The Wizards, Lakers and Knicks are still interested in signing free agent Kevin Seraphin.
Seraphin has expressed his desire to be a starter in the NBA, but that isn't likely to happen on any of these teams. He only saw 15.6 minutes per game with the Wizards last season and posted averages of 6.6 points, 3.3 boards and 0.7 blocks, but he will likely only be an asset in deeper leagues unless he lands in an ideal situation. Kevin Seraphin is getting a lot of interest from the Lakers, Mavericks and Wizards.

Seraphin is definitely a capable big, but he was buried on the bench behind Marcin Gortat last season. He has said that he wants to be a starter in the NBA, and a move to Dallas would likely be his only shot to do so. If Seraphin ends up going to the Lakers or Wizards, his fantasy value will be limited.
Jul 12 - 9:56 AM

Kevin Seraphin has drawn interest from at least five teams including the Mavericks, Suns, Lakers, Wizards and Spurs.

He'd be a backup on every one of those teams, which is noteworthy since Seraphin has publicly stated that he "want[s] the chance to be a starter." We can also probably rule out the Suns with Tyson Chandler and Alex Len, as well as the Spurs now that they have David West. It would take an ideal situation for Seraphin to emerge as a reliable fantasy factor next year.

Kevin Seraphin is getting interest from the Wizards, Lakers, Suns and Spurs.

The Spurs would not sign Seraphin if they're able to get David West, and the same goes for the Wizards. Seraphin finished his 2014-15 season on a high note thanks to Marcin Gortat getting sick, but he's unlikely to get significant minutes no matter where he lands.
Jul 4 - 9:21 PM

The Clippers are reportedly interested in unrestricted free agent Kevin Seraphin.

Seraphin has let it be known that he'd like the opportunity to start, so perhaps he'll be a backup plan for Los Angeles if they end up losing DeAndre Jordan via free agency. Seraphin could emerge as a shot blocking and rebounding specialist if he secures a starting role, but that is far from a certainty.
Jul 2 - 6:44 PM

Kevin Seraphin, who is set to become a free agent this summer, said that he wants to go somewhere that will allow him the chance to be a starter.

"I definitely want a chance to be a starter," Seraphin said in regards to his free agency. Marcin Gortat is penciled in as the starter for the Wizards over the next few years, so it sounds like Seraphin's time in Washington is coming to an end. Seraphin averaged 6.6 points, 3.6 boards and 0.7 blocks in just 15.6 minutes per game this season, so he is definitely a player to monitor if he lands in an ideal situation next season.
May 16 - 1:28 PM

Kevin Seraphin surprisingly played 28 minutes against the Hawks on Friday scoring a playoff career-high 13 points with eight rebounds, one steal and one block.

His potential was on display in this losing effort and coach Randy Wittman went away from Marcin Gortat, who played just 12 minutes tonight. Seraphin will be a free agent this summer and tonight probably helped him earn a little bit of extra money.
May 15 - 9:58 PM

Kevin Seraphin played 39 minutes during a 113-108 loss to the Cavs on Wednesday with 12 points, 12 boards, two assists, one steal and three blocks.

The Wizards didn't play 80 percent of their usual starting lineup and Marcin Gortat only played 14 minutes, so it was Seraphin's golden opportunity tonight. That won't be the case when the Wizards travel to Toronto for Game 1 on Saturday.
Apr 16 - 12:34 AM

Kevin Seraphin fell out of the Wizards' rotation on Sunday, failing to record any stats in under one minute of action.

Seraphin has been logging a steady 15-20 minutes off the bench all year and it's doubtful that he'll fall completely out of the rotation. That said, he's not a viable fantasy option while scrapping for minutes in a frontcourt that includes Marcin Gortat, Nene, Kris Humphries and Drew Gooden.
Apr 12 - 9:00 PM

Kevin Seraphin (illness) will be available for Sunday's game against the Pistons.

Seraphin will play limited minutes behind Kris Humphries and Nene tonight, and with season averages of 7.0 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, he can't be considered a viable option in most leagues.
Feb 22 - 2:17 PM

Kevin Seraphin's (illness) status is still up in the air for Sunday's game against Detroit.

With Nene and Kris Humphries both less than 100 percent, the Wizards could definitely use Seraphin's presence off the bench. We should know more closer to tip-off, so owners will want to check back later for updates. With averages of 7.8 points and 3.8 boards, Seraphin's fantasy value is limited to deeper leagues.
Feb 22 - 1:22 PM

Kevin Seraphin (illness) did get in some practice on Saturday.

That suggests he'll be able to play on Sunday against the Pistons. Nene didn't look totally healthy and Kris Humphries is also less than 100 percent, so the Wizards could use Seraphin right now as a backup. He's not worth owning in most leagues.
Feb 21 - 2:38 PM

Updating a previous report, Kevin Seraphin (flu-like symptoms) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Cavs.

Look for Kris Humphries to pick up most of Seraphin's reserve minutes, but with averages of just 8.1 points and 6.4 rebounds with the second unit, Humphries can't be relied upon for production in standard leagues.
Feb 20 - 7:50 PM

Kevin Seraphin (flu-like symptoms) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Cavs.

If Seraphin is unable to go on Friday, Kris Humphries will pick up most of his minutes, although neither guy can be considered a viable option in standard leagues.
Feb 20 - 7:46 PM

The Wolves are interested in Kevin Seraphin, according to J. Michael of CSN Washington

With the Wolves likely to trade Thaddeus Young and maybe even Anthony Bennett, there could be some playing time for Seraphin on the Wolves. He's still been very inconsistent in the past two seasons, so fantasy owners can keep him on the wire in most leagues.
