Daniel Orton is finalizing a deal to play for AEK Athens in Greece.

Orton has had brief stints with the Magic, Thunder and 76ers, but it doesn't sound like he will be joining the NBA any time soon. Orton can be ignored in all fantasy leagues.

Daniel Orton has joined the Piston's D-League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Drive.

He was cut from his team in the Philippines for making fun of Manny Pacquiao's basketball skills, so he will obviously be glad to be in a more stable environment. Orton may be able to land a 10-day contract with the Pistons, but he is firmly off the radar in all formats at the moment.

Former NBA center Daniel Orton was released from his team in the Philippines after making fun of Manny Pacquiao's basketball ability.

"[Pacquiao playing] is a joke," said Orton. "Professional boxer? Yeah. Congressman? All right. But professional basketball player? Seriously? It's a joke." Pacquiao is a player-coach for Kia Carnival in the Philippines and he has scored just one point in four appearances. Having said that, Pacquiao is by far the most popular man in his country, and as humorous as this story is, it's not that surprising to see so much outrage over such comments. Orton might eventually return to the NBA at some point, but he is miles off the fantasy radar at the moment. Orton may want to consider laying low for a while, as this has got to be humiliating.

Daniel Orton has reached an agreement with Shanxi in China.

Orton was waived by the Wizards on Thursday and is now headed to China. He was hoping to latch on to an NBA roster but will likely have to play out his contract overseas before he gets another opportunity.

Wizards waive C Daniel Orton.

If he winds up on another team, he will be suspended for the first game of the season. Orton put on a few pounds and hasn't really been getting up and down the court very well. He's not expected to be on an NBA roster this season.

Daniel Orton (strained calf) is playing for the Wizards in the Las Vegas Summer League, but he didn't practice on Sunday and is listed as day-to-day.

Orton's injury is "mild" but he may also just be out of shape -- in his only game in Vegas he scored four points, turned the ball over four times and committed six personal fouls in 17 minutes. Whether or not he earns a guaranteed NBA contract this season, Orton isn't worth fantasy owners' attention.

Sixers waive C Daniel Orton.

Orton averaged 3.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 22 games this year. He may earn a few more 10-day contracts this season but he belongs in the fantasy FA pool.

Daniel Orton will be suspended one game for his altercation in Saturday's game against the Blazers.

Orton won't play on Monday against the Nets. He's played just 4.1 minutes per game in December and is hanging on by a thread on the thin Philly roster.

76ers big man Daniel Orton may be suspended by the league for throwing an elbow at Meyers Leonard during an on-court scuffle on Saturday.

Orton was ejected with a Flagrant-2 foul and it would be surprising if the NBA doesn't punish him since his elbow was directed at Leonard's head. Even if he is suspended, it shouldn't make any impact for fantasy owners.

76ers big man Daniel Orton picked up a DNP-CD on Friday after starting the Sixers' previous two games.

His temporary surge into the starting lineup came with Spencer Hawes (knee) and Thaddeus Young (personal) both unavailable, and anyone who picked him up should obviously cut him. Asked about Orton's DNP, coach Brett Brown responded, "Part of the NBA. You’ve got so many bigs. It’s horses for courses, depending on who you’re playing."

Daniel Orton started Saturday's game and posted his first double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds in 36 minutes.

Orton also swatted two shots, but it's telling that this was his best line of the season. Once Spencer Hawes (knee) and Thaddeus Young (personal) return, Orton will be back on the fantasy scrap heap as a middling backup big man.

Daniel Orton scored four points on 1-of-3 shooting with six rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 19 minutes on Friday against the Bucks.

Orton started his second straight game with Thad Young out and this low-end line would only really serve deeper leagues, so there's no reason to pay Orton much fantasy attention yet.

Daniel Orton started at power forward for the Sixers on Wednesday and had six points, six rebounds and a block in 17 minutes.

The fact he's still in the league, let alone starting for someone, is pretty impressive, but he has no fantasy value unless Thaddeus Young (personal) happens to miss several games. And even then, it's doubtful that you'd want to own Orton.

Daniel Orton (knee) did not play in Monday's game against the Spurs.

He was available to play, but never saw any game action and may be out of the rotation. Move along, there's nothing to see here.
