Garrett Temple scored 12 points with three rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers against the Bucks on Wednesday.
It's tough to count on any Kings vet right now with how the front office finally is getting to play the youth. Temple can remain on the wire in just about all fantasy leagues. Mar 23 - 1:03 AM

Date:

Garrett Temple will come off the bench on Wednesday.

Arron Afflalo is getting the start tonight, and this effectively erases Temple's faint fantasy appeal.
Mar 22 - 10:31 PM

Garrett Temple scored 15 points while hitting all three of his attempts from behind the arc in Sunday's 118-102 loss in San Antonio.

Temple matched his best shooting night since returning from a long-term hamstring injury, and this was just the second time he played in a back-to-back situation since coming back March 5. The last time he struggled in both ends of the back-to-back, but he obviously excelled this time around.
Mar 19 - 10:17 PM

Garrett Temple scored seven points with three rebounds, four assists, three steals and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes against the Thunder on Saturday.

He took some friendly fire from Kosta Koufos to the groin, but he was OK after a trip to the bench. While Temple did start, his time in the first unit likely won't be lasting very long. Even after a decent line today, he's not going to be worth owning in most leagues with the Kings going so young these days.
Mar 18 - 5:38 PM

Garrett Temple will start against the Thunder on Saturday.

With Arron Afflalo out, there should be a decent amount of minutes going to Temple tonight. He's still not going to be a fantasy option with the Kings going young. Malachi Richardson (hamstring) returning would also take minutes from him
Mar 18 - 2:47 PM

Garrett Temple scored eight points with four rebounds, four assists, one block and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes off the bench against the Suns on Wednesday.

He is likely going to get a rest day at some point and really can't be counted on in fantasy leagues. Temple shouldn't be owned.
Mar 16 - 2:32 AM

Garrett Temple is starting Monday's game against the Magic.

With Tyreke Evans (ankle) out, and a few others receiving a planned rest, the Kings are dressing just nine players. Temple is in line for a healthy amount of minutes, perhaps his most since returning from a long-term hamstring injury.
Mar 13 - 10:34 PM

Garrett Temple scored seven points with five assists and two 3-pointers in 30 minutes against the Wizards on Friday.

Not having Tyreke Evans obviously helps Temple get minutes, so don't expect him to get 30 minutes on Saturday. Plus, they could even rest Temple on Saturday as well. His upside isn't high enough to own in most leagues with the Kings wanting to get a look at Buddy Hield.
Mar 11 - 1:26 AM

Garrett Temple had six points, seven rebounds, three assists and four steals in 25 minutes vs. the Spurs on Wednesday.

Temple sat out Monday's game to rest but he resumed a significant role tonight -- he was one of seven players to log at least 24 minutes, as the Kings spread minutes thin across their starting lineup and second unit. The veteran guard doesn't offer reliable fantasy value in most leagues, and he's more of an irritant to owners of Buddy Hield, Arron Afflalo and Tyreke Evans.
Mar 9 - 12:58 AM

Garrett Temple (rest) is not on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.

Temple sat out Monday's game as a precaution with it being the second game of a back-to-back set, but he should get back out there tonight. That being said, with 11 games being played on Wednesday, Temple isn't a very attractive target in most scenarios.
Mar 8 - 1:39 PM

Garrett Temple (hamstring) will sit out Monday's game as a precaution.

Temple played 24 minutes in his return on Sunday and the Kings are simply playing it safe in the second half of a back-to-back set. Ben McLemore was an apparent DNP-CD on Sunday but he should return to the rotation with Temple inactive on Monday.
Mar 5 - 9:44 PM

Garrett Temple (hamstring) posted 11 points, four assists, three steals and two rebounds over 24 minutes in Sunday's 110-109 squeaker against the Jazz.

Temple was returning after a 12-game absence. His return to head coach Dave Joerger's bench was bad news for Ben McLemore, who was listed as a DNP-CD. Just because Temple played 24 minutes in this one doesn't mean his role is set, as it is an ever-changing rotation in Sacramento since DeMarcus Cousins was shipped out of town. Joerger continues to mix and match and it's hard to rely on anyone in purple and slate gray for fantasy purposes right now.
Mar 5 - 9:03 PM

Garrett Temple (hamstring) is probable to play Sunday vs. Utah.

Temple has been out of commission since Jan. 31, so expect him to be slowly eased back into things. He's not a realistic target in most settings.
Mar 5 - 4:15 PM

Garrett Temple (hamstring) said it's possible he could return for Sunday's game against the Jazz.

He did add he is feeling good and isn't thinking about aggravating his injury. Temple has been taking shots and going through workouts since last month and has been shooting pre-game since at least Feb. 25. His return could take minutes from Ben McLemore or Arron Afflalo, but there's no need to stash him in most leagues.
Mar 4 - 8:37 PM

Garrett Temple (hamstring) is hoping to return to the Kings lineup by the end of next week.

Temple suffered a partial tear of his left hamstring back on Jan. 31. "I feel like I’m progressing well. I’ve had no setbacks" Temple said. "I’m going to go about a week after I feel 100 percent. If I come back sometime beginning of next week or middle of next week, I think I’d be happy with that." The Kings have plenty of depth on the wing with Tyreke Evans, Buddy Hield and Langston Galloway now in the mix. Temple can be left on waivers in standard leagues.
