With Beno Udrih set to undergo season-ending foot surgery, and Tyler Johnson (shoulder) likely done for the year, the Heat will consider adding another guard to the roster.
Jordan Crawford, Dorell Wright, Tony Wroten and Jon Lucas will be among those considered, but Miami is unlikely to make a season-long signing until March 7, as signing another guy now would put Miami back over the tax threshold and they'd be forced to pay a stiff repeat offender fee on their luxury tax. For now, Josh Richardson figures to earn the bulk of the minutes as Goran Dragic's primary backup, although he can't be considered a viable target in most settings. Feb 24 - 9:49 AM

Jordan Crawford scored 72 points for Tianjin in China on Friday, adding 16 rebounds, five steals and four 3-pointers.

You know his Steez. He went 25-of-52 from the field and 18-of-20 from the line. His team only scored 102 points in the win. That means Crawford scoring 70.6 percent of his team's points was actually a higher percentage than when Kobe Bryant dropped 81 of his team's 122 points back on Jan. 22, 2006, and also greater than Wilt Chamberlain's percentage of his team's 169 points when he scored 100 back in 1962. Steez is not going to the Hall of Fame, though.

Jordan Crawford has signed with Tianjin in China.

The Bulls waived him in October, but Crawford is talented and will likely be back on the NBA radar in the near future. He is well off the fantasy radar, though,

The Bulls waived G Jordan Crawford on Thursday.

Crawford failed to impress during the preseason, and it's looking like he'll need to head overseas if he'd like to make money playing professional basketball.

Bulls sign G Jordan Crawford to a training camp contract.

The Bulls have also signed Marcus Simmons and Jake Anderson to camp deals, as well. Of the trio, Crawford is the one with the most realistic shot of making the roster, but he'll have to wow in camp in order to do so.

Free agent G Jordan Crawford has reportedly agreed to a training-camp deal with the Bulls.

Crawford, who played in China and the D-League last season, has an uphill battle to make Chicago's final roster. He's played 257 games in the NBA for four franchises, with career averages of 12.3 points on 40.5 percent shooting, including 30.6 percent from downtown.

Jordan Crawford said his new nickname is "Sizzle" and he left his old nickname "Steez" in Boston and Washington, D.C.

"When I land on the pan, I pop," Crawford said. "You know that’s all sizzle." Well, his old nickname "Steez" was one of the best -- especially for Gang Starr fans -- so this is a downgrade. Crawford didn't impress with the Mavs at 2015 Summer League with just 10.2 points per game on 36.1 percent from the field, so he's not a lock to be on a roster. We're still going to call him Steez.

The Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the D-League acquired Jordan Crawford.

He was with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers this year and played five games, averaging 29.4 points, 3.4 assists, 0.4 steals and 3.8 triples. Amazingly, 89.7 percent of Crawford's shots with the Flying Tigers were treys, so not much has changed.

Jordan Crawford is drawing "strong NBA interest," according to RealGM.

If Crawford had a strong NBA market, he wouldn't have signed in China. A few teams may give him a look once he's eligible to be signed, but he's got a lot of work in front of him to sustain a real role in the league.

Jordan Crawford has agreed to a contract with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association.

This is an interesting move for a player who averaged 13.7 points and 5.7 assists through 39 games last season, but the 25-year-old wasn't receiving more than veteran minimum offers from NBA teams. While Crawford may end up returning to the NBA after the CBA season ends in February, he doesn't need to be on fantasy radars entering 2014-15 drafts.

The Heat are serious about adding another shooting guard if they can find a good one willing to take the veteran's minimum.

It makes sense that the Heat would like to add another body to play behind Dwyane Wade, as the current backups project to be Danny Granger, and Reggie Williams. The organization has inquired about Jordan Crawford, and Leandro Barbosa, and they have also worked out Chris Douglas-Roberts. The fantasy value of these players would be dependent upon the health of Wade, but Crawford profiles as the guy that could put up the most numbers from a fantasy standpoint. Stay tuned.

Given that the Warriors have a plethora of guards, they're said to be willing to help free agent Jordan Crawford find a new team with a sign-and-trade, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Nothing could be better for Crawford's playing time and fantasy value than getting out of Golden State. There are just too many guards in front of him and even if a sign-and-trade doesn't happen, Crawford's an unrestricted free agent and will almost certainly end up in a better situation this season. He's receiving interest from the Bulls, Mavs, Lakers, Knicks and Nets, according to Yahoo's sources.

The Warriors will not give Jordan Crawford a qualifying offer, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Crawford can still be brought back to the team but they want to keep their cap situation as clean as possible in the meantime. He showed his typical array of offensive-minded basketball during his time in Golden State.

Jordan Crawford scored a career-high 41 points along with five rebounds, two assists and a steal in Wednesday's win over the Nuggets.

You could see him having a big game with the Warriors resting the regulars, but this was better than any of us could have imagined. Harrison Barnes chipped in with 30, while Randy Foye scored 32 and had 11 assists for the Nuggets in the loss. The Warriors are healthy, with the exception of Andrew Bogut, and ready to take on the Clippers in Round 1 of the playoffs. And that, our friends, is a wrap on the 2013-14 regular season.

Jordan Crawford scored just three points in seven minutes on Monday, but could see a bump in minutes now that the Warriors have clinched the No. 6 spot in the West.

Mark Jackson said that a lot of guys could rest on Wednesday and Crawford fits the description of a season finale special. He comes with no guarantees, but he fits the profile of a high-upside guy that owners may want to reach for. Steve Blake could also get some extra run, though at his age the Dubs may decide not to run him quite as hard.
