Garrett Temple scored two points with three rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 21 minutes against the Pistons on Friday.
He was good on Wednesday, but he could not get it going in his loss. Temple isn't the strongest add out there with so many teams shutting down players. Apr 8 - 11:48 PM

Date:

Garrett Temple scored 10 points with six rebounds, six assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in 29 minutes against the Nets on Wednesday.

He picked up some backup point guard minutes along with some minutes on the wing, too. With John Wall (knee) possibly missing more time, that should get Temple enough run to be worth a look as a possible stream or DFS punt. Plus, Bradley Beal might be limited once the Wizards are eliminated. To be clear, don't expect him to be this good against the Pistons on Friday.
Apr 6 - 11:28 PM

Garrett Temple scored 10 points with three rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and three turnovers in 40 minutes against the 76ers on Thursday.

Bradley Beal (hip, rest) and Alan Anderson (ankle) were not out there. Beal should be back out there for the next game, so leave Temple on the wire in most leagues.
Mar 17 - 11:04 PM

Garrett Temple will start Thursday vs. the 76ers with Bradley Beal (hip) on the sidelines.

John Wall, Otto Porter, Markieff Morris and Marcin Gortat will join Temple in the starting five for tonight's game. Temple does have a nice matchup, but he's far too inconsistent to depend upon in most settings. The Wizards described Beal's absence as precautionary, so Temple will likely return to the bench Saturday vs. New York.

Garrett Temple helped the Wizards earn a 117-94 home win on Wednesday, chipping in 15 points, six rebounds, four assists and one steal in 30 minutes off the bench.

Temple drained all five of his 3-pointers in the first half to help the Wizards build a double-digit lead, which they held onto despite a late charge from the Bulls. The veteran gives Washington a solid defensive presence, and some insurance behind Bradley Beal (hip), but he's too erratic to use in 12-team leagues.
Mar 16 - 11:11 PM

Garrett Temple started in place of Bradley Beal (sprained pelvis) on Tuesday vs. the Blazers, scoring eight points with four boards, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes.

He averaged 9.4 points, 2.8 boards, 2.2 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.4 3-pointers in 39 previous starts this season, so he obviously doesn't have much upside. Beal could return as soon as Friday or Saturday's game, so Temple is only worth a look in deeper leagues for now.
Mar 9 - 1:32 AM

Garrett Temple is starting vs. the Blazers on Tuesday as expected.

Bradley Beal (sprained pelvis) is out, but he could return later this week. Temple doesn't have a lot of upside and has season averages of 7.5 points, 2.6 boards, 1.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.1 3-pointers, so he's not worth owning in most leagues.
Mar 8 - 10:14 PM

Garrett Temple scored 11 points with four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes against the Pacers on Saturday.

If Bradley Beal (hip) needs to miss games, Temple will be headed for a minutes increase. His upside isn't great, so he's only a speculative add right now. If Beal does get ruled out, then maybe you can give him a look in competitive 14-team leagues.
Mar 5 - 10:39 PM

Garrett Temple will come off the bench against the Pacers on Saturday.

He's played poorly lately and the Wizards need a win, so Bradley Beal gets the start. Temple has very little fantasy value.
Mar 5 - 6:21 PM

Garrett Temple made 6-of-12 shots with four 3-pointers to finish Wednesday's 104-109 road loss with 18 points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes.

As well as Temple played, it doesn't change the fact that he's a sporadic value at best while Bradley Beal is healthy. He'd averaged a mere 3.3 points over his past four games, which says plenty about his lack of fantasy appeal.
Feb 25 - 12:03 AM

Garrett Temple will return to the starting lineup for Thursday's game vs. the Jazz, sending Bradley Beal back to the bench.

Minutes don't always translate to fantasy value for Temple, and with a tough matchup against Utah, Temple makes for an unattractive option tonight despite the starter designation.
Feb 18 - 6:23 PM

Garrett Temple played 32 minutes off the Wizards' bench on Tuesday, but didn't do much with them, finishing with five points, one rebound, one assist and a 3-pointer.

He's playing 31 minutes a game over his last five, but averaging just 6.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.6 3-pointers. The return of Bradley Beal to the starting lineup doesn't help him, as Temple is now going to come off the bench, while the absence of Gary Neal (leg injury) should give him a small boost. But as long as Temple's not starting, he loses what little appeal he had.
Feb 9 - 11:30 PM

Garrett Temple will shift to the Wizards' bench on Friday, with Bradley Beal taking his place in the starting lineup.

Washington has lost five of their past six games so coach Randy Wittman decided to shake things up, and Temple should still claim a substantial role off the bench. This does his fantasy value no favors, however, and anyone on the fence can take this as their cue to cut him loose.
Feb 5 - 6:21 PM

Garrett Temple scored 20 points with five rebounds, three assists, one steal and five 3-pointers in 38 minutes against the Nuggets on Thursday.

The Wizards losing Otto Porter (hip) tonight definitely helped Temple a bit here with several three-guard lineups out there. Porter's injury doesn't sound too bad right now, so Temple is only a speculative add in deep leagues.
Jan 28 - 10:39 PM

Garrett Temple missed all seven shots from the field and made both free throws for two points with four rebounds, one assist and no turnovers in 23 minutes.

He might be playing more because Bradley Beal (face) did not return tonight. Temple still isn't the greatest guy in fantasy because of low per-minute output, so he's not a strong pickup. Plus, Beal's injury doesn't sound serious.
