Kevin Seraphin scored 13 points against the Pacers on Saturday with six rebounds and one block in 20 minutes.
He's been very good since the opener, making 70.8 percent from the field in his last four games. Seraphin is still not going to get enough minutes to matter in most leagues while Nene and Marcin Gortat are healthy. Nov 8 - 10:01 PM

With Marcin Gortat in a bit of foul trouble on Tuesday, Kevin Seraphin notched multiple season-highs with 15 points on 6-of-6 shooting in 22 minutes.

Gortat also played 22 minutes, as did reserve big man Drew Gooden, who chipped in 10 points, one 3-pointer and four rebounds. The vast majority of nights, however, there won't be enough playing time available for Seraphin or Gooden to help fantasy owners.
Nov 4 - 10:57 PM

Kevin Seraphin turned in a solid game on Monday with 14 points, five rebounds and one block in 24 minutes.

It's been a roller coaster for Seraphin in the preseason. In his last five games, he's averaged 11.6 points, 7.6 boards, 1.2 assists, 1.0 blocks and 4.0 fouls in 22.6 minutes. With the Wizards missing Nene for the opener due to a suspension, this is a realistic line for the 24-year-old big man.
Oct 20 - 10:13 PM

Kevin Seraphin started and hit 6-of-12 shots for 18 points and 12 rebounds on Wednesday.

This was quite a game for Seraphin and if Nene goes down at some point, he could get some serious run. But for now, he's still not someone you want to target in standard leagues. However, if you want to use him as a cheap option in Fanduel leagues on opening Wednesday, he should be a great play with the Wizards bigs thinned out by suspensions, including Nene.
Oct 15 - 11:20 PM

Kevin Seraphin came off Washington's bench for 14 points, eight rebounds and one block in 22 minutes, making 6-of-10 FGs along the way.

Seraphin has been very foul-prone in four preseason games, but he also looks healthy and fit as he prepares for a contract year. He scored double-digit points eight times during the entire 2013-14 season, and won't be a reliable fantasy option in a busy rotation featuring Marcin Gortat, Nene, Kris Humphries and DeJuan Blair. Owners looking ahead to daily-league formats should keep him in mind on opening night, however, as suspensions will thin out the Wizards' frontcourt.
Oct 12 - 4:07 PM

Kevin Seraphin fouled out in 16 minutes with four points, nine boards, two assists, three blocks and three turnovers.

He's slated for a bigger role on opening night with the Wizards missing most of their big men. Hopefully Seraphin gets it turned around, but it might not ever happen.
Oct 10 - 10:01 PM

Kevin Seraphin came off the bench and hit 5-of-8 shots for 11 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal in 25 minutes on Wednesday.

Seraphin could play a huge role on opening night for the Wizards, as Nene and DeJuan Blair will be serving one-game suspensions, and Kris Humphries (hand) is hurt. Keep that in mind when you're setting your first FanDuel lineup of the season.
Oct 8 - 10:34 PM

Kevin Seraphin (knee surgery) dropped 20 pounds in the summer and has looked better at camp.

He was a major letdown after the Wizards spent a ton of time guiding him in training camp last season. Seraphin could have an opportunity should the oft-injured Nene go down, but Kris Humphries will likely get the first shot in that scenario.
Oct 2 - 8:03 PM

Kevin Seraphin (knee surgery) will be ready when training camp opens in September.

The Wizards chose not to release Seraphin to play in the FIBA World Cup of Basketball so that the 24-year-old will have time to recover from a minor procedure to clean out his right knee. Once healthy, Seraphin will join a crowded Wizards frontcourt of Nene, Marcin Gortat, Kris Humphries, and DeJuan Blair and fantasy owners would be wise to look elsewhere during drafts.

Kevin Seraphin (knee) will not play in this summer's FIBA World Cup of Basketball.

Team France announced on Wednesday that Seraphin has not been released to play in the World Cup by the Washington Wizards as he hasn't fully recovered from arthroscopic surgery on his knee. Seraphin only averaged 4.7 points and 2.4 rebounds with the Wizards last season and will be hard-pressed to make a fantasy impact playing behind Marcin Gortat, Nene, and DeJuan Blair.

Kevin Seraphin signed a $3.8 million offer sheet to stay with the Wizards.

There isn't much of a chance for Seraphin and he'll be buried on the bench. He has been a project for them the past couple years and is unlikely to see major minutes.
Jul 18 - 7:04 PM

The Wizards would like to bring back restricted free agent Kevin Seraphin, but at less money than his qualifying offer.

The Wizards extended Seraphin a $3.89 qualifying offer, but would like to bring him back at a lesser yearly value on a longer deal, according to J. Michael of CSN Washington. The Wizards have a crowded frontcourt with Marcin Gortat, Nene, and newly-acquired DeJuan Blair, so there is a chance they they end up renouncing their rights to the 24-year-old if they can't agree to more team-friendly terms. Serpahin has potential, but only averaged 4.7 points and 2.4 rebounds in just under 11 minutes per game last season, so his fantasy value is limited barring a change of scenery.
Jul 17 - 10:10 AM

The Wizards extended a $3.9 million qualifying offer to Kevin Seraphin, making him a restricted free agent.

This is a significant bet on Seraphin's future development, despite his regression last season -- he averaged only 4.7 points and 2.4 rebounds in 10.9 minutes per game behind starting C Marcin Gortat. The Wizards are eager to re-sign Gortat in free agency, so a change of scenery might be Seraphin's best chance to salvage some fantasy appeal in 2014-15.
Jul 1 - 4:51 PM

The Wizards will have to decide by Monday whether to make Kevin Seraphin a restricted free agent by extending a $3.9 million qualifying to him.

Seraphin dealt with a knee injury last season and even fell out of the rotation, although he's talented enough that the Wizards are expected to pull the trigger and make the offer on Monday.
Jun 28 - 10:17 PM

Kevin Seraphin will play for France in the 2014 FIBA World Cup.

Last season Seraphin elected to sit out of the national competition and work on his game stateside, France then went on to win the tournament. "At the end of the day, my mindset is everything I do I try to do [without] regret because regret is one of the worst feelings," Seraphin said. "No regret. I'm happy for them what they did last summer. Now it would be good if we did the same things this summer." Seraphin showed promise during his 2012-13 campaign, but regressed substantially this season. He may be able to help his French national team, but he's not much of a fantasy option playing behind Nene and Marcin Gortat.
