pointers to finish Wednesday's 104-109 road loss with 18 points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes.

As well as Temple played, it doesn't change the fact that he's a sporadic value at best while Bradley Beal is healthy. He'd averaged a mere 3.3 points over his past four games, which says plenty about his lack of fantasy appeal.
