The Wizards are expected to renounce their qualifying offer for Othyus Jeffers, who tore his ACL in July.

Washington seems to like Jeffers but renouncing his rights would clear his salary from their books. He's not expected to return to basketball activities for another month.

Othyus Jeffers (torn ACL) is about one month away from returning.

Jeffers, a restricted free agent, will be looking to prove to an interested club that his knee is no longer an issue. He'll have to work quickly in order to secure a roster spot before the season tips off.

Othyus Jeffers has spent much of the offseason rehabbing from a torn ACL he suffered during a July workout.

Jeffers is using the extra time off from the lockout to recover from the injury. He is a restricted free agent and will look to earn a reserve role on a team's bench moving forward.

Othyus Jeffers scored 13 points on 4-of-7 shooting with 11 rebounds, two assists, and three steals in 30 minutes off the bench on Saturday.

One look at his game log will tell you that he can't be trusted in most formats, though we wouldn't be surprised if he showed up again in the box score. That said, pulling the trigger on him unless you're in a really deep format isn't advisable. You can add Yi Jianlian (15 points, nine boards, 21 minutes) to that category, too.

Othyus Jeffers started with John Wall's suspension and had 13 points, four rebounds and three steals Friday.

He might be worth keeping an eye on with all of Washington's injury problems, but will go back to the bench, and probably obscurity, with Wall coming back for the next one.

Othyus Jeffers will start at SG for the Wizards on Friday, with John Wall suspended and Nick Young (knee) still sidelined.

Jeffers is on his second 10-day contract and won't have fantasy value despite this temporary promotion -- Wall will only miss one game and Young could return any day now.

Wizards signed G/F Othyus Jeffers to a 10-day contract.

Jeffers has spent time with the Jazz and Spurs earlier this season before landing with the Iowa Energy of the NBADL. The two-time D-League All-Star is needed with the Wizards' entire lineup seemingly hobbled.

Jeffers will take the place of Steve Novak on the active roster. He averaged 21 points in the D-League this season but won't have fantasy value in San Antonio.

The Jazz signed guard Othyus Jeffers from the D-League to a 10-day contract.

It's not often we have to manually add a player to our database, but this is one of those occasions. Jeffers, out of Robert Morris University, was averaging 14.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.8 steals while shooting .510 from the field through 22 games for the Iowa Energy.
