Kevin Seraphin has reportedly agreed to a two-year deal with Barca of Spain.

Seraphin can't actually sign the contract until he clears waivers on Thursday, but it sounds like he'll be headed overseas for the next two seasons. Seraphin can be a solid backup big man, but his inability to stay healthy over the years has really hurt his value.

The Pacers have waived Kevin Seraphin.

Earlier reports had indicated that the Pacers were leaning towards keeping Seraphin, so this move is somewhat surprising. Seraphin should be able to find a minimum level deal somewhere, but regardless of where he winds up, he'll remain a non-factor in fantasy hoops.
Jul 31 - 5:16 PM

Barcelona reportedly have interest in Pacers big man Kevin Seraphin.

Seraphin is owed a non-guaranteed $1.9 million in 2017-18 and the Pacers have until Aug. 1 to decide on his future. Nate Taylor of the Indianapolis Star recently reported that the Pacers are planning to keep him, but his fantasy outlook wouldn't be great with the team rebuilding. If he comes back, expect him to have a limited role behind Myles Turner.
Jul 23 - 9:47 AM

The Pacers are expected to guarantee Kevin Seraphin's full contract for the 2017-18 season.

Indiana has until August 1st to make its final decision, but GM Kevin Pritchard told reporters that the team currently has 14 guaranteed contracts, which means they have likely decided to hold on to Seraphin. He averaged 4.7 points and 2.9 rebounds in 49 games for Pacers last season. He may see a slight increase in his playing time next season, but most likely not enough to warrant consideration in standard fantasy leagues.
Jul 18 - 10:57 AM

Kevin Seraphin hit eight of his 10 field-goal attempts to finish with 17 points, six rebounds and a steal over 19 minutes in Monday's game at Philadelphia.

Seraphin is getting plenty of opportunity down the stretch with Al Jefferson (ankle) on the shelf. The 6-foot-10 center is averaging 13.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per game over his past three outings. He might be a decent low-end sleeper candidates in DFS for Wednesday's finale against the Hawks.
Apr 10 - 10:02 PM

Kevin Seraphin may have played his best game as a Pacer against the Bucks on Thursday, scoring 11 points with seven rebounds, one assist and one block in 23 minutes.

This game comes out of nowhere after Seraphin rarely played this month even with Al Jefferson out of the lineup. Seraphin will likely be falling back into the single-digit minutes his next time out.
Apr 6 - 9:45 PM

Kevin Seraphin was a DNP-CD for Monday's game against the Jazz.

Al Jefferson got into the game and was hot in his brief window of playing time, keeping Seraphin nailed to the bench in the process. Rakeem Christmas, Jefferson and Seraphin are each battling for a small amount of minutes, and Seraphin and Jefferson are the least attractive of the group from a fantasy perspective.
Mar 20 - 10:38 PM

Kevin Seraphin will come off the bench against the Grizzlies on Friday.

He could see minutes as the backup five with Al Jefferson (mouth) out. Seraphin still can't be counted on in most fantasy leagues.
Feb 24 - 6:43 PM

Kevin Seraphin scored nine points with five rebounds, one assist and two turnovers in 25 minutes against the Wizards on Thursday.

Thanks to injuries to Thaddeus Young (wrist) and Lavoy Allen (knee), Seraphin had a nice little chance to show he was worth his free agent deal. In his last five games with this opportunity, he averaged 9.4 points, 3.8 boards, 0.8 assists and 0.8 blocks. With a week off to get healthy, he'll likely be losing a lot of playing time after the break.
Feb 16 - 9:27 PM

Kevin Seraphin earned another start on Wednesday and posted four points on 2-of-3 shooting with three rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes of action.

Lavoy Allen (knee) was out tonight, as was Thaddeus Young (wrist), so Seraphin was gifted another starting opportunity vs. the Cavs. The Pacers go again on Thursday and they're likely to play it safe with Allen and Thad, so Seraphin should hold mild streamer and DFS appeal for at least one more game. Don't expect much after the break, though.
Feb 15 - 10:17 PM

Kevin Seraphin started at power forward for the Pacers on Monday and had 12 points, four rebounds and a block on 6-of-9 shooting in 27 minutes.

Lavoy Allen (knee) and Thaddeus Young (wrist) are both banged up right now, so Seraphin got the call. He came through with a decent line, but unless Allen and Young are going to miss a lot more time, Seraphin isn't worth a real look in fantasy. But if you used him tonight as a flier, he at least came close to hitting value.
Feb 13 - 9:34 PM

Kevin Seraphin will move into the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Spurs, with both Thaddeus Young (wrist) and Lavoy Allen (knee) unavailable.

The Pacers don't really have any other options to start at the four with both Young and Allen out, so Seraphin gets the call out of necessity, and we could see Al Jefferson get some more minutes tonight. Jeff Teague, Glenn Robinson, Paul George and Myles Turner will join Seraphin in the starting five for Monday's game, with C.J. Miles going to the bench.

Kevin Seraphin scored a season-high 16 points on Friday vs. the Wizards, adding seven rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 25 minutes.

This has fluke written all over it. Seraphin picked up some extra run with Thaddeus Young (wrist) out again and made the most of it by hitting 8-of-10 shots from the field, but he played 13 and 15 minutes in his previous two outings. With Young considered day-to-day, leave Seraphin on the wire unless he does this a couple more times.
Feb 11 - 12:45 AM

Kevin Seraphin (knee) picked up a DNP-CD on Wednesday.

Seraphin was available to play but he's not part of the rotation. We're taking him off the injury report.
