Alonzo Gee will remain in the starting lineup for Monday's game vs. the Rockets.
Dante Cunningham (illness) is available, but he will come off the bench. Gee is coming off a nice game with 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and one steal in 35 minutes, but he is only on the radar in deeper leagues because he has very little upside. Jan 25 - 6:29 PM

Alonzo Gee drew the start on Saturday against the Bucks with 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and one steal in 35 minutes.

He was effective on the offensive end thanks to six shots right at the rim. Gee started for Dante Cunningham (illness) tonight, but Cunningham should be well for the next game. Leave Gee on the wire.

Alonzo Gee will start in place of Dante Cunningham (illness) on Saturday.

He is probably looking at minutes in the upper 20s, but Gee is rarely involved in the offense. His upside is too low to count on in most leagues tonight.

Jan 23 - 6:42 PM

Alonzo Gee scored seven points with nine rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.

HIs minutes were up a tad because of Eric Gordon (finger) missing time, but obviously he is not going to be a fantasy factor with nothing really draw up for him. Gee did have a terrific putback slam tonight (in link below).
Jan 21 - 10:53 PM

Alonzo Gee will come off the Pelicans bench for Friday's game vs. the Pacers.

Alvin Gentry has hinted at lineup changes for a while now, and he even benched Gee after halftime on Dec. 31, so this shouldn't come as a big surprise. He didn't have fantasy appeal while starting 26 games this season, so Gee should already be on your waiver wire.
Jan 8 - 6:23 PM

Alonzo Gee was benched at halftime in favor of Norris Cole on Thursday vs. the Clippers.

Gee was rumored to move to the bench prior to the game, so maybe coach Alvin Gentry is officially ready to shake things up. Gee has very little upside anyways and recorded zero points with one assist in 14 minutes in this one, so he belongs on the wire in almost all leagues.

The Pelicans appear to be sticking with their current starting lineup.

Coach Alvin Gentry hinted a change is coming, but he said he'll likely make it in 2016. Alonzo Gee could be moving out of the lineup soon.

Coach Alvin Gentry hinted he might want to make a change to starting lineup.

He said he didn't want to start Jrue Holiday or Ryan Anderson, so it probably means Alonzo Gee could be moved out. Quincy Pondexter is probably the best bet to start once he gets healthy, which could be next month. There is also a chance Luke Babbitt starts for the Pelicans in place of Gee. Regardless, you would have to be in a very deep league to make a move with this possible change.

Alonzo Gee started Sunday's game but lasted only 17 minutes, finishing with four points, two boards, one assist and one steal.

Gee is playing 23.3 minutes per game as a starter but he has a paltry usage rate of 9.1, which is third-lowest among qualifying players ahead of only Tayshaun Prince and James Young. There's no reason to touch Gee outside of the deepest formats.
Sun, Dec 20, 2015 11:27:00 PM

Alonzo Gee played 37 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday with nine points, five rebounds, two steals, five assists and one 3-pointer.

The Pelicans did not go small tonight, so Gee saw a big chunk of minutes. His bump had a lot to do with Jrue Holiday resting, but Holiday won't be rested going forward on back-to-back sets. Ignore this nice Roto line.
Sun, Dec 13, 2015 12:17:00 AM

Alonzo Gee played 23 minutes against the Rockets on Wednesday with four points, three rebounds, two assists and one turnover.

It's a pretty big surprise to see him get so many minutes while both players suffer in the playing-time department. Gee has very little value, obviously.
Thu, Dec 3, 2015 12:53:00 AM

Alonzo Gee scored two points with six rebounds, two assists and no turnovers in 33 minutes on Friday.

Even with all this playing time, Gee is likely going to see his minutes come down once Tyreke Evans (knee) returns. That should happen within the next 1-3 games.
Sat, Nov 28, 2015 03:44:00 AM

Alonzo Gee started at SF again on Sunday and posted eight points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals, with only one turnover in 38 minutes.

Gee seems to have locked up the starting job in Tyreke Evans' absence, as Luke Babbitt (four points in eight minutes) failed to capitalize on five starts earlier in the year. Gee benefited from the frenetic pace of Sunday's game, and isn't worth owning with Tyreke Evans (knee) nearing a return.
Sun, Nov 22, 2015 09:03:00 PM

Alonzo Gee did not score in 25 minutes during a start against the Raptors on Friday, adding four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The Pelicans are 1-8 and they started Alonzo Gee tonight. Gee has a ton of highlight reel dunks in his NBA career, but he's not worth owning in any league.
Sat, Nov 14, 2015 12:39:00 AM

Alonzo Gee will start on Friday night.

The rest of the starting lineup will be Jrue Holiday, Eric Gordon, Ryan Anderson and Omer Asik. Gee isn't an option. Luke Babbitt will be coming off the bench.
