Alonzo Gee (personal) and Quincy Pondexter (knee) will not play on Saturday vs. the Pacers.
Gee isn't going to have more than a limited role off the bench this season, so his absence won't be a big deal. Ignore him in fantasy leagues. Pondexter isn't expected to return until November. Oct 3 - 2:01 PM

The Pelicans have officially signed Alonzo Gee.

The swingman averaged just 12.3 minutes per game in Portland last season, but he isn't guaranteed to have a larger role in New Orleans. Gee can be ignored in just about all leagues at the moment.

Jul 17 - 1:38 PM

Alonzo Gee has agreed to a two-year, $2.75 million deal with the Pelicans.

After a quiet year in Portland in which he averaged just 12.3 minutes per game in 54 appearances, Gee will now compete for minutes off the bench with Quincy Pondexter and Luke Babbitt. The defensive specialist connected on 37.1 percent of his 3-pointers last season, but Pondexter and Babbitt are also solid from beyond the arc. As of right now, Gee isn't on the fantasy radar. For what it'w worth, Gee has a player option for the second year of his deal.
Jul 10 - 11:16 AM

Alonzo Gee didn't play until garbage time on Sunday, going scoreless without any field goal or free throw attempts in just three minutes.

He started Wednesday's season finale with Nicolas Batum (knee) unavailable, but this sums up his lack of value while Batum and C.J. McCollum are healthy. Gee may fall out of the rotation entirely once Arron Afflalo returns from his shoulder injury.
Apr 19 - 10:57 PM

Alonzo Gee (foot) is questionable to play against the Grizzlies on Sunday.

With Arron Afflalo (shoulder) doubtful, Gee would likely have been looking at some minutes in the playoff game. If he's out, there should be more time available for C.J. McCollum, Nicolas Batum and Allen Crabbe.
Apr 18 - 3:26 PM

Alonzo Gee made his first start of the 2014-15 season on Tuesday, scoring 10 points on 5-of-10 shooting with three rebounds, two assists, one steal and zero turnovers in 31 minutes.

Necessity is the mother of invention but in this case it was desperation, as Gee hadn't played more than nine minutes in a game for Portland before tonight. Wesley Matthews (Achilles) is done for the season but Nicolas Batum (back) could return as soon as Wednesday in Utah, so there's no reason to approach Gee in fantasy leagues.
Mar 25 - 1:51 AM

Alonzo Gee has reportedly been told that he would start Tuesday's game vs. the Warriors, but he also said that "things could change."

It looks like head coach Terry Stotts is up to his old tricks again, and if this report is true then that would mean that Nicolas Batum (back) is definitely out tonight. Gee is still not worth picking up in any league, but we should be able to provide more information very shortly.
Mar 24 - 9:46 PM

Alonzo Gee (oral surgery) will return to action vs. the Raptors on Sunday.

He missed one game after having two wisdom teeth pulled and he's scheduled to have the third removed eventually, hopefully during the offseason. Gee's role has increased with Wes Matthews (Achilles) done for the season, but he's still a non-factor outside of the deepest leagues.
Mar 15 - 6:50 PM

Alonzo Gee (oral surgery) will not play against the Pistons on Friday.

With Gee out, there should be more minutes for Dorell Wright and Arron Afflalo. Gee is basically in the same role as he was with the Nuggets as the fourth wing and is only worth owning in very deep leagues.
Mar 13 - 3:11 PM

Alonzo Gee will join the Trail Blazers as part of Thursday's deal centered around Arron Afflalo.

Gee was a throw-in and he's unlikely to find many minutes in a wing rotation that already includes Nicolas Batum, Wes Matthews and Afflalo. His acquisition is good news for the Blazers' depth chart but fantasy owners should be indifferent.
Feb 19 - 11:37 AM

Alonzo Gee played 30 minutes against the Hornets on Monday with 15 points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Garbage time was a factor tonight, but it's pretty clear Gee will be playing more. His minutes will likely be in the low 20s at least until Danilo Gallinari (knee) can return. Gee is going to be inconsistent and doesn't translate to great fantasy value anyway, so he's only worth a look in deep leagues.
Mon, Dec 22, 2014 09:31:00 PM

Alonzo Gee is a candidate to get increased minutes at small forward with Danilo Gallinari (knee) sidelined.

With Darrell Arthur (leg) also out, Gee is going to be the main backup behind Wilson Chandler. We wouldn't get too excited about Gee's fantasy prospects, but those in deeper formats can monitor his progress from a distance.
Mon, Dec 22, 2014 12:35:00 PM

Alonzo Gee played 21 minutes off the bench on Sunday with 14 points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals.

He's given the Nuggets some good minutes this season and coach Brian Shaw likes him quite a bit. Gee won't be this productive, but the Nuggets are going to go small a lot, which should keep his minutes around 20. He's only worth a look in deep leagues.
Sun, Dec 7, 2014 06:29:00 PM

Alonzo Gee picked up 18 minutes against the Suns on Wednesday with 11 points, five rebounds, one assist and two turnovers.

He has seen playing time on occasion and even played over Kenneth Faried down the stretch in a game earlier this season. The Nuggets will likely throw him out there for minutes in the low 20s with Danilo Gallinari (knee) and Randy Foye (knee) hurt. He's only an option in deep leagues, of course.
Thu, Nov 27, 2014 02:52:00 AM

Alonzo Gee has made the Nuggets' regular season roster after 3.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.2 steals in 16 minutes per game during the preseason.

Gee is third on the depth chart at SF, behind Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler, and he may not even crack the rotation during the regular season.
