Alonzo Gee scored two points with six rebounds, two assists and no turnovers in 33 minutes on Friday.
Even with all this playing time, Gee is likely going to see his minutes come down once Tyreke Evans (knee) returns. That should happen within the next 1-3 games. Nov 28 - 3:44 AM

Alonzo Gee started at SF again on Sunday and posted eight points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals, with only one turnover in 38 minutes.

Gee seems to have locked up the starting job in Tyreke Evans' absence, as Luke Babbitt (four points in eight minutes) failed to capitalize on five starts earlier in the year. Gee benefited from the frenetic pace of Sunday's game, and isn't worth owning with Tyreke Evans (knee) nearing a return.
Nov 22 - 9:03 PM

Alonzo Gee did not score in 25 minutes during a start against the Raptors on Friday, adding four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The Pelicans are 1-8 and they started Alonzo Gee tonight. Gee has a ton of highlight reel dunks in his NBA career, but he's not worth owning in any league.
Nov 14 - 12:39 AM

Alonzo Gee will start on Friday night.

The rest of the starting lineup will be Jrue Holiday, Eric Gordon, Ryan Anderson and Omer Asik. Gee isn't an option. Luke Babbitt will be coming off the bench.
Nov 13 - 6:58 PM

Alonzo Gee (personal) will play in Friday's game vs. the Hawks.

Gee's role off the bench is going to be very limited while the Pelicans are at full strength, so he isn't worth drafting in almost any league.
Oct 9 - 1:11 PM

Alonzo Gee (personal) and Quincy Pondexter (knee) will not play on Saturday vs. the Pacers.

Gee isn't going to have more than a limited role off the bench this season, so his absence won't be a big deal. Ignore him in fantasy leagues. Pondexter isn't expected to return until November.
Oct 3 - 2:01 PM

The Pelicans have officially signed Alonzo Gee.

The swingman averaged just 12.3 minutes per game in Portland last season, but he isn't guaranteed to have a larger role in New Orleans. Gee can be ignored in just about all leagues at the moment.

Jul 17 - 1:38 PM

Alonzo Gee has agreed to a two-year, $2.75 million deal with the Pelicans.

After a quiet year in Portland in which he averaged just 12.3 minutes per game in 54 appearances, Gee will now compete for minutes off the bench with Quincy Pondexter and Luke Babbitt. The defensive specialist connected on 37.1 percent of his 3-pointers last season, but Pondexter and Babbitt are also solid from beyond the arc. As of right now, Gee isn't on the fantasy radar. For what it'w worth, Gee has a player option for the second year of his deal.
Jul 10 - 11:16 AM

Alonzo Gee didn't play until garbage time on Sunday, going scoreless without any field goal or free throw attempts in just three minutes.

He started Wednesday's season finale with Nicolas Batum (knee) unavailable, but this sums up his lack of value while Batum and C.J. McCollum are healthy. Gee may fall out of the rotation entirely once Arron Afflalo returns from his shoulder injury.
Apr 19 - 10:57 PM

Alonzo Gee (foot) is questionable to play against the Grizzlies on Sunday.

With Arron Afflalo (shoulder) doubtful, Gee would likely have been looking at some minutes in the playoff game. If he's out, there should be more time available for C.J. McCollum, Nicolas Batum and Allen Crabbe.
Apr 18 - 3:26 PM

Alonzo Gee made his first start of the 2014-15 season on Tuesday, scoring 10 points on 5-of-10 shooting with three rebounds, two assists, one steal and zero turnovers in 31 minutes.

Necessity is the mother of invention but in this case it was desperation, as Gee hadn't played more than nine minutes in a game for Portland before tonight. Wesley Matthews (Achilles) is done for the season but Nicolas Batum (back) could return as soon as Wednesday in Utah, so there's no reason to approach Gee in fantasy leagues.
Mar 25 - 1:51 AM

Alonzo Gee has reportedly been told that he would start Tuesday's game vs. the Warriors, but he also said that "things could change."

It looks like head coach Terry Stotts is up to his old tricks again, and if this report is true then that would mean that Nicolas Batum (back) is definitely out tonight. Gee is still not worth picking up in any league, but we should be able to provide more information very shortly.
Mar 24 - 9:46 PM

Alonzo Gee (oral surgery) will return to action vs. the Raptors on Sunday.

He missed one game after having two wisdom teeth pulled and he's scheduled to have the third removed eventually, hopefully during the offseason. Gee's role has increased with Wes Matthews (Achilles) done for the season, but he's still a non-factor outside of the deepest leagues.
Mar 15 - 6:50 PM

Alonzo Gee (oral surgery) will not play against the Pistons on Friday.

With Gee out, there should be more minutes for Dorell Wright and Arron Afflalo. Gee is basically in the same role as he was with the Nuggets as the fourth wing and is only worth owning in very deep leagues.
Mar 13 - 3:11 PM

Alonzo Gee will join the Trail Blazers as part of Thursday's deal centered around Arron Afflalo.

Gee was a throw-in and he's unlikely to find many minutes in a wing rotation that already includes Nicolas Batum, Wes Matthews and Afflalo. His acquisition is good news for the Blazers' depth chart but fantasy owners should be indifferent.
