Jordan Crawford scored 15 points with one rebound, four assists and three 3-pointers in 27 minutes against the Mavs on Wednesday.
Whether you call him Steez or Instant Grits, Crawford has been getting it done lately. He's scored in double figures for six straight games with 2.3 treys per game in that span. He's still got some work to do to be anything more than a specialist, but give him a look if you need some scoring with a couple dimes thrown in there. Mar 30 - 12:54 AM

Jordan Crawford scored 14 points and hit two triples vs. the Jazz on Monday.

The Pelicans were in comeback mode down the stretch, so Crawford played a season-high 30 minutes. He shot just 5-of-16 from the field with one rebound, two assists and one block, but it's obvious that he has the green light from coach Alvin Gentry. If the Pelicans start shutting down some players in the near future, Crawford could be a sneaky pickup.
Mar 28 - 1:59 AM

Jordan Crawford posted 13 points with seven assists, five rebounds and a steal in 24 minutes off the bench in Sunday's game at Denver.

Crawford has been outstanding for the second unit in New Orleans, posting 10 or more points in nine of his 10 outings with the team. He is averaging 14.3 points and 2.5 rebounds over his past four games to give fantasy owners in deeper leagues some solid production. He is also a cheap source of points for those playing DFS down the stretch.
Mar 26 - 10:40 PM

Jordan Crawford played 21 minutes off the bench on Sunday to finish with 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting, including a 4-of-7 mark from downtown.

Crawford has been a great fit for the Pelicans' second unit, providing an offensive punch with 13.0 points, 2.5 triples and 3.2 assists per game. Tonight's 22 points were the most he's scored in a Pelicans' jersey, and he's worth a glance if you need a cheap points-and-3s specialist -- he added just two boards tonight, without any assists, steals or blocks.
Mar 19 - 8:57 PM

Jordan Crawford scored seven points with five rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes against the Rockets on Friday.

The Pelicans didn't need his scoring in this game because Solomon Hill had the game of his life. Crawford is still giving the team good minutes, but his hot start with the two different 19-point games last week seems to be his high point. He's not the strongest hold.
Mar 18 - 12:52 AM

Jordan Crawford has agreed to a two-year deal with the Pelicans.

He was due to get a second 10-day deal this week, but the Pelicans have seen enough to sign him. Steez has arguably been the fourth best player on the team since he joined, averaging 14.2 points, 1.8 boards, 3.2 assists, 0.6 steals and 2.8 treys in those five. He's really just a points and treys guy, but he can add some dimes and steals. You could do worse in standard leagues, especially now that he should remain in the rotation until the end of the season.
Mar 16 - 2:39 PM

Jordan Crawford is expected to sign a second 10-day deal with the Pelicans.

He's been solid through five games, averaging 14.2 points, 3.2 assists, 1.8 rebounds, 0.6 steals and 2.8 triples in 23.4 minutes per game. At the conclusion of his second 10-day deal, we'd be very surprised if the Pelicans didn't sign him for the remainder of the season. He's certainly on the radar as a pickup if you're targeting points and 3-pointers.
Mar 16 - 11:30 AM

Jordan Crawford hit 5-of-11 shots and two 3-pointers for 13 points and one assist in 23 minutes in Tuesday's easy win over the Blazers.

He's played in four games this season, all for the Pelicans in the last week, and has scored in double figures in all of them. If you need points and 3-pointers, he's probably worth a flier, depending on who you'd cut. But just keep in mind he's not going to do much for you in the peripheral stats categories, which was displayed in tonight's one-dimensional performance.
Mar 14 - 11:28 PM

Jordan Crawford scored 19 points with one rebound, six assists, five 3-pointers and no turnovers in 27 minutes against the Hornets.

Steez is back. He started out on fire with 15 points on a 150.0 effective field goal percentage, but he cooled off as the game went on with similar usage. Coach Alvin Gentry has used him as both a wing guy and as a ball-handler, so he clearly trusts a guy he hasn't even had on his active roster for a week. His minutes have increased in every game since his arrival and he may actually get to 30 minutes. Still, Crawford is going to be all over the place, so he's really just a competitive league guy for now. He does have four games coming up, so he could be useful if you need treys and points in your upcoming matchup. He's almost a lock to pick up a second 10-day deal, especially with Hollis Thompson's second 10-day deal ending next week.
Mar 11 - 11:10 PM

Jordan Crawford scored 10 points with three assists, three rebounds and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes against the Raptors on Wednesday.

Earlier at shootaround Crawford said the Pelicans were going to find ways to get him the rock and they did come through. He did some huffing and puffing on the bench during this game, so his wind may not be there all the way yet. If Anthony Davis (wrist) misses any time, Crawford could be looking at a few extra shots. He's just a scoring specialist in deep leagues.
Mar 8 - 11:58 PM

Jordan Crawford said he was surprised about his 19-point season debut on Monday.

He said had some "crazy" travel issues in the past four days, but he's had time to get watch tape and get with the coaches now. Crawford said he wants to make it easier on the frontcourt, but the coaching staff is going to get him some offensive action with drag screens to get free. Crawford is an interesting DFS punt or stream in season-long leagues.

Mar 8 - 2:53 PM

Jordan Crawford had a strong debut for the Pelicans on Monday vs. the Jazz, scoring 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting.

Some things never change. Crawford has always been known as a great scorer and he showed why tonight, notching 14 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter. He added three assists, one rebound, two steals and three 3-pointers in 20 minutes, and he has a great opportunity to carve out a role with the Pelicans in need of a shooter on the wings. If you're in a deeper league, go ahead and put him on your radar in case he does this again.
Mar 7 - 12:38 AM

Jordan Crawford has officially signed a 10-day contract with the Pelicans, and he will be available to play Monday vs. Utah.

The Pelicans have very little depth at the two-spot, so there's a chance Crawford will be able to find quality minutes in New Orleans. He's was averaging 22.8 points per game in the D-League this season, and the last time he suited up for an NBA regular-season game during the 2013-14 season he dropped 41 points in a win over the Nuggets as a member of the Warriors, so it'll be interesting to see what he can do with the Pelicans. To be clear, this is wait-and-see territory in most leagues.

Mar 6 - 4:14 PM

The Pelicans are interested in bringing in Jordan Crawford on a 10-day deal.

The 28-year-old SG has played for four different NBA teams with career averages of 12.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.1 triples on 40.5 percent shooting. He's been lighting up the D-League with 23.5 points per game, and it's not crazy to think that he could carve out a decent role on a Pelicans team that is very thin on reliable wings. Just keep an eye on this if you're in a deeper league.
Mar 6 - 1:43 PM

Jordan Crawford will reportedly start the season in the D-League.

According to league sources, the 28-year-old will begin the 2016-17 season with the Grand Rapids Drive. While Crawford could have value in deeper fantasy leagues if he hooks on somewhere, he's far off the standard league radar after spending last year in China.
