Alonzo Gee has made the Nuggets' regular season roster after 3.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.2 steals in 16 minutes per game during the preseason.
Gee is third on the depth chart at SF, behind Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler, and he may not even crack the rotation during the regular season. Oct 22 - 9:57 AM

The Denver Nuggets have reached a deal with G/F Alonzo Gee, according to RealGM.com

Gee reportedly decided to sign with the Nuggets on Monday and will report to Denver training camp on Tuesday. The 27-year-old averaged 4.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.7 steals in 65 games with the Cavaliers last season, so his fantasy value is virtually non-existent even if he makes the Nuggets' final roster.

The Nuggets are "actively pursuing" free agent Alonzo Gee, according to Shams Charania of RealGM.com.

Gee's $3 million contract was waived by the Kings on Thursday, but he's in shape and has enough talent to at least earn a training-camp invite. Denver only has 13 guaranteed contracts on the books, moreover, so Gee would have a good chance to make the roster ahead of guys like Quincy Miller, Erick Green and Joe Alexander.

The Sacramento Kings waived Alonzo Gee on Thursday.

This move was expected, as Gee was owed a non-guaranted $3 million. He was acquired by the Kings in a deal that involved sending Jason Terry to Houston. Now that he has been waived, it is expected that no team will claim him and he will be free to sign anywhere as a free agent.
Sep 25 - 2:46 PM

Alonzo Gee will be traded to the Kings as part of Sunday's deal for Jason Terry, but he's expected to be waived by Sacramento.

Gee's $3 million is disproportionate to his production, and it's fully unguaranteed. It's safe to assume that no team will claim him off waivers, leaving him free to explore his options as an unrestricted free agent.
Aug 31 - 7:00 PM

Alonzo Gee will be traded from the Pelicans to the Rockets as part of Sunday's complex three-team swap.

Gee was just acquired by New Orleans but they never intended to keep him -- his fully unguaranteed contract was simply a convenient chip to reduce the Pelicans' salary-cap figure. It's doubtful that the Rockets will keep him at $3 million this season, and he's likely to soon enter free agency.
Jul 13 - 7:05 PM

The Cavs have reportedly agreed to send Alonzo Gee to the Pelicans, where he will be waived to make room for Omer Asik.

Details of the deal have yet to emerge. Gee was reportedly moved to Charlotte in a draft day deal for Brendan Haywood, but that deal will now be restructured (Cleveland will still receive former LeBron James nemesis Haywood). This move is mostly about salary, and will allow the Pelicans to complete their deal for Omer Asik.
Jul 11 - 4:02 PM

Alonzo Gee is reportedly heading to the Hornets as a part of the deal for No. 45 pick Dwight Powell.

The Hornets could certainly use some depth at the small forward position but details on this trade and pick seem to be fluid. We'll see how it settles throughout the night.
Jun 27 - 1:02 AM

Alonzo Gee will start in place of Luol Deng (back) on Friday night vs. the Bucks.

It'll be his 22nd start and his previous 21 weren't great, averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 boards and 1.0 triples in 22.3 minutes. Gee is not worth using in almost any format on a 12-game night.
Apr 11 - 7:29 PM

Alonzo Gee played 16 minutes off the bench with Luol Deng (ankle) active on Sunday, finishing with 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting, one 3-pointer, three boards, one assist and one block in 16 minutes.

Gee has been a non-entity in fantasy leagues all season. Tonight's game suggests that he's found a rhythm after logging solid minutes as a starter, but he's not worth a spot on typical fantasy rosters while Deng is in uniform.
Mar 23 - 10:32 PM

Alonzo Gee started in place of Luol Deng (ankle) on Tuesday and hit 5-of-11 shots and two 3-pointers for 12 points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal and two blocks.

Gee was serviceable and did some nice things, but would only be worth grabbing if Deng is going to miss more time.
Mar 18 - 10:20 PM

Alonzo Gee will start at SF with Luol Deng (ankle) out on Tuesday.

Gee quickly fell out of favor as a starter earlier this season, with averages of 4.0 points and 2.9 rebounds in 20 minutes per game, and there's little incentive to gamble on him vs. Miami's defense, especially with Deng is day-today.
Mar 18 - 7:02 PM

Coach Mike Brown said Alonzo Gee will take the majority of Dion Waiters' minutes while Waiters nurses a hyperextended knee.

Waiters, who was playing 24.4 minutes per game in February, has been listed as day-to-day. Gee will see plenty of burn off the bench with C.J. Miles (ankle) out as well, but production is a major concern. Even when Gee was playing 31.0 minutes per game last season, he averaged just 10.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
Feb 21 - 11:17 AM

Cavaliers coach Mike Brown opted not to play Alonzo Gee during Thursday's double-overtime loss to the Hawks, giving Gee his first DNP of the season.

Earl Clark started at SF and neither Gee nor Sergey Karasev stepped foot on the court. In 18 starts this season, Gee was averaging just 4.0 points in 20 minutes per game, so his disappearance isn't a total surprise. Clark also belongs on the waiver wire even though he's been slightly better, averaging 5.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 0.5 blocks in 10 starts this season.

The Cavaliers defeated the Clippers on Saturday despite a scoreless game from Alonzo Gee, who missed all four of his shot attempts.

The fifth-year swingman is averaging 3.7 points in 19 minutes per game this season, and the unimpressive play of Earl Clark (five points, zero rebounds in nine minutes) is the only reason Gee is still in the Cavs' starting lineup.
