Garrett Temple scored eight points with three rebounds, three assists, one block, two steals and one 3-pointer on Saturday against the Bulls.
He is averaging 30.2 minutes, 8.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in his last five. With Rudy Gay (Achilles) out for the season, Temple should continue to see consistent minutes and is worth adding off of waivers in many leagues. Jan 22 - 12:03 AM

Garrett Temple started on Friday vs. the Grizzlies and scored 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting in 33 minutes.

He was the only starter to eclipse 30 minutes in the blowout, so it's safe to say that the workload will be there with Rudy Gay (Achilles) out for the season. Temple added three rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and two triples and was averaging 11.4 points, 3.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 2.1 treys in seven previous starts this season, so pick him up if those stats fit your team well.

Garrett Temple is starting vs. the Grizzlies on Friday.

Rudy Gay (Achilles) is out for the season and Temple and Matt Barnes will likely see the biggest bump in minutes. Temple doesn't have great upside, but he did put up averages of 11.4 points, 3.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 2.1 treys in seven previous starts this season. Give him a look if has a strong game tonight.
Jan 20 - 7:58 PM

Garrett Temple played 29 minutes off the bench against the Pacers on Wednesday with nine points, four rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer.

He should be getting a big bump in usage and playing time with Rudy Gay (Achilles). In the previous stretch Gay missed 10 of 11 games, Temple averaged 10.2 points, 3.4 boards, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.5 treys on 42.4 percent from the field and 89.5 percent from the line. That was good for eighth-round value, so he is worth a look in standard leagues.
Jan 19 - 1:15 AM

Garrett Temple had 14 points, three assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers in 42 minutes as a starter vs. Golden State on Sunday.

Temple is averaging 32.5 minutes in his past five games, but he's done nothing to warrant fantasy ownership. He should be viewed with skepticism even if he does continue to start alongside Darren Collison (14 points in 30 minutes).
Jan 9 - 12:55 AM

Garrett Temple said Dave Joerger's comments about fatigue in Wednesday's loss were "B.S."

"[Miami was] off a back-to-back as well," Temple said. "There was nothing about fatigue. Nobody plays 38 minutes a game on this team." In case you missed it, the Kings suffered what DeMarcus Cousins called probably the worst loss of the season on Wednesday. Among all the Kings who played in all of the last five games, Temple leads the team in net rating, so it makes sense to play him more. His minutes should start to creep up with so much talk about the second unit playing better. He's still only a deep-league pickup because of a low upside.
Jan 5 - 3:03 PM

Garrett Temple scored three points with three rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes against the Grizzlies on Saturday.

His position flexibility has been key for him to get minutes this year with Temple getting minutes at the one, two and three. With Ty Lawson (face) getting hurt, there should be some backup point guard minutes until Lawson can make it back. Temple hasn't really been a high-volume player, so he's more of a deep league guy.

Garrett Temple started the second half of Wednesday's game vs. the Blazers, scoring 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting with three rebounds, one assist, two steals and two triples in 31 minutes.

He started the second half over Ben McLemore (five points in 19 minutes) and also saw some extra touches with Rudy Gay (hip) on the shelf. Temple isn't an exciting fantasy option, but he will be on the radar in deeper leagues if Gay misses additional time -- he's currently day-to-day.

Garrett Temple didn't score until late in the fourth quarter, but hit a big 3-pointer that helped the Kings get a 102-100 win over the Sixers.

Temple has been getting some nice run and playing well, making him a borderline pickup in fantasy leagues. He finished with just five points on 1-of-4 shooting, but also played 29 minutes, 12 more than starter Ben McLemore. Temple's not a must-own player, averaging just 7.0 points and 1.2 3-pointers over his last five, but as long as he's getting the 29 minutes he's seeing per game right now, he should be watched closely by any owner in need of a shooting guard. He just never got it going tonight and doesn't get many shots in the Kings' offense.

Garrett Temple returned to the bench on Tuesday vs. the Blazers, scoring five points on 1-of-3 shooting with three rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and zero turnovers in 24 minutes.

He was inexplicably benched in favor of Matt Barnes, and things will get even more complicated on Wednesday vs. the Jazz with Rudy Gay (hip) targeting a return. This was Temple's second dud in a row, so his owners can move on if he fails to perform on Wednesday.

Garrett Temple could not get his shot to drop on Sunday, going 1-of-10 from the field on his way to five points, five boards, seven assists, two steals, one block and three turnovers in 36 minutes.

While the dimes and steals were nice, a 1-of-10 shooting performance is a tough pill to swallow. He has, however, been crushing it over the past few weeks with averages of 13.0 points, 2.5 treys, 2.3 dimes, 1.3 steals and 1.3 turnovers per contest, and as long as Rudy Gay (hip) and Omri Casspi (illness) are out, he should be working with a good amount of minutes. Still, his long-term outlook isn't great, so he's more of a deep league guy at the moment.

Garrett Temple scored 17 points on 4-of-11 shooting in Friday's win over the Grizzlies.

The Kings were missing both Rudy Gay (hip) and Omri Casspi (illness), so Temple started at small forward with Ben McLemore (quad) at SG. Temple logged a season-high 37 minutes with six rebounds, four assists, two steals and three triples, and this comes on the heels of a 20-point game on Wednesday. If Gay or Casspi misses more time, Temple looks like the clear beneficiary.
Sat, Dec 17, 2016 01:00:00 AM

Garrett Temple started Wednesday's game in place of Ben McLemore (bruised quad), finishing with a team-high 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including a 5-of-9 mark from deep.

Temple also chipped in four assists, two rebounds and one block in 30 minutes. McLemore is day-to-day and the Kings' SG spot has been a black hole for fantasy value all season, so there's no reason to expect value in standard leagues -- we'll let you know if Temple does enough to warrant your attention.
Thu, Dec 15, 2016 01:04:00 AM

Garrett Temple will start at shooting guard against the Rockets on Wednesday.

He should be busy with the Kings missing 60 percent of their starting lineup. Temple is worth a look in DFS for tonight, but his value this weekend is not very attractive.
Wed, Dec 14, 2016 07:42:00 PM

Garrett Temple scored 17 points with three rebounds, three assists and four 3-pointers in 27 minutes against the Mavs on Thursday.

This was a garbage-time special with Temple scoring 11 points in the fourth. He has been in the rotation and he did play 14.8 minutes in the first half tonight, but his usage has been tiny all season.
