Kevin Seraphin (illness) will be available for Sunday's game against the Pistons.
Seraphin will play limited minutes behind Kris Humphries and Nene tonight, and with season averages of 7.0 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, he can't be considered a viable option in most leagues. Feb 22 - 2:17 PM

Kevin Seraphin's (illness) status is still up in the air for Sunday's game against Detroit.

With Nene and Kris Humphries both less than 100 percent, the Wizards could definitely use Seraphin's presence off the bench. We should know more closer to tip-off, so owners will want to check back later for updates. With averages of 7.8 points and 3.8 boards, Seraphin's fantasy value is limited to deeper leagues.
Feb 22 - 1:22 PM

Kevin Seraphin (illness) did get in some practice on Saturday.

That suggests he'll be able to play on Sunday against the Pistons. Nene didn't look totally healthy and Kris Humphries is also less than 100 percent, so the Wizards could use Seraphin right now as a backup. He's not worth owning in most leagues.
Feb 21 - 2:38 PM

Updating a previous report, Kevin Seraphin (flu-like symptoms) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Cavs.

Look for Kris Humphries to pick up most of Seraphin's reserve minutes, but with averages of just 8.1 points and 6.4 rebounds with the second unit, Humphries can't be relied upon for production in standard leagues.
Feb 20 - 7:50 PM

Kevin Seraphin (flu-like symptoms) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Cavs.

If Seraphin is unable to go on Friday, Kris Humphries will pick up most of his minutes, although neither guy can be considered a viable option in standard leagues.
Feb 20 - 7:46 PM

The Wolves are interested in Kevin Seraphin, according to J. Michael of CSN Washington

With the Wolves likely to trade Thaddeus Young and maybe even Anthony Bennett, there could be some playing time for Seraphin on the Wolves. He's still been very inconsistent in the past two seasons, so fantasy owners can keep him on the wire in most leagues.
Feb 18 - 6:03 PM

Kevin Seraphin (ankle) is active for Saturday's game against the Nets.

He's only averaging 15.6 minutes per game this season, so playing at less than 100 percent isn't going to make him an attractive option in almost any league. Expect DeJuan Blair to fall out of the rotation with this news.
Feb 7 - 6:38 PM

Kevin Seraphin (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Nets.

He wasn't able to play against the Hornets on Thursday, and the Wizards may decide to rest him until he is 100 percent. Seraphin's absence wouldn't have a big impact on the Wizards' rotation due to the fact that he only averages 15.6 minutes per game, so Kris Humphries and DeJuan Blair could see a few extra minutes off the bench on Saturday.

Feb 7 - 11:41 AM

Kevin Seraphin (ankle) will not play against the Hornets on Thursday.

It's a right ankle sprain and he may have suffered the injury on Wednesday. Drew Gooden is also inactive, so Kris Humphries and Nene should play a little more tonight.
Feb 5 - 7:10 PM

Kevin Seraphin played 19 minutes against the Hornets on Monday with six points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal.

He was not expected to play tonight due to an illness. Seraphin played more minutes than usual tonight because he was playing well. Still, Seraphin is going to need multiple injuries to the frontcourt in order to get consistent minutes.
Feb 2 - 10:37 PM

Kevin Seraphin (illness) is unlikely to play against the Hornets on Monday.

He's been playing 14.2 minutes per game over his last five, so expect Nene, Kris Humphries and Marcin Gortat to play a little more. Drew Gooden may also just slide into Seraphin's spot in the rotation.
Feb 2 - 5:27 PM

Kevin Seraphin scored 14 points against the 76ers on Monday with nine rebounds and three turnovers.

It's too bad he can't play against the 76ers every night with this game basically over at halftime. Seraphin has been playing better and maybe he gets more run once Nene needs to rest. He's not worth owning in most leagues.
Jan 19 - 5:52 PM

Kevin Seraphin had another strong game on Tuesday, scoring a season-high 17 points on 6-of-8 FGs and 5-of-5 FTs with eight rebounds, one assist and one block in 20 minutes off the bench.

He had 13 points and a well-rounded line on Sunday, giving him 10+ points in consecutive games for the first time all season. He's unlikely to keep up this level of efficiency and it would take an injury to Marcin Gortat to propel Seraphin into standard-league consideration, but he's at least on the radar in deeper leagues.
Jan 13 - 9:55 PM

Kevin Seraphin got loose during garbage time on Sunday, putting up 13 points, six rebounds, four assists, three turnovers, and three blocks over 24 minutes of action.

The Wizards were blown out by 31 points in this one, which is why Seraphin saw some extended minutes. He has potential, but as long as the Wizards’ main frontcourt guys (Nene, Marcin Gortat, Kris Humphries) are healthy, he’s not going to be worth owning in standard leagues.
Jan 11 - 6:41 PM

Kevin Seraphin was terrific off the Wizards' bench on Sunday, finishing with 16 points, five boards and two blocks in 28 minutes.

He got some extra run with Marcin Gortat struggling on the night, but this game was more than likely a fluke. Seraphin only gets around 15 minutes per game, so he would need an injury to Gortat before being worth a gamble in standard leagues.
