Garrett Temple finished Sunday's road loss with seven points, two assists, one steal and two blocks in 24 minutes at SG.
Temple's fantasy outlook got a jolt when Bradley Beal was ruled out for the rest of the season, but he's done nothing in his past six games to warrant owning him (averaging 4.3 points and 0.9 assists). Apr 7 - 8:56 PM

Garrett Temple plummeted in the rotation on Sunday, finishing scoreless with zero assists or steals in 13 minutes.

He started again at SG but quickly found himself on the bench while Bradley Beal lit up for 24 bench points. Temple has been absorbing tons of minutes with Washington's backcourt in shambles, but now that they're healthy he belongs on all waiver wires.
Mar 31 - 9:20 PM

Garrett Temple made another start and had 13 points, two assists, four steals and two 3-pointers on 5-of-11 shooting in 39 minutes on Wednesday.

As long as Bradley Beal (ankle), Trevor Ariza (flu) and Martell Webster (abdomen) are out for the Wiz, Temple is going to get heavy minutes. He's playing just well enough to be given in a look in most leagues, but his value could come crashing down if the Wizards ever get healthy.
Mar 28 - 12:22 AM

Garrett Temple was the only Wizards starter to log more than 27 minutes on Saturday, as he played a whopping 43 minutes.

He finished with nine points on 4-of-10 FGs, one 3-pointer, three rebounds, six assists, two steals and five turnovers, a decidedly mixed performance. Feel free to use him as a short-term option, with the understanding that his minutes will dip as Trevor Ariza (flu), A.J. Price (groin) and Bradley Beal (ankle) filter back into the lineup.
Mar 24 - 1:36 AM

Garrett Temple started once again with Bradley Beal coming off the bench on Monday against the Bobcats, finishing with 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting, two threes, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block in 28 minutes.

Temple has been providing low-end numbers from the shooting guard position lately, but his value could be usurped any day once Beal gets back to full strength.
Mar 18 - 11:26 PM

Despite Bradley Beal's return on Saturday, Garrett Temple still scored 11 points with three 3-pointer, three boards, four assists and two steals in 36 minutes.

Temple had averaged 43 minutes in the previous two games. He started at SG again on Saturday but that's unlikely to last much longer, especially when Trevor Ariza (knee) returns, and fantasy owners shouldn't fret about cutting him for a more promising FA.
Mar 16 - 9:41 PM

Garrett Temple played 45 minutes against the Hornets in Friday's 96-87 win, scoring 10 points with two boards, five assists and one steal.

He's been solid filling in and his 45 minutes marked a season high. Temple will lose most of his playing time once super rookie Bradley Beal comes back, so he's only worth a look on a short-term basis.
Mar 15 - 10:25 PM

Garrett Temple started at shooting guard again and hit 6-of-7 shots for 13 points, three rebounds and four assists in 41 minutes of Wednesday's win over the Bucks.

Garrett's started three games in a row, but this was his first game with more than four points since Feb. 4, when he scored a season-high 15 points. Continue to ignore him for now, as this was just his third game of the season with double-figures scoring.
Mar 13 - 10:03 PM

Garrett Temple started at SG on Saturday with Bradley Beal (ankle) still unavailable, but he scored just two points with four rebounds, four assists and five personal fouls in 23 minutes.

Beal's status came down to just before tip-off tonight and there's a good chance that he'll return on Tuesday, so owners trolling for cheap value should look elsewhere.
Mar 9 - 10:42 PM

Garrett Temple had 15 points, two assists, three steals and three blocks vs. the Clippers, making 7-of-12 FGs in 37 minutes of action.

The former D-League guard came in shooting 33.3 percent on the season, and he logged just 11 minutes on Friday, so we're not expecting a repeat performance. That said, owners in deep leagues may want to grab him in case Bradley Beal's wrist injury keeps him out much longer.
Feb 4 - 9:42 PM

Garrett Temple started at SG but had just two points and zero assists on Saturday, as the Wizards lost their fourth consecutive game.

Temple functioned reasonably well as a fill-in PG earlier this season, but he's too poor a shooter to be effective playing SG alongside John Wall. Randy Wittman seems to agree and Temple played only 11 minutes tonight.
Feb 3 - 12:08 AM

Garrett Temple will draw the start Wednesday night with Bradley Beal (wrist) sidelined.

Coach Randy Wittman said Temple is starting because he wants to keep the rotation the same. While Temple could get a few extra minutes with Beal sidelined, we still don't think he presents much value outside of the deepest leagues.
Jan 30 - 5:52 PM

Garrett Temple played just eight minutes in Washington's victory on Saturday.

The D-League call-up had played at least 30 minutes in each of the past three games, but he won't have a significant role as long as A.J. Price and John Wall are active. For deep league owners, it was fun while it lasted.
Jan 12 - 9:56 PM

Garrett Temple's contract will be guaranteed by the Wizards for the rest of the season.

Temple is playing over 31 minutes per game as a starter in the past four games, averaging just 3.5 points with 0.5 threes, 3.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks. He's shooting 4-of-26 from the field in January, but the Wizards' dire need for a PG enabled him to lock up a roster spot.
Jan 7 - 3:14 PM

Garrett Temple handed out seven assists in 32 minutes vs. the Heat on Sunday but he was scoreless on 0-of-7 FGs.

Shelvin Mack had seven points with zero assists in 17 minutes off the bench, and it seems Temple will keep the starting PG job until A.J. Price and/or John Wall return. The Wizards' two D-League callups are battling for a roster spot, and Temple is merely an assists specialist.
