Garrett Temple scored 13 points with three rebounds, five assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes against the Thunder on Thursday.
He got the start at point guard with De'Aaron Fox (pink eye) out tonight. While the Kings haven't been resting Temple too much this month, that should change once Fox and Frank Mason are both healthy. Temple will be tough to count on if he's getting DNP-CDs. Feb 23 - 1:07 AM

Date:

Justin Jackson, Zach Randolph, Willie Cauley-Stein, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Garrett Temple will start against the Thunder on Thursday.

The Kings won't be starting Frank Mason III in his return tonight and the minutes restriction could be why. Temple could find himself getting more consistent minutes, but the Kings do have a lot of options they can use 1-3. He's more of a spot-start player to use in deep leagues when you know he'll be out there.
Feb 22 - 9:30 PM

Garrett Temple (mouth) was able to play in Friday's game against the Trail Blazers.

Temple hit 1-of-8 from the floor, including 1-of-3 from behind the arc, finishing with three points. He was able to add five rebounds and two assists with just one turnover across 27 minutes. While it was an ugly shooting line, it appears safe to get him back into the active fantasy lineup if all deeper leagues if you normally rely upon him.
Feb 10 - 2:55 AM

Garrett Temple (mouth) is probable against the Blazers on Friday.

It sounds like he's going to play and it'll be interesting to see how the Kings play it with George Hill gone. Plus, Malachi Richardson was also an option when they rested guys, so maybe Temple plays almost every night. Either way, he's not someone most owners should take a chance on.
Feb 9 - 3:31 PM

Garrett Temple (oral surgery) is not practicing on Wednesday.

He was in attendance, so the procedure doesn't sound serious. Temple hasn't been rested in the last four outings, so it makes a lot of sense for him not to play on Friday against the Blazers.
Feb 7 - 4:41 PM

Garrett Temple ended up with 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting 31 minutes off the bench Saturday against the Mavericks.

Temple has been up and down lately, hampered recently by a sprained right ankle. He was scoreless on Friday night, but solid in the second end of the back-to-back situation. Still, he has been too erratic this season to rely upon outside of the deepest fantasy leagues.
Feb 4 - 1:31 AM

Garrett Temple played 32 minutes and hit 5-of-12 shots and three 3-pointers for 15 points, two rebounds, six assists and a steal in Tuesday's win over the Pelicans.

He was iffy with a sprained ankle and is always a random DNP candidate as a Kings' veteran. If you catch Temple on the right night he can get hot for a game or two, but he's simply been too inconsistent to use in fantasy this season.
Jan 30 - 11:14 PM

Garrett Temple (sprained right ankle) is probable for Tuesday's game vs. New Orleans.

Temple did not play Sunday vs. the Spurs, but is on track to return Tuesday night. He will return to splitting minutes with Buddy Hield, Bogdan Bogdanovic and George Hill.
Jan 30 - 1:56 PM

Garrett Temple (sprained right ankle) will not play vs. the Spurs on Sunday.

It's unclear when Temple got injured, but the Kings are resting veterans constantly so they're likely to be cautious with even the most minor ailments. Buddy Hield, Bogdan Bogdanovic and George Hill stand to gain some playing time without Temple tonight. His next chance to play comes Tuesday vs. the Pelicans.
Jan 28 - 5:27 PM

Garrett Temple scored five points with one rebound, three assists and four turnovers in 19 minutes against the Heat on Thursday.

He obviously had nowhere to go but down after his 34-point explosion on Tuesday. De'Aaron Fox returning was a factor and Temple is probably a good bet to rest on Sunday against the Spurs.
Jan 25 - 10:20 PM

Garrett Temple hit 14-of-17 shots and four 3-pointers for a career-high 34 points, two rebounds and five assists in 40 minutes of Tuesday's win over the Magic.

De'Aaron Fox went down with abdominal tightness and didn't return after just 11 minutes, and Temple was really the only option left at point guard for the Kings, as George Hill was rested and Frank Mason and Fox were hurt. Temple didn't even play on Monday (because he's a veteran) and hadn't scored more than 16 points in a game since prior to Christmas. Tonight was his night, but it's hard to see him being a hot pickup unless Fox is going to miss multiple games with his injury. Temple has just eight 20-point games over his seven-year career.
Jan 23 - 9:55 PM

Garrett Temple did not play on Monday against the Hornets.

This is DNP two since coach Dave Joerger said he'll be sitting players. Temple really can't be owned in fantasy at almost any depth.
Jan 22 - 9:28 PM

Garrett Temple was a DNP-CD on Wednesday.

Dave Joerger said he'll be resting at least two veterans each game, and tonight it was Temple and Vince Carter. Temple didn't have fantasy value anyway, so this shouldn't impact any lineups.
Jan 18 - 1:29 AM

Garrett Temple started the second half over Buddy Hield on Tuesday but hit just 1-of-6 shots for three points and two steals.

He took a hard shot to his left thigh from Larry Nance in the second half, but was able to stay in the game. If he does miss any time with the injury, it would benefit Hield slightly, but neither player is at a must-own level right now.
Jan 10 - 1:04 AM

Garrett Temple managed just two points across 22 minutes off the bench in Saturday's victory against the Nuggets.

The Kings won by eight points against the visiting Nuggets, but it had nothing to do with Temple. He was an awful 1-of-9 from the field, including 0-of-3 from behind the 3-point line, while turning it over four times while posting a minus-21 rating, one of just two Sacramento players with a negative rating. Head coach Dave Joerger occasionally plugs Temple into the starting five, but even then Temple only has fantasy appeal in the deepest of leagues.
