Kings beat reporter James Ham expects Garrett Temple to start at shooting guard this season.
Temple is a great fit on and off the court for the Kings, but he's easy to overlook because of all the talk surrounding Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic. Ham adds that Temple will play "significant minutes" this season and that he will likely be asked to play some SF as well. Even if Temple wins the starting job in camp, he offers very little upside outside of 3-pointers and steals, so Hield and Bogdanovic are more appealing in the late rounds. Sep 14 - 10:40 AM

Garrett Temple (rest) will not play against the Clippers on Wednesday.

The Kings will roll with a guard rotation of Langston Galloway, Tyreke Evans, Buddy Hield, Arron Afflalo and Ben McLemore -- they could rule out more players, as well. Temple played 27 minutes on Tuesday, so there's a decent chance those minutes just go to Afflalo after not playing yesterday.
Apr 12 - 5:30 PM

Garrett Temple started Sunday's game in place of Arron Afflalo (rest), scoring 13 points with five rebounds, four steals, three 3-pointers and one assist in 36 minutes of action.

The Kings' rotations have been a mess all season and it's only getting worse in the final week, as coach Dave Joerger continues to rest batches of players on a nightly basis. Temple was coming off a DNP-CD and is impossible to trust, since he has DNPs in three of his past six games. There should be better streaming options on every waiver wire.
Apr 9 - 9:13 PM

Garrett Temple (rest) will be in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockets.

Temple can be viewed as a steals and 3-point specialist in deep leagues, but he doesn't have much standard league appeal at all.
Apr 9 - 6:08 PM

Garrett Temple (rest) will not play against the Lakers on Friday.

The Kings have been alternating Temple's rest days. He played 22 minutes on Tuesday and played both guard positions, so expect Langston Galloway to back up Darren Collison tonight.
Apr 7 - 4:39 PM

Garrett Temple ended up with just three points, five rebounds, five assists, three steals and a blocked shot in 22 minutes Tuesday against Dallas.

Temple struggled with his shot, hitting just one of his five field goal tries while missing all three of his triple attempts. However, he salvaged the line with a solid amount of steals, assists and rebounds. He remains nothing more than fantasy filler in deeper formats unless the team elects to rest Buddy Hield at some point over the remaining games.
Apr 5 - 2:13 AM

Garrett Temple (rest) will not play against the Timberwolves on Saturday.

Tyreke Evans (rest) is also out. Arron Afflalo (personal) will play on Saturday and should see plenty of minutes. Ditto for Buddy Hield. Ben McLemore could see an uptick as well.
Apr 1 - 1:48 PM

Garrett Temple (rest) will not play against the Jazz on Wednesday

There should be a heavy dose of Buddy Hield with Temple out for today. Tyreke Evans and Langston Galloway should get minutes, as well.
Mar 29 - 5:48 PM

Garrett Temple played 34 minutes in Monday's 91-90 win against the Grizzlies, but he finished with just six points, four rebounds, three assists, a steal and a blocked shot.

Temple was leaned upon heavily for his veteran presence in a game head coach Dave Joerger wanted badly against his former team, but Temple misfired on eight of his 10 field goal attempts. When Arron Afflalo (personal) or Tyreke Evans (rest) return it will mean a lesser role - and fantasy appeal - for Temple.
Mar 28 - 1:20 AM

Garrett Temple is in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Grizzlies.

Temple should do some heavy lifting with Arron Afflalo (personal) and Tyreke Evans (rest) in street clothes. While his role might be fairly significant for this game, he isn't someone to rely upon down the stretch. The Kings are likely to lean heavily upon their youth to get a jump on the 2017-18 season.
Mar 27 - 10:35 PM

Garrett Temple scored 12 points with three rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers against the Bucks on Wednesday.

It's tough to count on any Kings vet right now with how the front office finally is getting to play the youth. Temple can remain on the wire in just about all fantasy leagues.
Mar 23 - 1:03 AM

Garrett Temple will come off the bench on Wednesday.

Arron Afflalo is getting the start tonight, and this effectively erases Temple's faint fantasy appeal.
Mar 22 - 10:31 PM

Garrett Temple scored 15 points while hitting all three of his attempts from behind the arc in Sunday's 118-102 loss in San Antonio.

Temple matched his best shooting night since returning from a long-term hamstring injury, and this was just the second time he played in a back-to-back situation since coming back March 5. The last time he struggled in both ends of the back-to-back, but he obviously excelled this time around.
Mar 19 - 10:17 PM

Garrett Temple scored seven points with three rebounds, four assists, three steals and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes against the Thunder on Saturday.

He took some friendly fire from Kosta Koufos to the groin, but he was OK after a trip to the bench. While Temple did start, his time in the first unit likely won't be lasting very long. Even after a decent line today, he's not going to be worth owning in most leagues with the Kings going so young these days.
Mar 18 - 5:38 PM

Garrett Temple will start against the Thunder on Saturday.

With Arron Afflalo out, there should be a decent amount of minutes going to Temple tonight. He's still not going to be a fantasy option with the Kings going young. Malachi Richardson (hamstring) returning would also take minutes from him
