Kevin Seraphin said that he asked to be traded away from the Wizards every year after his second NBA season.
"My playing time fluctuated without reason," said Seraphin. "I spoke a lot with Paul [Pierce] and John [Wall]. And they did not understand. This summer, I met a staff member of the Wizards in a New York restaurant. He said, 'Your problem is that you got Randy Wittman.'" Seraphin finds himself in a similar situation with the Pacers, as he'll struggle to get consistent minutes behind Myles Turner and Al Jefferson, so he won't be worth drafting in most formats. Pacers sign F/C Kevin Seraphin.

Seraphin will be an insurance policy for a remade Pacers frontcourt and should not be on the fantasy radar in standard leagues.

Kevin Seraphin revealed that his No. 1 offseason priority was to sign with FC Barcelona.

Seraphin, who just agreed to a two-year deal with the Pacers, was apparently looking for a larger role overseas in order to showcase his skills. "Barcelona was my first option," he said. "I was looking forward to an opportunity to play a lot and show people what I can do. Since it didn’t happen with Barcelona, we looked at opportunities in the NBA." Although Seraphin was able to latch on in Indiana, he shouldn't be on the fantasy radar in any format.

Kevin Seraphin has agreed to a two-year deal with the Pacers.

The first year of the deal is guaranteed. The Pacers are lacking some depth and they will need some insurance behind Al Jefferson and Myles Turner. Considering how the Pacers should be pushing the tempo, Seraphin is likely only projected to get minutes at the five. He likely won't be in the rotation to start the season, though.
Sep 1 - 11:46 PM

Kevin Seraphin has reportedly had discussions with the Pacers regarding a potential contract.

Seraphin was reportedly expected to workout for the Pacers, so it sounds like that workout went well. He may be able to snag a deal with Indiana for close to the minimum, but he wouldn't be anything more than an emergency depth kind of guy and would have zero fantasy value just about everywhere.
Sep 1 - 7:02 PM

Kevin Seraphin will work out for the Pacers, according to Yann Ohnona of L'Equipe.

Seraphin has rejected offers from overseas in the interest of staying in the NBA and the Pacers may be the opportunity he's been waiting for. While Seraphin has played well in spurts, the 26-year-old isn't consistent enough to warrant consideration in standard fantasy leagues.

David Pick is reporting that Kevin Seraphin has rejected several offers both from China and Europe and he's still waiting for some offers from the NBA.

Seraphin, an unrestricted free agent, recently hired Bouna Ndiaye of Klutch Sports as his agent. Seraphin played well occasionally last season in New York, but was far too inconsistent to earn regular playing time. The majority of NBA teams have filled most of their roster spots by this point, so Seraphin may have a hard time securing a guaranteed contract in the States.

According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Kevin Seraphin is still hoping to find another job in the NBA despite drawing interest from FC Barcelona.

The 26-year-old big man clearly hasn't generated much interest around the NBA after a quiet season in New York and he's running out of time. We'll keep an eye on this, but it's doubtful that Seraphin will land in a situation that will allow him to hold standard-league fantasy value.

According to Eurohoops.net, there is nothing to the recent rumor that Kevin Seraphin is closing in on a one-year deal with Barcelona of Spain.

Eurohoops states that Seraphin has not even participated in any negotiations with the Spanish club, and given that Seraphin could probably make more money (although play less) at the NBA level, it would be a bit surprising to see him land overseas. Seraphin is currently an unrestricted free agent, but there aren't many situations out there that will grant the shot-blocking Frenchman a real shot at fantasy value.

Kevin Seraphin is reportedly closing in on a one-year deal worth roughly $2 million with Barcelona of Spain.

Seraphin is currently an unrestricted free agent, but he hasn't generated much interest on the open market. Playing overseas may grant Seraphin with the most opportunity for playing time.

Jul 26 - 5:22 PM

Kevin Seraphin was noncommittal when asked about a potential return to the Knicks next season.

"We will see what’s going on, because it still is a business," Seraphin said. "I don’t like to address that stuff too much because we never know what’s going to happen." That's a rather lukewarm endorsement of the current situation, and it wouldn't be surprising to see the big man move on to another club.
Apr 11 - 1:34 PM

Kurt Rambis called Kevin Seraphin an "intriguing player," praising his size and strength in the process.

"Kevin, he’s an intriguing player. He has been for us all year," Rambis said. "He’s got great strength and size but tremendous mobility. He can really move his feet. … Sometimes he has trouble stopping once he gets going, but he’s just an interesting player. He hasn’t been playing basketball that long, so he needs to let his game blossom, and we’re trying to figure out where he can be best suited for us in terms of where he can play." The Knicks probably should have started this process earlier in the season, but Seraphin does figure to get in some extra run with Kristaps Porzingis (shoulder) sidelined and New York out of postseason contention.
Apr 3 - 3:12 PM

Kevin Seraphin scored 12 points with seven rebounds and one steal in 22 minutes against the Nets on Friday.

He's getting some extra minutes with Kristaps Porzingis (shoulder) likely out. Seraphin is only worth a look in very deep leagues.
Apr 1 - 10:17 PM

Kevin Seraphin (foot) had two points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 12 bench minutes vs. the Bulls on Wednesday.

The Knicks' big man looked good tonight, but he has a bit role in the rotation and isn't worth considering while Robin Lopez is healthy.
Mar 23 - 11:28 PM

Kevin Seraphin (foot) will be available to play Wednesday vs. Chicago.

Seraphin sat out Sunday's loss to Sacramento with a minor foot issue, but he'll be available tonight. That being said, Seraphin is rarely a meaningful part of the rotation so he belongs on the waiver wire just about everywhere.
